I was told about this while place waiting in line for record store day in Auburn/Opelika, AL. I figured if people were raving about it from over an hour away, I had to give it a try. I decided to stop my next time passing through Eufaula and I am so glad I did! I got the donut holes, original donuts, and glazed chocolate. Hands down the best donuts I?ve ever had. I try to stop here every time I go thru Eufaula. They have the best donuts, everything in here is good. I have never gotten something I don?t like, the folks here are very nice also. You will be happy you stopped in, if they sell out they do close early but if you are wondering if it?s good, don?t wonder just stop and get some doughnuts! Thank you for having me!

Friendly service and amazing donuts at very reasonable prices. A dozen donut holes for a little over $3 is almost too good to pass up, and the donut holes are also bigger than any others I've ever seen. I also got a long john with raspberry filling and chocolate icing. It was huge. Look at that thing compared to my hand. They're very generous with the filling. Haven't had them in over 2 years, but we got donuts and donut holes yesterday. We were sadly disappointed ?? I used to love the melt in your mouth donuts. Now they don't taste fresh and there is way too much glaze. Unfortunately, I wasted my money. We threw them away. The sausage dogs are still delicious.

On your way down to Destin, FL? Stop here. Mouth watering. Delicious. Probably bad for you? Absolutely. Worth it? Absolutely. Stopped at a red light and saw the line out the door. Its fantastic. Have simply driven through Eufaula many many times but never stopped. This time we did at the Donut King, per recommendation of a friend. SO glad we did. Best donuts ever, very reasonably priced, and the folks who work there are patient and kind. We were asked if this was our first visit to Donut King, which it was, and they gave us both a free donut hole. We were hooked right there. The donuts are fluffy, soft and oh so fresh. Bought 3 bags of doughnut holes on Tuesday at 6 am. I would have to say these were the worst doughnut holes I have ever bought. I should have looked in the bags before I left but I did not. These looked like they were 3 days old and tasted like it too. Now I have bought doughnut holes before and they were great. This time they were garbage and will never stop there for another doughnut ever. And a waste of 9 dollars too and I have never seen a doughnut hole so tiny from this place too.

Can I rate this more stars? Possibly the best donuts I?ve ever had! All fresh and warm at 10am. Filled donuts overflowing with filling. So so good!! Friendly staff and great prices. The steady stream of people at 10am on a Wednesday is a testament that this 50-year old landmark has had it figured out for a long time!

The workers are so kind and always have a smile on their face and never are rude. The food is good (YOU HAVE TO TRY THEIR CHILLI DOGS) their maple donut was the best donut I had here (It was limited I think) they never fail to disappoint and their donuts are the best ive had.

Best doughnuts I've ever had! Soft and fluffy. Cinnamon rolls are out of this world! I will continue to drive an hour and a half for these. Beats any chain doughnut any day!

This was a wonderful delight on our random stop to Panama City Beach. Lots of options. The plain glazed donut was delicious! You won't be disappointed.

Ya'll better stop and get yourself a donut from the Donut King. Best donuts I've had in Alabama. Staff was very nice and helpful. Gave us a sample of the donut holes. Had a cinnamon sugar twist and a chocolate sprinkle. I also love the fish plaques inside the storefront.

Better late than never! I got hitched in 2020 and I wanted something different for our main dessert. Donut king provided donut holes, honey buns, cinnamon twist and some original glazed that turned into a beautiful and DELICIOUS donut tower. I received so many compliments on the taste and quality of these treats it was unreal. Thank you for helping to make our Big day one for the books .??

The best glazed donuts in the South that I have found. The staff is so caring and friendly. As soon as we walked in, they handed us a sample. Get there early though. They sell out!

I live about an hour away and EVERYTIME I go thru Eufaula they are always closed. I rode by there at 9 am and they were closed. I've never heard of a donut shop closing mid morning.

