Mediocre textures, slightly stale pastries. Totally not worth the calories. About same as getting grocery store pastries. Better bakeries in town. Just a cheap sugar rush. Coffee mediocre as well. Service was good. Very clean and spacious. Not much ambiance.

We were in the area visiting another business and decided to stop for coffee and a snack. We ordered our cappuccino and tiny pie to share and ?clair. We took a peanut butter cookie for the next day with coffee. We discovered what many knew, the deliciousness of their baked items and good coffee. The blueberry pie filling is fresh and flavorful, and the ?clair is yummy but the star of our choices was the peanut butter cookie. It remained soft the following day with intense peanut flavor and buttery cookie

It's a bakery and a cafe. The bakery is AMAZING! I high recommend all the baked goods. They have almond horns, hard to find and done really well! All the baked goods i have tried are delicious and of fantastic quality! The caf? is pedestrian. Convenient caf? but better quality food is had elsewhere.

I visited this wonderful bakery to pick up some treats for the family I was visiting. Kristina (as noted on the receipt) was very helpful and friendly. Came here based off of reviews. My partner and I was a bit disappointed. The Apple turnover was fluffy but not really filled. It was filled with air. I think it would have been better heated up. I really enjoy getting the breakfast sandwiches here. A little more pricey than other spots, but they come with home fries which are absolutely delicious. The bakery items are also very good. I?ve tried some of the donuts and have not been disappointed.

Great bakery with a huge selection of cakes, pies, and other pastries. They have a ton of options but we decided on a few things with the Apple strudel with crumb cake on top being our favorite. The Apple filling was the perfect gooeyness mixed with crisp, flavorful apples. The sugary coffee cake crumble on top was the perfect compliment. A staple of the area and a must stop.

First time here and I ordered the Red Velvet round sampler. Where is the cake? 20% cake and 80% cr?me. For real? I bought 2 other flavors to bring home. I will update the review. If those two are the same, then I?m never going back to this place unless people like 80% cr?me in their pastry.

Best cheese danish in the world! Growing up in NYC we would always go to Swiss Chalet when visiting family in Morristown. Decades later and I?ve still never had a better cheese danish or other ?old fashioned? baked goods anywhere in this country. Every time I visit I have to get the cheese danishes. My wonderful family members get them for me. I hope Swiss Chalet never closes. It?s the best bakery!

Nice pastries but very bad coffee. I ordered cappuccinos and some pastries to dine in and the coffee was served in traveling disposable?s cups. The coffee was extremely hot and the milk very unprofessionally frothed. Other tables got coffees served in real cups and looked better. Service is very inconsistent. Don?t come for a coffee, I believe you can get a much better and cheaper coffee in Starbucks.

I?ve heard great things about this bakery and had to try it out for myself and they did not disappoint. Our friend took us here and boy, they did not disappoint. Firstly, the staff is amazing! They knew we were from Canada and we asked what were the top choices and made sure we got all of them! I've always wanted to try the black and white cookie from sienfeld and it was exactly what I imagined it to be. Thanks for the wonderful service and laughter. I've been here twice in the last month and enjoyed both times. It is spacious and has plenty of seating and nice quick service, even when a large crowd of us walks in. The staff have all been friendly and helpful. The food is very tasty, especially the home fried potatoes that come with eggs or sandwiches. This bakery and cafe is one of my favorites. The inside is surprisingly large and includes many seating options for people hoping to dine in. All of their baked goods looked incredible, and their display will make you want them all! For lunch, I had one of their mini quiches with bacon. It was hot, filling, and somehow both soft AND crumbly. It was such a treat! I highly recommend this spot if you?re in Morristown!

A nice local bakery with a assortment of different items and treats. Looks like they do a fair amount of business making birthday cakes for kids, with my own daughters birthday coming up, we'll likely be giving them a try. The pastries we tried were good and the staff was very friendly. When we went there were people constantly coming in and out grabbing a coffee and bagel, it's a well trafficked spot.

The bakery goods are phenomenal! I always make it a point to get pastries and cookies from here. They have good coffee as well. And savory food options I've never tried but heard it's really good. Impressive bakery. Huge array of items available. I had: Cannoli: my favorite of these 4. Perfectly crunchy, and the filling had a subtle amount of spice (maybe nutmeg) that gave it a differentiating flair. Pistachio cupcake: I liked the texture change from the thin icing cap that's in between the base and frosting, which it looks like they do on all their cupcakes. We purchased 3 bakery items. Two were good, and I rather liked my crumb apple thing, but the Cookie Monster cupcake was a bit stale to the point that my toddler complained about it being hard. When I checked, the exterior was hard (sometimes okay) and the interior was dry (less reasonable). Oddly, the cream on top seemed rather fresh despite the bottom being hard. Also, their cupcake is smaller than their specialized cupcake container to the point that the cupcake can easily topple.

