The Dough Nut | Midtown

The Dough Nut | Midtown

Reviews Summary

The Dough Nut is highly praised for its delicious, fresh donuts with standout gluten-free and vegan options that customers rave about. Many highlight the friendly staff, variety of flavors (especially Boston Cream, French toast, and seasonal specialties), and affordable prices. Gluten-free donuts receive particular acclaim for tasting "normal" and avoiding cross-contamination. Some note the shop sells out quickly. A few critiques mention occasional dryness, overly dense texture, or overly sweet toppings, but these are outliers. The overall consensus is overwhelmingly positive, with many calling it the best donut spot in town.

I love me some donuts. I got the Dough nut for my wedding instead of cake! I also had gender reveal cupcakes made by them for me and my family! This is a cute shop with yummy and unique flavors. And they are always really nice! Family owned and i love that! I sadly somehow didn?t get photos of my dough nut towers at the wedding but I did get one of our giant hunny wide dough nut!

Came in after a long night of working out and working to find that they have Vegan Donuts!!!! Came in to what I thought was an empty donut shop and then David came out the back to assist me! He loaded up a few more tray's that are long johns without the custard or filling and then I made my choices!!! Today I ordered: Vegan Boston Cream $2.50 I am obsessed with how much custard was in this donut. It made me so happy and smiling from Ear to Ear as I ate it!!! The best part was when I was at then end of m

Ordered a Dozed Donuts through DD for my coworkers today. SO VERY DISAPPOINTED! I went to the Dough Nut one time on the East end, when they opened that location a few years ago, and left feeling like their donuts lack quality & flavor. Never returned. Ordered today because they are the only option for donuts through DD. Their employees obviously don't know basics, like a dozen (12) vs. a half dozen (6). Donuts arrived and I received a half-dozen instead of the dozen I paid for. They did not look very fresh

We are so excited about all their gluten-free flavors! We really like the half chocolate half vanilla GF cake donut with maple as well as the half chocolate half vanilla with raspberry. That being said, you really can?t go wrong with any of them! We learned today that they freeze really well (just defrost overnight in the fridge), so we?re going to be tucking a few away into the freezer and will be back soon!

This place is the best! Such good doughnuts, baked fresh daily. SO awesome to have vegan (dairy free!) options!! Also very affordable prices. You have to get there early as they sell out ??

They have pretty decent gluten free cake donuts - still tastes like a gluten free donut but it?s far better than average texture. Didn?t care for the raised donut. The dough is a bit tough and chewy. The donut guy was super friendly and they have a few unique flavors.

So this is literally the best donut I?ve had I believe that it?s actually homemade it is homemade now that I remember. I really highly recommend this place. If you?re looking for a good local donut in the employee that works here is very kind and helpful.

Very filling donut shop. Close to Voodoo donuts in quality. The prices are far and about average. Over all I would recommend them.

The fact that this place offers gluten and dairy free doughnuts puts this place above the rest! My wife was so excited when I surprised her with three different options! The Bavarian French Toast (not gfdf) doughnut was delicious and I'll definitely be getting it the next time I come back!

Swung in this morning to grab a few donuts for the family. I had a few questions about the ingredients in the GF donuts as I have a long list of dietary restrictions. The guy behind the counter happened to be in charge of making them, and he took the time to answer all my questions and didn?t make me feel like an inconvenience. Not only was I impressed by his kindness, but also the intentionality behind his recipe using clean ingredients. My family enjoyed their regular donuts as always, and I look forward

Excellent glazed donuts! They have a variety of cake and raised donuts. The breakfast sandwiches looked pretty good, though we didn't have one. If you're in for a real treat, try getting your donut holes with soft serve ice cream! Don't forget the coffee, espresso, or Darigold milk. Mmm. Delicious donuts!

My favorite and best donut shop in all of Oregon! It's a must try if you come to Bend. Everything is made fresh daily. The donut ice cream sandwich screams summer time! Go try one!

