My wife and I stopped in today for lunch. I got the 2 piece chicken. She got the north side spicy chicken sandwich. We also tried the mashed potatoes with gravy and the mac n cheese. Holy smokes! It?s so hard to find a good breakfast sandwich in Madison, especially on the east side, so when I recently discovered this place I was blown away. The English muffin breakfast sandwich (which can also be done on a dang DONUT) was amazing. It was like $5, can?t beat that!! I also find the lore behind the place funny. It used to be a car shop and literally looks like one, all the way down to the garage door. Definitely recommend trying it out!

Had a great experience at Zippy Lube. The cashier was very friendly and our food came out quickly. The cauliflower sandwich was a very unique option and my partner and I both enjoyed the mac and cheese. Had a strawberry sprinkle donut and was pleasantly surprised to taste that it was clearly made from real strawberries. It was very moist and soft. Will definitely be back for breakfast sandwiches! Amazing hidden gem. We came in on a Friday and ordered a few things. The breakfast sandwich with sausage and bacon on a cinnamon sugar bagel was amazing and would definitely get that again. I?ve ordered the chicken sandwich from this place several times now and each time it?s been loaded with pickles and enough sauce. Been A+ each time. Holy moly. I can't with this chicken sandwich. It is the best chicken sandwich I've had in my life. I've heard people describe flavors as "zippy" before and I get it now. The pickles? Insanely tasty, I want a jar of them. The bun? There like lingerie. The chicken? The well-seasoned, juicy star. I would cross the city to get this. I came for the donut breakfast sandwich and I can say it didn?t disappoint! The donut for the sandwich was very fresh reminded me of those tiny state fair donuts was very hot and delicious I went with the cinnamon sugar instead of the plain and when I come next time I will go with the plain and get the fresh cinnamon sugar ones on the side. I also had one of the strawberry donuts the glaze was tasty but I preferred the hot donuts.

Was there the first day and had the Northside hot chicken, some Mac and cheese, iced coffee and a couple donuts. Kinda of underwhelmed and overpriced. The coffee was meh and the chicken was bland and SUPER greasy. Had a "need to change the grease" taste to it. The hot was just hot...not flavorful. The Mac was tasty though. It's local and brand new, so I will try it again but I'm hoping it can only go up from here.

What a great transformation. Beautiful space.. tables were all taken the morning we went, so we got our food to go. A breakfast sandwich made with the cake donuts. Carried out the Mac, Northside Hot Sandwich and a cappuccino. The Mac has some smokey cheese in it and was my favorite 5/5. The sandwich is also good. It's more of a mild spice level and was nicely cooked for chicken breast 4/5. The cappuccino wasn't anything to write home about as the espresso didn't really come through 3/5. They make a mean fried chicken sandwich, though the "Northside hot" doesn't come across particularly hot/spicy to me. However, the donuts are excellent and the coffee (despite using a lower end machine) is nothing to sneeze at either! 10/10 will stop back, very intrigued by the donut sandwich.

Went for some chicken here, cuz the whole town was shut down by the police for some one coming tot he airport. Stopped here the other night and had the spicy chicken sandwich and cauliflower wings. Pretty good. Breading was really crispy and had a good flavor. They were out of bone in chicken that night, but I definitely plan on coming back.

My experience at Zippy Lube boils down to nothing but excellence. Food? 10/10. Best fried chicken in Madison. Best donuts in Madison. Their homemade whipped cream is a must try with any donut. Their mac and cheese must have crack in it because I can't stop eating it. It somehow has the nostalgic essence of Kraft/Velveeta box mac n cheese while also tastes like legitimately good mac and cheese. I'm usually not a fan of vinegar based coleslaw but I was able to polish off a small order of it.
