The food was delicious. The server was nice and helpful. We got the food promptly. We picked a good time to go because it wasn?t too busy. We got the Classic Pasty, miner?s Breakfast Pasty, and Grumpy Morning Miner. We all enjoyed them. Two huge donuts yummy.

I?m so tired of the places going out of their way to make everything oversized. Strawberry cheesecake donut was the better donut out of the 3. Strawberry 8/10 Glaze 3/10 Maple 3/10 The donuts are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dry. You can barely taste the glaze.

This place went viral for a reason! HUGE donuts that are light and fluffy. Soft and fresh bagels! Savory Pasties, which are a hand made pie filled with savory fillings and baked to perfection. We went early to get the best selection and even on a random morning they were busy. Such a yummy place!!

Dough is appropriate as they taste and look like thick white bread with some sweet toppings. If you like thick dry bread this is your place. The cinnamon roll was the best item we tried. DON?T recommend the DOUGHnut items.

I ordered the spicy miner on an everything bagel and the chocolate tantrum, claim jumper, and canyon custard donuts. The sandwich was delicious but did immediately fall apart. No big deal. The canyon custard donut was very good, but the custard wasn?t that great. The claim jumper was fine. Now for the chocolate tantrum? I bit into it and it was raw! We did a maple bar taste test between here and 5 other local donut shops and unfortunately Dough Miners was our least favorite. However, I did get their classic glazed, and I was not disappointed! Their miners breakfast pasty is fine. Once I got to the middle the flavor was good, but It definitely needs some sauce or something to help with the thickness of the pastry. Note that the square donut is not from dough miner (the large glazed donut is dough miner).

My wife and I enjoyed the Miner?s Breakfast Pastie and a Canyon Custard doughnut and they were great. Quiet Saturday morning eating in the restaurant. We would come again!!

Awesome little place. The bagel sandwiches were fantastic. The cinnamon rolls were great, and the glazed donut is phenomenal. That's all I tried so far, but I'm definitely going back this weekend to try some more food. Parking is easy, with plenty of spaces, unlike most areas in the busy parts of Salt Lake. Lovely spot for something savory or something sweet. There are a ton of choices here, but I ended up going with the Miner?s Breakfast Pasty and the Good Ol? Glazed donut. Both were huge in size that I ended up sharing it with my coworkers. Service is fast and they were patient enough to explain all of the food they offer and what was the most popular. My wife and I travel throughout the year. When we get into town, I always look for a good cinnamon roll. My wife got the breakfast pastry. This place is amazing. Everything thing is fresh. Come prepared to share or be really hungry because everything is huge. You won't be disappointed

Food is 5 stars! I highly recommend the Classic pasty or the funeral potato pasty. They're full of flavor and so delicious! One is very filling. We got HP sauce, brown gravy and ketchup. HP sauce and brown gravy were a hug hit with my group of three. I'm not a huge sweet person but we got the chocolate tantrum and lemon poppy donuts, they were divine. The only reason I put 4 stars is because it's more of a grab and go, instead of sit and enjoy kind of place.

This hole in the wall has a wonderful selection of "potpie-like" pastries that they refer to as pasties and mammoth sized yeast donuts. The breakfast party. A new top notch donut place in Utah. The donuts are huge! The maple bar donut has to be our favorite maple bar in Utah. The strawberry donut was also excellent and was quickly gobbled up by the kids. Bought three doughnuts, 2 of them were raw in the middle ?? and the Bavarian cream had VERY little cream, it wasn?t even seen when I cut it in half. The pasties were good though. I made a special trip downtown for this and was sadly underwhelmed.

