University Donuts

University Donuts is one of my new favorites. They open very early and have wonderful donuts. They make great burgers as well. Cozy atmosphere and really nice professional staff. They take great care of their regulars!

Best breakfast spot in Hammond! So much more than donuts. They have awesome omelets, breakfast sandwiches, and other great dishes. Our kids love it. There are food options for everyone. Great for lunch too!

With a name like University Donuts, one might be quick to dismiss them as only having tasty pastries... but that's far from the case. I have been coming to University for years. The business as a whole has gone downhill. Everything is smaller, the prices (and credit card convenience charge) have continually gone up, and you will surely ruin the suspension on your car if you don?t pay attention to the giant craters in the parking lot. The latest example is from this morning. Ordered a half-dozen specialty donuts, paid almost $10, and then I realized that two of them were regular glazed donuts. I never usually rate places, but this place was and is everything you're looking for if you're looking for a relaxing and chill experience with your family. A very special, next -level diner. Eggs were perfect, French toast had a little extra spiciness. Not busy at 1130 on a Saturday morning. A hidden Hammond gem!

Great service. The ladies were nice. It was packed in there. Not complaining about it, but I'm sure the business would love to grow into somewhere bigger(expand). This was my first visit and it was great. I got the two sausage and cheese croissants with some donut holes. I had to give one croissant to a co-worker because the first one filled me up. I heard about this from a friend that?s a regular there weekday mornings. We went there for breakfast and I wasn?t disappointed! I had their pancakes with a biscuit w/sausage gravy on the side. Great sausage gravy over biscuit! And, my pancakes were awesome, too. But, that biscuit smothered in that sausage gravy?..staff was attentive, friendly, and they matched the quality of the food they served-great! I?ll be back when I?m close in another morning!

Great party melt that I had. Great selection of breakfast foods on the menu. Lunch specials are good. It is definitely kind of an old school breakfast place. I am a happy repeat customer.

I looked at the reviews online which was great, and I wanted to try the restaurant out. I ordered two glaze donuts one sausage biscuit and a coke. My total was 7.61 I didn't think that was bad at all until I received my order. My donuts extremely small my coke was flat. I could have went to McDonald's for much cheaper. I will not be a returning customer...

The food here is always delicious and hot. I enjoy the breakfast croissant and the hashbrown casserole.

Came in to get donuts for work. There was a 10/15 minute wait because someone had just bought them out. No problem. They convinced me to get breakfast while I was waiting, oh my gosh it was delicious. On top of the great food, the service was phenomenal!!! First time there, but I will definitely be back.

Always great service. Nice experience. The dog, Buoy, likes the doughnut holes. All the food I have had is really good. The dog climbs out the window for the holes. The ladies love to feed them to him.

This place is great! I used to eat at waffle house but this place has more small town charm. The prices are good, the owners are super nice, and the food is great! This place deserves zero stars. I ordered the Banana nut bread French toast. Terrible presentation. They advertised 4 peices. I got two pieces cut in half and it didn't even look like they used a knife. It was spicy and gross. We ordered donuts the blueberry cake was hard as stone. The Bavarian cream had no filling in it. Decent prices if you don?t get a ton of add ons like cheese and substitutions. Waitress asked if we were hungover because we drank a lot of water. Saw all the good reviews, figured I'd drive thru for some donuts and a few cin-a-buns. Had to do the whole "pull up and we'll bring it to you" motion only to receive less than room temperature food. Not to mention the few employees I saw didn't look like they wanted to be there at all. Maybe I got them on a bad day, but first impressions mean everything.

The staff are great and the donuts are good but the real jewel is that they serve a great breakfast and lunch and the prices are really reasonable. The coffee is also brewed well. They close by 1:30 p.m. so give them a try if you haven't or maybe a second visit if it's been awhile. I would guess that this started out as a donut shop and later added the cafe style diner simply because the name, "University Donuts" implies it, but I am glad they are here. I order donut holes. They were fresh and enjoyable. I was excited to hear that they have true New Orleans style Eclaires. Meaning filled w/chocolate instead of vanilla. I'll be getting those next time I visit.

I've only ever ordered from them through waitr, so I can't speak for their in-restaurant service as I have never been there, however the food is always good when we order it and the few times I've had to call to either compliment something or request a replacement or refund for something missing, the staff was always beyond helpful and kind.

only thing ive ever gotten(talking about first time includingng) today ever period at this place was my order taken.... waited for close to an hr the cashier was outside flirting with an (girl) trying to reach the manager owner now the phone won't pick up.... drive through steady running fast parking lot steady becoming even mre empty

First experience: Closed earlier than 1:30 (which is the time indicated online as their closing time on a friday) We arrived there before 1pm. Manager (sitting outside, store locked up and lights off) told us we should've come earlier if we wanted something. Yet to decide if we want to go back to try anything due to rude behavior.

University Donuts is awesome. The wait staff are incredible and they know my grandmothers name and always bring her lots of coffee. :) I love this place. I always go when I'm in town.

Bought a dozen donuts at 11am and they were terrible. FIRST of all there was so little sugar on the glazed that they looked like day old donuts from Walmart.
