The Donut Cafe

Came here by chance - the actual best donuts and kolaches I've had in a long time. Tastes like home. The owner is so nice and you can tell he puts a lot of thought into every detail. The coffee is GREAT. Like not just "donut shop" coffee, it's delicious. If you like sweet coffee try The Prestonwood or the Vietnamese Iced Coffee.

I work near this cafe and finally stopped in this morning and I'm so mad that I waited this long! These were the best donuts I've had and they remind me of the donuts my Dad got me as a kid in St. Louis. A simple glaze and an old fashioned, they were sooo good! I live on the South Side and cannot wait until I head back to work on Tuesday to get more of these delectable delights!

Great service! Exceptional food and beautiful decor. Too bad I?m limited to only 5 stars. From the moment I walked in the owner greeted me and was extraordinarily helpful answering any and all of my questions about the different types of donuts. And on that subject, these were the fluffiest most melt in your mouth delectable donuts I think I have had since I moved to Texas. I grew up in New Orleans and it?s pretty hard to beat caf? DuMond beignets. But I think this place runs a close second if not tied for

I just stopped in for a quick bite. It?s 11:30am and my glazed donut was soft and delicious. Not generic like some other places. Give them a try you won?t be disappointed.

This little gem in Houston is a must-visit! The atmosphere is charming, the coffee is amazing, and the kolaches and donuts are absolutely delicious. My mom was torn between a blueberry donut and a cinnamon roll, and ultimately chose the blueberry donut, which she absolutely loved. To our delight, the owner generously brought out a large cinnamon roll for us to try for free. It was so thoughtful! I will definitely be coming back.

I do fire safety for a living so I have many well known donuts shops as regular customers. That said, these guys are the cream of the crop. No one, and I mean no one, has better donuts in the business. From the moment you enter the store you can tell this place is different. He has taken the time to create a warm atmosphere not only in decor but with courteous and engaging staff members. I prolly eat donuts 3-4 days a week, each time its from a different shop. What can I say, I came all the way from LA because I heard about the amazing donuts, coffee and atmosphere! You must get the Boudin kolache the bread is sweet with the smoky and spicy flavor of the boudin. 10/10! Omg and the HONEY BUTTER CHICKEN so sweet and buttery! THEY PUT RANDYS DONUT TO SHAME!!! Oh and black owned!!! Can?t wait to come back again!!!!

Ever since I discovered this place on my way to work, I love it. The donuts are always fresh, customer service is always A1.

This is our local donut shop and we love it! The food is always fresh and so tasty! The staff is friendly and helpful! The shop itself has a really cool laid back vibe and is really a place we love to swing by! They support our local swim team and are such a big part of our neighborhood events! We are lucky to have them!

I love the atmosphere when you go in. We needed a place like the Donut Cafe. However it is a bit frustrating when you say you open until 1 pm... but when I went there a few times around 12:15 you guys were closed. Not just from me but from neighbors as well. Today 1/30/25 around 8:30 this morning I went for Donuts and coffee at the Donut Cafe spent $31 and change. I figure catch them early they'll be open and the donuts freshly made and hot. This place is awesome!!! Even though they close at 1pm we were still able to come in for. Coffee and doughnuts. Doughnuts were great. Check this place out. It will not disappoint!!!

Exceptional taste in decor and food. Very welcoming atmosphere with friendly people to greet you. They are always adapting with their regulars and neighborhoods. They have amazing coffee and personally I love their iced churro latte. Definitely worth the trip every time.

Fantastic Place! Such lovely decor, SUPER nice staff. A friendly young man made my churro latte and it was perfect. Donuts are so so good, and the Cinnamon roll was outstanding....like wow, best thing ever. This place is so lovely, I will be proud to support them as much as I can.

This place has never failed me when it comes to their food, especially their sausage and jalape?o kolaches. That perfect blend of dense and savory and slightly sweet is just the best. The fact that they use actual sausage instead of going for the cheaper hotdog option is a big thing for me and I appreciate that. I took my best friend here for her birthday breakfast and we were amazed at how fresh and yummy the coffee and glazed donut were. The warm donuts were served to us in a basket. An upscale donut shop for sure. The owner was there and was super nice! Highly recommend! We?ll definitely be back!

They have a churro coffee here that is WOW love at first taste! The BEST donuts because there is something about their chocolate. We discovered them last weekend, and they feature local artists ?? Everything about this place is awesome. It?s 456 and I?ve been waiting for them to open for an hour because nothing compares to this place.

I was so delicious, big and fresh. The bacon, egg, and cheese croissant was absolutely divine thick cut bacon, not too cheesy and the croissant was deliciously fluffy.

I got the sausage egg and cheese croissant, the bread was doughy , not cooked enough and the sausage was burnt, terrible tasting sandwich, 2 bites and threw in out ,I won?t be back. But the guy who checked me out was ok.

The server was very helpful by providing me a recommendation when I wasn't sure what to order. I left with two kolaches, an iced coffee with dulce de leche, and a free donut. The kolaches were very good and I enjoyed the iced coffee very much.

My favorite stop kolaches,donuts and breakfast tacos. Try their salsa it is delicious. I recommend this place for breakfast.
