Cheerful staff. Always quick to acknowledge and serve you. Indoor seating spacious enough for big groups or a couple families together. Outdoor seating also available. They get really busy on the weekends so call in or stop by early.
Have been coming to Sunshine for years! The bagels are always fresh. Bought a dozen this morning and they were still piping hot! And, the doughnuts are to die for. A family run business, where you can find Dad baking at wee hours in the morning and Mom and kids work the front counter! Love them!!!
We used to be frequent patrons to this establishment and we came today for my son's birthday to get some donuts. When we returned home ,We come to find all of the donuts that we had purchased were either day old or very very stale. We called the owner and her response was sorry.... In a time when we are trying to support small businesses we shouldn't spend $14 on sale donuts, and as a business owner should not shirk this off as oh well.. sorry Dissatisfaction 100%
Of the 2 shops in town, this one is our favorite. It's always good and reliable, and if you go later in the day and order a decent amount for the family, they throw in extras for free. The flavor of the donuts is way better than other places. I also like the service- no nonsense, matter of fact. I don't need someone holding my hand or making silly small talk when I'm ordering food. Just easy and simple interaction. Lonely Boomers may not appreciate it but should go to church for friends, not a donut shop.

Very disappointed, I?ve been here a few times over the years but after yesterday I will never spend a cent here. Firstly 8AM walk in and a small child comes over from behind the counter (totally great love kids whatever) but she proceeds to push me while I was waiting in line? Oh well I could have looked past that kids will be kids but we order two toasted bagels and both were almost raw completely undercooked and the ?toasted? was just a straight up slightly warmed bagel. Breakfast sandwich and pastry were delicious! I wouldn't recommend the doughnuts, overpriced for the quality. Safeway next door has better doughnuts for less.
This is my go-to donut place! They have the best donuts in Salinas and great prices for their dozen and half dozen donuts. I've enjoyed every donut I've tried here except for the jelly filled but to be fair I've never been a fan of those. The worker was so helpful and nice and ended up giving me two free donuts and I was able to try a blueberry donut which I'd never had before but is a new favorite for me! I wish the store was open for longer but I will definitely be back.
I enjoy the bagels and bagel sandwiches here. The owner is always friendly and remembers your usual order and asks how your family is doing (and remembers wear you tell her because she will ask follow up questions the next the)
I am a huge fan of their breakfast bagel sandwiches. They price them fairly and they taste great each time I've ordered. So glad I finally tried them out after seeing the shop for so many years. Definitely stop in if you can. The doughnuts are alright. I have tried them too often since I don't have much of a sweet tooth.
Ordered bagel with cream cheese and got this like are you running out of cream cheese?
Came in randomly and got a breakfast sandwitch. The lady wiping the floor with napkin and NO gloves is the same lady handling money and making my food with NO gloves. Yuck! To make it worst item was clearly listed for $6 and they charge me $7, I left for food out side for the birds..
Been going there for years....consistently great donuts, bagel sandwiches, smoothies and the coffee is much better than Starbucks. (Faster and cheaper too!) very nice staff as well. I highly recommend. It!