This was my first time going and they were so nice they gave me a free donut hole sample and it was so good. Me and my 3 kids all picked one donut (they had a good amount of options) and all of them were good. If your driving to fast you?ll miss it because it?s a small place but it?s definitely worth the stop and we will be back!!

Fantastic experience! For $10 I got 3 huge donuts (made fresh at the location), a large coffee, bag of donut holes and a chili cheese sausage! All of it was amazing. And the customer service was great! (Super nice people)

Omg. This was the BEST donut I have ever put in my mouth. My husband grew up around here, we now live in North Alabama. My first visit here today was outstanding. I started looking at the menu and couldn?t figure out what I wanted, so the front counter lady gave me a hot warm donut hole. Absolutely AMAZING. I WILL be coming back.

Delicious!!! Stopped on the way back from PCB because of the line down the street when I passed by the first time. The staff was friendly and there was a good selection of donuts and drinks! Definitely worth a stop.

I have ate donuts from many different states. I have had donuts from locally owned businesses, regional chains, and national chains. Donut King in Eufaula Alabama is in my top 3. The service is top notch. The donuts are incredibly delicious!!! Anyone who's passing through, or coming down on vacation, Donut King needs to be on your list of must go to places. I will give you a heads up though, get there early because they do sell out pretty quickly.

Amazing donuts! A friend of mine from Eufaula told me I had to stop and it was well worth it. Their donuts are so fresh and soft. These are not from a factory and you can taste the difference. Other donuts wish they could be like these. The employees were exceptionally nice.

It has been decades finding donuts like those made at a Donut Shop across from an elementary school I worked at and located in New Bedford Massachussetts in the early 90's. What a great find on our way to Panama City Beach. Fresh and moist donuts and giant size eclairs is all they had left....yum yum the same!??

These are hands down the best donuts I have ever put in my mouth. The first time I had them, we were staying at the lake. My mother-in-law got a box and told me they were better than Krispy Kreme. After taking my first bite, I wholeheartedly agreed with her. If I'm ever within 30-45 minutes of Eufala, I will always stop by and grab a box.

If I could leave this place zero stars I would. My wife asked a simple question and the attendant was rude and gave a smart a$$ response. Walked out immediately. I would like to thank the owner for responding. I cannot respond to the message but it was today (10/15/24) around 9:30am. There were two trays of chocolate donuts and my wife asked if there was a difference. The attendant flatly replied ?the tray.? The tone and entire approach were off putting.

The donuts were ice cold. I went back in to returnand I saw a microwave. I asked her to run them for a minute. She said no. I got a refund. This was the second time this happened. Will not return.

Was too early for lemon donuts but The Donut King came thru for me and gave me a cup of lemon filling to dip my donuts in! Love the creative mind that thought to do so just to make me happy! Donuts were super fresh and melted in your mouth, too!

An incredibly special place. My groom's "cake" ten years ago was made out of their donuts, after having frequented this place growing up & visiting my grandmother in Eufaula. I have eaten donuts all over the country and NOTHING comes close to this place! We live in Columbus 45 minutes away and still try and find a way to secure these donuts whenever and however we can!!!

My family and I have made several stops here in the last several months. Always fresh and delicious. We love the custard and white cream filled!

I never thought I would try a doughnut that rivaled Krispy Kreme, I did. All the doughnuts that I tried were good, but the cream filled was better than any that I've tried. It was the white cream not Boston cream or any of that stuff.

My favorite donuts since the 1960's when I was 5 years old. I was there on Sunday 2/4/24, the same quality and service for over 50 years! I bought 3 dozen...sorry no pictures, I ate them all before Youngstown Florida on my way to the Gulf of Mexico!

The donuts were so fresh they were still warm. Plenty of glaze and filling! They were even good 2 days later and I don?t usually waste calories on day old donuts! Easily the best donuts around!!! You can?t beat these fresh homemade donuts. The owners/staff here are always so nice and friendly, it feels like home when you walk in. My dad grew up going here when he lived in Columbus and we always drove past this place on the way to the beach as kids but never stopped until a few years ago. Now we stop each summer when we make the trip down! You gotta try the classic glazed donut and donut holes and the lemon filled donut. A great small business to support!!!!

