Terrel's Market

Terrel's Market

Reviews Summary

Terrel's Market is widely praised for its excellent bakery, deli, and friendly service, with many customers highlighting the fresh, high-quality baked goods like cinnamon rolls, eclairs, and donuts. The store offers a surprising variety of products, including gluten-free and vegan options, and maintains a clean, small-town atmosphere. However, some reviewers criticize inconsistent pricing, occasional overcharging, and issues with burnt bakery items or outdated products. While most appreciate the helpful staff and local charm, a few express frustration with high regular prices and occasional quality lapses in meat or baked goods. Overall, it’s a beloved local gem with minor drawbacks.

Oh boy do I wish there was an option close by besides terrels to shop at. This place STINKS. The prices are way more than they should be, but whatever it's a small town blah blah blah. Ive gotten baked goods that tasted like they had a cleaner or poison in them(wouldn't recommend). But the real travesty is the meat department, the butcher is horrible, the cuts are inconsistent and sloppy everytime I get anything. Also always check to make sure something isn't out of date, because its 50/50 whether it is or

I'm born and raised in Salt Lake City, but traveled out to Spring City for a wedding yesterday and spotted the eclairs and bought some to bring to the wedding. My family loved them so much they will be making the 2 hour drive back out there to get some more!

Terrels Market is the best food market in northern Sanpete County. Their bakery is second to none. Their produce is fresher than WM.

We only went because we had heard they have the best doughnuts in Utah. They are probably the best or tied for best in Utah.

My wife brought her ESA dog in who just became her ESA dog and we was unaware of the dogs can't be in the shopping carts, but the manager he came and yelled at us saying the dog can't be in the cart rather than asking nicely to remove it out of the cart, also didn't care that it was a ESA dog and still made us remove her from the store.... The manager was very rude and unprofessional how he went about stuff. And yes we had paperwork on us to show the dog was a true ESA. We also walked past almost every empl

We used to live in town and stop by often for groceries. The cute atmosphere, desserts, and our favorite, the caramel puffpopcorn in a bag. Love that stuff! So when we made a trip that way we had to stop in and buy a few bags....3 bags....would have been more but they took my wallet.

Terrell?s is a great, small town supermarket. They have pretty much everything you need, lots of friendly people working there, and everything is nice and clean.

They had my order of fresh donuts set aside but totally screwed up the birthday cake. I had asked to not put the sandals on the cake to put a Stitch toy in its place. But was missing the beautiful colors, flowers and palm trees.

Every Friday me and my family come and get breakfast here. We order some croissants, deli meat, and cheese to create our own sandwiches. Last week the lady working got kind of annoyed because my dad was taking a little long to decide so she got grumpy and told us to buy her premade ones. We didn?t think much of it. so then today one week later we go to order our normal stuff and it was the same lady and she told us we had to buy half pound minimum of each cheese and meat? which we were never told before. We

Charles is very convenient when you don't go to the other side of the mountain . They have almost everything you need.

I was impressed with Terrels' produce especially when we first moved here. That was over 7 years, and it's still very good. Upgrades in other Depts.too are very nice!! Great Store, with friendly, helpful people, especially Manager Blake & Tara, who keeps Candy selection supplied Top Shelf. Baked goods are phenomenal!! Thanks everyone!!

This store has a heck of a bakery and the seasoned meats the butcher offers up are off the charts good

Stellar Service and Charming Atmosphere. During my recent visit to Terrel?s Grocery Store, I was delighted to find everything I needed. Terrel?s is an inviting mom and pop atmosphere, making me feel right at home. The sweetest young gal named Haleigh graciously assisted me at the self-checkout, adding a touch of kindness and warmth to my shopping trip. Terrel?s inviting mom and pop atmosphere only enhanced the experience, making me feel right at home. I highly recommend Terrel?s for its superb customer serv

Love the food here it's definitely worth a drive to go shopping here

They've done some nice updates and remodeling in the last few months. Self checkouts. New deli and donut cases. The aisles were nice and clear this afternoon and shelves were full but organized. It was a good shopping trip. Cashiers are still hit and miss for friendliness.

Prices aren't as good as Walmart, but they have a real bakery, and their deli has real breast meat chicken stripes and homemade tartar sauce for dipping. They are really good.

Scott manages the store, and I assume he is a principal there because he's always polished and well-dressed. He runs a tight ship and is probably one of the kindest people. Food quality is excellent, and options are vast. I've lived all over the world, and this grocery store had everything I could ever want.

Awesome grocery store always have fresh veggies

There meat department needs to be condemned. I went in May 25 2024. Looking for some bacon I saw some that had a $2 off so I grabbed a couple and after Looking at them they had been expired over a week ago. So then I grabbed the one behind the ones I grabbed it had expired april 16th. The steaks where brown no red color at all. I will not be getting any meat from this place!

