Absolutely blown away by The Dutchman! This sandwich is the real deal, perfectly grilled chicken, crispy bacon, and fresh, crunchy lettuce all packed into a soft hoagie roll that holds everything together like a pro. The flavors were clean, hearty, and seriously satisfying. The bacon added just the right amount of smoky saltiness, and the chicken was juicy and well-seasoned. You can tell they care about their ingredients. Bonus points for the generous portion, this thing is loaded! If you?re even remotely

Stumbled across this donut shop while getting my daughter a smoothie. We returned 2 more times while on our trip. Very good donuts and bagels. Tell them it?s your first time visiting and see what happens?.

Husband and I were next door for a doctor's appointment and noticed you guys, husband didn't want to come in, but I'm glad my sweet tooth got the better of me! We got an apple fritter from your Porters Neck location and my husband said "it's the best thing I've ever eaten in my life"!!! Will definitely stop in every time we are in the vicinity, whether it's Porters Neck or Military Cutoff!

First time trying Donut Inn. Loved it. My toddler got a chocolate cake donut and stuffed it in his face. Workers are incredibly friendly. Steady flow of people at 9am on a Wednesday. Bagel sandwich was perfect.

Amazing food! Sandwiches, burritos, and their donuts are amazing! It's definitely worth a try. Donuts are fresh and so good! Yummy flavors too!

The donuts were good, though be aware that if you order a raised yeast donut with icing on it, and not glaze, it?s likely to be on the sweet side. I ordered one alongside a glazed sourdough. Both were good but the sourdough was the better of the two from my perspective. The employees were nice and patient with us. The atmosphere left a bit to be desired as there was a group of older men in the shop having their social hour and spouting their political beliefs for all to hear.

Food is great, but every time I get it, I remember why I only come here maybe once a year. Wait time is ridiculous! Im not sure they can cook more than one item at a time. Had to online order through door dash bc its their only option besides clover. Placed the order 45 minutes ago (said ready in 15-20, arrived at 25min). Only 2 customers in house when I got there. Also overheard staff bashing on Door Dash people while I waited. All I did was walk in & tell them my name, & was told order wasn?t ready. Curre

I always take mine to go. This is the ONLY place I want donuts from. They are quality and quantity. You may think the price is high, but it's the same as other places and these donuts are huge! And delicious! Great coffee too!

Love your doughnuts but was sold out when we got there before noon today at both locations. What a missed opportunity! You all need to plan better. You sell out of my favorites far too often. You all need to incorporate more advanced planning based on historical sales of specific varieties. No donuts mean no $$. Too many left over is a loss! Sorry for preaching but we want your bakery to flourish!

Staff was very friendly, fast, and gave great recommendations. My breakfast sandwich was *awesome* the bacon is thick and cooked perfectly + the croissant it came on was seriously good. Cant recommend the glazed croissants enough/it was my first time ever having them. I have fairly high standards for donuts and I?d recommend using the microwave to heat any donuts up. Definitely get glazed croissants 10/10.

Donut Inn is our favorite doughnut and breakfast sandwich shop! The doughnuts are always fresh and amazing! Our favorites are the sour cream and the blueberry. I've tried a ton of flavors over the years and all of them turn out great. And their breakfast sandwiches always come out so fresh and perfect. My favorites are the biscuits and the croissants. Love this place!

Go here! The donuts, wraps and sandwiches are so good! I love the frosted croissants, we can?t get enough of them. But on top of the food, the people are simply awesome! Kris and Gina are amazing and will make your day! If you need something deliciousness in your life Donut Inn is your place. Eric H

I pass by here twice a week going to physical therapy, but either I am too rushed or they are closed by the time I leave. Today I gave myself extra time to stop before therapy, and it did not disappoint. I am on crutches and the lady that helped me at the counter also offered to carry out my purchase to my vehicle as well. I've only been able to try two of my items so far, but they were amazing. Most places I've been to are very lightweight donuts with not much to them. These donuts are quite the oppo

Went with my husband late one Saturday morning, and it took forever to order (and by that I mean we probably spent 5+ mins contemplating our order, and he had time to use the restroom and come back before we placed it)...and there was only one other couple in front of us this whole time. When we finally did order, everything was ready quickly. The latte I ordered was very good and paired well with some of the donuts. At other donut shops, my go-to is usually a long john or Boston cream, so we tried both. T

Homemade bagels? Yes please! We enjoyed our fresh bagel, blueberry donut, and key lime donut this morning. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, and lots of goodies to choose from.

first time trying this place, and i was not disappointed! tried apple cider and chocolate fluff donuts, plus an apple fritter. the fritter was a little overcooked, it was dry and a darker color than a normal fritter - but still had a nice flavor. both of the donuts were delicious. the chocolate fluff was the perfect donut to frosting to fluff ratio! service was quick, and the staff was friendly. i will certainly be back!

