Sunlite Donuts

Sunlite Donuts

Reviews Summary

This donut shop receives overwhelmingly positive reviews for its delicious, high-quality donuts, with many calling them the best in Denver. Customers praise the perfect texture, freshness, and old-school style. However, significant complaints focus on inconsistent hours (often closing early or only open 2 days/week) and poor inventory management leading to frequent sell-outs. The small, unassuming shop has friendly staff (with rare exceptions) but limited seating. While most adore the donuts enough to overlook operational issues, some find the unreliable availability too frustrating. The consensus: exceptional donuts when you can get them, but plan ahead for limited hours and potential sell-outs.

Customer Reviews

Really good little hole-in-the-wall donut shop. It was kind of out of the way for me personally but it was close to some clients that I had to see. Overall it was a good donut and they were prepared and ready at the requested time. Would recommend and if I was in the area again I would certainly stop by

I've been going to this little hole in the wall, gem of a donut shop for years. I consider myself a donut conniseur. Had donuts from pretty much every donut shop in the metro area and this place is one of, if not the best, donut shops around! They're only open two days a week and it's a small shop. So plan ahead and come early. Every time I'm in there, they're almost sold out, and I get there before 8:00. The owner is a humble, down to earth guy who always smiling whenever I go there. I'm not posting pictur

The place seems a little unorganized but oh God these donuts literally melts in your fingers ?? they so good! ?? So soft and tasty!

Wow, these donuts are delicious! Lived in this neighborhood all my life, always saw the place and just tried it for the 1st time. Did not disappoint. Prices are fair as well, but taste alone is worth it

Great Donuts! Super Friendly old couple Runs The place. Only open weekdays!

When I pulled up this place was empty, at 8:00 on a Friday morning, so I was really nervous. I ordered two donuts, and the second I took my first bite I knew this was the best donut I've ever had! The texture is incredible, the outside is a little crisp, and the inside is light and cooked perfectly. Not too doughy, not too sweet, just perfect! I will definitely be back!

Oh my gosh!!! I'm so glad they were open this morning! (Only open Thursday & Friday - but, absolutely worth the wait!!) What a treasure this little shop is. Such a sweet and kind man set me up with a wonderful dozen donuts assortment inside an adorable box for me to bring to my hard-working staff. They LOVED them!! Thank you for making our day fabulous!! ?? Best donuts in Denver!

Donuts are super light and fluffy, almost literally melt in your mouth! Picked up a mixed dozen to take to work. The gentleman who helped me was very friendly and prices are great. I tried the original glazed and a double chocolate cake donut. Both were outstanding, light and not too sweet. Coworkers really liked the raised donuts. Some might find these donuts small but think of the size as a reason to have more than one!

i?ve lived by this location for so long, finally made the move to buy doughnuts? co worker ate 3 and said ?this is the best doughnut i?ve ever had? ?. bought them again, another co worker said ?better than krispy kreme?

A genuine old school donut shop that sells out daily. The donuts are fresh, tradtional, and tasty. They make a great store cream donut! Don't expect a fancy seating area, but count on the donuts being better than any others within miles.

Coffee and donuts are good. Would improve this review if the lady was friendly which she wasn't--I think it could be her cultural thing where smiling is perceived differently than my own. The place definitely needs more light in the front as when I arrived there, it wasn't welcoming and as if I need to sneak in. I wouldn't stay here to enjoy my coffee or donut-too depressing. Rather be in the desert sun at 110 degree and enjoy my coffee/donut. I give two stars for the donuts. Meh.

It is very sad that I can only give this place a 1 star. It's the only donut place even close to me. But that's the problem. They are only open short hours two days a week, so most times I'm in the mood for a donut, they're not even open. And the days I do go in, even getting there by 7am before I go to work, they're already out of things. They don't manage their inventory very well. So it's really not worth the trouble.

An old school donut shop only open to the public Thursday and Friday mornings (Their website says they are a wholesale business). Our favorite donut shop for sure!

Great donuts! They closed early for awhile in 2018 because of a terminal illness of a family member. They are open now during posted hours. Better than any donut shop I know of in Denver.

I love this place! They have great homemade, old fashion donuts. They are only open on Thursdays and Fridays, but that makes it feel even more special.

Old school donut shop. Great selection and a friendly face to box em up for ya. The lady here (I should have asked her name) has worked at this shop for 28 years! That's incredible and now I have a new favorite donut shop!

Have tried to go multiple times but they are always closed early, seems impossible that they ALWAYS sell out of donuts before Lemars up the street. I do not recommend wasting the time on a trip there as it might be closed an hour early or sooner.

Place was wack. I asked for donut holes. The lady replied" oh you have to call those in 24hrs in advance." I couldn't tell if this was a doughnut shop or a front for something else. They were definitely not trying to sustain a real doughnut business.

They are only open 2 days a week.. I don't know what's going on with this place but it hasn't been the same since I haven't seen the sweet lil old lady there anymore.. I've been going every Friday for the past 3 months and they haven't been open but 1 time and when they were open the doughnuts i wanted were sold out..

I'm a fatty who loves donuts, what can I say. This place makes a great glazed donut. Big n fluffy n gooey just like I like.

Rude to my kid cause she's a big girl and said she doesn't need 2 doughnuts .... but the doughnuts are classic and good.... never know when they will be open
