Westernco Donut

Westernco Donut

Reviews Summary

Westernco Donut is praised for its fresh, fluffy, and delicious donuts, with standout favorites like the maple bacon bar, apple fritter, and chocolate crullers. Many highlight the need to arrive early due to frequent sell-outs, especially on weekends. Service is generally friendly, though some note occasional rudeness or inconsistency. Pricing is reasonable, though slightly higher than average. A major drawback is unreliable hours, with multiple reports of closures or delays not matching posted times. Cash is preferred for small purchases, with a $5 card minimum. Despite some operational flaws, it’s considered a hidden gem for quality, classic donuts.

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would!! These were impeccable donuts! ?? They were even delicious the next day for breakfast as a little treat! Would absolutely recommend the maple bacon, blueberry, lemon filled, and classic pink sprinkle. Everyone there is so sweet and patient, as well! ??

Great donuts! Old school style with care and thought. The peanut butter and Jelly were delicious. The first time Ive ever had a pbj filled donut! Their simple glazed donut was also delicious. Definitely recommend this place

The donuts are ok..Unles they are fresh first thing in the morning then they are pretty good... sometimes they have yesterday donuts left over and try to sell them first before they bring out the trays of hot and fresh... Service is kinda rude... My biggest complaint is they never open on time always 1 hour to 1-1/2 late, then they only have a few donuts available when they first open. One cook and two girls and when you ask about the hours the girls give you attitude and try to rush you out the door..

This place has a loyal fanbase, and it's easy to see why. The yeast donuts are so light and fluffy, and not over-glazed. Some items had already sold out before noon on a Tuesday so if you're hankering for something specific, earlier is probably better! Only tried the plain glazed, twist, maple bar (impressively not too sweet!), and a chocolate filled (so good) this time but already regretting not trying the apple fritter. The old fashioned and cake donuts looked good too (if that's more your style).

I came at 6:15am and unfortunately no PBJ or apple fritters available yet. Got a buttermilk old fashioned and it was decent. The ham and cheese jalape?o croissant was the real treat! Hope to come back later time to catch the sweet stuff

As of 2022, new owners have taken over and have provided the same great donuts, fresh and quickly. Newly refreshed inside, as well as a great and speedy staff that love their product and the people they serve.

Craving donuts this early morning. I wanted to go to my regular donut stop but they're closed on Sunday and ended up coming here at 5:30am. Super clean place and friendly ladies. I picked bacon maple bar, chocolate donut filled with custard cream and filled with apple one. All of so~soft, fresh & flaky donuts. Its melted in my mouth. Yummy Now I have new regular donut stop. Pleasantly surprised with this old school donut shop.

So I fell in love with the donut shop when I was working at Burger King across the street I smell it every morning I'm going to go get me some donuts ever since then I've been hooked on these donuts and everybody I know it's hooked on these donuts they have a good atmosphere Good vibes the donuts is so good if so moist if a kid I eat donuts from there everyday what should I do you can't help it it just tastes so good

OMG!! Let me start off by saying the maple bacon bar from Westernco Donut is a winner. The donut is very light and airy. The maple icing was not overly sweet. It had the perfect amount and crunch to the bacon. It was straight fire, iykyk!! Must try. I picked out a couple of other flavors, including blueberry filling, strawberry filling, apple fritter, chocolate glazed, sugar twist, maple bar, and chocolate sprinkles. The ones I did try were all light, fluffy, and airy. Yummy! My least favorite so far was

Came at 3:45 and they were completely closed with lights off and nobody inside. On google it says they close at 4. Not sure what happened but i was disappointed

Not too busy at 9:30 am on a Saturday, and the case was pretty full (no apple fritters unfortunately). Easy in and out, staff were very friendly and helpful.

The best donuts in the PNW!! Their cake donuts are fantastic, maple glaze is impeccable, and their variety is spot on. I come here all the way from Olympia!