I honestly cannot wait to try everything on this menu. It?s now one of my favorite spots. The donuts are huge and priced fairly. They also have great tasting sandwiches. I loved the customer service and was impressed with how well everything was cooked. Everything was cooked or baked to perfection.

The food is amazing! I live a hour away so for the first time trying this, I highly recommend visiting. The staff is nice and sweet, and even offered a free donut. I got the Boston Cream and the donut was so big and worth its cost. The place was warm and felt like I was at home. 10/10

Donuts are ok. Latte was horrible. Had zero froth, tasted like they poured watered down warm milk to drip coffee. Sausage in breakfast sandwich was cold in the middle. Won?t be coming back.

I ordered online with delivery as an option only to find out they don?t deliver. Food was great! Sausage egg and cheese biscuit and a sausage egg and cheese croissant. Both were tasty! The strawberry glazed yeast was decent but I did not enjoy the lemon, it was a bit dry. Overall, I liked the experience.

Substantial donuts served up in a giant pizza box. Great breakfast sandwiches/bagels. Lately, however, the service has been poor, the wait is long despite only one patron in front of me and the donut quality has suffered.

Although a little over priced, this used to be a go-to pick up for us. Second time in 2 weeks that everything has been burned to a crisp. The service is not as good or as fast anymore either.

The donuts are really good. Always fresh and delicious. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing!

New to the area so I go somewhere different to try new restaurants. Wanted an apple pastry so I decided to drop in and see what they had. Got an apple fritter that was huge. Warmed it up in the microwave there for 15 seconds; recommend going 20-25 seconds. The fritter was delicious with plenty of apple filling inside the dough. Try one out.

Donuts and coffee were very good. We got a chocolate sprinkle, lemon filled and apple cider and were happy with all 3. The lemon donut was HUGE and lots of filling. Alot of options were sold out but that was expected since we came at end of day but they still had 3 of our favorites. Only complaint is the staff was not friendly at all. No greeting, thank you or have a nice day even when I was friendly. May have just been tired at end of day but expected a little more. Good stop for donuts.

Great Customer Service. Must go as early as you can to have more variation of donuts to pick from. What we can choose from at 11am Sat is still pretty good selection, including Donut of the day but some of the donut flavors were already sold out! They even marked the floor for 6ft of social distance currently in effect.

These are the best donuts in have ever had. Listen, do yourself a favor...go there now. I was just as surprised as you that Wilimington would have something so delicious...but here they are. They also serve breakfast sandwiches and do lunch. You won't be disappointed.

Edit 11/27/23: When I was visiting from Raleigh, I was sure to go back for more doughnuts. They are delish. The glazed & vanilla fluff are favorites of mine. 2/2023: The doughnuts are really tasty, and they are big! Personally, I prefer the yeast doughnuts. The breakfast sandwich was just so-so.

Really amazing spot. I love coming here every time I?m in Wilmington. The quality of the food never disappoints. This trip I ordered ?The Bomb? minus the egg.

Made a custom sandwich and it was great! Good selection of traditional donuts that are super tasty. Enjoyed the coffee. This is an awesome cafe, and easy for breakfast on the way to the beach :)

Very cool shop. Donuts were fresh and delicious. Service was very slow ( it was not busy, maybe 3 customers), and our breakfast sandwiches were missing their eggs. Unfortunately we had already left before we checked our food. I would be willing to try it again as the food we got was yummy, and we might have a chance at getting a different staff rotation that would make the experience top notch.

The young lady working today, Sunday August 13th, was very rude. She didn?t greet us and continued to speak with a worker from the vegan restaurant a few doors down. She was praising anarchy and didn?t separate the donuts. She just threw them in the bag. There was a sign still out stating BOGOF. She wasn?t going to honor it because it should have been taken down the previous evening, not my fault! Thankfully a young man working there honored it and was A LOT more respectful than this young lady. Sad!

Popped in to see the donut selection and was greeted by the warmest smile and most hospitable personality ever. Mercer adds a special energy to the Donut Inn, and she made me feel more than welcome and happy on a cloudy Wednesday morning. Cannot wait to bring back friends to enjoy delicious donuts and breakfast specials.