Really just not good at all. Safeway or groceries stores have better doughnuts

This review is solely based on my experience yesterday. I go here about once a week and get at least a dozen. My experience up until yesterday was a great one. Always had friendly service and my orders have never been off or wrong. Yesterday must have been an off day as there was a gentleman serving, who I had not ever seen before, and he just plain looked angry and miserable. Not once did he smile and there were two people in front of me so I was there for a few. I ordered a dozen and made it easy by sayin

Delicious doughnuts. Gluten free options.

Amazing! The Bavarian donut was incredible and I usually hate cream filled. They even have gluten free and dairy free donuts!

Slightly expensive but you get what you pay for. They are quirky and fun. Worth the splurge once in a while!

Very nice customer service. However, my preference leans toward lighter, softer donuts. These are OK but dense and drier than I prefer.

I can never make it in time for the good stuff. the Bacon ?? Maple Bar is superb. The wife loves the The Bavarian cream. If you ask nicely, they will put in any of the regular Donuts/ bars for a charge.

Got a French toast, Cookies and Cream, and PB&J donut and they unfortunately were nothing special. They seemed like great concepts but each had something not so great about them - French toast was dry, C&C was more vanilla and not so much cookie, and the PB&J just didn?t work with the only peanut butter being it smeared on top of the donut. Might stop in again, but first impression was pretty lackluster.

Yummy dough nuts. We are gluten-free, and the ones they offer are soft, sweet, and tasty. Staff is friendly. Nice little shop. Recommend stopping in.

The Dough Nut has the BEST gluten-free donuts I have ever had. In addition to a scrumptious selection of wheat donuts, they have a variety of gluten-free flavors that are all moist, full of flavor and "melt in your mouth". Thank you!

Arrived at 1:41 pm on a Thursday afternoon, rushing our 7 hour drive from Pullman, WA to arrive before 2 pm. We have a person in our party with celiac disease (gluten free) so we were looking forward to enjoying donuts that met our dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were devastated to find a sign on the door saying they were sold out. Please make enough donuts to satisfy your business hours!!! Another 2 cars pulled up shortly after we arrived, one of whom told us this was the second ti

This is our go to place for donuts!! Especially because I have a dairy allergy and my partner has a gluten allergy. Tip - every little sign they have in the donut case with a green background shows that donut is dairy free ?? And they typically have a decent gluten free selection.

Great shop for donuts. Yummy and fresh. Has the standard assortment like chocolate and maple bars, regular glazed, etc. Also some fun flavors like French Toast cream, salted caramel, chai. Also has gluten & dairy free (not vegan, has eggs to keep dough together). Go early! We went at 11am and there were only a few basics left. ??

I?m not the first to say it, but it must be said and said and said again: BEST GLUTEN FREE DOUGH NUTS EVAAAHHH! I am a frustrated gluten free eater. I love all things with gluten and hate all gluten free things cuz most of them taste like paste. This delightful confection is top notch by any standard - not just gluten free. Keep doing what you?re doing, cuz you?re perfect!!!

They rarely have gluten free doughnuts actually available and when you finally get them they're not doughnuts... they're cake.

I was reluctant at first to try something gluten-free made where from scratch baked goods are also made. The staff that I talked to stated that they were unaware of anyone in the five years they worked there reporting getting sick from their gluten-free doughnuts. The doughnuts are baked and kept separate from everything else. Neither my spouse or myself got glutenized. I myself stopped eating at pizza restaurants after continously getting sick from cross-contamination. I am not exactly sure how they avoid

Stopped in on a Sunday for the first time. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. There was a good variety of donuts. The flavor of the toppings are very good however I have to agree with other reviews that the donuts are on the chewier side which can seem old or stale. That may be perfect for some donut lovers but not myself. Check them out to see if these are right for you.

Great vegan donuts! Look for the green label ! They're on Doordash too!

Super yummy vegan donuts!! It's not super easy to tell what vegan varieties they have by looking at their website, but a quick phone call led to a super helpful & friendly description of the vegan options of the day! We got a couple of fritters (apple and pear) and a couple of cream pies (maple and Boston/chocolate). Worth the trip!!!

best cinnamon twists i?ve ever had, so fluffy and the glaze is delicious! i love this donut shop, the crew is always super friendly, fast service, delicious donuts :)

The nice girl and the shop offered me a donut on the house for being a delivery driver him and that made me and the baby in my belly very happy and I teared up a little bit. I got a French toast donut and it is absolutely scrumptious! Thank you so much ????