Wonderful hardworking staff, great donuts. Simple is best. Come early to get what you need. Awesome assortment. Custard filled chocolate glazed (Bismark) is delicious. The box is to share.

Good amount of seating, good prices.

All the classic donuts were available mid afternoon. All were super tasty. We got maple bar, regular glazed, glazed blueberry cake, and sugar twisted donuts.

A rare find in the Seattle region - a classic donut shop with delicious pastries and reasonable prices. Bring cash - there is a $5 min. to use a card

These are the best donuts I've had in Washington state by a pretty wide margin. The dough is perfect - light, buttery but with good body. Flavors are incredible - the jellies are just right, the creams are delicious, the glazes taste great and aren't too thick. Went there for the first time with friends to pick up donuts for the machinists on strike at Boeing. A few days later we had this text exchange, which should tell you everything you need to know.

Good donuts with solid fundamentals. Nothing fancy, but fresh and high quality. They have a nice selection of donuts as well as a few non-donut options like blueberry muffins, and cinnamon rolls. The enormous PB&J donut was a delight. There are a few tables to grab a quick bite, but mostly carryout. I'm looking forward to coming back again.

My only issue with Westernco is that it?s almost never open at 5am. I go countless times before work to get donuts for my crew and for an entire week straight it was not open at 5. Today I sat there until 5:20 and still not open. If you?re not going to be open at the time you say you will update your store hours instead of having customers waste their time.

These people don't know how to pack a donut. You don't put the frosted side of a Maple bar up against a brown paper bag. The frosting sticks to the bag and ruins the donut. When I called to ask them about it, they were rude and snapped at me, asking me "well how should I pack it"? Are you kidding me? I said, you use parchment paper, it isn't hard. These people are jerks. Just go to Top Pot. Ignore this place. Please. The service sucks, and the donuts are not that amazing. Terrible experience, will never g

Best donuts around! I recommend the peanut butter and jelly bear claw. I haven?t seen it anywhere else.

Yeah I know I shouldn't be such a sugar fanatic, I don't indulge a lot but when I do this is where I get my donuts... It's my granddaughter's favorite place henceforth it is mine, we go there for the pink sprinkled donuts she gets the donut holes as well and I get the maple with the bacon... These things are so good... The bacon and the perfect yeasty taste and smell is so delectable... Makes my mouth water just writing this... I feel too guilty if I don't go get my granddaughter to go with me, I better go

After reading a bad review, I tried this place anyway as Chuck's donuts are almost always out of everything when I go in there, I was actually in there today, they had about 6 donuts, 3 if which were donut holes, the Lady that went in before me turned and walked out just as I did, there was a Family that went in, the Parents and a little cutie, they also left without buying anything. I looked for another donut shop and found Westerco, they had a lot of fresh delicious donuts, I bought a dozen even though I

I enjoy your donuts but when you say you're open at 5am and you aren't it really puts a damper on the day.

THE best donuts in the area for sure! I?m a bit of a donut snob and am hard to please when it comes to this pastry. Westernco hasn?t failed me yet. Fresh, delicious, reasonably priced, friendly customer service.

Good doughnuts but on the spendy side. Service was blah, customer service was non-existant.

As someone who worked in food service and with the customers directly for over 15 years, you generally dont argue with a customer after the order is wrong no matter which side is at fault. But I will be back because its the closest bacon maple bar to where I live. Just make sure they are grabbing what you asked for.

I'm sitting here after a 20 minute drive, writing this review cuz I got here at 4:25 pm and the doors are locked and I can't get anyone to answer the phone despite their clearly being a person inside. Looks like the hours don't match the Google maps ad, which is the most important ad to have correct, since people that are already here generally don't get as upset when they find out you're not open, since they didn't check beforehand. Also I was here 5 minutes before 4:30.

Nice staff and overall decent doughnuts, however this is the second visit we've come home to find our filled doughnuts were actually pretty empty. Wish there was some way the staff could do a better job of ensuring the quality of their product....

enjoyed this cute little shop. staff was friendly and helpful and the donuts were yummy. be sure to check work hours though, they seem to differ from the ones that appear on Google.

