Excellent breakfast, although you have to go before 11 am to get hash brown potatoes. The diced ones are just as good. I had the huevos rancheros with a side of sausage. They were awesome. This place is a must! Great service from a great staff. The place is clean and comfortable. UPDATE! 8-26-2023, Great everything...breakfast / brunch. We LOVED everything! Our bakery goods were fantastic! Probably the best sweet roll I've ever had! The balance of flavors perfect! The burrito was so satisfying, the red chili sauce so good! I would eat here every day if I could! Great service too! ??

First time trying this place and it was ok, my son loved the breakfast burrito and I order breakfast plate. The only thing I didn?t like was the cappuccino, machine cappuccino doesn?t taste good and was too sweet. Other than that, everything else was fine.

We met friends here for breakfast, and boy was it worth it! Everything was delicious and of course added green chile infusion. The library exchange is a great idea, and I look forward to winter when they start up the wood burning stove.

Best apple fritter I?ve ever tasted!! This is a cute place with good food. We had a basic breakfast (omelets, bacon, scrambled eggs and sour dough toast). Came back the next day to pick up pastries. Apple fritter is amazing. Chocked full of tender apples, delicious glazed crust, perfection, in my opinion. Patio seating is lovely. If you get ?to go? pastry items, be sure to buy extra, you won?t regret it!

An old friend of mine recommended this place to my family we finally stopped in Oct and again yesterday for lunch the food and service are excellent. I would highly recommend this place if your visiting the area.

Hands down, one of the BEST Breakfast meals I?ve ever had!!! I ordered the Pancake combo, which only comes with one pancake, but you can order an extra on the side if you?d like. Their pancakes were pretty big, but delicious nonetheless! 10/10 if you?re ever in Angel Fire, I highly recommend!

Loved the food. Get the beef fajitas the meat is expertly seasoned. Staff was attentive and friendly even with a full house.

Reminds me of an ?eh? diner. Went for breakfast after asking around. This is also off season. Two adults and a three year old. Service was ?meh?. Had to restore order several Times. Wrong drinks came out. Ordered basic hasbrkwbs and pancakes, and kids stuff. Portions were small and taste wasn?t exciting. The donuts etc looked good, but never checked on, food was eh, service was eh and not worth the $20+ per person we spent. Sorry.

We had a group of ten . They got us seated at a long table and a 4 person table. The food was good and the bakery items were good. Everyone was full when we left and some food was left over. Ski season was over so not to many people came in but some came just for bakery items. This is an older building but comfortable. The wood stove added warmth to a cold day and it added a nice atmosphere. They have a little library place down by the stove.

Highly recommend! Had a group of 11, and everyone was satisfied. The fire burning was great for the ambiance. Reminded me of being at my great grandparents as a young lad. Everyone had something different off the breakfast menu and ate till we were full. Staff was friendly, and they had great music playing in the background. Should definitely plan on giving it a try.

I came here bc of the reviews and photos. I ordered Mexican food and it was very dull and basic. Not many desserts available like pictured in the reviews. I ordered posole soup as a side and it came out in a sample size plastic cup. When I asked if this is the normal size, the waiter was rude about it. He did end up bringing me a larger size. The pozole wasn?t even good. Nonetheless, customer service and food quality just wasn?t good to me.

French toast, oatmeal, pastries, eggs, bacon and hash browns were all prepared perfectly and served hot. The oatmeal portion was enough for two. It's a cozy, no-frills cafe, clean, tidy, and with a friendly, attentive staff.

There's a short, older lady at the front counter that was extremely rude. She was slamming silverware and coffee carafes around. Should've spent my money elsewhere. Took over 30 minutes to get my to go order. Will not be back, ever.

Place was not very clean. Service was not good. Food was really bad. Omelets were dry. Toast was stale. Salt/pepper shakers were very sticky when you use them. Jelly was very old. Rating is why I went there and I feel these ratings are made up. Way too expensive for what you get.

This place rocks! The service was better than excellent. They baked and decorated a birthday cake for us in little over an hour. It was a chocolate cake with a citrusie flavor, butter cream filling and covered with a double chocolate fudge. The cake was moist, not too sweet and not rich, just perfect! We also purchased a couple of breads,one brioche, and one black berry, both delicious. We highly recommend this bakery.

