Fantastic - due to unforeseen circumstances my daughter?s birthday snuck up on me. With less than one day?s notice, Vallos made a stunning and classic birthday cake. The staff was understanding and did everything they could to provide realistic options and executed it beautifully. Thanks so much! Can?t wait for our next birthday!!! Definitely recommend- all day long!

Best bakery in the Lehigh Valley. Cake = amazing. Donuts = amazing. Home style cupcakes = best cupcakes I?ve ever had.

We stopped at the Slatington Farmers Market location. The staff was very friendly and the goods were amazing. We got a peach cream cake and it might be the best cake I've ever had. It was very light, fluffy and fresh. My only complaint was the peanut butter brownie we got. It was put in the bag so the icing got stuck to the bag.

I had a wonderful experience....after the woman on the phone at Egypt Star was unfriendly, I decided to give Valos a try. I forgot the name of the girl who took my order but she was so friendly and super helpful. When I picked up my cake, Lynette helped me. She was awesome. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the decorative icing, specifically the purple was absolutely disgusting. It was sour is the best way I can describe it. The rest of the cake was slamming. The chocolate chip cookie is top tier, crunchy yet moist on the inside, and taste muahhhh delicious!!!!

Got our baby?s 1st birthday cake here. They did such a great job decorating it and it was delicious! Everyone loved it.

Update 4/16/22 *** Item taste has gotten better. Before colored cupcakes had heavy artificial taste but it's not that way now ! I always come here early on Saturdays before a holiday ,so I can get the grandkids a special treat! If you want REALLY cute seasonal cupcakes,look no further! And they are fairly priced! This place is fantastic. Bought donuts the one weekend and they were dry like they were day olds. The cake we ordered for Easter was definitely a bit over baked. The edges were actually crunchy. Frosting was good. And they say they are going to call you back about an issue and don?t. Plus some of the staff could use some people skills. If this is the kind of place you want to deal with? In addition to the delicious baked goods and breads at Vallos, the owner and one of his workers went above and beyond to help my elderly mother change her flat tire. After waiting over two hours for a service truck to come, he came out and offered her a hand. Kudos to him and his employee for sharing kindness in a much needed way!!

Always in search for fresh rolls and pastries and this place checks all the boxes for friendly staff, huge assortment of pies, donuts, breads, specialty desserts and even lobster shaped cookies! The prices are beyond fair for the freshness of their baked items. Something for everyone!

Used to go here a lot, but either it's a new baker or owner. They stopped making a lot of the products they used to. I don't want to specify what I ordered to remain anonymous, but let's just say the icing was flavorless and the filling tasted like pure sugar. Their breads, pastries, donuts are excellent. However for the first time I ordered a Birthday cake . Looked great, whipped icing good. That was a disappointment because of the dryness of the cake. Not moist at all. Maybe too hard baked or not enough wet ingredients? About half was eaten then nobody wanted more so unfortunately went into trash . Would not order cakes , will stick with other pastries.

I have been going to Vallos for their donuts since I was a kid and they're outstanding. I have started ordering their cakes over the past couple of years and they are amazing. Their decorating skills are top notch and the cakes are delicious. We won't go anywhere else!

Been in the family a very long time. Love the breads. Rolls. Donuts and cakes. They make the cutest Puppy dog cakes using 2 cupcakes with swirled creamy frosting. only $2.75 and my grandchildren love them on their birthday's.

I went in this week for crullers for the first time in a long time. We took a bite of one and before we could bite it was hard and broke apart. Very disappointed. I brag and brag to my family in Erie pa. I won't be taking them ours. I'll have to enjoy their bakery called mighty fine otherwise I'd be embarrassed. I won't go back.

