The service was great! I bought donuts for a work group and cookies. The staff loved them. I also bought macaroons absolutely delicious! Will definitely buy again. Mixed cookies fresh and all very good, danish were fresh, moist delicious. The crumb buns are a more dense cake with less crumbs . Fresh but different taste and texture than the classic. I think they are doing a good job. Cost of baking definitely has increased. Its hard to take over a business I wish them luck and hope people give them a chanc

I?ve Never been to Vaccaro?s Bakery however I?ve had the privilege to meet Mr. Vincent at a street fair in New York around Wall street and Mr. Vinny is such a Nice Man. I remembered him from Holiday Baking Championship season 3. I?ve purchased five or six donuts and they were Delicious. Beautiful Donuts. I brought them Home to my children and they loved them. We Give the Donuts a 10/10. No complaints.

Disappointing to say the least. Just stopped in to pick up doughnuts, crumb cake, cookies, and hard rolls. The service was perfect and the place is spotless. No complaints there. The chocolate frosted dounts are large, but much more like cake than a doughnut. Dense at the top and soft at the bottom. Not what they once were. Honestly, dunkin donuts reliably do a better job. The crumb cake (powdered) has slipped worse. Looked like ordinary crumb cake in the case. I get to eating it and realize they are 90+%

One of my favorite bakeries growing up. They used to have the best jelly donuts. We would go there every weekend to buy them. They were always so heavy you needed two hands to eat them. Now they're so light you only need one hand and the filling does need and go halfway into the donut. The donut is way too soft doesn't have that nice crust underneath the powder that you could hold and enjoy. I was expecting to see a lot of Italian desserts like how it is in NYC where Italian bakeries actually provide a ton of traditional Italian desserts. Once entered the bakery you can tell they make very American pastries with little Italian options. My sister just ordered a cake for my niece's jungle themed baby sprinkle. The cake was AMAZING!!!! From the decorations to the taste. Everyone was raving about the taste. Fresh and moist and the chocolate fudge tasted like real fudge not that fake chocolate. The whole cake was not overly sweet which was also a plus. Great job Vaccaros. I would highly recommend them.

Picked up a bunch of cakes and sweets ...thought the tiramisu one wasn't to my taste the rest were amazing!!! New businesses need to take time to grow. I picked up a Tiramisu for my wife?s birthday here and was not impressed by the quality at all. Cake was basic, small, dry and bland. There were also way too many biscuits wrapped around it. For $30 I expected something amazing but it turned out to be one of the worst tiramisus I?ve had. When I ordered it they had none in stock so I didn?t get to see how disappointing they look. I feel ripped off and disappointed.

One of the best bakeries I have ever been to. Been going there for about 8 years now and their product is always outstanding. Heck, I even love their Bran muffins! If you need a cake for any occasion, this is the place to go to! Update: Still the bakery that sets the standard on quality baked goods. Not sure how I missed this place all of these years passing through Clark, but I am glad that I have found it now. The Donuts here are fantastic. They are big and filled with Jelly, Custard and any other classic you can imagine. A true Donut that is a tribute to the old school. This is the real deal.

Very upset that the cake my sister ordered from your barkery was not what she ordered. The icing was supposed to be orange flavored. It wasn?t. You totally messed up the order. It was her favorite cake.

Family owned, Vaccaro's has been servicing the area for many years. Old school bakery has great bread, rolls, cakes, pastries, cookies and pies. Worth a visit just for the wonderful smell as soon as you enter the building. Friendly helpful staff. Asset to the community.

I visit Vaccaros often and was happy they reopened. I visited on sat 12/28. After looking around a few minutes I noticed the pastries were not the same but I was willing to try the apple turnovers. There were 3 people behind the counter, none of which greeted me or asked me if they could help me. Mind you I was the only person in the store other than one lady already being rung up. Needless to say I walked out without buying anything. Sadly I do not intend on returning.

A couple weeks ago I purchased about a dozen doughnuts to serve as dessert for some friends we had over. They were delicious and generous in size. My husband even said the Boston Creme doughnut was one of the best he ever had. I can't wait to try more of their baked goods, and I'm so glad the bakery reopened.

This rating is for the new owners of Vacaros. First, I have to say I love the remodel. It is reminiscent of the old, while giving it a much needed face-lift. Additionally, the service was excellent. This is definitely NOT the same Vaccaro?s. The prices have doubled and the taste/quality have been halved. My two favorites from this bakery was their crumb buns and the jelly donuts. This new baker needs to get their old recipes. There was hardly any jelly or powder on the donut and the layer of crumbs was barely a 1/4?. Such a shame

Ordered cupcakes specifically for grad party favors boxes. Aside from not being able to do anything special (which I was like okay, no problem, I?ll buy my own sugar pearls and grad cap picks) they don?t even have a cupcake boxes to keep them separate? They crowded 12 cupcakes in a cake box so ofc all the icing got stuck together. Look at the photos. They?re all lopsided as if they were piped by a drunk person. Seriously!? What am I supposed to do with this s***t job now other than dump it in the trash.