Lovely little donut shop, very clean, great variety, happy staff, good prices.

This is the best donut place in Renton, hands down. The donuts are fresh and tasty and delicious. They have a great selection to choose from and some non-donut options. The prices are fair to inexpensive and they also sell coffee and a wide variety of beverages. There is never a rancid oil aftertaste like the other donut place I won't mention. They are family owned and operated and I often see people eating inside and just hanging out. Highly recommend!

Best donuts on the planet. If you get there between 6:00 and 9:00 or so in the morning the donuts are still warm and the dough is crispy but gooey. They are so good. They often run out by mid-afternoon especially on the weekends so get there early or miss out. Staff is helpful and friendly. They are not a trendy type of place they don't have all kinds of exaggerated or off the wall Creations called donuts. They stick to the basics and that's okay with me. Thank you Westernco. You start my day right two or t

This place is a hidden gem. If you love fluffy warm fresh donuts this is your spot. Good prices and great toppings. Def recommend coming in early to get the best experience! Maple bars and chocolate glaze are killers!

Google says it opens at 5am and I'm standing outside watching some lady slowly mope around inside. At 5:10 I called, and in broken english was told they don't open until 5:30. Wasted my morning, and this wasn't the first time. I've showed up at 6am before and they were just pulling into the parking lot. Shame on them, lost my business. $18 for a box of stale donuts is a ripoff anyways.

The best glazed donuts in town! The glazed donuts are better than the Krispy Kreme glazed donuts. Also, their donuts are both pretty and delicious.

The donuts are good. The chocolate crullers are fantastic!!!! They sell out pretty quickly, so get there early.

Oil is literally flowing out the doughnuts like bad Chinese food. I realize doughnuts are boiled in oil but some of these doughnuts are soaked in it. The cake Donuts didn't seem too bad but the Raised doughnuts fritters cinnamon rolls jelly and cream filled were all greasy beyond belief. Too bad I guess I'll have to go back to Top Pot and pay over $2 a piece for a donut.

Place is great, when they?re open?.its very hit or miss if they are open or not on weekends. My last visit there had a sign saying they?d be closed on Friday and re-open back on Saturday. Well it?s Saturday 7am (open at 5am per google) and not a soul in site. Drove a couple of minutes up the hill and got donuts from your competitor. I understand you are a small business, but you need to honor your hours and not waste peoples time. As a result, this has happened too many times to where I am no longer intere

I wanted to give my coworkers a delicious goodbye gift when I left. This store was clean and simple and the person behind the counter was nice and careful and efficient. The donuts were lovely and the box was a simple and sturdy. My friends loved them. Thanks!

The donuts are good. I got a fritter, maple bar and chocolate covered normal donut. The server was not the warmest but oh well. I will return because it's at a convenient location and the donuts were good.

Great donuts and a very creative selection compared to my other favorite donut place

This place has such great donuts, but today was the 3rd day I arrived after they should be open, and lights are off.

Great place, seems to be family run, awesome customer service.

Perfect donut stop for what we needed for our construction workers!

Always fresh and delicious. Thanks Westernco Donuts. Recommend 5 start.

I have eaten here many times but usually take out is best.

Our new go to for donuts in the area. Tons of options, especially earlier in the morning, with fresh donuts made daily. We like the bars, cake donuts, and some of the filled ones. Plus, the donuts are much cheaper than other big name brands in the area.

Donuts are delicious!

Friendly best donuts in Seattle fresh every day and you can seat down before work and injoy your morning ?? coffee ?....

Not bad, nice staff too, but holy mother sweet, especially the apple filled donuts. Bacon maple bar was good . Location and parking very easy on this Sunday morning.

Heads up! They are closed today Friday March 21 and sign says they?ll reopen March 26

Impressive! Donuts are light and soft. These are a thousand times better than stale grocery store donuts, or other shops that taste greasy and heavy. The vanilla French cruller is amazing!! I am a picky donut eater, and I have found my new place.

