When I'm in Louisiana I make sure I stop at tastes they have the best donuts and their salads OMG they are huge fills up the whole plate

Ain't done Tastee in a minute but this is a rough back2school week and I'm tires I was pleasantly surprised. Porkchops meal and spaghetti meal figured this would last me at least 3 days. The service at this establishment is horrible. I called to place an order was put on hold. Worker hung up on be and placed phone off hook. Went in to place order and witness with my on eyes the worker hanging up the phone on a customer . Places my order and was told it would be ready in ten minutes. Wow. Never thought I'd see a ribeye steak and glazed donuts on a share menu. But here we are. I was both impressed and sad that I don't have this back home. Just got donuts and a large breakfast sandwich this go around. Maybe we'll hit up another location for dinner. I bet that gumbo is better than what I got at the tourist place on Frenchman Street.

I come here every time I drive home from Atlanta and have never had a bad experience?until today. The older bigger lady working the counter this morning had the worst attitude. The things she was saying and the way she acted genuinely shocked me. I think Tastees might?ve officially lost me a customer.

Been coming here for almost 40 years since I was in preschool. In the face of Katrina, COVID, and every other economical thing, it has stood the test of time for a reason. I?ve been coming here since I was a little kid, always consistently good food. Their hot plates, yaks mein, donuts etc are always fresh and good. I placed an order for 14 dozen for an event for 0630 and it was ready and packed when I got there.

Exactly how other reviewers have said, it's worth the wait! We had shrimp and okra with fish, and it was delicious! Meatloaf and donuts were also pretty good. Definitely will be coming often.

My philosophy is the dough makes the donuts. THAT'S what makes this Tastee so incredibly good! But do NOT think all Tastee Restaurants are the same. This is the BEST donut shop I've ever been to. I've only been once. I had a breakfast bowl with grits, egg, chees, and sausage, plus a huge apple fritter on the side.Everything was great. It's a Kenner La. staple, seems like most people order there food to go type of place. I would definitely go back when in town.

Edit : Visited again 3 months later! Got the same thing as last time, a kastle burger combo with 3 sliders, drink, fries and donut. All of it was amazing and fresh. We visited the Kenner tastee donuts. The donuts were so good. We tried a few pastries and got a mixed dozen donuts. Lots of great variety and all delicious. My recommendation is to have the pastries labeled. Lots of pointing and trying to tell them which one we wanted. If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a large okra and shrimp and a large roast beef poboy combo the only thing that was good was my drink. The food was so salty that I could not eat it and the onion rings were greasy and cold. They use to be better back in the day but nowadays it's just ok. It's also too pricey. I said in the past that I wouldn't go back but I passed all of my breakfast spots and they were my last resort so here I am trying them again. What can be said about this location? Authentic, yes that is the positive word I can associate with my experience. 24 hours, long lines, customers that look like they wanted to be home an hour ago, yes an authentic experience. There is an extensive menu. Too many food choices to mention. You just have to go there and see for yourself. I do recommend you go at least once. With friends. Drunk or hung over preferably. It doesn't get more real than this.

The lady kept saying next next screaming at the top of her lungs but someone else was still at the window am I just suppose to step on stop of the lady? I walked in this Tastee Shop and got confused. It's breakfast time, so I was just gonna get a donut. The smells were not eggs and bacon; it was crawfish pies, butterbeans, bbq chicken, you name it they have it. Big thumbs up for getting my taste buds going so early in the morning. The jambalaya is very good and the donuts are always fresh! My grandma fell in love with their roast beef sandwich! You can?t go wrong at Tastee?s. Tip on ordering your food, it?s best to retrieve a menu in store or online and call in your order. It may take a second or two for you to actually get through but that?s because of the busyness. BEWARE SCAMMERS they are saving Credit Card numbers exchanging it out for cash .. I made a purchase on Sunday 6/16/24 .. on Monday night 6/17/24.. I was alerted that a purchase was made using my credit card number while I was sitting at home on my couch. Apparently there are scammers who work there at night it happened Monday @ 8:15pm. I will be filing a police report so called the bakery the owner was not available tonight I will call back in the morning.

Never disappointing! I was referred to this restaurant in 2019 from a young male sitting next to me on the plane. I?ve had breakfast(grits, scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, biscuit) and dinner(smothered pork chops, rice, and greens). It was all just fine. King Cake is 22.00. This thing is just a big plain donut , actually it's not even as good as a plain donut it's just a round piece of bread with some icing. I was heading to Baton Rouge when I accidentally stumbled upon this donut spot. Figured I get a cinnamon roll, but after seeing the menu, I left with grits, eggs, fried pork chops, and a cinnamon roll. My next visit ended with butter beans, rice, pork chops, and a cinnamon roll. So far, I've never got any bad dishes. If you ever get a chance, stop by. The food, donuts AND CINNAMON ROLLS ARE DELICIOUS.

Best Donuts hands down, not too thick not too thin, not greasy and heavy but just enough fluff. The food was pretty good today because sometimes it's not! Service was slow and horrible as usual. Cashier seemed inexperienced, bossy, and rude. The cooks seemed pretty nice. Food is good but bad customer service

Last stop before heading back to MSY. I wanted some glazed beignets, but they were out. Ordered some chicken tenders and they were good.

I ordered some butter melt drops and a specialty pantry, which all tasted stale!! I don't come to Kenner a lot, but when I do, I always stop at Tastee for at least a butter melt drop.. Now I might need to reconsider that choice.

I love their donuts! They have a wide variety of donuts and specialty donuts and super special donuts! They serve food here as well. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served here.

I ordered the crawfish pasta bowl with glaze doughnuts. The pasta was good season well. The doughnuts never disappoints!
