Small place, but definitely worth it donuts for fresh and delicious. Coffee was well made had a mocha. Very friendly helpful staff
Yummmm ?? ?? Fresh, Great Tasting Donuts with fun flavors. I Hella Enjoyed The PINEAPPLE Friter, Ooooweee, I was in the car heading back to The City doing the " Happy Dance" and smacking my lips...lol. I Also Enjoyed The cinnamon roll donut, I mean every one we tried was delicious?? ??
Really good donuts. Always fresh and delicious, love their texture. I always get the "Abuelita", it's delicious. But the regular glazed is good also. The coffee is good in a pinch, the cappuccino is decent. I have not tried the Mexican latte yet, which I've been told is good.
I had the special donut for Mother?s Day (lavender icing with guava filling) and my friend had the horchata. Mine was good but I wish I?d ordered the horchata after trying his! Super soft dough. Perfect donuts.
I love the selection of flavors, but I always pick up an OG glazed! The donuts are always soft and fresh. Definitely recommend. :)
We came all the way from Houston, Texas to visit Trejo?s Coffee & Donuts Shop. Thank you Andres for being so friendly, courteous & attentive. We definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants to eat delicious donuts & coffee.
Trejos Coffee and Donuts is a gem in the Hollywood area. Every time we go we are greeted by the friendliest people who care about your experience. We've been offered free donuts, samples, a few extra donut holes in a bag every time we go. The donuts are great unique options you won't find at a generic chain, and the donut holes are so addicting I don't get them anymore because I can't stop myself otherwise. The coffees are equally unique with flavor options you can't find elsewhere, my favorite being the
Run!! do not walk to get these donuts, if they don't have a flavor you like then you clearly have no taste.
No trip to LA isn?t complete without a visit to Trejo?s! Some top notch donuts with great flavors. Get a variety and enjoy them all!
I highly recommend the coconut doughnut with a 16oz vanilla latte! Great way to start the day. The doughnut bread is so light and fluffy. The topping is not too sweet. The place is pumping great music and the staff are so friendly. Lots of parking. Go get one!
Glazed, Abuelita (dark chocolate crumble), Margarita (lime glaze and salt) donuts - 5 ??! I often travel down Santa Monica Blvd and have seen the distinct Trejo's Coffee & Donuts plenty of times. I enjoy seeing the colorful corner location. I love donuts of all kinds and wanted to try them out. The three donuts I sampled were all great. The donuts are a perfect size. The dough was nice and chewy. The flavor combos were creative and tasty. Everything was fresh. Overall, this place hit the spot for what I l
Given the name associated with this place, I definitely expected good coffee and donuts, and they absolutely were, but the customer service was even better. I wish I had caught the staff's names so I could properly shout them out. They were kind, welcoming, exceedingly professional, and 100% made what could have been an average experience at a tourist trap donut place relying on a celebrity name, into a great start to my morning and my trip to LA. I highly recommend stopping in.
Pluses here for creativity and very strong coffee. I am not a 'donut' fan since unlike Homer Simpson, I would prefer a tasty brownie or a toasted bagel with my coffee. The coffee was fine but if I just wanted straight, strong coffee, I would have stayed home. This is also on the pricy side, for what it was. My friends, who even like hard candy, enjoyed their donuts. I don't go anywhere to eat with this crowd, they are my movie going and dog walking (not dining out) buds!
Had to get the Horchata donut. thing was a dessert but frosting was so good. Also chocolate donut is really good. A lil pricey but worth the try!
Small place, big taste. We loved the Mexican matcha latte with the cayenne and ginger. We ordered 7 donuts. He likes the pineapple fritter. I likes the mangonada donut and the horchata donut. Shopping center has its own small parking lot
I came here today to get two donuts and the service was quick as the coffee shop wasn?t as busy. It is a small location though overall the donuts I got were pretty good. I got the margarita and the machete Maple out, and I was pleasantly surprised about the margarita as it had lime and lemon in the frosting. Would recommend if you?re visiting Hollywood for the first time. I?m sure this other donut shots are better, but but not bad for a celebrity sponsored donut shop.
These donuts are really really good! The OG glazed are big, fluffy, and fresh! There a variety of unique flavors to choose from. The prices are very affordable. The staff are chill and the store is kept clean!
Solid donuts the best I?ve ever had. They?re soft, chewy and fresh. OG is definitely a must. Margarita was my most favorite since they use fresh lime zest. Super well balanced and not too sweet. Donuts range from $3-$4/donut but really well worth the money. Coffee was delicious also.
