All the frosting is off of the donut because they wrapped it up and shoved it in a bag. I ordered 5 donuts they should put them in a box not in multiple bags so they get all squished. Went here instead of the head of Westport country store, there's less variety here at town donuts but the glazed donuts are good. Cheaper too.
The young women who served me was amazing. Today was my first day here and im satisfied! Donuts are delicious and people are friendy.

I've been going here for donuts since before I can remember. My parents always took us here when I was a kid and now I take my kids here as well. Their donuts are always made fresh. My favorite is the chocolate frosted twist and the glazed. The place really hasn't changed much in over 40 years. If you're looking for new age look like Starbucks this is not the place but if you're looking for a hometown donut shop that's pretty authentic... you have found the spot.
This has been my go to home town donut shop my whole life. Filled with kind people selling fresh donuts made in the morning. Their honey dip/glazed donut is the standard all others should be compared to. The donuts sell out so call large orders in ahead of time. They also sell an assortment of other breakfast items, all at very good prices.
The doughnuts are very good. The man who served us was unfriendly. The place smelled like a dirty, wet , raincoat.
Best donuts in the area for 30 miles, hands down! The owner is a great guy, very kind & accommodating. The donuts themselves are perfect, light dough & hand crafted deliciousness, their ?honey dip? donut is the regular glaze that will prove it?s superior. My favorites are the chocolate frosted with coconut or maple bacon. HIGHLY recommend the maple bacon, the frosting is always perfect, not too little & not too much, but the bacon is made fresh and perfectly paired with the maple. It?s a small town homemade
Sorry I decided to go. It was miserable experience.they might want to invest in air conditioning. And....Serving someone black toast and under cooked eggs . Hmm I could make toast when I was 4.The food was meh at best!
Donuts are amazing but do not expect happy and positive service. If you are a longtime customer you know that. One time I parked and was blocking the drive thru. There really was not great signage and the cook hung out the window and yelled ?don?t block my drive thru!? I still continue to do business with them because the donuts are that good! Cash only!

In a world of corporate food businesses, and flashy flavors, this place is a breath of fresh air. Simple, delicious, homemade breakfast foods. They have BIG, yummy, fresh donuts, to-die-for coffee rolls and craveable breakfast sandwiches. If you want authentic, come here. And prices are the same as that pink and orange place ??, so why not get fresh food? Still looks the same from when I was a child. Love this place.
This is simply the best Donut Shop in the area, and the next best donut shop I've ever been to. "Simply" is the key word: they make make memorable donuts, no novelties; just the dozen or so basic flavors and shapes. The best donut shop was a place in upstate Pennsylvania that burned down ten years ago. Towne Donut now reigns as the best in existence. Though I do wish they were open Mondays and Tuesdays!
The five star rating is purely for their magical goodness donuts. I've been here before, and it's always been the same experience walking in. It's like a time warp. Twirling bar seats are lined up with old men gossiping and drinking an endless supply of coffee. The place probably hasn't been renovated since the 80's if not earlier. And I'm okay with that. Their donuts are absolutely delicious! I forgot dessert for my lunch guests and needed something quick, so I opted for a half dozen ($5.99) Boston cream
You can't find a better doughnut place around. There's Town Donut Shop, and then there's everyone else. This place is the standard for quality doughnuts in Southern New England. The only other shops that even come close to comparison would be Ma's and USA Homemade. Even so, Town Donut Shop takes the torch and leaves everyone else behind. 5 star rating, all day and everyday.
Donuts are my favorite food and this place has the best. Their quality & service are consistent and we've been going here for years. Don't come for me but they've always been better than Ma's Donuts.
I was so excited to try some real donuts only to be disappointed! Went in to purchase, no one was masked and forget about social distancing. Donuts were okay, dough had funny taste and seemed stale even though I'm pretty sure made that day. The only saving grace was the young woman who waited on me, very pleasant.
If the donuts weren't as good as they are this place would be a 1 start rating just for service alone. For someone looking for really good donuts in the area that aren't a sugar bomb overstuffed with cream or toppings like the donut factory in New Bedford, this place is your spot. The taste and texture of the actual donut is amazing.
We've been several times, and I echo the "go early" sentiment. I took my 4yo at 10 a.m. once, and they were mostly sold out. My daughter was sad, but a man (I'm assuming the owner?) came out of the back and asked what kind she had wanted. She said, "pink frosting." He went into the back, and a couple minutes later brought her a freshly made and frosted pink twist donut. My daughter is 6 now, but she mentions that pink donut every single time we drive by. Great place. Called ahead for my sandwiches. Got there and they are hot and ready to go. Everything is so fresh, and they don't skimp on ingredients. The doughnuts are freshly and fluffy. You definitely need to stop there if you need a great breakfast.

Hadn't been here in a while, it used to be my kids favorite breakfast place before school. They are now grown and long out of school. The food is still add delicious, donuts are phenomenal and staff are as friendly as ever.
Donuts are light and not greasy. The cream donuts are real cream and are made to order. They also do breakfast and prices are more then reasonable. The place is small with not a lot of seating, staff is very friendly.

We got there an hour before closing...very few donuts left. Ten minutes b4 we were acknowleged. The lady that took our order disappeared and came back 5 minutes sfter someone ellse took our order again even though we said someone had taken it. As a result of all this confusion one of our party never got her donut. Everyone was pleasant but seemed like they were more interested in closing up than taking care of us.
