Veri Best Donut Co

This place is nostalgic to many of us and my family has always been team Veri Best! Their style of donut is my personal favorite. It lands somewhere between cake and your traditional airy donuts. Its got real bite to them as well as size, these things are huge!

Some of the best donuts I've ever had! Friendly staff and quick service! Bought a dozen fresh Mardi Gras themed donuts for the Fountain City Mardi Gras parade!

Stopped to get my kids a treat after lunch. The donuts were fresh and absolutely delicious! Service was quick and friendly. We'll definitely be back next time we visit Columbus.

Ordered a glazed donut because I feel like that?s the true test of a good donut shop and WOW was I impressed. Soft and fluffy and melt in your mouth good. The best donut I?ve had maybe ever.

Good donuts. They?re on the smaller side but it?s great as one gets to taste more flavors. My husband loved the red velvet donut and the blueberry one. I like the classic yeast dough so I went for the caramel bacon and it was super delicious! Thick caramel layer and crunchy bacon?yum!

Absolutely ridiculously delicious donuts! My favorite is the red velvet and the brownie glazed! This was so good, I bought a dozen to bring home to my family. They agreed, some of the best donuts they have ever had!

This place is great. Staff is friendly. Donuts are always fresh. If you visit you have to go for the Twist. It is the best donut.

Very accommodating. They offered hot chocolate today. I asked them if they could mix some in my coffee for me & they did. There was a little bit of a line but they handled if well & in a timely manner. Even offered ordering at the second window. They had a great selection of donuts. Which was great. Will definitely be back & recommend to family & friends

Someone needs to tell the young man who waited in me that an apple fritter is NOT an Applebest. I asked specifically if they had apple fritters and he responded that they did, then he proceeded to give me 6 Applebests. I didn't see what he was putting in the box and I didn't check the box right away, so that part is my fault. Applebests are nothing at all like apple fritters and don't have anything to do with apples at all. They are fried dough rectangles that are glazed. Mine was inedible, btw.

I love to try new donut places so this was high on my list. We ordered a dozen and everyone was a fan. The bacon donut seemed to be the biggest hit (with our group as well as the shop since there were only 2 left!). All of them were hot and fresh. Seating seemed to be limited to outdoors and small tables so if you have a large party, you'll want to take your donuts with you to another spot.

Very cool concept, good donuts and I enjoyed the ease of service. Ordered glaze and a cinnamon roll. Both were great. I could see myself visiting again in the near future.

Came around 8:15 and service was pleasant and quick! Bought them for my office so I can?t speak to all of the flavors but they cleared out pretty quickly. The blueberry cake donut OMG!!!! I could eat this all day every day. The chocolate frosted cake donut was too sweet for my taste. Def not cheap since I bought some specialty donuts (~27) but happy to support a local business. I?m definitely coming back for more blueberry cake donuts!!

The best donuts in town. Krispy doesn?t even compare. The prices are good ESPECIALLY for the glazed. I also had a specialty donut that was absolutely amazing. I will be back.

I have never been to the new place. But, I have so many fond memories of the old place. My daddy use to bring me with him when he would make a donut run to the original Very Best Donunt. Set me up on the little ledge while he made his order. I absolutely loved their donuts. My favorite was the cinnamon twist. YUMMY!!! I live in Kansas now and truly nothing compares. If I ever make it back to Columbus, I'm coming in for a twist.

This is a walk-up eatery that has outdoor seating. The menu is on outdoor walls. It being my first time eating here, I tried a few doughnuts. I'm not a fan of cake doughnuts, but the blueberry flavor was good. And I like anything with coconuts. The twisted holes were better than plain doughnuts holes. It is located in Uptown Columbus. Will definitely come back for more doughnuts.

The shop is cool looking. Its a street front style set up. You order from the street, no interior seating. This can leave the shop open to the outside world to come in. Get to the location early as selection can run out as things are made daily. We visited later in the day so selection was limited. I love Veri Best. But these last few days have not been good. I went on Friday November 8, 2024 at 8am and they HAD NO GLAZE. Sold out. Went again on November 10, 2024 @ 10am and NO FILLED ANYTHING, no chocolate sprinkle, hardly any cinnamon rolls. They seem to have a problem keeping up with the demands of all the faves so hopefully they can fix that issue. I'll still support but it was a huge inconvenience.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I finally caught it open and it was so good . The lady recommended the cinnamon swirl donut and it was to die for . We have never had a bad experience here. The donuts are always fresh, never stale, great flavor and rise. They have an amazing balance of sweet and dough without being too much. They have a lot of options that change regularly. I always suggest the croissant donut or the turnover if they have it! But you can never go wrong with a giant twist and an OG glazed. Thanks for all you guys have provided Columbus since your return. We love it!!

They run out of stuff quickly, but it?s easy to see why! I?ve only been here about three times but every time I?ve been, the doughnuts are the best I?ve ever had and the employees are really nice. I highly recommend the twist and eclair!

The only things that I didn't care for was the caramel churro for I didn't taste any in it. I did in the strawberry one. The place is good when I can catch them open. I feel they close way to early, especially since we're going into cold weather. With the new hotels and the foot traffic Broadway gets, it seems as though longer hours would be beneficial. I usually don't get out until after 3pm, so if I'm wanting donuts I will usually end up at Golden Donuts.

I come here about once a week and I have about a 2 block walk . This week when I came it started to rain on me and my 3 month old twin babies on the walk there. I'm truly having mixed emotions over these donuts. My husband and I waited like 30 minutes in line, because the line was so long. We ordered at least $30 worth, and nothing was fresh. They tasted old, and dry I was so disappointed. We came back the next day, and I only ordered the blueberry cake donuts. They were great, and it was worth every penny. So far it's been hit or miss, I pray the next time we come they are fresh.

I usually get donuts on Sundays. This last time I got a raspberry filled donut. I was disappointed because it had very little raspberry in it. Not good to rush making a product that should be consistent all of the time. Maybe it's time to give these donuts a break. Plus they aren't cheap either!

Tasty Donuts I saw they'd accidently double charged me on my credit card, and called to ask them to fix it. They said to report it as fraud to my creditor and that there was nothing they could do. Pretty sketchy and irresponsible.

These doughnuts are amazing. Since re opening on July 1st. Every day they have had a line a block long. I grew up eating these doughnuts from the original location on Cusseta Rd in the early 70's so glad to have them available again in Downtown Columbus. It sucks having to keep driving downtown and not being able to get a glazed donut. This is my third time trying. I go early in the morning every time. Today the cashier said they wasn?t making any glazed donuts at all. The selections are very limited. I wish they have like some sort of online ordering system set up.

Best Eclairs I've ever eaten!

It's good but disappointed they didn't offer more glazed Donuts. Like maple but glazed. Got my wife maple but they were cake Donuts. Overall good though and a better choice than Dunkin because there is no consistency from Dunkin to Dunkin.