GF chocolate cupcake with chocolate covered strawberry was really good. My celiac hubby had that. He said it didn't taste gluten free. It definitely was. Pricy but a treat.

This place has been a Morristown staple for generations. They have a fun breakfast and lunch menu. They also have tea, coffee and lattes. But what you must try is any and all of the baked goods! We got breakfast and tried a bunch of thr cakes and pastries. Look how cute these cookies are! Definitely stop in here and enjoy or grab and go. Oh if there is a line it goes very quickly.

Got my wedding cake from here and loved it the designer made it just the way we wanted. We've also gotten cakes made from here for my nephew's birthdays and they're so clean and minimal exactly what we ask for. We usually get the chocolate mousse cake and it's THE BEST or the lemon creme which is so light and delicious. They have great dessert, and overall the bakery is really nice to be in.

This place is huge, they have parking at the back as well. Have visited this few times always a great experience, never been there when there was no line but it moves quickly the staff makes sure your waiting is minimal. Their coffee is really good and a bit cheaper than other places around. Their croissants are huge, for almond one they have this amazing cream filled in. And chocolate is loaded with chocolate. Also they have savory ones amongst which cheddar jalape?o is my favorite.

I also got a sugar-free apple turnover which had hardly any apples in it and it was stale. I also got apple strudel, which was hard as a rock had nothing in it Had to throw everything out. There are some bakeries you just shouldn?t miss when you travel. The Swiss chalet is one of them. The food is excellent and the portions are ample. Have a croissant or a breakfast sandwich and don?t miss the omelette. The coffee is good but the sweet treats are even better. Don?t hesitate and go the next time you can.

I?ve been going to Swiss Chalet almost weekly for 12 years. Slowly it?s gone down hill. Today the croissant was 1/2 the size it usually is. The cashier wasn?t helpful when we commented on the size of the croissant. She insisted they?re all that size. So I can only assume the one we received wasn?t a fluke. My pecan danish was also smaller, dry on the edges and crisped on the bottom. Clearly baked too long.

Everything was stale and tasted days old. Clearly nothing is baked fresh. Skip this place and go to a better local bakery, there?s plenty of them around.

I haven't been to Swiss chalet in years, but decided to try for a birthday cake. Was looking for a good carrot cake. We unfortunately got a cake that was the quality of a cheap store bought. The cake was not moist and the frosting mostly cheap powdered sugar with a hint of cream cheese. It was my wife's birthday, and we ate a small piece each. The remaining got tossed out after a few days uneaten. Very disappointed.

I've never once been disappointed by this bakery. Their desserts are delicious. Highly recommend any of the cheesecakes. The tiramisu cake is also amazing. You can tell they use high quality ingredients in everything they make.

Was excited to try this place as I like to check out all sorts of local businesses. However was appalled at the service and food quality here. 24.50 for a small breakfast platter and two 20 oz drinks and a bagel. I asked for white toast the rude amateur grill cook said they didn't have any, how is that possible in a bakery cafe? This place is an amazing little bakery to get a quick breakfast, or even just a bite to eat. They have free WIFI and the food was good. I got an apple turnover and a donut, and both were excellent. It is located in a nice spot, too. They also have parking.

We came by 2 weeks ago and quickly noticed that most of the outdoor seating had been removed; one of the main reasons we would eat here was to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Staff was really nice but few things went wrong. 1)It's not Swiss type dessert, it's all typical over sweet sugary items. 2)we got multiple desserts, when they hand me the bag, I didn't open it till I went to my car. All the items, cookies, cupcakes, chocolate eclair, cream puffs, all was thrown in same box, stacked on top of each other. How horrible is that? Who serves desserts like that? 3)Cream puffs without any cream inside, yap all hollow inside. Not one not two, all of them empty.

Although their location is good, their food is not. I tried to still support them occasionally. Today the cashier did not believe that my reusable mug was a small size. She refused to even let me prove to her it was. She was extremely rude and argumentative. There are other coffee shops in town with better quality products and better treatment of customers. They just lost this customer.

Very charming interior and friendly. I ordered peppermint tea and vegan mushrooms sandwich, and both were freshly made and very flavorful. The only issue was that our phone service and net were not working inside the cafe.

My feelings about the baked goods here are mixed. The products are expensive and sometimes you get the most delicious pastry. Other times, the baked goods are not worth the calories. This is my family's new favorite bakery! Everything tasted fresh & delicious. We plan on returning very soon. While the staff was okay, they weren't attentive & didn't acknowledge us until they were done with their own personal convo.

I ordered 2 mousse cakes from here. One had a chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, and chocolate ganache shell, while the other was a vanilla cake with a passion fruit mousse and white chocolate shavings. The 10 inch cakes were massive and beautiful. Both were absolutely INCREDIBLE! Everyone loved them at our hosted event. Definitely will be ordering our custom cakes from here in the future. Cannot recommend this bakery enough.