Nothing wrong with the shop just alot of homeless in the area

Delicious, fresh donuts. I love to grab a dozen for an impromptu work treat. Their service is polite and quick and if you stop in, you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't try the ham, cheese and jalape?o croissant.

I've probably driven by this place a million times and never tried it until yesterday! It was really good! The donuts were soft and fresh! We were there pretty late in the day about 2 hrs before close so the selection was limited but we were still able to get a mixed half dozen of really good donuts. We are definitely going back but going to try to get there a little earlier for more selection. They were out of chocolate bars by the time we got there so I got a chocolate covered cake donut instead and it hi

Our usual donut spot near here was out of donuts by noon. So we decided to try Westernco because the craving was that bad. It was a blessing in disguise. This place was yummy. Light, fluffy donuts. I ordered half dozen. I think we found a new place to get donuts. Much cheaper than Other places too.

Perfectly Balanced Donuts Await at This Renton Gem A visit to Renton isn't complete without indulging in some of the finest donuts the area has to offer. This particular spot has mastered the art of donut-making, striking the perfect balance in every bite. What sets these donuts apart is their impeccable texture?fluffy yet substantial, neither too greasy nor too dry. Each one seems to be crafted with care, ensuring a consistently delightful experience. The variety available ensures there's something for

I just randomly stopped in at 2 in the afternoon And grabbed a couple different varieties, not knowing what to expect as I have never been here before. The lady was so nice and when I tried a little bite of each kind I was pleasantly surprised!! Usually donuts are not fresh unless you come in the morning but these were fresh and very tasty. Totally worth stopping in. It is very convenient too, right off 405.

Love this neighborhood spot to treat my kids to. It reminds me so much of the donut shop when I was a kid so lots nostalgia ??

Great classic donut shop, something oddly hard to find in Seattle, especially offing jalape?o ham and cheese croissants. Luckily I have a monthly event that is a good excuse to drive down from Lynnwood.

Great Donuts, my favorite shop in Renton easily. Good customer service and good prices, delicious donuts.

You can't trust when this place will open. They don't follow a schedule. But I love the doughnuts when they are open. The ham, and cheese croissants are great as well.

This is a well run, friendly and convenient place that just happens to have absolutely amazing donuts and pastries. We're all fortunate to live in the same time as their pb&j donut. The croissants are excellent as well. Five stars, a local gem. Please stay away.

Apple fritter fresh and delicious, many grocery store came frozen and taste like day old bread ,French donut so puffy and amazing. Small donut shop with huge quality . I have to eat more frequent by next month , I ll be in Hawaii. Do you shipped your donut?

Always friendly and really amazing donuts at a reasonable price. Bringing home a half dozen is definitely one of my guilty pleasures!

The staff were pleasant enough, the store was clean, and the donuts appeared very nice. However by the time I got there around noon on a Sunday, they only had 14 donuts left in the case with no signs that they were making more. I don't understand the phenomena of a donut shop that only makes one batch for the day and then shuts down.

Omg I love this place! The crullers are to die for and the apple fritters are big, crunchy and not overwhelming with apple chunks. While the price for a dozen may be slightly over what I'd prefer I'm willing to pay, considering the cheerful ladies behind the counter and the freshness of their donuts

Stopped in for national donut day. The service was great! The ladies with patient with my indecision and were very friendly. The donuts are delicious! They are a little different from your standard donuts (in a good way). It's hard to say exactly how, but it's a nice change.

Still the best donuts in Renton! I was very sad to see that Kathy and Sam had retired but also happy to see that her niece who is the spitting image of her when she was young is working there. The prices are a little bit steep as I paid $73 for four dozen... It was the best 73 bucks I've spent in a while.