Very nice little grocery store. They make a lot of their own bakery goods and have some very cheap and tasty things.

If I could describe Terrell?s in one word, I would use PATRIOTIC. If you are looking to be bombarded by a king-sized display of red white and blue, Terrell?s is the place to go. God bless America ???? ??

Good selection for such a small town. Also, great bakery and deli!

Wonderful home town market place. Not quite as expansive as larger grocery stores, but is perfect for the surrounding towns. They have what you need as well as a great bakery filled with delicious baked goods and deli selections. I have enjoyed the small town hospitality that comes with visiting and will definitely be coming again soon.

We went down to Sanpete County for the weekend. I ordered a white cake for my daughter's birthday, we got a chocolate cake instead. The cake was dry. When I called Monday morning, the manager said they couldn't do anything about it without the cake, not only do we live over 1 1/2 hours away, I fed the cake to our dogs. All the guests at her party told us never to order cakes from Terrel's and that their bakery is not as good as it use to be. I agree with them on the cake. Hopefully they don't change th

I went in because chabani was on sale 10 for 10$ when I got to register the cashier said one of them wasn't on sale. Checked with front end supervisor told me same thing. Came in next day sale still on n found tag in front of same yogurt said it was part of sale. There were none leftBrought this to her attention, n she did n said nothing. Told the owner who offered to give 1 for free. I put it back. No concern for employee who didn't do her job no raincheck will never shop here instead. BTW almost every sal

Nice small town market. Don't have every thing, but close. Staff super friendly. Saves gas money rather than driving to big city.

I needed tp, the wife needed a Coke. They had both and the tp was on sale. If that's not a win win, I don't know what is. Bonus points for jalapeno and mint jam.

The bakery is the best!! They have fresh made everything. The glazed donuts are better than Krispy Cream. They make old-school cinnamon rolls with or without raisens, which are hard to find these days. They make a homemade tater sauce that can go on about anything. Their chicken strips are huge and juicy! Their scratch ecclairs are just the right texture, which are hard to find. If I go through Sanpete County, I stop at Terrels for their bakery goods ??????

Coming from out of town and stopping by to pick up food I was very happy with the baked goods, fresh fruit and meat selection here. We are going to stop by everytime we come back around.

Like that they have a decent amount of gluten-free options. Between Wal-Mart in Ephraim, the is the best alternate for groceries in the Northern Sanpete Valley.

Terrell's Market is a wonderful down home country Market. For a country Market they have a really good variety of fruit for each season that you would really not expect from a Market of Central Utah. Fresh baked pastries and donuts every morning with a deli that has fried chicken, chicken tenders, potato logs, egg rolls, burritos, pizza sticks, corn dogs and rotisserie chickens. Plus your assortment of salad's, deli meat, cheese and home made pizza. They have a small variety of gluten free foods from bread

I'm glad to have such a variety of great products, including some important to me better quality goods in a rural area where it's typical not to have such an array of choices. The prices are good, usually better than WalMart a couple towns away. They have a wide variety of produce that is carefully maintained, a bakery that makes great breads and beautiful baked goods. There's a lot more seafood than you'd expect, which is important to me. They even have a sushi counter, quite a luxury for a rural area.

Love the friendly staff. Caselot sales, seemingly lowest prices ever. Supporting a local business is definitely a plus. Just like anywhere else, you may find a lower price elsewhere.. but the quality is superior here, even the store brand Food Club has a lot I prefer to name brand foods.

Absolutely the worst customer service. I rented a shampooer on a Saturday and they told me to return in Monday morning. Showed up the return it at 11. And she?s fining me $35. Even tho a late fee is only $20. And nobody told me when to return it. Never rent from them. So unprofessional and unfriendly.

The prices are high, the bakery is fantastic, the employees are rude, and the General Tso chicken is so sweet it makes you sick. The best place in the county for donuts though. They also have a decent fried food display in the bakery. Most of it is palatable.

For being one of the only grocery stores in the area, it is a great place to grab something quick. They have a nice selection of snack food and treats. I highly recommend their peanut butter bars. I have family that will load up on these whenever they are in they area. Needless to say the bars rarely make it more than a few hours before they are all eaten.

Super friendly staff, the manager always makes it a point to say hi and will always help me find what I'm looking for. If they dont carry it, I make a suggestion and seriously within a week it's there! I like shopping local and saves me a trip to the big box store. I love their deli foods for a quick lunch/dinner...and now they have fresh sushi! So happy to be able to satisfy my craving without having to leave our beautiful valley. Thanks Terrel's.

The employees are the best and most helpful. A bagger noticed that my bagels had mold on them so he went to get me mold free bagels. Andrew the cashier always remembers that my husband doesn't like his deviled eggs bagged or squished.

