A variety of donuts and bakery items, including a fantastic cinnamon roll and a delightful peanut glazed twist donut. The maple long john was disappointing due to its unusual frosting taste and thick, heavy texture. A great spot for families, offering a wide selection of muffins, cookies, coffee, some apparel, mugs, etc.

I photographed a wedding in May of 2025 where Sweet Kneads Farmington Bakery provided dessert!! The bride and groom wanted a 1 tier cake per table for guests to share. I LOVED THIS IDEA. It was AMAZING and if you are looking for a dessert for your wedding, look no further than Sweet Kneads!!

Quite possibly the best cookies in all of humankind. Walking into this bakery brings everything great about America to the forefront. You can?t help but supporting! Don?t you just want to dig that front blue m&m out with a bite and then clean it off with your tongue and then take the great pleasure of crushing its life and feeling the cracking in your teeth as you swipe your tongue over to pick up the debris like a front end loader and dump it down into your tummy?

Sweet Kneads did an amazing job for my twin boys 1st birthday. Our theme was baseball and they made the most adorable smash cakes and cookies for the party. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Awesome local bakery!

My husband and I used Sweet Kneads Farmington Bakery for our wedding. We went with donuts and it was amazing! Their donuts are 10/10! We had so many compliments on them. They were so easy to work with and did such a good job helping to make our day so special! I would Highly recommend for any wedding, event, or even just popping in for a few baked goods :)

Went here this weekend for the first time and they have a great selection. We got a cinnamon roll and a long john donut and both were delicious. We will definitely stop by again sometime when we are in the area!

Delicious Apple fritters! One of the few places around that have a croissant breakfast sandwich. They have pretty much any baking good you can imagine, All delicious. I have purchased two wedding cakes here. Not both my weddings LOL. Those were awesome as well.

The Carmel bran muffins are a slice of heaven. Everything in the bakery is amazing and fresh, from pastries to bread. And prices are very reasonable for FRESH baked goods. Today we bought cheesecake bars, bran muffins, THEE Texas donut, scones, muffins and an assortment of other treats. And I met my new BFF Kathy. She works behind the counter and is a gem, extremely helpful and deserves a raise! If you love bakeries, this place is a MUST!!

Sweet Kneads Bakery made the 2 tier cake and tons of mini cupcakes in various flavors for our wedding in September 2024. They were easy to work with and reasonably priced. The cake tasting had tons of options and it was hard to only choose a few of the many different flavor combinations.

This bakery has been my favorite since I was a kid. I purchased cookies yesterday since they have always been my favorite. I can honestly say whatever they changed in the recipe for the cookie itself is so disappointing. It?s not the same whatsoever and tastes thick and too much sugar. They use to have an almost shortbread crunch to the cookies and now they crumble with having so much sugar.

Ordered a custom birthday cake for my mom. King Arthur/Excalibur theme. Gave them a few idea photos and dragon image for the banners and they nailed it! Perfect.we added a small sword (arranged before hand) and made a big deal of removing it at the time of presentation. Everyone at the party LOVED the design and the taste! Bottom layer was white cake with lemon fillling, and other 2 were chocolate with raspberry. We requested no fondant. Will definitely order again!

My husband and I got married this past June, and we used Farmington Bakery for our wedding cake. We couldn?t be happier about this decision!! We LOVE to support a local bakery. This was SO MUCH BETTER than supporting one of the big name bakeries in St. Paul and Minneapolis that charge crazy prices for the same product. We LOVED the taste and quality of the cake. We absolutely couldn?t have asked for anything more. We did cake tastings at some of the big name city bakeries and a tasting in Farmington.

We expected to find treats made with food to find they use carcinogenic toxins? wanted to find something that was made with real ingredients like fat our bodies could digest but found hydrogenated soy bean oil (like can you use worse ingredients???) no butter in any of the cream? just hydrogenated oil and sugar. I love them!!! I needed a cake for my daughter's birthday, I reached out to places a week ahead of time, who couldn't tell me if they could or not. I called Farmington Bakery, the customer service over the phone was amazing, I was told to email, and I would grt an answer right away. And I did, saying they could make the cake. It was BEAUTIFUL!! Everything we asked for, and more. My daughter was so happy!!!! I love this bakery, and will be going to Doughnuts in the morning!!!

My family loves the bakery and we visit weekly for donuts and frosted cookies. They did a fabulous thing for the FHS 2020 Senior class and GAVE AWAY these giant donuts to every single senior this year! We ordered some of the gourmet cupcakes for my daughter's 1st birthday. The process was very easy and they responded right away! Everyone loved the cupcakes and were happy with the filling inside them! We will definitely be coming back!!

After reading reviews and being in the area, I thought we should give Sweet Kneads a try. Offer a variety of sweets, donuts, pastries, and cookies. Prices a tad on the high side. We got some Molasses cookies, and they had that factory taste and not the grandma's fresh from oven taste. We also got two long johns. They tasted like corporate bakery donuts and not the, we just baked these here at 5 am today. So am I disappointed? Do fish swim?

The taste of their cakes and bakery items are so good? much better than Hy-Vee, and I will pay a few extra dollars for that delicious flavor. Plus, their customer service is great! The pink cake I called in for same day was perfect!