Kids loved the bacon. Our server was not the best. She never came to check if we needed refills, or anything else. We had to ask a different employee for help, but all that employee did was go look for our server and we had to wait another 10 minutes (and no the place was not packed at all)

Was ignored and basically refused service because we seated ourselves due to a helpful local greeting us at the door and suggesting to have a seat. This place used to be really good. I don?t know what they did but we were ignored when we walked in, the table we were told to sit at after I got their attention was so close to another table that only one person could sit on that side where there were 3 chairs, the waitstaff was not friendly and didn?t know what food they have, the menu is wrong and items listed on it don?t even come with the meals. The food was absolutely terrible and overpriced. The red/green sauce tasted from powder and tons of flour or corn starch. Meet a friend here for breakfast at 8:30. Sitting was sit available and we were promptly waited on, but think our order got lost. Waited a very long time and finally had to ask about our order. The Jason's Special burger was juicy and one of the best burgers I've had in awhile. The rest of my family enjoyed their meals as well. Friendly staff. We were unable to try the bakery section this visit. However, from overhearing other's orders, sounds like it would also be delicious.

I just left this place 2 min ago and I rarely write bad reviews but this place deserves the worst. I have never felt so robbed to hand any business my money. The two people upfront paid no attention to customers and were laughing amongst eachother. The bathroom was broken and I needed to wash my hands when they also had no soap. I eat here every time I am in the area! I feel guilty I am just now writing a review - because this place is really delicious - I always get a simple eggs, potatoes and cheese - very good! I can't fully review this Cafe. They were just about out of baked goods and we didn't eat breakfast there. But from the smells coming from the kitchen I wished we had! Possibly the worst breakfast we've ever had! Ordered the Herman's Plate. Very little sausage, probably one small link cut into several tiny pieces. The actual plate was piled with frozen, tiny diced, potatoes that were deep fried to the point where they tasted like wood pulp. The pile was obviously to make the dish look like it was worth the outrageous price of $11.49. Don't understand the high rating. We'll never eat there again!

One of the few places open year round. Go early, it gets crowded quick! I had the cinnamon roll French toast; yes, a cinnamon roll cut in half and dipped and grilled! Amazing! The bakery was also great for next morning treats.

I had the biscuit and sausage gravy and it was excellent. I finished off my whole plate and that never happens. The servers were super friendly. It's sad they have gotten bad reviews. I think they were busy this summer and short handed on workers. Don't let the negative reviews keep you from this good breakfast place!

Really not sure how it has a 4.5 rating, cashier is rude, food is awe full (ribeyes have a horrible rotten taste). Even the cashier (wish I would have gotten her name) older lady with shirt hair, stated they were not the best in town. The lady at the counter was beyond sweet - she really made for a lovely experience. Breakfast sandwich with crispy bacon and sourdough was just what I needed after a hike in the cold. The hot chocolate tasted like ?melted chocolate bars? per my partner. Great, cozy, no frills spot.

Stopped while driving the Enchanted Circle. Apple fritter and chocolate croissant were very good. Fritter wasn't greasy at all, which we have experienced at other bakeries. Worth the stop!

We ate here twice on our trip and the first time food and service were both great, but the second time we never even got our food. We finally gave up and went somewhere else. When we told the lady at the counter to please cancel our order (after waiting 30 minutes) she just shrugged.

This place was recommended by locals since we were visiting all the way from Houston.... we all ordered different things and noone was satisfied with what they ordered. The meat was chewy and tasted like it came out of a microwave. The french toast wasnt even cooked all the wa . The only good thing we tasted here was the toast and dr. It was cold in there but they had indoor seating. We got there right before 11 and we could do breakfast but no pancakes or French toast. Ridiculous!!! The food was ok, not spectacular at all. The staff was friendly but not too attentive, even for a small place. If you could eat somewhere else besides here, I would. I don't think we will be back unless it calls for desperate measures!!

PORTIONS ARE HUGE!!!. Wife and i got the "hand held" burrito's...what they meant is both hands required. Food is good and worth the little bit of a wait when the place is busy. We are in Angle Fire for our son?s birthday! We were snowboarded all day then went out and looked for a cake to celebrate. The bakery was closed but they let us in to buy a cake. The lady showed us a cake that was white and had skiers on it with little mounds of snow frosting. We tried to pay her for the cake and she said we could have it! Today was my second time coming here. Both times the lady at the front sees you then ignores you for awhile. However today when she went to get my food ready while coughing uncontrollably opens up each to go box. Completely disgusting even if covid wasn't a thing, however we live in these times so proper care is especially a big deal. This was a disappointment. The food was good, but the wait took over 45 minutes. They were also out of almost everything on the menu. I wouldn't recommend this if on a time crunch or are hoping for something off the menu.
