TE'AMO Boba Bar South Barrington

Overall, our experience at TE?AMO was delightful. The Sunrise Smoothie with lychee jelly was refreshing and the Trown Sugar Tea Latte with Boba was a perfect blend of sweetness. The hot chocolate was rich and satisfying, while the doughnuts were a delicious treat. The atmosphere of the South Barrington location was inviting and clean, and the service we received was top-notch. We will definitely be returning to TE?AMO for more tasty drinks and treats. Highly recommend!

Waited over 10 minutes at the counter as the employee ignored my existence, i just had a quick question. All that wait just to find out they couldnt do smoothies, I heard the employee tell another customer they were out of donuts too. I would have ordered something but the employee looked miserable. Went to the Algonquin location which had MUCH better service and the employee there was so friendly.

Opening day was a MESS!! Very unorganized and couldn?t handle all the business with line of customers out the door in the cold. 10-15 ?employees? just standing around inside and taking up space when customers had to wait outside. After ordering, drinks took about 30 minutes. Asked for a carrier for the drinks and a flimsy cardboard was provided. No handle and if not held right, all the drinks will spill. We were there 1st experience in South Barrington on Mother?s Day 2025 11:05am. The floor was so sticky. It was like syrup. The clerk saw us twice and then hit behind in the back for several minutes, not helping us The order PC?s were stuck on a donut we didn?t want She came out to see we were struggling and didn?t offer any help Finally went to help us, after we asked for help - 3 minutes into the visit. 2 $4,00 Donuts were COLD & STALE. The Boba straws you guys have kept breaking while I was trying to enjoy my drink. Yesterday, I wanted to complain that my boba was hard and the taste was kinda off for the volcano thai tea. Sadly, I didn't see the employee for almost 15 minutes during my stay at this specific location. I get it , you are bored or either you had to go to the bathroom , but man you were gone for a long time and I wanted to convey my complaint to you about my drink.

This is how "fresh" the Coconut Double there is. "Double" here I guess is for 1) Coconut and 2) MOLD. Honestly didn?t expect much from this place, it literally looks too cute to be credible. But I am glad I went, the one girl behind the desk was excellent. We had a donut it was great. Different. Terrible service. There's only one unhappy soul working behind the counter and you can tell she hates her job. This place is adorable! The atmosphere and containers are so cute! I love all the customization that you can do on the drinks. The seats are so comfortable. I had a matcha boba tea and it was delicious. My friend had a mango smoothie and it was ok. I'm not sure if it was made with full real fruit because it tasted a little powdery and it was really cold at first with too much ice. It was better once the ice thawed a bit. Not good. There was only one person working and she seemed overwhelmed. Felt bad for her. But the donut was disgusting. It didn?t taste like a normal mochinut. It was too doughy and not fresh at all. There was a hair on one of the donuts, like an animal hair.

Their boba is chewy and delicious. They have also bunch of options for milk and boba?s. But the waiting time is a little bit long. The interior design of the cafe is so beautiful. It was very different than the Chicago downtown area.

I am here right now and stopped to complain about how bad I was treated by the service. Today is 08/16/2024 at 4 pm. I hope the owner of the place cann check it. She treat me so bad after I asked how the flavors worked. Everything I used to say she was in silence or answering ? what? ?what? and ?what? . I was never treated like that in a place that I come to BUY someting before!

My friend and I had good experiences with other Te'amo locations so we're excited one has finally opened in our area. However, our first visit at this location didn't go so well. The employee gave us the crystal boba instead of the regular boba, but when we tried to bring it to her attention, she insisted that their regular boba is just crystal boba with brown sugar, which isn't true. Maybe if she wasn't too busy hanging out with other customers, the drinks would have been made right.

The boba here are very hard and don't seem fresh. I won't go back again.

I?m a kung fu lover and I just have to say this place blew it out of the water, I?m so specific about boba, so if you?re looking for a place to go this is the one! Went yesterday, Options are amazing, staff was very nice and informative. Old girl is by herself and still killed the game. And the mochi donuts are astounding, not too sweet, going back as soon as possible!!

Cute place discovered by accident. Excellent boba tea. Having never been, would have been nice to have been greeted and menus explained a little. Thankfully I'm not new to boba tea so I was able to figure out what I wanted.

Ordered the volcanic latte with regular boba (tapioca) but received the crystal boba. I brought it up to the employee but she insisted that she put in the correct boba. Pretty disappointing experience. Employees need training.