I don't usually post reviews BUT the donuts here are SO GOOD. My husband & I stopped here for the first time, we go by here alot coming/going to Destin FL. Many times we have thought of stopping, boy am I glad we finally took the time to check it out! We will definitely be stopping again. Even 2 days later the donuts are still good. ??

The reviews are amazing! (Which is why we stopped) We are traveling, I guess this is the only donut shop in the state? Its....well a donut I guess. Cinnamon twist = bread no cinnamon taste at all, you can see it though so unsure how that works. Most donuts are inconsistent: 2 chocolate donuts, 1 had alot, the other barely any. I mean it's okay and cost is cheap so it's not a big deal. Cross that off the list.

The Donut King, WHEN you can get the donuts (because they sell out of everything quickly ??) is and has always been a taste above the rest. I haven't had a donut there yet that I didn't absolutely enjoy! ?? People come from miles around for their tasty treats. If you haven't experienced eating the delectable treats of this establishment, you most certainly need to stop by and give it a try. My advice to you is to come EXTREMELY early or else there may not be much left!!!!

The donuts here are always delicious. Golden on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The sweetness of the donut is balanced and is not overwhelming. There is sometimes a line out the door but it is always worth the wait. The grab bags of donut holes are always tempting.

Parking is terrible, but so worth it. They are fast, friendly, cheap and GOOD. Donuts are iced when you order them. So filled with custard they're heavy. Some of the best chocolate icing we've ever eaten. Donuts melt in your mouth and the custard is thick and flavorful. So happy we waited out the parking till a spot opened.

My family and I have been on the hunt for a donut place that is good. We decided to make the 35min drive to Donut King, and we are thrilled we did. Their donuts are big, soft, and delicious. The lady helping us at the counter gave samples to us since it was our first time there. They were fast, efficient, and friendly. Definitely recommend this place :)

Prices have gone up, which is to be expect with the current economy. However i loved their donut holes but the size is smaller and the batter is heavier making the donuts not as flavorful. Well at least I won't have to stop there anymore. Not worth the stop like it was before.

This little donut shop has delicious donuts and an awesome staff! We stopped at donut king on our way to Florida, and we made a great breakfast choice! The donuts were warm and fresh, and the coffee was hot and ready! Definitely some of the best donuts we have ever had!

It is not like the community of Eufaula needs my endorsement, but the Donut King is an experience for locals and travelers. Although the space is tight and crowded, the food selections are plentiful and the staff is always friendly. The donuts are humongous and absolutely delicious. This place...has the best darn donuts that can be had! Fresh and available until they are sold out. The fillings are not skimped on. There is plenty of jelly or creme in that type of donut.

I'm an Atlanta to PCB traveler: 1st...Best donuts in the galaxy 2nd... They changed the donut holes. They are not good. Old way of making them was worth the money. 3rd... Of the 5 times I have traveled to PCB in the last 2 years, I was able to get donuts twice (that's 10 trips by Donut King). I went during normal business hours every time. Been coming to & through Eufaula for years & never knew this place existed until recently. Today was my first ever visit to the store. I was not disappointed. I arrived about 45 minutes before closing time so they didn't have much of a selection left because they're a small business and only cook a certain amount each day. Got 2 bags of donut holes to bring home & they were amazing. I'll definitely swing by earlier next time so I get to see their larger selection & try something else.

We were told that King donuts has the best donuts in the world. I had to give it a try. We mentioned it was our first time and we were given a sample of their glazed donut. If this is what heaven taste like, I'm not sinning anymore! Donuts were fresh and melted in my mouth. I've had long johns before but this one was filled from front to back and cover with a layer of thick chocolate. I'm adding this to my "must visit list" next time I come south.