Very nice donuts. The fried glazed croissants are the showstopper. Unfortunately the service is very slow for anything other than the donuts.

Best donut shop in the area. Great donuts, breakfast sandwiches, awesome selection of coffee, and super friendly staff. Every time I'm in Wilmington in the morning I make it point to stop by. They're all around superb.

Great vibes, delicious food, special locally-owned touch, and the pinnacle of donut perfection! If you're looking for the best donuts in Wilmington, the state of NC, or quite possibly the entire US, look no further. I stopped by The Donut Inn with friends for lunch and we were all blown away by this place. Wide variety of fresh-delicious donuts, made to order hand crafted sandwiches & wraps, and incredible coffee & specialty coffee options that will beat out your favorite coffee shop. The owners are local

Dined in twice so far and both times EXCEPTIONAL! Boston creme and classic chocolate covered sprinkled donuts were out of the park. Staff is super friendly and seem to have a local connection to everyone that walks through the door. Great stop for a coffee ?? or an outside patio sit down with the family or a lighy lunch meeting. Highly recommend ??

So just stopped in to try these donuts on vacation and received not only the some of the best donuts that I have ever had, but the absolute best hospitality! Great personalities and wonderful service. Will definitely be a stop when we come back!!!

Really awesome donut shop! Evergthing here was great, I highly recommend coming here if you are nearby!

I?ve had their donuts as a gift from a business vendor twice and liked them, but I should have investigated thoroughly before making the trip myself. First attempt, I didn?t realize they would close so early on a Saturday and got there a little after 3. Second attempt, got there around 11 on Saturday morning and they were already sold out of half the flavors, including basic vanilla fluff, which was what I wanted most, of course. Decided to just skip it and keep enjoying them whenever they are gifted. Also,

First time visiting and I was really disappointed. There was parchment paper stuck to my breakfast sandwich and hair in my food. I don't think I'll be going back. Employees were really nice though.

The place looked fantastic and the donuts melt in your mouth and taste delicious, one thing for me though is I found the Donuts being a little bit dry but besides that it was a good experience.

The woman behind the counter was SO energetic and happy to please and help people in line get hot coffee while waiting. The bagels & donuts there are one of my favorites anywhere (as rated by an ex-NYer.) I have noticed the quantity of eggs has reduced over the years but what hasn't lately with shrink-flation. My daughter raved about the fresh vegetable chunks in the vegetable cream cheese: delicious!!

The donuts are amazing!! The bagels are delish and so is the coffee!! We went twice this past weekend. We will be back.

Donuts were delicious but apparently you have to go early. Most donuts were sold out by the time I got there around 1pm. I am from out of town so didn't know!

Fantastic experience at the donut inn. The staff was great to deal with and my kids loved them. The donuts were the best I?ve ever had. Excellent decision to go get breakfast!

Maybe one of the best donuts ever. Love this place and the people who work there. Always very friendly right up to the owners, who will even work the register!

Exceptional Service and Custom Creations at Donut Inn! I recently had the pleasure of working with Donut Inn for my daughter's 7th birthday celebration, and I cannot express enough how impressed I am with their exceptional service and creativity. Connor and Gina at Donut Inn truly went above and beyond to make my daughter's birthday memorable. We had the idea of a custom donut hole tree for the party, and not only did they embrace the concept with enthusiasm, but they executed it flawlessly. The attentio

Nope. Went for a bagel with butter and a donut. Donuts were old with little frosting. Ordered a bagel with butter, woops almost no butter. Also forgot to give me the bagel in the bag, didn't notice til I got home to toast and butter the bagel I ordered that got next to nothing.

Made Fresh Daily. Yum! The sand which looked amazing but I didn?t try one

My boyfriend and I stopped in here on vacation after an unfortunate trip to the urgent care across the street and it was the most enjoyable experience we have had at a restaurant in this area. The customer service was amazing, the woman who took our order and made our coffee had the best energy. We got our food to go and it was piping hot and delicious when we got home. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Came here for breakfast one day ordered to BLT and added turkey to it took 20 minutes to get it didn?t have turkey on. It went back in and asked for them to add turkey to the sandwich because it was supposed to have it give it back to me with one slice complete BS

We had been going here for years ( since they started) and hadn?t been back for a year or so due to family illness. Went today and atmosphere has changed. Instead of 3 or 4 people behind the counter with the owner there and you could see and hear them cooking in the back, now it?s one or two people with what looks like a limited fare. The girl that waited on us was so hyper that she paced from one end of the counter to the other while taking our order. We mentioned we wanted an omelette ( which they made r

They serve bfast too! Everything?s so yummy. The staff and owners are amazing people. You will not be disappointed.

