The Donut Trap - Prior Machine

My son and I drove 15 minutes out of our way to try this while we were in the cities recently. The idea is cool, but the execution was terrible. First, the machine kept saying it was "out" of the option I selected, even though I could see a few of that kind in there, and the options available weren't that great to begin with. Second, the display names of each donut didn't match what was actually in that slot, so after trying at least 10 times to get the machine to dispense ANY donut, it dropped one that was

DELICIOUS! ?? I tried my first Donut Trap donut called "Ohhh Heck Yahhh" and HECK YAH I'll be getting another in the future!! I love the dense spice cake donut with chocolate icing, caramel drizzle and toffee sprinkles! What a combination! Pairs so well with iced coffee!?? Very delicious and surprisingly fresh to come from a vending machine! I highly recommend trying! ?

This is cake, not a donut. The cake part had this cinnamon flavor to it while the flavor of the 'donut' was supposed to be cookies and cream. It was also pretty small. Not worth the $5.50.

It was a fun experience trying navigate the warehouse to find the vending machine. The selection was well picked through. We got the cake ODB and the cake NO Flex Zone. The chocolate donut holes were crazy good. So soft, just sweet enough but not too much. A bit of coffee, the lightest ganache. I cannot believe something this good and fresh came out of a vending machine. And the staff is awesome - friendly, authentic, and fun.

Vending machine not a store, hidden down a hallway was confusing to find. The vending machine was cool, my kids thought it was the best part. The actual donuts were ok, though they seemed more like circles of cake than donuts. They were pretty good for cake.

This is the most chill doughnut spot in MPLS. If you want a crazy good doughnut with a great atmosphere and really nice people this is your place.

I stopped by the Richfield farmer's market and the young women was very sweet and pleasant to talk with. The the additional star review here is for her. I bought this for a breakfast gathering and people barely touched it. First time trying these donuts. Very dense, dry, they all taste like cinnamon dough and very uneven donut shapes. The cake donuts are decent.

It was pretty good, but the Sandlot was made with cinnamon toast crunch instead of golden graham's which I think may have been an accident, but ruined the donut. All the other donuts I tried where good. The donuts are very soft and have a slight cinnamon flavor. The owner is super friendly and helpful. I love the names and style of everything with this business. I will be back, it is definitely worth a try if you're on the fence about going to this place.

Just had the cake version of Uncle Clifford from the MSP vending machine and DAMN! It?s real good. Moist cake that?s delightfully spiced, loaded with crunchy peanut butter on top and finished with chocolate drizzle. A treat worth the money.

Awesome donuts with such a variety of flavors. I highly recommend going to any of the farmers markets they have around the cities. The donuts are made fresh every morning and you can tell! My favorite Saturday morning breakfast for sure.

Do NOT order delivery from their website. I ordered donuts for delivery over a week ago. This company's website at the time, and as of writing, has the option of ordering for delivery. I couldn't believe the variety and the quality of the donuts they have there. These donuts are not like your typical big chain restaurant donuts; they're made with care. And the owner, Brad, was incredibly friendly and nice. We sat down and had a conversation while I ate my donut. This is a great local donut shop. I highly recommend it!

The vending machine is a cute concept, but it is difficult to find, and the donuts are somewhat dry and dense. The frosting was actually good, but not good enough to save the donut. Maybe I will try the donuts they make for the Farmers Market but I don?t plan on returning to the vending machine.

The vending machine donuts all have the same base/bread, it?s like banana bread but dry and much denser. It?s ok, but doesn?t complement many of the upper toppings well. It feels cheap compared to what you should get for $4, but I suppose is what the donuts have to taste like in order to last in a vending machine.

Update: Skip the Tom Horton's next door if Sssdude-Nutz is open. It's locally owned and the owner operates the shop and it is GOOD. Get in there. Small, cute and the owner is right there working in his shop. Oh, and the donut I got was great. I live on the other side of downtown, but will definitely go back.

The guy who was at the counter was very sweet and helpful. This shop has a cool atmosphere and chill vibe. Donuts are a little pricey, but 100% worth it to support a lovely small business.

Purchased a donut from the Farmer's Market one Saturday morning. I think I paid for the "edgy name" because it was very pricey for a mediocre donut. Overall taste and quality was not there for me. Would not recommend.

Be warned, as a small bakery product is made fresh so product can be sold-out. Be early to get in on the goodness.

Stale donuts in a hallway is the best way to describe this place. Hardly any donuts and what was there looked like they had been there for days (maybe longer). To make it worse there was no place to sit and the lack of lighting made it feel depressing just to be there. Btw, we never even got any donuts. Place made us feel grossed out and sad.
