Uncle Benny's Donut & Bagel

So delicious I fully forgot to take a picture before digging in. The donuts and bagels were incredibly fresh and nicely toasted without being burnt. As you can see they put a decent amount of meat on your order. We came in around 9:30am and experienced no line but as time went on around 10am it began to get very busy. It?s a really nice place to stop by and get something to go or sit down if tables permit. Would highly recommend.

Used to be my favorite local spot but it's kind of fallen off. The operations seem overloaded relative to the amount of delivery business they're getting so service has slowed while prices have increased considerably. Last time, I had to remind them to make both of the sandwiches I ordered because they tried to send me away with only 1 and then didn't apologize for the error. Also it took 25 minutes. So as a "pop in an grab quick takeout" place it's really lost it's luster for me, sadly

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Botanical Gardens. The bagels were amazingly fresh and they threw in a free donut as well, which was also delicious. Definitely worth the short walk from the park!

Ok breakfast sandwiches, didn?t love the bacon it was a bit too dry, on the bacon sausage and cheese. It really suffered from not having egg. The lox and cream cheese bagel was a bit pricier, but much better. They also have pretty good donuts. The listed price for a half dozen is tough to hit as you can only get the simplest donuts.

This place is good they open very early for those who like catch the sunrise. It looks clean and there are many tables inside but I feel that most people that come here just take it to go.They have some drinks like coffee and smoothies which I thought were pretty decent (although they don't have milk alternatives) For the bagels and donuts they have many options and they're all yummy. Fast/friendly service and fair price.

Another neighborhood favorite for a reason. Probably one of the best Donut shops in the sunset district. They open super early and are open pretty much late in the afternoon/evening. Ladies over the counter are super friendly. Haven?t tried their Bagels yet but their donuts and sandwiches are real treat.

Cult classic outer sunset establishment. The haters simply don't understand how quintessentially perfect the bagel with sprouts combo is. Reasonable prices and friendly staff. Awesome hours! The restaurant is always lovingly decorated according to the seasons and holidays. The music they play here is questionable but I'm not one to judge. Maybe bring headphones if you plan on sitting here for an extended period of time.

Open at 4am for my late night cravings and they gave me a free donut. I love you guys. The sandwiches are solid and they have huge portions. The smoothies aren?t too sweet and are so refreshing. Edit: THE DONUT IS CRISPY The salmon cream cheese bagel is so good. The best bahn mi I?ve had in the area. Generous amount of varying meats and pickled radish. Cinnamon roll is huge and crispy. The best bagel and donut shop ever! Fast service, amazing variety of bagels, donuts, juices and other drinks! Everything is delicious, price is right and the staff is super sweet. They even gave me a sticker! Their BLT on a pesto bagel is to die for!!! Orange carrot juice is so perfect and refreshing!!! Raspberry jam filled donut is fluffy and perfect!! I LOVE Uncle Benny's! Drove 40 minutes to buy bagels and donuts from Uncle Benny's. There are varieties of bagels and donuts to choose; all looks very attractive and taste delicious. A group of consumers eating inside speak familiar HK dialects. The service is quite good with some small donuts free of charge.

we had a lovely time here and i?m still dreaming of this bagel we got. the pesto bagel with chive cream cheese. it was perfectly crisp on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. also the donuts were the bee?s knees. great coffee. local newspapers. GO HERE for a great time

The place is very serene and the donuts are huge and delicious. The employees are very friendly. I hope I will return one day again. I would recommend coming here to enjoy their drinks and donuts in a serene place.

I'm here every Friday morning for coffee and a donut - a treat for myself I developed a habit for during COVID. Their donuts are mostly traditional flavors and that's what I want - I'm not into all the wild new approaches to donuts. I'll take a twisted chocolate donut or a chocolate old-fashioned every time! Service is always warm with a smile. They know my order the moment I walk in the door.

In my opinion, Uncle Benny's has the best apple fritter in the area. Deep fried, icing covered and delicious. Not a big fan of the fluffy, coffee cake type that some places serve. Just my opinion.

This place has such fast, kind, and amazing service. The food is great too. I got number 1 and 16 on pesto bagels and the pesto bagel is so flavorful. Another thing I love is how they don't skimp on the egg at all. Which is one of my favorite parts of breakfast sandwiches. Donuts and tropical freeze smoothies were pretty standard.

When you enter Uncle Benny?s, you get greeted by one of the ladies with familiarity. If it?s your first time, you?ll feel you have been there before. Very polite and happy. They?ll temporarily make you forget whatever problem you are having. If that doesn?t help, let the soft EDM and club lights on the ceiling relax you. Highly recommend the tiger chocolate walnut twist! It?s the best donut I?ve ever had in the outer sunset area so far. They have a tremendous variety of donuts and bagels, there?s always something for everyone. Staffs are very courteous & friendly and there are lots of cute decorations in the cafe.

Loved the atmosphere here. Lots of locals were here getting their breakfast and morning chats in. The staff was friendly and food was fast. They have a lot of seating available. Donuts were delicious.

Depending on your job or lifestyle, Uncle Benny's is either the only place open on your way to work in the morning, or the only place open on your way home late at night. Although they have a massive selection of donuts and pastries, I usually just get a maple custard bar (my favorite). The only thing better than the donuts is the customer service?the lady who works early mornings is an absolute delight, always bright and friendly (even at 4am!).

