I came here randomly last week. They were out of most donuts at 9:30am, but the lady at the counter was super friendly and helpful. I got a custard donut and jalapeno sausage roll. Both were excellent.
This donut shop is the greatest place for breakfast in the morning from the Donuts to the desserts to the Colacis the coffee and the drinks i've been coming here since I went to high school in Richardson
My parents took my sister and I to Zaks on Saturday mornings when we were kids, now they take our kids. The quality of food and customer service have always been wonderful, Always good food and super nice people! It?s one of those childhood memories that my children and I will get to share!!! It sounds silly but it?s a cherished ?tradition?.
Greeted warmly when I walked in around 5:30am. Their was a full selection of donuts available and fresh coffee made. That was nice, some places have the complete opposite. I don't usually eat donuts very often so it was nice that she had patience with me while I made my choice, I ended up getting two sausage croissants and a chocolate donut. Definitely wanted another after I was finished, that's a good sign. Lol.
If its NOT A SERVICE DOG LEAVE IT OUTSIDE dog scratching all inside the building with hair flying everywhere NOT GOOD
Even though the place is small, that really doesn?t hide the fact that the donuts and the sausage rolls are super delicious! The servers are nice and helpful, and the atmosphere is definitely up there. I recommend the jumbo sausage roll with cheese. I love that you will sometimes be given free donut holes or even a whole donut! ??
Sorry, but these donuts are awful. They look good in the case, but after I heated them up, they were pure grease. Left old grease taste on the roof of my mouth... had to toss them out. $6 down the drain... ugh

This place is great, my friend wakes me up. Or at least tries to just so I can get there before they sell out. Yes they do sellout of donuts they are that delicious, a few occasions I have gotten a dozen and gone back for another dozen they are freshly made, and omg delicious. If you've never had a donut from here it's definitely worth stopping by snd checking out...I enjoy them
Simple but so satisfying! I am a fan of donuts when made JUST RIGHT! These little dough joys are made perfectly not overly saturated with grease and too light. The joint is nothing fancy but let the simplicity of the outside not fool you. I?m only here for donuts. Yea okay, sausage rolls are good, but the little round dough-made heaven created with the simple ingredients is all I want (with my own provided coffee) ??
These guys were open during the Ice storm of Jan/Feb 2023 and they were so friendly! I was able to get my workers fresh & delicious donuts & pigs in a blanket, and he tossed in some free donut holes! Will definitely be back

The family that kept this business delicious, lively, & friendly for many many many years are no longer at Zak's Donuts. Today was my first visit with the new crew & I was quite disappointed in the taste difference. The donuts were noticeably smaller & left a greasy taste in my mouth. :-(
I love donuts and I try as many places as possible. This place seems to be hit or miss. I got a chocolate, glazed, maple, and blueberry. On the way to work, my car smelled of dough instead of doughnuts. The maple was great. The dough was flavorful. the glaze was spot on. not too sweet. The overall feel was greasy. The chocolate was bad. The dough tasted OFF. It honestly reminded me of the way that a nail salon smells. chemicals. The dough seems to be golden brown like it was cooked too much or like it w
I wanted to buy a couple dozen donuts so I was debating whether I should go here or Krispy Kreme but decided on here to support local and I made the right decision! These are so soft and tasty definitely coming back! And the lady is so nice as well!

A genuine Mom and Pop donut shop, and its he best place to get donuts in town. Some of the most bomb kolaches and their donuts are always excellent. The owners are really nice people too.

Everytime I have gone lately I order two corissant kolaches w/out pepper and she give me ones w/ jalapenos. I grew up going to this shop, so I am very disappointed. Is it on purpose? A lady accidently grabbed an expired drink and they sat there and talked about her instead of just saying sorry and moving on. Bad experiences lately.
Best donut shop in the metroplex. Excellent customer service with a great product. Edit: There appears to be new management. So far I see no increase in price or decrease in quality.
