These are so good, I set my alarm clock for 5:00 a.m. and drive 45 minutes, one way, to get them. Don't sleep in, cause they'll be gone. They're that good! Some of the best donuts you'll eat. Great service, good atmosphere.

The staff was very kind and helpful dealing with my order that I made for the wrong day. I loved the maple donut and devils food cake donut, I think those were my favorite and my husbands favorite. Maybe one best maple icing I?ve had. The white icing is good too, it?s not too overly sweet. The old fashioned was good. I could not stand to eat the bear claw, even though I love almond. The apple fritter was sold out, so I will try that next time.

great donuts for sure tons of variety including their gluten-friendly but their service is truly what sets them apart their staff is awesome Everyone is always so pleasant and helpful! highly recommend!!!

Peanut butter filled donut holes are so unique and delicious. I like them with powdered sugar. They are large, like small potatoes

Had my first ever ?spudnut? today thanks to my wonderful admin at work! When I went into the copy room to see what could possibly be left (I?m the one getting to work just in time these days ??), there were boxes filled with Glazed Rings like the one I have pictured and White & Maple Glazed Long Johns? Visited from out of town. Family lives in Pekin and raved about this donut shop. Got there around 5 am and there was a line shortly after! All of the donuts we got were delicious and light. First time having potato flour donuts. Will definitely be back!

Tadoughs has amazing doughnuts that are great for breakfast or for a company meeting! Highly suggest!

Our Donuts were not like they use to be . Kind of tough and not the melt in your mouth they were.

Love this place. Hadn't been in a while. Placed an order before I went. Picked up more when I got there...lol. Just as tasty as I remember! Family loved them still.

Huge doughnuts! Will be going back, only earlier in the morning. I went at 9am and they were sold out of some of my favorites. Bought a dozen and they were still fresh'ish the next day.

Such a perfect stop for local donuts! My kids love the cinnamon rolls, which are humongous. Those old fashioned buttermilk donuts are my go-to. The Wednesday special roll is phenomenal, too!

All I can say is, absolutely amazing! Drove over an hour to get them. Get there early, they go really fast. Already a line at 3:30am.

Donuts were GREAT! Cinnamon Rolls ate in one bit. However, made an error while ordering the lady called me at 4:30am and was completely rude. I was blown away at how unprofessional she was. I hardly got a word in. When, my fianc? went to pick up the order after work. He called me asking what happen that the lady came up and apologized. But I won't order again. She left a bad taste in my mouth.

Glad an associate shared their experience at Tadoughs with me. I had to try for myself. I was not disappointed. Large selection of freshly baked, melt in your mouth selections. Busy on my arrival, but the friendly, efficient staff moved like clock work. I was in & out in minutes. Worth the trip.

Love the donuts. Just make sure you get there early. Not much to choose from after 10am.

Beat Damn Doughnuts in Central Illinois. I would not think twice about traveling just for a beautiful and tasty spudnut. The ladies there are wonderful and polite. A great place!

Pretty sure the donuts are fried in engine oil aka canola oil.. & I came in months ago but the experience was so ??, still thought to come leave a review, it was a older lady in there when I came, rude af, THEY messed up my pre order I placed the night before so I come in next day expecting my order on the preorder rack, it isn?t there so I let them know& the lady was rude af as if they didn?t mess my order up, & had to make it right then and some of the stuff I ordered was sold out & she gave me less than

The donuts were good... but all the "filled" donuts (jelly, angel cream and Bavarian cream) had VERY LITTLE FILLING. May as well save $$ and just buy regular donuts. $30 a dozen is too much.

While no longer called Spudnuts, they still make the same donuts and are now Tadoughs, still residing in a shop on N. 8th St. They have great tasting donuts and their fritters are the best. Go early or you may not get anything at all. Better yet, order ahead and they'll be boxed up and waiting.

There is no donut like a Spudnut/Ta Dough donut. These donuts are made with potato flour and there is something about them that they are amazing. You won't find a better donut. The staff are always super friendly and the donuts are very reasonably priced. If you haven't tried these donuts it's a must!!!

Best donuts iv ever had and l seek new donuts to try far and wide. If your looking for the best donuts in Illinois or anywhere for that matter pay this place a visit. I get donuts at least one a month for work and everyone asks why I don't bring them every day, Always have great friendly service and the prices are right. Get there early and try everything because all there products are phenomenal.

My wife was raised on these donuts, I myself was raised on Mr.Donut and later Dunkin Donuts. They are exceptionally good, although I wish they had a number system for their customers. They always have 1 person filling the orders, and 1 person supplying the donuts, 1 cleaning the back.They need all hands on deck when 20 people are patiently waiting in line for 20-30 minutes.It will lose sales, and I won't wait that long for 3 donuts for my wife, sorry hon.

One of the last great donut joints around! I highly recommend them. Their donuts are well worth the money and time spent to pick them up. These donuts are not the small frozen ones served at chain restaurants, they are big tasty melt in your mouth creations. Stop reading this and go get some!