Staff is awesome along with the doughnuts great little spot to visit
What a great little coffee shop, full of fun flavors, cool decor and Danny Trejo merchandise. Understand the donuts here are not a gimmick, they are totally unique and crazy delicious, like really good. The coffee is fresh and hot and the lemonade was good.
If you love donuts, come here. I don't like donuts and I LOVE THIS PLACE. The coffee is astounding and I feel like one sip changed my life. I wish I was joking, but it's that delicious. The donut dough is pleasantly fluffy without being too cakey, and the frosting in every flavor feels personally and lovingly made. Outside, the security guard was chill af and made sure we went in the best entrance with a big smile. Tens, tens, tens.
Cute little brightly painted donut shop on a busy corner in Hollywood. All the donuts and fritters have unique flavors and clever names. I had the Abuelita chocolate and my sister had the O.G. Glaze. Both were nice sweet soft and chewy. The staff here are kind and friendly and there?s plenty of Danny Trejo merch ??
The location is small, sits in the corner of street. Parking is for compact cars. There is a good assortment of donuts. They are a bit pricy but were really good and freshly made. I liked "Abuelita" the best. Dark chocolate frosting. They also sell Trejo coffee and other items such as books and shirts. The customers were coming in non stop while we enjoyed.
Large scrumptious donuts. Loved that they have vegan options, as my daughter is vegan. Choices were limited but still darn good. The only mushier had was the large coffee order had a deceiving that leaked , causing coffee to spill on the lap. At a busy intersection. I would visit again to try more options although this day we purchased a dozen ?choice? box. So pretty much tried most available options.
I finally was able to buy donuts from here!! My husband and I have been trying to try Trejo?s donuts for a while. I always pass by but never gotten around to it. The one day that we went during their business hours, they ran out of donuts. But the guy explained to me that they're short-staffed, and it's been rough. So he gave us free donut cards to come back. So I finally went this morning. I got one of each donut and a tattoo iced coffee. The shop is bright pink easy to spot while driving. Parking was easy
I did a carry out order, for my first time ever at Trejo?s and got a half dozen for my partner and I to split. Line was about 5 people long when I first walked up. But it moved fast and less than 10 mins later I was ordering. We tried: cinnamon crumb, O.G., abuelita, raspberry & lime zest. They were all fine. And will do the trick if you?re in the area and absolutely craving donuts. But we both thought the dark chocolate was a bit too dark and bitter to ever get again, the O.G. wasn?t as good as glazed donu
The donuts were sooo good! Also the horchata was amazing I?m from Chicago and can?t wait to go back. My sister got the coffee and matcha from there and wasn?t a big fan but everything else was amazing. Can?t wait to go back to Cali and go back for some more!
Location is great right on a corner. The employees are cool. The donut names are unique. (Like abuelita, quincea?era). What is sad is a lot if false advertising. What has happened is that the menu has been updated but not all the outside windows. The happen to advertise what looks like cone filled with ice cream or cream. That is not an option. Also they advertise breakfast burritos. And since it was early that would hit the spot. But when asking about it, one of the employees let me know that they don?t m
Great tasting donuts ??. Visiting from Houston, Texas, and we had to try it. We've already tried Trejo's Tacos ?? and those were good too.
Pink building, hard to miss at the corner of Highland and Santa Monica in Hollywood, small parking on site. The staff is friendly, the donuts are good, they have vegan options. Large selection, different flavors are available as per their menu, cake and fried, most have funny slang Hispanic names, flavors and toppings are inventive even offering a couple of savory options with cheese and jalape?o which I tried and was not bad, the black velvet was very tasty.
Fantastic light and fluffy donuts with an incredible amount of flavor. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Simply an amazing time. We were told the two times we went we had beaten the rush. Would have loved to congratulate Mr. Trejo for yet another notch on his belt of successes. Get the Three Amigos! Cannot wait for them to unleash "Machete" donuts! There are a couple of parking spaces there, but the other stores in the area are incredibly territorial and watch were you go so please park behind
This is a great spot. The person helping us was a wonderful and friendly and explaied the flavors we had questuons about. The doughnuts were very pretty and had a great taste. They sell coffee there and I hope to try it next time becuase it smelled amazing.