I really like shopping here. The folks staffing this market are always friendly and helpful. I would rate them higher had I not recently heard a customer complain that the staff was using the bathrooms while wearing thier appron. This is a serious violation of the health code and a really good way to spread fecal matter throughout the store. I pray they remedy this so we can change the above rating to the 4 star they deserve.

everyone who i have interacted with presented themselves professionally and with a small town courteous vibe. the ?? sushi is amazing and every piece of meat was of the highest quality and cut. i tried secret shopping here a few times, but everything the vendors were looking for was always already displayed properly and in stock. ??

We come to Mount Pleasant from Utah County every summer. Terrel?s is a great small town market and has basically everything. The prices, as you would expect in a more remote area, are higher than they are along the Wasatch front.

We have a cabin about 15 miles from Mt Pleasant and Terrel's Market is where we go whenever we need supplies or groceries. Since it's fairly remote, you'd think you wouldn't be able to get much, but they've got a great variety, including great sushi! The spicy Utah roll is one of my favorites. I was also thankful that their employees were wearing masks during the pandemic. It makes me feel safer to shop there. Also, I was evacuated from my home a couple years ago because of a wildfire and spent a couple wee

It's a decent grocery store but rather high prices on items not on sale. We went in for turkey burgers but they did not carry any. That was disappointing. Some of the workers are super friendly while others, not at all.

I was in awe with the vast bakery selections they had probably 60 different types of baked good items. From iced cinnamon bread to Texas doughnuts and more! The staff was friendly, I went there to purchase glow sticks for a children's event they were 25 cents each :) for a store in a small community I was surprised to find that they sold that item for that cheap. Not all of their items were that underpriced the markup is very standard for a store in the middle of miles far and between.

Extremely over priced and that's understandable because it's the only place for groceries in the town. Amber is extremely rude

For a small town grocery store it was ok. The aisles were very tight and not room to maneuver. Their bakery looked yummy, but we did not purchase this time. We have loved their bakery in the past.

Staff are friendly. They have a surprising variety of products and food types, considering their size. The fresh black bean dip they added recently is a major surprise, and a delight! Keep it up, Terrell's!

The bakery is the best! If you live apple fritters, or eclairs you must stop! But don't be afraid to try their fried pies, or raisin squares!! ??

Prices are absolutely outrageous!!! In my opinion, the owner is a thief by charging these high outrageous prices and a liar by saying this store is a "thrift" store I can get better deals at a convenience store, any where Buyer beware ,be very aware Shop elsewhere

I love it.u might pay a little bit more 4 things but they always have what your looking 4 & them some.there fruit & bakery r ALWAYS fresh & everyone is so friendly

Terrels never fails to deliver their goods. I purposefully drive the long way to Sanpete County to just stop here and stock up on their baked goods. They are so good and worth the drive. The employees are helpful and cheerful and a nice overall feel to the entire store. Also very clean.

My twin girls were wanting a treat from the bulk candy area, and they didn?t even make it there before a kind young gal named Kait stopped them and presented a bucket of assorted candies for them to choose from. She then escorted them to the bulk candy and let them choose a piece for the road:) There was a deal going on for a certain type of bottled water, but the main spot where they were located was empty. I asked Dave, and he walked me to another location where they were. Then, as we were checking out, K

Grocery prices are a little high, but it's convenient to have a grocery store nearby. The sushi is surprisingly good. And the bakery is excellent.

Nice little hometown grocery store. Their bakery is the real highlight. Raison cookies and raspberry cheesecake cookies are soft and flaky. They provide a great rest stop for travelers in that area.

Great bakery except the guy baking now CANNOT make a raisin cinnamon roll without burning or extremely overcooking them... SAD because they literally HAD the best cinnamon rolls in the state. I took one star away because I've told a few managers that they need to fix the problem and it still continues. Bummer hopefully they'll read this take some action

Prices are a bit higher but they are very close by. Beats the 30minute-1hour drive to get to other larger supermarkets. Deli offers lots of hot and cold foods, and the bakery is excellent.

Terrel's is one of the best markets in Sanpete. Great selection of items and always clean. Also, I have an addiction to their deli/bakery. It's amazing.

I live close by, I get my prescriptions there. It's a down home country store. They have everything that a big box store has with better customer service, and very friendly and helpful workers!

Great grocery store - tons of options, especially the bakery section - yum! I've been traveling the country housesitting for 2.5 year and I think this has been my favorite grocery store I've ever come across!

Terrell's is my last stop when leaving mt pleasant. Fill up with snacks and water. The people there treat you like family. They have sub amazing assortment and selection for a small town grocery. I love the place.

Love Terrel's. The store is clean, the staff are friendly, the doughnuts are always great and it's just the best hometown store I can think of!

Nice little market. I was surprised at how many things were on sale. However the things not on sale are quite more than Walmart. Great produce section and I love their deli food and bakery cookies!