It's no longer called Spudnuts Donuts. It's now called TADOUGHS DONUTS in the same location. The quality of the donuts seem the same as when it was called Spudnuts. Tadoughs Donuts are the closest you're going to get to a homemade donut and much better than Dunkin in my opinion. If you've got a sweet tooth this is the place for you. These are tadoughs, not spudnuts. A very poor tribute to the original. The glazed donuts look like onion rings.

The flavor of the potato flour is delicious! Never had anything like this where I came from. Doughnuts are large and flavorful. Apple fritters are enormous as are the Bear claws. Place your order before the end of business day online to have ready for pickup the next morning or morning after if you want to avoid standing at the counter deciding.

My favorites are the bear claws and the angel creme. The spudnuts have no artificial taste and put Dunkin Donuts to shame. They open early and sell out sometimes.

I'm from NC and have family in South Pekin. We do have independent donut shops down here, but this place is by far the best. I'm glad they opened back up because I'll definitely be there next time in town. Nom nom!

I went this morning & they actually had a nice selection at 9:00! My mom used to pick up Spudnuts as a special breakfast treat when we were kids ? That wa a LONG time ago! Make sure you get there early for the best selection! Never disappoints!

Best doughnut place in the Peoria area, hands down! Apple fritters are the number one item for me here, second are the old fashioned. Great variety of other delicious pastries. You will not be disappointed

Every single time I go to get doughnuts here, they're sold out. I've been there at 630, 7, and 8 am. They know they sell out every time, so make enough to serve everyone. Also who doesnt take debit card now a days? Everyone always talks about how "good" they are but unfortunately, I have yet to be able to still try anything from this place. I'm now over trying to get doughnuts from here. Good luck customers and have fun being there at 5 am!

The donuts are great but I wanted to get them for my brother because he has to have gluten free foods. The lady told me that they where made with potatoes and they where very proud to say they where and they stopped putting dairy in them to. When he ate one he a attack. Am not happy with this lie

I would give them 5 star for the taste of their doughnuts but I can ever get any. They are sold out before 8-9 am. I shouldn't have to get out at 5am just to be able to get some doughnuts. My schedule doesn't permit it. They should make enough to last until they close. Bad business, great tasting doughnuts.

Staff is great! And what's not to love about a doughnut made with potato flour? So light and so good. But get there early, as they have been known to sell out.

I?m here from California visiting family, they brought me to get donuts and yummy!!!! Besides the fact that these delicious delights are amazing but they are big? the lemon cake is absolutely fantastic?.

What more do I need to say you see the photos taste every bit as good as they look. Also I saw where two people made special requests one for nuts on a Long John and one for sprinkles they made them while they waited. If it's early enough and they're still making donuts.

Donuts are out of this world good! We were there around 8am, and bought virtually the last dozen they had. Saw them turn away at least a dozen people because they were out of donuts. Seems they need to make more donuts.

Best donuts around, if you try them you wont want another donut from anywhere else. The only bad thing is they sell out fast "because they are the best" so get there really early, and second they don't except credit or debit cards.

It?s so hard to find a good local doughnut shop. I love doughnuts but only get them a few times a year. A good quality doughnut is miles better than even the freshest Krispy Kreme. I had a maple doughnut from this place that was so good it was a nearly religious experience.

Spudnuts are NOT gluten free, as some people are claiming, they're just less gluten than regular donuts. They are delicious though! And the only donut I would eat before going gluten free. Other donuts aren't worth buying when you can have spudnuts instead. But if you want to be completely gluten free, look for donuts in the gluten free frozen food section at Wal-Mart, Kroger or Hy-Vee.

Donuts are delicious! If your thinking about taking the trip, it's worth it! Didn't get to try cinnamon rolls this time, they weren't ready. Hopefully next time!

Love their donuts....I try to take some to my family in Saint Louis as they miss Spudnuts....but Spudnuts don't answer their phone and their mailbox is full. Have tried for several hours. Happebs too often!! Guess I will have to find another place who wants my business. Very frustrated but over it.

Tried the donuts here on a recommendation. They were soft and fresh. I personally didn't like the donuts. They were way to greasy. Greasy and sickening sweet. Other people may like it.

If you want an alternative to the everyday donut go to SpudNuts. As the name implies, potato flour is used as opposed to your normal wheat (Gluten) flour. And let me warn you. One tiger tail, or twist, weighs a pound or better. One is all you need. Get there early for the best selection.

Really great doughnuts for the price got up super early so I could be there as soon as they opened at 4 upon arrival we realized the only take cash or check the lady behind front still allowed us to place our order so we could have it waiting when we got the back from the atm. Kinda sucks that they can't take card but were super accommodating with it

This is their new location, they used to be on Derby but moved here. Best donuts in town and somewhat of an obsession for those "in the know". Get here early, they sell out usually by 9am.

The best Donuts. We came to Pekin from Arkansas and had to get some. My advice is go early because they always sell out.