We have purchased multiple cakes, cupcakes, donuts and rolls from them. The cakes are inconsistent. Sometimes they are amazing, and other times they taste dry and stale. I love that they have been around for multiple generations, and I enjoy supporting local small businesses (which is why my husband and I have continued to buy from them). Wouldn't dream of serving up some homemade soup or stew without a loaf of Valos French bread alongside. Their donuts are fiendishly delicious in their intricacies. Also always nice people behind the counter. Wouldn't be the top of Broadway without Valos!

We we're thinking donuts and Googled bakery near me. The smell of an old fashioned bakery was amazing! We purchased donuts, bread, rolls and a cupcake. Another customer was there picking up 3 huge cakes for his daughter's sweet 16 birthday. He said this is the best bakery! After sampling our goodies we 2nd that! It's a wonderful bakery and super clean! A++ rating!!!

Every neighborhood should have a real old-school bakery like this, which are becoming extinct. I dread the day we lose this one, which has remained at the top of my list for 56 years. Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme are a far cry from the perfection of Vallos. Sticky buns with nuts and raisins are superior to any others

This is a great place because of the guy who always helps me with enthusiasm which is what I look for as a customer service auditor. It's unfortunate I cannot give a 5 star review as the young lady who will avoid helping me but will help those in front of me and directly behind me as if I am invisible or is being judgemental towards me.

Live the smell when you first open the door. We get fresh rolls here all the time, hamburger, hotdog, hard rolls, the donuts are so yummy. And they make cakes for all occasions. If you haven't been here, you need to!!! It will not disappoint you.

Not worth it. They use the same papers on trays. I've watched them wipe the paper down and put it right back on the tray. Maryann donuts is way better

Overpriced. Counter staff are not friendly. Purchased a few different things. Cherry turnover. Flavorless and I bit into a cherry pit. Luckily I didnt break my tooth. Huge turn off.

Not the best around but definitely up there. They are great at being creative and bringing the designs in your head to life when it comes to their decorating. Breads are delicious and service is always superb. Prices are fair.

I had them make me number 1 cookies and had them decorated for a minnie mouse theme 1st birthday party, I was not very happy with them. The decorating of them was very sloppy but one thing they did taste good, was very disappointed and I ordered 50 of them!!

Wish I could put no stars. Highly disappointed with the cake I ordered. I was supposed to receive a quarter sheet of cake. I got a 10in round cake. I had sent in a picture of what I wanted the cake to look like it looked nothing like the picture. Phenomenal family owned business, the third generation is doing exceptional with continuing on the legacy. I'm proud to say that I'm a friend of the family. Gina (George and Elsie's daughter) have been friends with her since childhood. Just a great family.

Always friendly always fresh great prices love this place only have one complaint the parking and being on that he'll just really stinks most times I park on the side where the restaurant is but there's signs everywhere not to park there so maybe in the future I got to figure out that are parking I think you would get more business if the parking was easier

Im 7mths pregnant and i went there heard the cakes was delicious. I had to pee so bad tho i ask the female working there if i can pee sh said no i walked out. Not only that there pastry shelves are empty like bald spots Im good, If you racist u wont have to worry about me lol.

Fantastic service. The smell reminds me of my childhood bakery. I always order my daughter's Bday cakes/cupcakes from there and they always taste delicious.

This place is the BEST! I have been going here since I was a kid. My family always went there for fresh rolls, buns, danishes, donuts..etc...history with Vallos! They are the best!

Ordered wedding cookies from here very disappointed. Looked like a toddler decorated them. I had to take them because they were my party favors for the reception. When I called to complain I received the worst customer service , they do NOT put the customer first.

I live in kutztown an love to stop there for there pies. Apple pie is the best . Apples are soft an the crumb topping is so yummy.

You just can't beat a Vallos donut. Haven't had anything, (bread, rolls, cake, pastries etc.) from Vallos' that I didn't like. My first donut came from Vallos Bakery. 50+ yrs later, it's a frequent stop for myself and family.

They are never open.. I am constantly stopping by and finding them closed at 4:45 in the afternoon when they say they are open until 6pm ..There is nothing more frustrating!!