Terrel's always has very service oriented staff and a decent selection. Their sushi is nice, and their fruit and vegetables are very nice. The bakery is great but not very good for me...

Store is always Clean. Friendly helpfull associates , well stocked, hands on Management, rarely have to wait in checkout line. I love the 50s soundtrack! Beats the HECK out of any thing in SLC, where I'm from

My family and I look forward to our weekly trip to Mt Pleasant so that we can shop at Terrels. We love their in store bakery that is so good that it supplies baked goods to other grocery stores throughout Utah. The fantastic quality of the food combined with the wonderful customer service make Terrel's one of our favorite places to shop. We love the small town of Mount Pleasant, and we love the small town feel of Terrel's.

Has some things you just can't find at other stores in this rural area, but I'd quite expensive. BUT when there is a sale it is usually a really great deal! Friendly staff as well. I have encountered expired products here on the shelf (also the case ?5 at our local wal mart) so do be diligent v in checking the dates off your goods!

Terrells is a lovely, hometown store with the best raisin-filled cookies. They have everything you need for a trip up to a cabin or out camping in the woods. Their bakery, deli and other offerings make it easy to put together a meal on the road if passing through or to stock up on your family grocery needs.

Almost everytime I go to this store I get overcharged for something that is supposed to be on sale. This has gone on for years. I get tired of it. They do it on purpose I know they do. How can you screw up so much and it be an accident. They over charge for their normal stuff. The only reason i gave them 1 star is because i like their friendly staff, other than that I think their a Highway robbery store. It's just sad they take an advantage of people in a small town cause this is all we have besides Walmar

Terrel's Market is a Great Place to shop.. and, they have a wonderful staff, who are quite knowledgeable. Terrel's has an ample produce and fruit selection, with both regular and organic items, as well as ready made items. You must try their famous "Cowboy Caviar" to dip into with your favorite corn chips. Terrels has a great variety of Grocery items. The meat, frozen foods, and dairy items, will leave any shopper well pleased. The Bakery and Deli section gives ample choices of hot and cold foods, sandwiche

I live in Ephraim and I had to come up to Gunnison to do laundry. I had never been to this store before because I had always shopped at Walmart. I was very excited and happy with this store! They have more vegan options for food than at Walmart. They had more gardein options in the frozen section and they had daiya Mac and cheese! The only place I can find these is at a Whole Foods. Their produce section is beautiful as well. It looks much nicer than Walmart?s! I am shopping here from now on! I will drive o

Great independant market with friendly service, dedication to the rural community, and gratitude to the customer. Love their meat, cut fruit bowls and the BAKERY! Gotta get some famous doughnuts and eclairs!

Favorite grocery store in Sanpete.

We love Terrel?s Market. They got what you need. Their raisin cookies are excellent and their fresh salsa must have an addictive chemical in it - It?s that good.

I've been coming to Terrel's since the 80's. Ya, the 80's. Granted, it has been the only grocery store for 20 miles. Nicest people in the world here in Sanpete county. But the real that you should stop by - the bakery.

The fried chicken is very good when fresh but deteriorates quickly after its been sitting in the warmer for very long. It's sometimes so old that it is hard, dry, and downright nasty. It needs to be replaced a lot sooner than it is or just not sold after about an hour.

Good store, has most of what you will need. Clean store freindly employees.

Excellent service, great selection, bakery and deli are awesome. Employees are very friendly and helpful.

This place is basically Heaven! The bakery and deli have absolutely delicious food!! The store is clean, lines are short, people are friendly, and it's just a great store all around!

A place I enjoy the speedy friendly service. Still the same old bakery delicious food at reasonable prices. I absolutely love shopping here

This is a local grocery store in a rural town. When items are on sale, there are good deals. When items are regular price they run $1- $5 more than any other place. The high prices tend to be too expensive for most of the people living in the area.

Always crowded and have to stand in line. The worker's need a sense of humor or customer Service skills.

Best small town groceries in all of Sanpete County. Produce always looks great. Bakery is worth the country drive from neighboring towns.

Was out of town for work they have a decent selection of food fair price nice staff if you are around there it's a good place

I got the chicken meal deal and there was only enough potato salad for two people with 12 piece chicken. No cliff bars. Pumpkin cookies are always a treat.

This is the best local market with great service in the world...yes, my opinion. Amazing bakery, well known by visitors. Meat department is top notch. Customer service is done right. Great options

Live in town, go here for everything I can. Very friendly staff, always willing to help with a smile. Love the small town life, and support our businesses as much as possible

The employees are amazing. The prices are painful. If we need more than 2 things we have to go out of town. If the prices were more competitive we would go there for everything. Stop capitalizing on people who don?t have a choice.

I love the produce they have a good variety of products