First of I was recommended by a friend to try this donut shop out. On the first time calling in to place an order. I completed my order then the lady had the nerve to accuse me of placing and order that I didn?t pick up. I was like are you sure that wasn?t me she keeps telling me it was. Just because coincidentally I ordered the same donut as the other person. Just because it happened that way don?t be blaming people for other peoples mistake. I sure ain?t even gonna give this donut shop a try. It?s a waste

Great little donut shop. Buttermilk bar comes highly recommended from my wife and I enjoyed the Raisin square (lots of raisins) and the Apple fritter (nice, big, crunchy and moist at the same time). Maple Bar was a little lacking (hence the 4 not 5 stars). Great value and a good spot right near the 405.

Great fresh homemade donuts. Really soft with real fruit and original maple. Staff is friendly and quick.

Amazing doughnuts! While stock was limited when i was here after 2PM, I'm still very pleased with the selection that was available to us. They were nice and chewy and not dry in the slightest. They were glazed excellently as well. Highly recommend!

Arrived at 11:35am on a Sunday completely sold out. Fortunately it wasn't out of the way. I'll edit my review when I get a chance to actually try the donuts. Word of caution if you plan to get here after 11:30 am on a Sunday you'll leave disappointed with nothing. I had intended on get whatever was left I wasn't going in with a set mindset for a particular donut. So if your set on a particular donut get here earlier.

My son and I love this place. We come every weekend in the early morning to greet the senior citizens who gather around the tables to share their week with friends. The donuts are delicious, truly so, and the owners are always there to greet you with a smile.

Light and fluffy plain old fashioned and plain cake. Ate both and felt great, not bogged down. The old fashioned was sweeter than the cake but just enough. The best I?ve had in a long time.

This is a small donut places that is a little more pricey. However the donuts are a major step above grocery store donuts. They have a decent selection of donuts including french ones and bacon maple bars. They have pretty fast service though there isn't much room to talk with the owner. The location is very convenient in that it is right off 405. I have picked up donuts twice from here on my way to parties. It didn't add anymore time to my drive than just the pick up. Overall it is a decent donut shop.

Westernco has the best Donuts around! Our favorites are French Cruellers, cinnamon rolls and blueberry cake donuts. They are always nice and friendly in the shop. Get there before 9am for the best selection. They sell out of our favorites Early!!

Good prices and a wide selection of delicious donuts. They do take cards now. Only down side is that their hours aren't reliable. Most days I go out of my way to swing by they are close (between 6-7am) don't know if they're sold out already or didn't decide to come in but it's real bummer.

Standard donut shop. Not cheap ($30 for a dozen and a ham and cheese croissant), but we'll made and delicious!

Went with my ex, prices are little higher than a donut shop in Tacoma, that my sister and I used to go to, but their donuts were really soft like they just made them, and pulled them out of the oven, and found out they open at 4an!! Good to know for an early morning sweet tooth, or sugar rush to push you, if you've got to be up that early!!

Good doughnuts but over priced in a run down store. Should be $6-8 a dozen. Not $20. (Update) Not any better than Safeway but twice as much. QFC has topnpot doughnuts which are better. Owners response to get a time machine to the 80s sums up the customer service and openess to customer feedback.

We've tried almost every kind of donut they have, and they're all delicious! For the best selection you need to get there early... Many things sell out early, especially the croissants. Contrary to a couple of the other reviews, they do accept credit cards with a $5 minimum.

Great delicious donuts. My experience was pleasant and the the the employees were very helpful and nice. But those donuts make me go nuts. To bad I didn?t live down here. Was only down here for a meeting and drove by it and said I gotta try them. Glad I did.

This place is literally a hidden gem in a stripmall in renton. A no-frills Cambodian-style donuts. The apple fritter is an emperor-class donut that is worth the wait & will sell out along with the other donuts, so get there before 2p! If you're around Renton (I get it, it's Renton) stop by & pick up a dozen. Not an atmosphere place so you can take them to Coulon park nearby & eat them there. Midas 5-stars - for the quality of the donuts.

Delicious, consistent, and 5 stars isn?t really enough. Every donut is amazing but their maple bars are perfection.