I showed up at 2:15 the other day and the girl that served me ( brunette with glasses ) was such a sweetheart ?? They have the best donuts I've ever had and their coffee is great too!

Very good selection of doughnuts. Make sure you get there early though or your choices will be more limited! ??

Great donuts! Always nice to get a treat for the kids while on vacation.

Stopped in here several years ago and pretty sure we enjoyed, so wanted to try again. Had the pimento cheese biscuit which was extra hard. The bagel with egg and sausage, pretty bland. Sour cream donut was just ok. Unfortunately we won't return

Great food! Affordable and friendly staff. Would give more stars if i could :)

The Donut Inn has the best donuts!! And sandwiches. We always stop everytime we head into Wrightsville beach!

My girlfriend and I visited while in vacation and it was absolutely wonderful, there were so many good looking options to pick and choose from. The coffee was great, the staff was so personable and fun with such a great energy. We got food to go and it was still warm and delicious by the time we got home. 10/10 will be back

We LOVED our experience here today! We have been long time lovers of the donut inn but we came today knowing they?d be pretty busy- and they were! Despite it being rush hour (noon on a Sunday), the entire staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. One staff member, Phil, went above and beyond giving us the last maple donut he was bagging up for himself but instead allowed us to have it. That is true service in our eyes! They also went to great lengths to make it up to a customer whose order got taken by

They have a great deal on apple fritters as part of the dozen assortment. The fritters were crispy, filled with apple pieces, and the service was excellent.

Good donuts always worth a stop when I visit Wilmington. Can get really busy. They were very low on donuts by 9am. I recommend getting there early.

We were referred here by my mother-in-law and I must say, this place is incredible. The friendly banter and hospitality greets you as you walk through the door and lasts your entire stay. This was our first visit and the array of in-house prepared donuts was quite the variety! Allen, the co-co-owner, personally took our order and even threw in a bonus for our son as a first visit complimentary donut! The donuts were delicious and my wife enjoyed her coffee as well! We look forward to trying their breakfast

The biggest and freshest donut I have ever eaten. It took me 3 days to eat it and it was still fresh on the third day. The servers were very friendly, helpful and patient

My first visit and the girl at the counter behaved as if I was bothering her. She just dropped a bunch of cups and was very irritated and took it out on me. I use the restroom and told her the bathroom had no paper towels and she said she would get to it next thing I know she?s just standing at the counter doing nothing, I will never visit again

Food is good. Front staff friendly. However, need to warn people you are the slowest donut/bagel shop in town. 45 minutes is standard for a cooked order to-go at this location. Back/kitchen staff YELLING at customers that the wait of 45 minutes being normal was the rude element that sent me here just to post a this review. Just be nice! Especially when you?re clearly not doing an efficient job in the kitchen. S&L, Round, The Pointe, etc deserve all of your business instead.

I took my niece while we were in Wilmington on vacation and we loved this place. We ordered bagels, biscuits and donuts (we wanted to try everything!), as well as an apple fritter the size of your head. We enjoyed it all. As I was inside putting milk in my coffee, I mentioned to the gentleman helping me that it was our first time there and he insisted I take a free glazed croissant. It was delicious!

These folks make the best donuts I have ever eaten. That's saying a lot because I really like donuts. The donuts are huge and melt in your mouth. I don't know what they do differently with their chocolate but it tastes amazing (so does everything else). They also have a great breakfast and lunch menu, again, with great food. The donuts are a little more than most donut places but they are huge. You definitely get your money's worth. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. Heck, if I was diabetic, I

Amazing food, fresh donuts, welcoming staff, definitely coming back <3

Visiting from out of state and the staff was very friendly. Food was amazing. Best bagel breakfast sandwich I?ve ever had. On top of it service was very fast while being cooked to order.

