Sul Bing Su

Sul Bing Su

Reviews Summary

Bing Su receives mostly positive reviews (averaging around 4 stars) for its unique Korean desserts, particularly the shaved ice (Bingsu) and mochi donuts, praised for their refreshing flavors and creative presentations. The Korean corn dogs and soft serve custard also stand out as favorites. However, some customers find portions overpriced (especially Bingsu being mostly ice) or inconsistent in quality (burnt Taiyaki, stale croffles). Service is mixed—many highlight friendly staff, but others criticize slow service, unenthusiastic attitudes, or policies like charging for water. The mango and Oreo Bingsu are frequently recommended, while the hot Cheeto dog and some milk soft serve are noted as bland. Overall, it’s a popular spot for sweet treats, though experiences vary.

Great Friday night at Sul Bing Su! Came by around 7pm?not too crowded, which was nice. I ordered the original Korean corn dog ($3.99), two cheddar corn dogs ($10.98), and a small mango & strawberry bingsu ($10.95). Spent about $28 total. The corn dogs were hot, crispy, and cheesy?done really well. The bingsu was light, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet. Plenty of seating and quick service made the visit even better. Tips: ? The cheddar corn dogs are a must if you like that melty, gooey bite.

Stopped by this shop at Katy Asian Town for a quick bite. The mochi donuts were fresh and delicious! We tried the churros and matcha mochi donut flavors, with the matcha being my favorite. The bingsu comes in three sizes?small is perfect for one person or to share. It?s finely shaved and absolutely delightful. Will definitely be back for more!

Got the rose milk tea with rose jelly and it was absolutely delicious. We also tried their mochi donuts which were perfectly balanced in their sweetness, density, texture, and tasted amazing. They have vegetarian and halal friendly options. Cute interior and decor. Inviting and cozy atmosphere. Free WiFi and spacious seating. Plenty of free parking in the shared free parking lot. Kid friendly and wheelchair accessible. Definitely recommend stopping by for your next sweet tooth cravings if you?re in the ar

The strawberry mango bingsu with green tea powder was so good! They were very kind and added the green tea powder which wasn't one of the prescribed toppings for the mango strawberry bingsu! The matcha mochi donut is strong enough to give a caffeine hit - super delicious and texture was so fun!

The shaved was was okay. We thought it would be flavored instead of just plain with toppings. The other shaved ice places we like have flavored ice and topping too. I would prefer the later option. Donut was tasty though.

Not too busy Friday afternoon. Friendly staff, and excited for the snacks. I didn?t anticipate their milk tea being in a plastic can, which was a cool concept. I?ve had traditional bingsu before in Seoul, so I went for my next favorite: mango. Got the mini, and I liked the amount of whipped cream, mango, and shaved ice. They do have the more traditional bowls that are brass colored. I?m looking forward to more treats in the future, maybe even try more Korean ramen (I love Shin and Buldak ramen)!

The shave ice here is AMAZING! it?s so finely shaved that it truly melts in your mouth. I normally get the mango cheesecake flavor, and ask for extra condensed milk. The large size could easily be shared by two people. Their boba drinks are also pretty good, and the cups are cute! I also love their mochi donuts, I just love the texture! It?s more dense and squishy than a normal donut.

Cute little spot to grab a quick snack after a fun day of playing at the claw machine. They were good sized corn dogs, just a bit greasy so the hot cheeto wasn?t as crunchy. We came in right before closing & they serviced us.

Food: I had their strawberry bingsu and mochi donut for my first visit. As a lover of mango and strawberries, I thought their fruits were at just the right level of sweetness to my liking. Service: The owner was there and she was really kind to her customers, her son was also there to help her out and he was really great. Their service was just quick and great. Would definitely visit again.

Super cute dessert and snack shop, reasonable prices, and kind staff! I The bing su was lovely and refreshing! I love that it wasn?t overwhelmingly sweet. The Mochi Donuts are like a dream, light and fluffy, and wow the crunch and taste of the Korean corn dogs is amazing!!! Definitely a must try place if you?re in the area!

Loved the desserts here! Their Korean shaved ice with mangoes and strawberries is my favorite. Been there several times. Each time it?s been a great experience.

I saw a video of their "Croffle" a few days ago on TikTok and decided to stop by. When I first walked in I couldn't see all the prices until I got to the front of the line. The cashier "Amy" was replacing the receipt paper so I decided to wait until she was done. After she was done she just stared at me and I was confused since I didn't know she was done. She asked if I was ready and I was like "Yes I was just waiting on you." I ordered the Chocolate Croffle, 2 Original Potato "Hot Dogs" and the Half & Half

I?m so happy I found this place because my family loves Korean ice cream! We tried the Ube Mochi donut and the hot dogs because we were impressed with the ice cream. My son enjoyed the Oreo and my mom and I got the Strawberry Cheesecake. We could have split one because our small was actually too much for each of us to have, but they were delicious. Service is very friendly, and they had spicy/hot options for hotdogs. We will definitely come back!

