I loved visiting here with my friends during our late night donut run. The atmosphere was great and the service was amazing. We got extra donuts with our dozen and they were very tasty. ??

This place is ABSOLUTELY so delicious!!!! Fresh, tasty, so many options, even a blueberry old fashioned!! Bakers dozen, cash only, and open all the time! The Tiger Tail reminded me of high school when I used to frequent a different donut shop early in the morning before school. The viewing window is a pretty cool feature to see the bakers baking. Definitely recommend to anyone who likes tasty fresh donuts. We totally ate them all pretty quickly. Thanks for all the deliciousness.

This is the best donut place in Chico! Their donuts are always fresh and they obviously change out their oil frequently cause the taste of each donut is heavenly! Still the GOAT. No offense to the other donut shops, but I honestly don't know how they're still in business at this point. I wouldn't get donuts anywhere else. If the Nook is closed, I'm not buying going elsewhere. I'll just wait until they're open or try again another day. I highly recommend the chocolate chip squares.

The donuts are delicious. My favorite in Chico. This is a family owned business. I think many of the employees are members of the family, so it's a nice local Chico spot. The people are friendly, and they have a nice selection of donuts.

I've been going here on and off for over 20 years and the quality has never faltered. Always a great selection of delicious doughnuts, fresh coffee, and just an awesome experience. Prices are fair. Be aware: they are CASH ONLY! So get some cash from the ATM before going in. It's worth it. Pay attention to the hours. They're 24 how several days of the week, and that's what drew me in first. We would finish a late night radio show and then head over to the Nook for some tasty donuts at 3AM. It is wondrous.

So in the grand scheme of things, this is likely the best donut spot in chico. I am unaware, but it might be the only donut spot, that I know of in chico. While the atmosphere borders on small town charm and in need of a HGTV makeover, the product produced, is worth it. When you come in, you are often greeted by a baker, fast at work putting together some fried creation, and you see it happen right before your very eyes. This place has the best donuts in the entire north state in my opinion. They are fresh and great tasting and the variety is really awesome too!

On Valentine's Day they sold out of donuts!! Before noon. Poor planning. IMO. Everytime I have gone there they have no selection. And only had sugar twists. Yuk, not my favorite. Their hours are hit or miss. Just not the best. Wish Krispy Kreme was still open here. It's closed down now.

Two stars max for this place. I gave it an honest chance and all I can say is that The Donut Nook is overrated. The donuts here are very fluffy and oily, borderline undercooked. One apple fritter will soak through the bag in an oily mess and fall apart from gravity. A quality fritter should have a pronounced crust and crunch and maintain its shape. There are multiple issues that I have noticed with this place. On the weekends, the line is out the door and most people are buying large numbers of donuts

Had some clients come into our shop earlier today and found out donut nook is open 24 hours thats so awesome we always get off late never get up early especially to eat so it's super convenient the kids live it they have fantabulous donuts and a window where you can see them being made the kids love that and the employees are nice its always clean and the prices are super cheap its my go to for donuts ????

Stopped in to grab an apple fritter and left with a dozen because they all looked so fresh and appetizing along with my coffee. Apple fritter was so soft and warm with chunks of apple and not overly sweet, perfect.

Went in at 10pm. I asked for a random dozen donuts, gave me more like a mountain full of donuts. They were very good as well.

The donuts are amazing. Not even greasy! I'd not had a maple bar that good in years. It was actually dough, not greasy holes with maple on top. We tried several types and they were all so good. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but so worth the goodness on your insides lol. We went around 9:30am and still a great selection. The feel is older style, which was kinda welcoming to me. They had coffee available as well.

I came here often as a child, and have returned now, more than 20 years later. This place was and is still a gem. The years I've been gone I've always held other donuts up to this standard and have been mostly disappointed by other shops. The tenderness, flavor, amount of filling and overall quality can't be beat. Hell, I've only found a few, in 20 years, that can equal this place... This is a Chico staple for early morning sweet eats! Not only do they still bring out the original favorites but they also have some of the more modern and imaginative seasonal doughnuts too. What do I consider a perfect donut? A donut that doesn't make the roof of my mouth scummy. These donuts meet the criteria which therefore means they are awesome especially the maple bars or maple twists. Mainly stick to those so can't talk about other kinds except the apple fritters and cinnamon rolls are awesome also. Reasonably priced. Excellent late night snack.

I've only been here about a half dozen times over several years, but every time I've had a good experience. Warm, friendly staff and great donuts. If you can catch the apple fritters when their still warm they're the best. The fact its open 24/7 and owned by the same local people for decades is a plus in my book too.

I absolutely love this place for donuts, and every employee is always nice and friendly. My major gripe here is that they do not accept credit/debit cards. I understand the overhead involved with taking these, but they would receive a lot more of my business if they did since I have to make an extra trip to get cash out (I don't carry any with me). Other than that, I highly recommend!

The doughnuts were pretty good, the gal behind the counter was very nice, but I didn?t appreciate how the donuts seemed to be just thrown into the boxes, especially as it was for a birthday. Appealing display of their doughnuts, and I was very excited about their apple fritters. Unfortunately, they were a disappointment because they were too doughy, too brown on the bottom and not enough glaze. You buy fritters because you want the crunch, sweet taste, but without the thick doughy texture.

This is another place that I used to go with my family when I was a kid. Every Saturday after soccer games in the morning, we would go to the donut nook to get maple bars and chocolate bars. Best donuts south of Redding. The only other spot that comes close to this is Jack's donuts in Anderson, CA. The donuts are on the thicker side like a real donut should be. They are very tasty and they have a great variety. My favorite so far is the twist with chocolate and carmel sauce drizzle.

Been going here since the fire and it has kept our Saturday morning donut tradition alive! This means more to our family than you could possibly imagine!

I work a 12 hrs shift. I always enjoyed coming to the Donut nook after shift. I haven't been in for awhile due to the fact that they are actually dipping fresh donuts in sprinkles or sugar etc not wearing gloves. I watched her doing this, then adding donuts to a customers bag. Then she goes back to her work station continuing dipping donuts, never wash hands. With our world be upside down due to COVID-19 we all should practice good hygiene wash your hands wear gloves when preparing food.

This is, hands down, my absolute favorite donut spot in Chico... or anywhere, for that matter. The hours are super convenient, especially for a late-night snack. The prices are reasonable, especially if you're able to get your hands on any of the day-old donuts. The maple-bacon donut on Friday night is mind blowing ??. And nothing beats a fresh, warm original glaze from there with a nice, cold glass of milk. Then, finish it up with the classic game of Galaga that they have in the lobby. Unbeatable.