These Donuts are not Homer Simpson Donuts. They fit comfortably on a salad plate and are about the size of half head of cabbage to keep the comparison to salads. The taste however obliterates any salad . Think of a soft brioche with a winsome crumb filled with real pastry cream and slathered with chocolate (not quite a sugar glaze but not a ganache either). I've never in my 35 years on this earth had a bagel sandwich so good before. Have you ever taken a bite of food, stopped, stare at it and just be grateful to be alive to eat it? I did, every time I took a bite. I got the grumpy miner, and BYOB (onions bagel, sausage, scramble egg, American cheese) both toasted. Absolute 10/10. There is a shortage of perfect donuts in the world. The Dough Miner has mastered texture. These donuts are soft, not overly sweet while remaining fill of flavor. I love donuts. I?m not a snob, but some donuts are just better than others. These don?t compete in the same league as others. It?s like the 1999 St. Louis Rams Vs. a high school team - it?s not even fun to watch. I have passed this place for years in the evening when they were closed. I have a different schedule now and finally got to check them out and got a bagel tuna sandwich for lunch and it was delicious!! I will most definitely be back. Found this place with a quick Google search and discovered quite possibly the best donut shop in the valley! Super cute hidden gem near the granary district. This place is very much known for their pasty?s, which are ok in my opinion. The classic pasty is filled with too large of potato chunks. Excellent pasties! I especially love the breakfast ones, kind of like a breakfast burrito but wrapped in flaky, delicious crust. A little pricy but very filling. Definitely try it with the HP sauce, this is one of our new favorite spots for a grab-n-go meal.

The Dough Miner's brown butter donut is the best donut I have ever had. The flavor was great but the texture of their yeast donuts is out of this world! The bagels were good but I was disappointed that the cream cheese was spread so thin I couldn't even taste it. With how dense and thick the bagels are the cream cheese should be a half an inch thick, at the very least, in my humble opinion. This place used to be good but quality has gone off a cliff. Reading the reviews shows many people unfortunately share this experience. I also see the owner is responding to negative reviews in a comically infantile fashion, so be careful sharing your honest opinions or he may passive aggressively "review the reviewer...". Maybe try improving your product and service instead of badgering people that don't like your subpar product.

Worth waiting in 3rd west traffic. I normally avoid driving 3rd W like the plague because traffic is so awful. But the Dough Miner is the shining light at the end of the tunnel. The pasties are absolutely delicious, I've tried them all. Just this afternoon I tried out the seasonal chicken pot pie and the Thanksgiving pasty and they were great. Their donuts are not my style, a little dry, so I wouldn't go out of my way for those. But the pasties are one of a kind in SLC.

Delighted to find a pasty shop in Salt Lake. Ordered the Funeral Potato. Yay! Vegetarian! Obviously, a Utahn has certain expectations when throwing the word 'funeral' around 'potato.' What I received was a delicious onion and potato pasty. There was no creamy, cheesy sauce in sight, no hints of a cultural hall funeral. That saddened me. Through my sadness, I still found appreciation for a unique savory breakfast item. Latte was lovely. My co-eaters enjoyed their chorizo and dough miner pasty.

We got pasties & coffee delivered and they're fantastic: easy to eat, filling, authentic, each one a tasty meal. The dough is particularly good, and the fillings are flavorful and well-seasoned. The "pappy's maple latte" is also very good. I recommend the brown gravy to accompany the pasties. A little bit of home & Michigan here in Utah.

I ordered online and that was good. The doughnuts are terrible. Frosting was non existent and for a huge, dry cake donut that?s not good. I would have let it go but they shorted me my order. I tried to get a refund and they gave me an email. No response after several attempts. Went back. Email again?. Lame overpriced doughnuts. Lame customer service. The donuts are nice and big but taste like straight garbage. The donut I purchased was stale and just gross! I tried to eat as much as I could, which was maybe 4 bites. Pass on their donuts. This place has the most amazing pasties! We got a funeral potato, chorizo and egg, and a meat pie Pasty. All of them were so tasty! Our favorite was the cherizo and egg. The donuts were the size of four donuts in one and they were delicious too. The service is awesome too. They accidentally gave us the wrong ones and then gave us the right ones later that day. You are missing out if you don't come to this place.

The coffee was really good, and the vegetarian pastie (say it like paahsty) was fantastic! The crust was flaky and flavorful and the filling was moist and delicious.

The kolaches are incredible. The dough texture is so soft, almost melt in your mouth, with flavorful filling. I think it's the best one I've ever eaten.

Went there had only 3 types of donuts all didn't look appetizing. But I heard this place was good. Had some brown sugar one which the person said was their best seller. AFTER WAITING FOR 45MINS ONE OF OUR BAGELS WAS FROZEN INSIDE!! The customer service is horrible! Along with the line out the door, we waited at the cash register while the workers filled online orders for 10 minutes. I would say choose between online orders only or in person orders only.