Came here after dinner for something different and everyone loved everything we had. My child had a mozzarella dog and a fruit crafle, my wife had a strawberry cheesecake shaved ice, and I had a chocolate crafle thing. Everything was unexpectedly great. We will be coming back for seconds another day. Only criticism...I wish there was metal utensils instead of plastic..

Tonight, my family and I had the pleasure of enjoying an excellent after-dinner dessert experience at Sul Bing Su in Katy, TX. As avid fans of the restaurant's mochi donuts and shaved ice, we knew we were in for a treat. We arrived at Sul Bing Su shortly after 8pm and were immediately greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff. We were seated at a cozy table in the corner of the restaurant, which was decorated with traditional Korean artwork. After reviewing the menu, we quickly decided to order a variet

This is from two separate visits... We've tried a little bit of everything. My favorite was the blueberry cheesecake Bingsu, the mango cheesecake was also pretty good. The large bowls are big enough to share with two or three people. There are a couple of other shops in the area but I would say this is the best one

I love coming here! The employees are super friendly and helpful. I first got the Mango cheesecake shaved ice. It was perfect. I later came back when I was in town and tried the mochi doughnuts. (Flavors change every 2 days but they seem to always have the original which has the white icing)They were delicious and so cute! I came back and got more for my sister and boyfriend that same week. This is a stop I can't skip when coming to Katy!

Atmosphere: 4 Food Quality(Proportions/price): 4.5 Service: 4 If you are a first timer, I would highly recommend mango combo as a safe bet. If you like something a bit more savory then I would personally recommend the black sesame. As other reviewers have pointed the service and atmosphere may be lacking, however the quality of the food is the main star of the show. In terms of quality of food for Bing Su, it may be of the top spot as of this moment in Houston Texas.

We got the Strawberry & Cheesecake Bingsu, combo croffle & Coffee Milktea. The croffle was kind of stale, loaded with whip cream, but the whip cream was very light & fluffy, not too sweet. Coffee milktea was on point. The strawberry & cheesecake bingsu was okay; cheesecake pieces were huge.

I?ve been to the Bellaire Bing Su several times and was super excited to find out there is also a location in Katy!!! It was my first time to try the Korean corn dog and it was absolutely delicious????. The cheese pull was definitely there! I also had a mango juice with boba ?? ??

What at first seems like a strange combination actually turns out to be a wonderful idea. Touted as a Korean Dessert Cafe, Bing Su also offers variations on the traditional hotdog as well as shaved ice and soft serve custard. We had already eaten but did get the Oreo BingSu, two soft serve cups and a Fresh Mango BingSu. Everything was excellent. Definitely a must try if you're craving something sweet. We will be back to try the hot dogs.

Volcano Spicy Hot Cheeto K-Dog has a great kick! Whole Mozzarella Korean Style K-Dog is gooey with cheese and dusted with sugar. Perfect treat! Be advised one K-Dog might full you up. Service was nice and organized, we will be back when we are on this side of town.

Amazing food. Super friendly people. First time coming here. Tried the potato corn dogs korean style with the dusting of sugar on top. And the strawberry cheesecake Bing su. I REALLY recomend the Bing su on hot days. The Bing Su is shaved ice, condensed milk, and then topping choice. The strawberry cheesecake one had strawberries cheesecake bites and ice cream.

Prices are the same, but they're making smaller portions and putting less toppings. Not really happy paying $12 for mostly shaved ice, but I guess..economy. Photos attached for reference of the changes being made.. I.e. For the large black sesame shaved ice, there is now what seems like a "dusting" of black sesame seed powder and chopped peanuts, half the amount of sliced almonds, half the amount of red bean paste, and a pinch of black sesame mochi chunks (interesting change as they used to be plain mochi

This was our first time here as well as trying everything we did. First I tried the Matcha Milk Tea with Boba and I loved it. After that, I had the potato corn dog, sweet potato corn dog Korean Style, and the ramen corn dog. My boyfriend got the ramen corn dog as well as the cheddar corn dog. They allowed us to have one of every sauce. While there, I was only able to finish one corn dog before I was full. I was very happy with everything from the service and politeness and helpfulness from the employees and

Have been to other Sul Bing Su many times, this is very disappointing experience. The ice is coarse and has hard chunk inside, and outside melted into soup so quick. Not taste like freshly shaved ice, more like prepared, froze and then defrost type. Last year I stopped by ordered a dozen of mochinut to go, the girl at register rolled her eyes on me after I skip the tip. I clearly didn?t learn my lesson.