The baked goods here are absolutely fabulous! I have always had great service. Very nice owners and I have always received great service. I feel so lucky to live near an amazing bakery. My father lives in Northern Minnesota and when he comes to visit it is a MUST to get a donut from here.

Amazing place to go!! I had my special order cupcakes and they turned out perfect!! They were mini cupcakes set down in a large cake box! I had to travel 30 minutes with them, and even setting the box on the floor of my car, a lot of them toppled over.??My only suggestion would be is: not to run out of the cupcake containers. Cupcakes were scrumptious though!

If you want the nostalgic bakery experience then wander down to Farmington, MN and visit Sweet Kneeds. Most of their specialties are from generations old recipes made only in their family owned, 3rd generation, Bakery. Oh yeah, the smells alone are worth the drive, and they're open very early so your office meeting can feature the freshest and bestest from Sweet Kneads.

My experience at Farmington bakery was amazing! We came in to do a wedding cake tasting and Melissa was so friendly! We got to try all their cake flavors! Their prices are so reasonable too! We have now found our favorite bakery! Can?t wait to see the finished product of our wedding cake :)

Great location great smells help full staff

I drove an hour, half hour there, half hour back, to pick up a donut cake that I pre-ordered. We get in and there is a line that is at least a half hour long! I asked if I could just pick up the donut cake, and they said no, I have to wait in this line. We had a soccer game to get to for my son and I couldn?t wait for a half hour. So I had to drive a half hour back without the cake. And then have to make a second trip later today for another hour to come back and get it when I have time. Ridiculous!

Great donuts, requested for work meetings, great for breakfast, brunch and/or special occasions. Haven't found one that didn't taste good yet.

We did a donut wall through Sweet Kneads Farmington Bakery. Their donuts were delicious! This was also a very affordable option for couples who don't want to do a wedding cake. I would highly recommend Sweet Kneads to anybody and everybody for any event!

We initially chose sweet kneads off a recommendation from family for our wedding desserts, did a tasting and decided on a variety of sweets for our wedding. They get 5 stars not only because everything was delicious, quick replies/communication, but we also had a little mis-communication on dates and Melissa the owner was quick to reply and offer a solution. The bakery busted their butts to get our desserts done within a few hours and I am so thankful. Couldn?t recommend them enough!

Their donuts tasted well, but I was really disappointed with their professionalism with handling my wedding. I ordered donuts instead of cake and sent in all of the information I thought they needed. Their decorating is really sloppy. When my mom told her that our main wedding donut wasn?t decorated well they said ?well people send pictures of what they want so we just assumed gold ? because it?s a wedding.? Why would a business assume anything? They could have emailed asking for more details or for photos.

If I could give more stars I would! At Dew Days I sampled a lemon cupcake, delicious! And I love lemon. I was immediately sold that I would be ordering my birthday cupcakes from Sweet Kneads. Not everyone loves lemon, so I ordered a few other flavors as well. The ?wedding cake? was even better! I missed my chance to try the Strawberry Lemonade and Chocolate Peanut Butter (gone before I could try them). I will be back!!!

I just recently ordered a Mother's Day cake through Farmington Bakery, and it was great! My mom absolutely loved it! It was so beautiful and tasty. I went to the bakery here in Farmington with my daughter and her fianc? and mother to try out cake tasting for their wedding and I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. We ordered donuts for our wedding. They were amazing at answering questions regarding dietary needs. They frosted the donuts to match our wedding colors. When our groomsman went to pick the order up, it was not ready; however, they gave us a ton of free donut holes and they were still ready within an hour. Overall, they were great to work with and so many guests stated the donuts were amazing!

Donuts are great. Variety is great. Obviously the earlier you go, the more stuff they have on hand. Staff is always friendly and you can get in and out pretty quick. I REALLY love the choc dipped bear claw. But they've got tons of breads, pastries, cookies, bars. Just impressive the breadth really.

The staff was very helpful in helping order a custom printed cookie and it turned out really well. But when I went to pick up the order, they kept insisting that it was sent to the Cannon Falls location because of the wrong form being used (that they filled out). I told them that I ordered it in person at the Farmington location. When they did find the order, they basically threw it at me and walked away. I've never been treated so rudely before. Won't be placing any custom orders from them any more.

We had a six tier cake made by Farmington bakery for our wedding last night and I was beyond impressed by their work! The Farmington Bakery did the cake for our wedding last month. It was phenomenal!! More gorgeous than I imagined & so delicious. We did 2 different flavors for the layers, almond with lemon filling & lemon with strawberry filling, & everyone raved about how they loved the homemade taste! Melissa was super nice to work with. The cake tasting was so much fun. And the price was by far the lowest around including delivery to St. Paul. We will be ordering cakes from them for all occasions in the future.

The new owners certainly have put some awesome flavors out there. The white almond cake with raspberry filling melts in your mouth. It is by far one of the best cakes I have ever had. We have ordered 2 of them and there was not one piece left as everyone went back for a second piece. It is going to be a new Thanksgiving tradition to have this cake at our table.
