I live in junction City, about 32 miles from clay center, i tried the tasty pastry bakery in clay center and boy let me tell u, when u walk in, it looks like an old time bakery, so cozy!!! Everything in it's place, clean tables friendly staff that treats u like family, always welcomes any questions u have just amazing service, always smiling, makes u feel very welcomed, it smells so good the moment u walk threw the door, fresh coffee fresh donuts and pastries, all are delicious but my favorite favo
The best donuts I?ve ever eaten in my 43 years of life. I was a little girl when I first had the filled nut roll and it?s been 23 years since I?ve had it and it did not disappoint. It tasted just like I remembered. I would make a special trip just to have this donut. I would drive out of my way to have this donut. It is so fluffy and the cream filling is not your average cream filling. It?s amazing.! The peanut butter roll is really good too!
I recently had breakfast at Tasty Pastry Bakery and was thoroughly impressed. The bakery offers a fantastic selection of items, including cookies, rolls, and pastries. We tried the Buttermilk donuts, and they were absolutely delicious. The breakfast menu also features a variety of options like croissant sandwiches, breakfast burritos, and biscuits and gravy. The dining room is spacious and exudes a charming small-town feel. I?m looking forward to revisiting soon to try their lunch offerings!
The best part is that you walk in and feel like you have been there before. The donuts were amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful. The old time charm will have us coming back again and again. We can't wait to try their breakfast and lunch options as well!
The famous Tasty Pastry Bakery! The restaurant hasn't been updated in decades, but this has small town charm. They decorate for major holidays, celebrate locals birthdays with free coffee! The donuts are second to none.

I grew up in Clay Center and this is the place I always compare donuts and rolls to. I have yet found anything better than these. My favorite are the nut rolls, maple sticks, and the chocolate logs or rolls when they are filled with pudding type of center. My son?s favorite is the chocolate donuts. I haven?t lived there in years but when I?m in town I always stop by. When my boys lived at home they always made sure we stopped when in town. This place right here is ,to me, the number one reason visit Clay Center. From their amazing classic glazed doughnut that'll make you say "Krispy who?", to the wonderfuly flavor(s) full twist. Not to mention the one and only "Nut Roll" make this the place to chow down on some true deliciousness.

Tasty Pastry has the BEST donuts in Clay County. Homemade and yummy, I stop here every time I'm in Clay Center. They also have reasonably priced sandwiches for lunch. Totally worth the trip!

If you have a sweet tooth then this is the place to go, they make all of their donuts and pastries fresh and in-house. They are renowned for their Nut Rolls, but personally I love thier Apple Fritters. They are amazing!
OMG!!!! The best donuts I have ever had!!! Walked in not quite knowing what we wanted besides their famous nut rolls. We ordered 2 dozen donuts and let them pick them out for us!! Holy cow we were not disappointed!!! Will definitely be coming back here next time we are in town!! Might just have to have some shipped to AZ!!!!! Thank you ladies!!!!

This place is the same, all the time. The same fresh and delicious doughnuts! Nut rolls, chocolate logs, maple sticks, blueberry cake doughnuts. The frosting, the filling. Definitely earn their stars!

Excellent homemade donuts! However, the interior is in desperate need of a renovation. My mom worked here when she was in high school in the mid 80's, and it still has the same flooring, same countertops, same wall decor, and everything. Invest in your business. Just having good donuts isn't all there is to it. Probably the only reason they can get away without renovating is because the main people who go there and hang around inside are all old people. You know how old people are..."It's just fine like it
Great local offerings of donuts, rolls, & fritters. Lots of family activity on a Saturday morning. Saw a worker regularly disinfecting tables & doors. Just half a block off the highway on a quaint courthouse square. We'll be back!

Donuts taste like they were a Dale donut maybe even 2-day-old on it they weren't like they used to be I won't be coming back anymore I guess I don't miss the donuts anymore either
Better than Krispy Kreme! I'm here for training & they had Tasty Pastry glazed donuts. All I can say is, if I lived closer, me and the diabetic pharmaceutical reps would be on a first name basis.