This place is the best! You guys rock! Always happy when I come here to visit my friend. I live in Utah and we don't have anything like this, the food and service are great!

Bagel sandwiches were one of the best Ive had in the city. We got the Avocado and cheese sandwich with the Jalapeno cream cheese and Jalapeno Cheese bagel. Highly recommend. The service was amazing too, the folks at the counter were very sweet and polite. They gave us a Matcha Donut even though we hadn?t ordered it and it was absolutely delicious. Soft and perfect amount of sweet. Will definitely be coming back.

So I was a bit wary about a vegetarian bagel sandwich costing over $10 since i normally have some meat to my meals, but i figured if i can be satisfied on the #15, in all likelihood this place is gonna be a winner. I will say that they put in the right proportion of veg to cream cheese to bagel. Super fresh. Crispy, crunchy, honestly yummy. This is my first visit and for sure i am adding this to my collection of go-to's.

Truly my favorite donut shop I've been to. Everyone is super nice and kind. Although we all have masks on I can just feel their smile in the way they treat people. Super fast service and delicious food. The hazelnut coffee is the best I've ever had. I live in the east bay and whenever I have an early morning in the city I make sure to stop by here.

A great place to get donuts or bagels in the morning. Service is good and also quick. Parking can be tricky depending on the time of day. Location is great. Very walkable location which can be important if you?re in that part of town when parking is scarce.

Uncle Bennys has THE BEST breakfast sandwiches, donuts, lox (and so much more). Somehow, the egg in the bacon egg and cheese is fluffy and light (not greasy at all) but very flavorful. The bacon has perfect thickness and crispiness and the bagel is excellent. The donuts are out of this world. Better than Bob?s in my opinion! The lox bagel has buttery fresh lox and crispy veggies to balance it out, Thank you to the Uncle Benny?s team for delivering to Pac Heights!!! Your food is amazing!

Best Iced Vietnamese coffee in SF! I'm not sure what kind of coffee they are using, but it's so nutty and delicious. Donuts were fresh, warm with just the right amount of sweet. The bagel sandwich was ok, my only criticism is that I like my bagel extra toasted, I should have mentioned that when I ordered. Bagel came very lightly toasted.

The coffee I ordered tasted terrible, like the machine hasn't been cleaned in years and is filled with burnt coffee grounds. They were very nice about giving me a new one from a different machine, but that one tasted just as bad. I've had better coffee at gas stations in the middle of nowhere; I didn't expect to see such poor quality in San Francisco.

No frills place to get a Thai ice team (what I get) some donuts or many many variations of bagels. I tend to get the #12, it's a pretty hefty bagel, so I hope you're hungry or split it with someone. Service is always quick and friendly. Their donuts are good too. ??

I've been coming to Uncle Benny's for years. Best donuts in SF, hands down. Old school, non-hipster, great family service. If you are visiting SF, do yourself a favor and grab some donuts.

Delicious sandwiches with fresh ingredients, and the blueberry smoothie was excellent! My husband and I agreed that the donuts were more enjoyable than a recent visit to a "high end donut shop" - they keep it simple but just do it so well. Don't re-invent the wheel, just deliver excellent products, which is what we experienced here.

Great mom and pop establishment. Donuts are fresh tasting and the bagel selection is good. Sandwiches are full of meat and are complemented well with a variety of fresh veggies. A varied selection of roasts and beans of coffee will wake you up in the morning.

A really cozy caf? with a hospitable atmosphere and a great sense of community. The prices are affordable while the portions are generous, with a large expanded menu and fun self-serve drink stations. While I was there I saw a lot of strangers talking to each other and sharing rapport, giving the place a wonderful environment.

This place was our "we're too lazy to make breakfast, let's pick up a bagel and a donut at Uncle Benny's" type of place. Their bagels are delicious (try 28 or 29!) and the apple fritters are heavenly. The staff is very kind and friendly, we even got a free donut on our last visit when we told them we were moving out of the city. We'll miss you, Uncle Benny's!

Probably the coolest and most fun donut shop in SF. Yeah, its mostly Asian patrons but it's in an Asian neighborhood. Remember that it's a donut shop not a Chinese bakery.

I love this place, it's the perfect place to pop in for a quick breakfast item. However lately their service and quality have been slipping. Then this morning they literally nearly killed my roommate. He is extremely allergic to tree nuts, and they had cross contamination with their chicken where we found almond slivers in his sandwich that he gets every Sunday. Thy need to slow down, focus on getting orders right, and keep their food areas clean and safe.

Delicious chicken sandwich on a perfect flakey croissant. Busy place, extremely clean, donut display were picture perfect! Good prices, helpful staff. Have recommended to friends. Will gladly visit again.

Absolutely the BEST sandwiches in the hood. Noisy Chinese coffee-donut place. Beautiful fast efficient young women behind the counter. Try one of their Giant 10 inch Apple fritters! Homer Simpson would be in heaven. LOVE IT!!!

Love this place! Great coffee! Great donuts! Fast Service! You can walk out with an iced coffee and a huge sandwich for around 11$. not bad. Great place to chill and work from your computer or read a book..Big thanks to the ladies behind the counter for such great service!