We always stop here when in town from PDX. The vegan donuts select is awesome! They even have a vegan Boston cream that my wife adores. My favorites are the maple bar, apple fritters and the donut holes. Just make sure to arrive early in the day or they might be sold out of your favorites. Hoping some day they might expand to Portland!

My wife was excited because They have gluten free doughnuts here! I got the banana cream and was not disappointed! Busy intersection so lots of traffic but not expensive at all imo.

Great spot to grab donuts before a Central Oregon adventure. We always get a sprinkle donut and some maple bars. We also get the different seasonal options. The staff is always friendly and has been wearing masks when we have been in since the mandate changed.

The vegan donuts taste just like regular donuts!! Very delicious! Vegan Boston cream is amazing! Great prices as well! 3 premium donuts and a coffee for <$9

Cute concept, but poor execution. Donuts are very dry, cream filling is bland, banana cream filling tastes like artificial flavoring. I've tried them 3 times and don't think I'll be coming back again.

Vegan Boston Creme and Apple Fritters, my lactose intolerance was a non-issue and the doughnuts were awesome!!

Business was closed at 6:05 am, even though it advertised Open. No coffee No ??. The ?? picture posted looks good. Two star review for being closed. 2nd review - It's not often I treat myself to donuts. It was early and I was looking forward to my first cup of coffee with a fresh donut. Since we saw someone out back, we thought you would be open. I do understand covid. Hoping for a retry. ??

Favorite breakfast sandwiches in town although sometimes they are out of the ingredients it has and so they will offer to mix what they have at the time into my sandwich instead, which is helpful. I?d say 5 stars aside from how many times I have experienced this lack of ingredients listed on their menu but not in a terrible sense. Great place to eat

I live up the street and have been here more times than I care to admit. I've never been disappointed with a single donut I've tried from here. I love the boston cream pie and the fritters as go-tos. The french toast, chai spice, pistachio are also all really good. I admit they're not the best donut I've ever had, but the prices are good, the flavors are good and they're close to my house.

Good doughnuts in Bend Oregon. Individual doughnuts were a little pricey but worth it. Nice and soft with plenty of different and unique flavors. This was the only doughnut store I tried in Bend, and I definitely recommend. Service was a little slow, could have used one more employee because they were so busy.

Gluten free doughnuts that are actually really good. FINALLY. This could be dangerous..... Peach fritter, cake doughnuts, old fashioned.... all delicious, as confirmed by my family. It would be awesome if we could get the peach fritter gluten free. Just sayin'.??

Mid doughnuts not good selection. Lowkey stale but best thing you can get for donuts in the area

Stopped by to get a maple bar with bacon and left with not only that, but also an awesome peanut butter chocolate fritter! This place is fantastic and the only spot in Bend you need to go for your doughnut fix! I am going to need to return to try out their signature doughnut-ice cream sandwich as well!

Very good doughnuts. Creative selection of flavors but not many if any of the classics. Went in the afternoon and the doughnuts were still fresh tasting. They exceeded my taste expectations.

Honestly the best of the best! This is the donut I compare all donuts to! We always treat ourselves when we are in Bend! Love that it's vegan and gf friendly as well!

Today I moved to Las Vegas. As it was my last day in Bend, beefore I headed to the airport, I stopped at The Dough Nut to have one last bite of the best donut in the world. I arrived just as they closed (the door was locked), but they opened he door for me and graciously said goodbye and wished me well. It was the best send off ever. And in case I didn?t make it clear that these donuts are the best, let me highly recommend this place. It?s all good, but the Nutella is insane. Thank you Dough Nut. You will b

Great Doughnuts, and great service. Every town needs a great doughnut shop!

Great service, great products. The Gluten/Soy free donuts rock. They have a teeny bit of dairy in them and having my dairy allergy (not lactose intolerant) I can handle them no problem.