This place does not get enough credit for having some of the best bagels in town! Their donuts are great, but we've tried 3-4 other bagel shops and Donut Inn has my fav bagels too! The owners are super nice and threw free samples in our bag our first few visits. If you're looking for donuts, I recommend the Sour Cream and Mini Apple Fritter (there's nothing mini about it FYI). I will say that I'm not a huge fan of their lattes and if you want a Starbucks type coffee experience with your bagel or donut, then

Super nice staff! We ordered a breakfast sandwich and 4 donuts. Then decided to get one of their awesome baseball tees, which came with a free half dozen of donuts! THEN, as we were leaving, they tried to give us another free donut for our wait which was only about 5 mins! We loved the donuts and sandwich, and enjoyed our experience with these guys. Thanks!

I hate to even right this review. Unfortunately my kids love donuts so I?ve taken them a couple times here?and while the donuts are good my experience with anything else breakfast related has been very poor. The ingredients are mediocre at best (very pre frozen meats). Both times I?ve been, my order has been messed up. This morning I ordered a burrito and they didn?t even put eggs in it as it?s shown on the menu. When I showed them, the individual asked me ?if I wanted it remade??of course I do- it didn?

We decided to try this place out as it was next to our son's barber, and we were pleasantly surprised! Not only are the donuts -- and other food -- great, but the atmosphere is quaint and inviting, and the prices are quite reasonable. The Donut Inn is definitely worthy of a try. They serve a great breakfast!

Their old fashion cake glazed sour cream is the best old fashioned donut, and it is huge. Two to three times larger than other places, and it is absolutely delicious. They also serve small sandwiches & coffee. They are definitely worth visiting if you are anywhere near by.

Fabulous! Had a stingray wrap. So good. Donuts to die for! Everyone so nice.

Absolutely love this place! Best donuts in town!!!! Always fresh, great stuff. I work in Landfall and often people bring them to us :) I stopped buy this morning to try there Bagels and they were of course amazing, fresh out the oven !!! Just wish owner open one more location, some where closer to Carolina Beach or Monkey Junction area.

What an amazing experience!!! I was in Wilmington on a business trip and stopped to pick up some donuts for the office and breakfast for myself. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their delicious donuts. Alan, one of the owners greeted me and made everyone feel like guest in his home. He really goes the extra mile to make his regulars and his first time customer (like me) feel like old friends. Definitely not a spot to be missed in Wilmington.

Stayed in Wilmington for Spring break and was told about this place and tried it out one morning! BEST donuts we have ever had! The atmosphere was great, talked with a gentleman and his son that worked there and they were awesome and super friendly, meet one of the owners so down to earth and helpful! Would recommend to everyone, if your in the area you have to check this place out!

My mother and I spent some time trying to decide on a place to sit down and eat breakfast. We were hoping for a resturant with a cafe setting and some decent food. The donut inn definitely delivers. It is the perfect little place if you want some coffee and breakfast food (Their donuts are great too!). The service was wonderful and I was greeted, by every worker with a warm smile - even the kitchen staff! Alan and the young lady up front made sure we were well taken care of. We hope to make this a regular S

I did not have a good experience at the Donut Inn. I ordered ahead because I expected a wait on a Saturday morning. The online ordering system kept removing items from my order and I did not end up with the sandwiches I ordered. Then, when I arrived, I was told the oatmeal I ordered was unavailable. I was offered a gift card instead of a refund. Then, when I arrived home, I unwrapped an extremely crumbled and dry side order of bacon- like old bacon bits. I will note the donuts I ordered were good, but not g

I just had a really disgusting experience. I used to come here with my daughter previous to covid and we loved it. My bagel order was taken wrong and I received a soggy sloppy mess of egg and cream cheese that I had to cut with a fork and a knife. It has really gone downhill.

A few months ago I walked into an animal hospital and noticed a golden glaze of donuts in a pizza box. This oddity spiked my interest and I inquired where these donuts were crafted. I was informed and as the months past I dreamt of having these donuts. Finally, my dreams have come to fruition and I devoured these delightful tasty treats. Also, their Customer service is great! Giving a free donut to any new customer is a nice touch to the already great experience when you walk into The Donut Inn.

Good donuts and good variety of flavors. Not my favorite in town, but just my personal opinion.

The best donuts we have ever had! They're huge, great vairety and delicious. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of non-stop donut food options as well. Really friendly staff. Don't miss this place!

Four years so far I've been going here fairly consistently (still not fat). I'm into donuts and tried them all over the world. Donut in is easily the best in Wilmington. Long lines at this location because locals know how good it is. It's also next door to a smoothie place. I get a donut and smoothie for a nice treat yo self day. They are getting carried away with sandwhiches which are ok but not a reason to eat here. Need to concentrate on what makes them special and do a few things really well. Like real