Chewy yet fluffy & light donuts that were super delicious with great flavors. Would consider this as the best donut shop in LA - MUCH better than Sidecar. Went on a Thursday morning at ~8:30am and bought the Abuelita, the OG, and the Lowrider. Also the Mexican Latte. All the stuffed donuts were sold out and Abuelita & OG were almost sold out. Would get the Abuelita again in a heartbeat. The OG was okay. The Mexican Latte was REALLY good - with a good amount of cinnamon, not too scalding hot, and great espre
The vegan donuts at Trejo?s are fresh, not too sweet & tasty. You might as well get a box- I bought 3 and could?ve eaten more. My favorite is the Coco Loco and new Margarita- very creative!
Not a huge fan of vegan food but the doughnuts were so amazing . I'd go back again every day. The horchata latte was fantastic.
Incredibly good coffee and doughnuts. This isn't just some tourist trap but a legitimately good place to stop in. They have a wide range of flavors and vegan options available. Also a lot of interesting coffees.Try the Chagaccino on ice.
Awesome experience, we choose 6 different donuts, they were all great. I would of been nice to see Danny, my brother in law was able to meet him at a church in Lockhart and Danny gave him some good advice. We came all the way from Texas, I'm glad we found out about this Donut shop, we all loved it.
The service is good, but six donut holes for four dollars is beyond me. Definetly not for your average local, cost me 17 dollars for three donuts and six donut holes.
They have a good range of donuts, some of which are vegan, and they taste fresh and delicious. The staff member that helped us was very nice and friendly. I would absolutely recommend visiting here if you're in the area.
We drove a VERY long way to get some of Mr Trejo's donuts and coffee and were not disappointed. Fruity Pebbles on a donut is magic! Coffee is delish and the service we got from Brooklyn B was top notch!
All the Donuts were a bit much(kinda sugary, but duh it's a donut!) but tasty. Now the vegan donuts on the other hand are the stars! Each one I tried was delicious. Small space but staff is helpful and fast.
I know I saw his post on TikTok so I had to come out and check it out and the donuts did not disappoint. Even his water was delicious so yes five stars customer service was nice place is OK.
It's small but gives a bang! Merchandise and pink everywhere. Good amount t of options and flavor of donuts to choose from. It was my first time here so had to grab a box to go. Well worth it. Organized and clean. Glad I went. Good experience overall.
I saw the pink buildings around LA, and since this one was walking distance from our air bnb we had to stop by! The coffee was really good and my girlfriend and I picked out a diverse assortment of donut flavors and they were all great! Love the idea and premise of the coffee shop! Hope they open a location in San Diego!
The bright pink paint job makes this place instantly recognizable, and the donuts are absolutely delicious. Regrettably, I don't remember the whole half dozen we got (I know that abuelita, dulce de leche, and horchata, though. Possibly also a mojito one or something similar?), but they were all fantastic. Line was short, and service friendly and efficient.
Best donuts I?ve ever had, not too sugary and really tasty and unique, coming in at $3 a donut for half a dozen it?s totally worth it. Must do in L.A.
As a donut lover I can testify Trejo?s donuts are fresh, creative, and just plain good. I got the Horchata donut and it was amazing. The donut was fresh baked and the filling was sweet - but not overly so (I?m not into super sweet anything). Creamy, chewy, and a bit gooey. You really need to try one soon :) My daughter has some allergies and loves Trejos because of their vegan selection (the bottom row in the display cabinet). Friendly staff. Coffee and other beverages also available. Free parking in the lo
Nice little place for some nice food, my burrito was delicious! The service was fast and the decor was cool.
I?m from the East Coast where we know our donuts. This place makes good ones. Really fluffy donuts. And it?s owned by Johnny 23, so that?s sweet. Pun intended.
Very pretty looking donuts! Flavors are fun but quality is lacking. Donuts tasted old and have an odd taste. Like old oil. The fruity pebbles on the donut were also stale. Not what I was expecting at all especially for the price. We love Danny but we?re so disappointed!
They have a good selection of vegan and regular donuts. Loved the low rider. This location is on the corner and may be easily missed if you cut through the parking lot.
Worth drive from San Diego! Cashier was really kind. I'm afraid I didn't get her name but she had blond hair. We went on Jan 9th. Always have great experience
Wow, these are some of the best donuts in LA! I love their OG, it is SO GOOD! Something about the dough itself in these donuts is delicious. I've never had donuts quite like this. The Da Berry Bomb is really good and has a fresh fruit filling taste. For the Quincenera donut, you can really get the fruity pebble flavor. I love the rainbow frosted donut too. I highly recommend this place for donuts! Friendly service as well!
