The Urban Bean Coffeehouse Cafe

This locally owned coffee shop is a hidden gem. Their bakery team is phenomenal. We had the donut with maple and bacon, the bagels sandwiches. And the coffee is incredible. The shop has a strong sense of identity. Plenty of parking all around the building. They also offer drive thru window. Well worth visiting.

We used the drive thru, takes a little time if you order food, but they have spots for you to park and they will bring you your food. We ordered the breakfast flatbread and the grits, eggs and sausage bowl. The food came out hot. Everything was super fresh and delicious! The prices are very good for what you get. Plenty of food and very tasty!

I?ve passed by this place a ton but never gone in until today. I got a chocolate cookie and a green smoothie so can?t judge them on their coffee, but my smoothie and the cookie were good. And the shop was so cute! They had a piano and games, check it out.

Called in my order. Got a Garden Obsession Omelette. The food is delicious and the prices are great. The staff was very friendly and the service was excellent. This is a very popular place, especially around meal times. Be prepared to wait a few minutes. Will absolutely go here, again.

If you want a coffee shop that?s friendly, efficient and delicious, look no further. It?s one of the best coffee shops in Florida. Their menu is huge. Breakfast is awesome. I have delivered for this owner many times and wanted to check them out. I can say I loved it. The food and coffee are excellent. My family always enjoys coming here. The food is scrumptious and the menu is vast! As a vegan and being gluten sensitive, I especially appreciate the option variety and substitutions which far exceeds elsewhere in Jacksonville. After approximately 15 minutes of waiting at the drive thru window, I asked the young small framed woman with glasses, a wife beater and black bra what's taking so long. I have driven by this place regularly and missed this gem. I went to meet some friends who just got married. I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant, and it was fabulous! The pastries they serve are extraordinary. And, of course, the coffee was great as well. The owner came out and answered our questions and helped us with a special request. She went above and beyond.

Had the PB Banana Waffle Boat. It was amazing! The waffle was incredibly light and fluffy, not overly sweet but completely decadent! Hubs had the Southern Pecan Waffle Boat, no pics because he ate it all up too quick. He said it was delicious as well! We split and omelet and order of potato pancakes and it was all yummy. We've been coming here for a long time. It's my favorite coffee shop in the Jacksonville area. The coffee is tasty, but my favorite part are the gluten free options! I?ve passed this place several times and finally had the opportunity to have brunch. Ordered the UB salad. Very fresh! My companion had the Oatmeal Super Bowl and was very pleased. I had elderberry tea sweetened with honey and they went out of the way to ?melt? the honey with hot water so it would blend better in the iced tea. The bakery case looked amazing so I will definitely be going back to sample those treats!

We are actually fairly new to this place and we've already been there like 7 or 8 times. Had to place a pretty big order for pick up this morning over the phone, and Michael was amazing! So patient and so detailed. The ordering process was quick and smooth. Made sure I knew about how long the order would take, ensured that I got my receipt via email! Super excited to know that they do catering!

The decor and atmosphere is so charming and cozy. The food was great as well as the presentation. This coffeehouse prepares one of the best coffees. True coffee prepared with dedication. Art and craftsmanship in a cup. So are the pastries and sandwiches. Gluten free options that taste amazing. I love this place. We had my dads 50th birthday party here. And as reliable as Florida is, it rained outside and the staff was able to accommodate us inside the restaurant. Even though they were short staffed, they managed to serve the drive-though, the Caf? and all 25 of us. It took longer than usual but they served us with a smile and were friendly and apologetic. Only feedback - it was about 65 degrees in the cafe, I had to bring guests jackets from my car. Please find a compromise on the temperature??

Very nice for lunch or brunch and breakfast too. Breakfast is sold all day but the menu options on donuts falls after normal breakfast time. The cheese cake is good and the baresta knows her stuff. Outstanding vegan options! The almond milk cappuccino was perfect with a nice foam--very impressive. I stopped in for a late lunch and couldn't resist the pastries. I ordered the Kona flatbread and it was crispy and flavorful. We are so fortunate to have this outstanding restaurant in our town. Love the delicious food to the environment and the amazing staff. You get healthy, vegan and gluten-free choices. Every once in awhile I pull in to the Urban Bean instead of going across the street to Starbucks. Unfortunately they never failed to disappoint. Today was no exception. They were out of muffins. I would come back and give these guys another try, because the food coming out of the kitchen did look really good. My husband and I stopped by for a latte while we were in town, based on the great reviews. I had a chocolate iced doughnut that was delicious, but our lattes were some of the worst I?ve ever had. Tasted like motor oil. We both drank less than half, and both got upset stomachs. I?ve never seen lattes so dark before, and the syrup tasted like it had alcohol in it.

This place has an amazing atmosphere and great staff. I love their selection of coffees, teas, and hand crafted drinks and my toddler is completely in love with their hand made cinnamon rolls!