This doughnut shop is my favorite! There was a little mix up on a bday doughnut box I had preordered but they went above and beyond to correct the mishaps immediately! Amazing staff and amazing doughnuts! They will forever be my #1 stop!

Second best doughnuts in town!:

Great donuts! Their vegan donuts are awesome, taste like "normal" ones, which is great for our family since my son has food allergies to milk and eggs.

They had a lot of "Vegan" donut options. While still not good for you, it was the first time I had a doughnut in two years. I ate two! ??

I have been here twice now and the first trip would have rated 3.5 stars, but today's trip is only getting 2 stars because my boston creme donut had too much chocolate on the top, too much creme in the center and all around too much sugar. I wiped most of the chocolate off because it was hurting my teeth and it left a bad after taste in my mouth. Needless to say, it will be my last visit here.

Stopped for some apple fritters, and ended up getting several other donuts as well. The others were ok, but the fritters were horrible. Not one piece of apple in two fritters. They were more like a fried piece of dough with a slight apple flavor.

So many vegan donut options!

Great gourmet doughnuts with a variety of delicious flavors that are full bodied yet fluffy. It is definitely worth it to stop here if want a quick sweet treat.

Get there early! You're not the only one thinking about donuts on a Saturday morning. Great donuts and great service. The French toast donuts are a thing of beauty. Highly recommend ??

The employees were very rude and I got food poisoning from this place. When I called to tell them, they were (again) rude and kept brushing me off. I called multiple times to speak with the manager, but he was never available. I asked them how I could get ahold of them and they told me to e-mail them. I e-mailed them multiple times but never heard back. Needless to say, I will never give this company my money ever again.

This place seems to be a prime spot to watch accidents on the weekend. There was a cop who wrecked his cruiser into side because he couldn't wait to get these donuts. They're decent, probably better fresh out of the oven in the early hours.

I've stopped here twice and both times they were basically out of donuts. The donuts are good though so I guess you just need to get there early.

Some of the best donuts I've ever had. Cinnamon twists ??

They carry Gluten Free donuts in great flavors! Love my Sunday morning treat!

I wish I worked different hours so I could stop by there more. Oh man are they good. I love s'mores, I love doughnuts, and they have s'mores doughnuts. Bacon maple doughnuts! I recommend stopping by.

They have a great gluten-free cake doughnut.

Good... way better than Krispy Kreme but get there early

We went at 745 am and they were out of a ton of options. They are always out of something. 90% of the time it?s the donut holes. We

Fresh donuts yummy yummy flavors friendly service a little spendy totally worth it cuz they have so many different unique flavors especially if you want to treat somebody special

I love the raspberry filled doughnuts!!! They are all so great! They make them fresh every day!!!!

This place is small but mighty. They have classic donuts and Gluten Free.

Tender, pillowy and original flavored donuts. Nice staff, lots of unique selections including gluten free options.

I love this place! The donuts are amazing and taste amazing, the doughnut will be my #1 place to go for donuts!

Always had amazing treats for everyone! Great gluten free donuts ??

Good customer service, however donuts are pretty chewy, not soft- they're alright, not amazing in my opinion.

Good doughnuts but the location isn't super ideal to hang out at. Not very cozy but good to grab a doughnut and go!

Good donuts with a gluten free option. They're not fried gluten free though, just cake donuts.

Maple bacon bars. Go now. Run don't walk. Go early and buy for your friend s and family. Everything is excellent and friendly staff.

Good donuts, terrible customer service. Telling a customer you cannot and won?t check the ingredient list for allergens is unacceptable.

The Dough Nut has great donuts and gets them to you fast. The staff is also really nice.

Thanks for the vegan options. The dough nuts are always delicious.

Best doughnuts in town and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Love this place!

Very good at everything

Some of the best donuts in town. Amazing vegan options at reasonable prices to.

Best donut place in bend mainly cause I have food allergies and the donut serves allergen free donuts.

We found our jelly donuts place!! Apple fritters are amazing as well ?????

We love this place! Only place that has vegan Donut's! Big variety!