These donuts are so delicious they are very soft and so yummy highly recommend there?s not always parking here because there are lots of other restaurants and stores that share that parking area
Really limited selection, kind of disappointed we went on a Friday at 9am. But the donuts we got: cinnamon sugar, Abuelitas, and maple bacon were pretty good. The maple bacon wasn't crispy as I'm used to, so wasn't a fave, but that abuelitas is really good. The Mexican Latte was really good too, has almond milk and cinnamon. Pretty small shop just wish there was more selection.
Me and my boyfriend surprised my friend with these doughnuts. It was very close walking distance, so we went on to try it out. Its a pink building with Danny Trejo faces plastered around the walls, so it's an easy place to spot. It wasn't as busy as some reviews said it would be, but then again it was Sunday, so people wanna sleep in. As soon as you walk in, the doughnuts and menu are on your right. They have Horchata sweetned with dates and espresso drinks. Doughnuts look amazing! We were disappointed to
This donut shop is in the corner of where I live. It's walking distance so I decided to give it a try. I was shocked to see they are only open for a few hours. They close at 4 pm everyday! Very shocking. We came on a Friday and they had a happy hour 50% off donuts so it was perfect. Since the donuts are about 2.75 each. So I got to try a donut for a dollar and some for almost 2$ but still better than regular price. It was about 330 when we came in. The store is pretty small so you walk in and the donuts
LET ME TELL YOUUUU! these donuts *chefs kiss*, the donuts were soo light and airy. They were so soft and the toppings were so good. Now I know why they had a line out the door,, Highly recommend!
Not a good day. Arrived and they only had 2 donuts sugar and lemon poppy. Apparently sold out... but if you sell them and you run out... maybe make more...? Anyway still bought them but lemon tasted dry and sugar was gooey. Also got donut holes that tasted dayold. Wanted horchata but they also ran out so got the Mocha but lady did not even mix it. The chocolate was on bottom and no whip cream and no flavor. Mocha tasted like watered down coffee and Hershey's syrup. Today I was not treated right by Trejo's C
Loved seeing this building that was featured in the movie ?Tangerine?. We really loved the donuts! Definitely recommend trying the OG Vegan that was our favorite! Great customer service as well and we will definitely be back again!
Really good, flavorful donuts. Nice and soft with good flavor but not overly sweet. The breakfast burritos are also pretty good and filling.
Delicious doughnuts and wonderful, knowledgeable staff! Thoroughly enjoyed the machete matcha latte with mangonada doughnut, both with a spicy twist ???
Breakfast burritos were so good!
This place is absolutely amazing... Packaging is environment friendly and the doughnuts are incredible. came here from Vancouver island Canada. And recommend visiting here to everyone. Staff super friendly too.
The coffee here is really good :) They also have espresso, tea, and flavor like Hazelnut and Vanilla for the coffee. The doughnuts here are all really fresh, and delicious. We bought the Tres Leches, Pineapple Cinnamon Fritter, and the Vegan Peanut butter. The Pineapple Fritter was by far my favorite, but the Tres Leches comes in close second. It was very original, and really good. The vegan peanut butter was really tasty for a vegan doughnut. This place is definitely worth the stop.
We really enjoyed the savory Nacho donut. It's a nice break between the sweet. I don't think it would be the worst idea for them to add another savory and experiment with flavor profiles.
Never disappoints! I make sure to take friends that are visiting to this place! I love that they have vegan options and a fun variety but the taste is still simple and flavorful. The abuelita is one of my favorites
Trejos donuts is probably my favorite of the Trejo chain - the donuts are ACTUALLY good, especially the MARGARITA -flavored one. They are *slightly* overpriced, but it's also LA. The design of everything is SPECTACULAR - they really know how to package and the logo is well integrated. They also take Covid precautions pretty seriously and have a good system in place. I'm dinging them on the coffee though - it's really horrible and needs to be reevaluated, especially the Nitro cans. My verdict: stay for the
Worst donuts all around Hollywood!!! Prices are high for the small crumbs you get. Forget about coffee tastes like sink water. I deliver all over LA to the shores of the pacific. I tried many donuts shops and this is the second worse all around. No worth spending a penny here.
