Stopped in for two donuts, and apple fritter and a chocolate glazed. The fritter was stale and the glazed was just okay.

I was visiting Winters for a week. Donuts (from independent donut shops) are a thing my husband and I love to try when we're traveling. Where we live (Brooklyn), there are fancy donut shops and chains, but it's hard to find delicious basic donuts. The people of Winters do not have this problem for sure! We first tried Winters Donuts mid-week and my only regret was that I didn't start this love affair on day one. They were so good! Just their basic glazed yeast donut was like a dream of cloud like fried doug

The guy that was working really tried, but the decor is horrible, I was too scared to sit. The flies seem to enjoy almost the sugar on the donuts ,and my lovely sausage biscuit was nuked right in front of me. I was shocked into buying the sandwich and only after I took a few bites did I realize he heated in the microwave. Never again, for sure (I can nuke my own, ty)

AWESOME place! My family was driving through Winters for the first time ever this morning around breakfast time. We stopped at the donut shop and will be forever grateful we stopped! The jalape?o kolaches are like Heaven on earth. Even better than the kolaches was the service tho. Friendly, smiling faces that were happy to see us. Every town needs a donut stop like Winters!
