The Donut Stop

We are so lucky to live close to the Donut Stop. The donuts are so fresh and delicious and they have so many unique flavors. They also make donut cakes that are HUGE! As you can see, my little girl was absolutely overjoyed to have her own donut cake for breakfast ??

I drove in from North Carolina and made this my first stop. I had grown up in the area and getting donuts from here is one of my fondest memories. They never disappoint!! Great people and phenomenal donuts!! Can?t get donuts this good in NC, so I always make sure to stop in several times when I come home for a visit. Highly recommend!!

One of, if not the best donut shops in Saint Louis! They are known for their fritters and Cinnamon Globs (both are enormous!) and they carry an amazing selection of donuts on a daily basis. Good prices for the quality you get and if they don?t have something visible, be sure to ask as they may have it in the back or put it together for you right then. As with any donut shop, be sure to get there early as they sell out very quickly in the morning, especially weekends.

Quaint place. All was ok until the gal filling my order licked her fingers. At least it was after she put my last donut in the box. She was also almost rude as I didn't know what exactly what I wanted when I walked in. I will think twice before returning despite the very delicious donuts. Yes I risked the germs. I have been searching for the custom donuts and finally heard that The Donut Stop makes them. I called in and a very friendly voice answered. His name is Jerry and he was so kind and enthusiastic about my custom request. I asked for a donut in the shape of a 3 and he proceeded to ask me what else I wanted customized. Have been a donut stop regular for some time now. Recently I needed to place a bulk order (~450 donuts) for an event. The Donut Stop staff was accommodating, kind and thorough. The donuts were ready when I arrived for pick up. The donuts were fresh and incredibly good (as usual). Even if it's a bit of a drive for you to get here, trust me, it's worth the trip.

I don't even understand why people are saying these donuts are so good because they're really not anything out of the ordinary. They were dry, the shop is itself is rundown and the worker was not very friendly and looked dirty. She definitely looked like she didn't like her job. If you want FABULOUS donuts go to John's Donuts in Soulard. We went before we came here but they were closed until Sunday. Please don't waste your money here.

Yummy donuts! We enjoyed the style of their donuts. My husband said it best, if you like the old fashioned/old style of donuts, then this is the place for you. They were so good that our family of 5, including 2 kiddos and a toddler, demolished an entire dozen before we left the parking lot.

Hands down some of my favorite donuts in town. I originally went in a couple years back to try out the globs, they were good, but I revisited and went a more traditional route with vanilla sprinkle long john. They nailed it. I had no idea they could be so perfectly made. My big thing for donut shops is that they gotta be open 24hrs or something close to in order to be on my top, but I'll make an exception for The Donut Stop.

Ordered a donut cake for my son's 9th birthday & it did not disappoint! The cake was light & delicious! It was the perfect size for our party. Our guests raved about how.good it was! Our little doesn't like cake nor cupcakes so this was perfect.

I come back for the donuts and the very friendly staff. Every time I am in there they chat me up and I pick out the donuts. You must try the cinnamon globs. While they are not my favorite they are worth the calories. I think one reason this place is so popular is it really is an old fashioned donut shop. I wanted to do something nice for our healthcare workers at South County Habilitation Center so I called and spoke with Tim at The Donut Stop about any deals for these workers. He offered to donate 3 dozen donuts and offered to donate extras at the end of the day on a more ongoing basis. The staff there could not have been nicer and their donuts are amazing. Awesome Customer Service! I had ordered and paid for a dozen donuts, some specific ones, for a friend's birthday. When I went to pick it up the next day, they couldn't find the order. When they found the receipt, they were out of the donuts I had requested. Not only did they offer to make a special birthday order, they delivered it, for free! This is going above and beyond. I'm afraid to share my favorite thing about The Donut Stop in fear that y'all will sell them out. The cinnamon glob is where it's at! It's basically a cinnamon roll that forgot what it was doing. I been eating donuts at The Donut Shop since a child. Moving towards the West, I've tried other places and I still dream about the donuts at The Donut Shop. As the years have gone by, my family has informed me about a location, besides the one off Lemay Ferry, another one off I-70 and Zumbehl! My Grandmother worked here for years. I remember sitting in the back peeking into the floor and watching her fill donuts with custard or smear icing on long john's and then if I was good, getting to pick my two favorites.