The coffee was pretty good but I was honestly not wowed by the El Diablo donut. It was a little dry. I probably would have enjoyed the Abuelita more (dark chocolate raised donut). Service was acceptable and the employees very upbeat, even if it was a little slow and mismanaged (took them 5 minutes to get me two coffees and 1 donut, serving people behind me in line first). I might come back and give them a second shot if I'm in the area but not going to go out of my way.
I was at some screenings at the Directors Guild on Friday 11/29/2024 and they were serving coffee, hot chocolate and Trejo's Donuts. When I tell you those are the best tasting donuts, believe me. I had a chocolate one and regular glazed one...both were large, delicious, not too sweet, just right, and moist. These donuts will put Krispy Kreme Donuts to shame. Some donuts taste stale when they shouldn't, others are dry and/or way too sweet. Not Trejo's donuts...chef's kiss.
The OG donut was definitely the best. The margaritas one was a bit too sour for my liking. The cinnamon one was really good too. One of the best vegan donuts I?ve had. Light and fluffy. Coffee drinks were also super tasty.
Ultra gratitude for brighten my day after Chipotle and Security Guard denied entry to Sunset and Vine Location and security used obsessive force for no reason. The staff was ultra beautiful and welcomed me with open hearts and arms
Love Danny Trejo and now I love his doughnuts. Perfect amount of frosting to cake, light, fluffy, and delicious. They have amazing coffee too!! We asked the staff for help deciding what to get and they recommended the Abilita which was AMAZING. Can?t wait to try more flavors.
We happened to drive by this during our visit in L.A. and we are so glad we did! Cinnamon was good. The Abuelita was great! And the tres leches is to die for! We now have another food spot to go to every time we go down here.
I just tried to eat their &4 plus tax vegan berry donut and it is easily the worst donut or actual food I have eaten in years. I ate 2 bites and had to stop. Left it on the counter for the rats. Pretty bad Hose.
Pricey, but tasty. Heard about this place and made the trek to check it out. We got there just before 10 am and they only had about 10 flavors available, but what we chose we really liked. Flavors were really good and the donut was decent sized and not as heavy as some of the average donut shop donuts. Not quite as airy as a Krispy kreme, but similar. We chose abuelita, margarita, and cumpleaonos. While they were all good, I am here wishing I had a margarita donut right now...so good! Will be back wh
Amazing doughnuts, the pineapple fritters are the bomb. The horchata is amazing. Great, fresh products and friendly staff.
Not the absolute "best" donuts in LA, but still pretty good. Out of the few I tried, the pineapple fritter was the absolute best! Definitely worth the stop. I also enjoyed the vegan horchata. This is in a small shopping plaza and there is free parking around the building.
Really tasty donuts, but of the Abuelita, cafe con Leche, Maple Pig, and peanut butter, they started to taste pretty similar when eating all four. Will definitely try more flavors next time around.
Great place with vegan options. Wasn?t sure what to get so got the staff pick. The staff pick allowed us to try practically all the donuts. Not one donut disappointed. Would recommend this place and I?d go back. Staff told me that Danny does do appearances too, so you might be surprised!
We got here close to closing and unfortunately they were out of almost everything. I got the coco loco donut which was fresh and fluffy. Husband got the cumpleabos donut which was way too sweet. There is Danny Trejo merch here for sale.
They had interesting choices of donuts. I chose a coconut donut and a cup of coffee. The coffee is really good too. It is not the best place if you want to seat down to enjoy it; they did not have any seats and there was a long line in a very small room.
I love the taste!!!, I love thats it's possible to buy vegan donuts, the only thing that could be better is to find there also sugar-free donuts ?? we made bday "cake" of them lol p.s. thank you for sugar-free vegan chaga-chino ??
The donuts here are amazing! I took one bite if the horchata and I was in heaven. The abuelita chocolate was delicious too. The coffee was equally delicious. We went two times during our stay in LA. Both times there was plenty of parking. The first time there was no wait to order (went around 11am). The second time there were a few people ahead of us but it moved quickly. Will definitely make this a stop the next time i am in LA.
If you're not a transplant, this place isn't going to work out for you. Atmosphere isn't inviting or welcoming. The donuts are nasty. I only bought two to just try them out. I wished I would've just kept my money. The employees seem like they literally hate being there. With today's inflation, they should be thankful that people even go. Personally, I'll take my money elsewhere.
I'm a big fan of donuts and Danny Trejo. Real good donuts. I wanted to try the Trejo Coneado. Churro shaped into a cone. Chocolate inside filled with ice cream