Went there when first opened and was disappointed. Gave it another try thinking maybe they needed time to settle in. Again very disappointed. Crumb buns tasted like an Entenmans cake and the one with frosting was very sticky. The frosting remained wet and gooey. The price $2.25 per bun is unrealistic compared to other bakeries. If you have the original recipes like you say you do, maybe you should refer to them. I will not be returning.

My favorite item at maccaroni has been their jelly donuts. I've been buying them since ce they have opened. Whenever we visit friends I always bring a dozen. First time we went near the end of the night they had an attitude when we asked if they were still open. Second time, we finally tried it and it's mid at best.

Got a dozen mixed mini cannolis. 5 of my family members tried them and none finished. They tasted awful. I got 3 macarons. Hard and flavorless. $45 for 3 macarons and a dozen mini cannolis is a rip off for poor quality. Stay away from this place.

Ordered an 8? Cannoli birthday cake for my Mom who turned ?83?. It consisted of 3-layers, both vanilla & chocolate with cannoli cream in the middle of each layer AND as the ICING!!! OMG the BEST cake ever!!! The cake itself was so fresh. I have never had cannoli as the icing before and now I won?t get a cannoli cake any other way!! THANK YOU!!! Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!

Terrible experience both with the employees and the food. We wound up going later in the day and upon arriving all of the workers looked like they had experienced a bad day. Everything here has been generally disappointing. I've tried the place 4 different times, getting 3 different items among my favorite desserts. Black forest was overly sweet with no actual taste of chocolate or fruit. Linzer tart cookies were stale and hard. After almost 40 years, I am tired of the many disappointments I've had over the last 10 years. Today I stopped in to purchase a ready-made butter cream cake. It didn't meet my expectations. The cake tastes stale and the butter cream is hard like lard. I called the bakery and was told the icing gets like that when it is stored in the refrigerator. I have been going to this bakery for many years and never had a bad experience. The buttercream they use on their cakes and cupcakes are the best I?ve ever had. But as amazing as their cakes are, their donuts are by far the best donuts around. My whole family goes crazy over the chocolate frosted donuts. I?ve been going to Vaccaro?s bakery for over 30 years. Their rolls and breads are always fresh and tasty. The brownies and cakes are very well made and again, always fresh. Their breakfast items (Pecan ring!) are of a better quality than most. They also have the best Italian pastries and cookies in the area. I have never been disappointed, and neither have any of my family, friends, or guests. Everybody gets excited when they see the white box with Vaccaro?s logo, tied with white twine.

I thought the employees were nice enough, cake ordering process was efficient. Simple butter cream iced yellow cake should be delicious though and make you want another piece. This just wasn't. My wife and I try to support local businesses as much as we can. However, when we reached out to Vaccaro's to see what options they might offer that are vegan friendly, we were curtly told there were ZERO options. Really? In 2023? You can't make one type of bread or roll or something that doesn't have eggs or dairy in it? It would have been totally fine but the rudeness that we experienced when making a simple inquiry was the same as a lot of the other reviews on here. Very disappointing.

I got 2 cannolis and was excited because we don?t have good bakeries where I live and since I was visiting the area I thought I?d treat myself. Well they both just got tossed off my deck for the squirrels as they were nothing short of disgusting. They tasted like cinnamon gum and the filling was dried out gritty ricotta with more cinnamon flavor. No sweetness, no creamy texture! What a waste of $$

My family has been goin here for years. I Always get the brownies, they're the best! The cupcakes are good if u let them sit out a bit to warm up. You def get your money's worth with the donuts. Visited Vacarro?s for the first time today. Was so excited to try a bakery we hadn?t been to before and were sorely disappointed. Bought a box of pastries that were just okay, but the worst offenders were the cupcakes. Delicious cookies, good coffee, great prices. Local bakery/sweet shop with traditional goods and cakes. Service is nice. Patient with a difficult indecisive customers, including myself ;-). No place to sit down and eat the goodies or drink the coffee but I'm sure you can hang out there to sip on your coffee and check out their goodies.

All I can say is I have NEVER been more impressed with a bakery then I was for my baby shower - I went in there with an image of a fondant cake asking for it to be butter cream and I was worried it would cost me an arm and a leg - It was so reasonable and they even delivered it for us!!! Sugar in quantity does not take much skill. A few steps ahead of shoprite and several behind whole foods. I wanted to try this place so bad. I walked in and I was not greeted for about 5 minutes. The lady did not use gloves. You would think at a time like this they would use safety precautions for themselves and customers especially during the pandemic. They should not touch food with their hands. NO EXCUSES!!!!