Really ya?ll? This place when its new opened they made very decent food. But now? we bought 3 cheddar cheese & 2 other type. Look at the picture? WHERE ARE MY CHEESE ??????!!!

The facility is very clean and casual. There has always been a decent crowd of people there the during my visits. Their bing su is really good, but its a bit to expensive for what it is. It about 10$ for a large which is probably 75% just shaved ice, and the 25% is the flavors. The large is enough to share with 2-4 people though.

One of my Korean friends took me here and assured me it is vegetarian. The food that i had was sweet potatoes wrapping a cheese stick around. Totally a different experience. But It was just fries sprinkled with sugar.

I really love the corn dogs. It has great taste and value. Do not understand estimate how much these corn dogs can fill you up. The mochi donuts are also super delicious ??.

Latest Korean dessert in Katy. Fresh ingredients, different layers of ice creating a delicious indulgence ? crunchy shaved ice on the bottom, smooth ?creamy? ice in the middle, condensed milk, ?fluffy? snowflake-like ice on top. Whole blueberries, quality cheesecake, tasty red beans... these are just some of the selection. Prices are on the high end, with tax and tips $10+ for a small bowl. Noticed lots of customers are sharing.

Taiyaki true milk ice cream was very tasty! The new chungchun was amazing especially that they are accommodating to have only cheese. The cheese is very stretchy as you can see it is very tasty. At first I thought it would be very salty and overwhelmingly savory, however you have the option to add sugar on top and it really makes a difference! I recommend having the cheesy corn dog with ketchup and honey mustard! The large bingsu is really large and was very delicious! It does get a bit too sweet but sharin

These are now my favorite donuts. I've never had donuts like these and I like them more than any other donut I've tried. We got the ube one and also the korean shaved ice with berry toppings, and hot dog and cheese on a stick. They were all really good, especially the donuts and shaved ice. Im from Hawaii and we love shaved ice. This is like a milky shaved ice with ice cream and toppings. I was very pleasantly surprised and impressed with it. Highly recommend trying this place if you like mochi or donuts or

Neat place with great food. We love the Korean dogs and mochinuts. Wish there was more seating.

Definitely better than many bing su/shaved ice places in houston area. Its pretty crowded most times ( especially late dinner when everyone wants desserts ). My favorite bing su flavor is the black sesame and i can confidently say its the best black sesame bingsu in texas. ( ive been to places in dallas and austin). Its slightly pricey but not over priced! I come here with friends or family often! Recommended!!!

I went here with my friends and ordered green tea shaved ice as well as iced coffee. Both were great. Service was fast and friendly, and they permitted us to stay for around 2 hours without raising a complaint. I would recommend this place for their Asian deserts, because that?s their specialty.

Stopped by BingSu?s Grand opening today and I have to say hot dog step aside because Korean Hot Dogs takes it to a whole new level of yummy-ness. Order: Ramen bun dog Excellent it was the perfect amount of crunchy texture Jalape?o spicy dog The sausage it was different it was flavorful And had a little kick but not too spicy If I could have the ramen B?n with the jalape?o dog and add cheese would be my favorite combo. Options Add sugar - YES Add ketchup - Yes and some on the side Add honey mustard - ye

I ordered mango strawberry bingsu added on blueberry. I would give Bingsu Sul Katy a 4 out of 5 stars. It is a great place to go for a delicious and refreshing bingsu. Just limited seats, 20 mins wait for the order

So I would give at least a 4 store but the customer service is trash. They give off sad, lonely, depressed and forced to work lol. This hot Cheeto dog doesn?t have a bit of hot and spicy, it?s very bland. I got full though so whatever. The wait time was too long for a corn dog I think. If I ever go back I?ll order in advance so I won?t have to deal with the poor customer service. Mean lil kids lol

We were a fan of their food but we went thrice to this location and ordered a donut and the guy said they were out of donuts and the person next in line ordered a donut and magically it came back in stock the serving person was so rude and it felt so uncomfortable. Customer service is a key to every small shop which they failed to adhere We will not go to this place again

I want everything in the menu!!!!! Soooo over the top amazing! The cone us made fresh, with a pocket of custard (or Nutella), then filled with your choice of soft serve. Bing Su bowl is first coated with cocoa powder, filled with shaved ice cream ice of choice, topped with more cocoa and Oreo chunks with whip!

This is not the first nor, the second time I tried giving this place a chance. Wait, time is ridiculous I waited 30 minutes for two corn dogs, and the people who ordered after me were getting their stuff before mine. This is now the second time my corn dog tasted raw on the inside. Much rather go to Katy Mills OH K-dog WAY BETTER!!

The ice texture is PERFECT! Must try with the roasted soy bean or black sesame powder. Best taiyaki I've had in Houston as well!

I had the mozzarella potato Korean style which has sprinkled sugar on top. I was a bit skeptical of sugar and cheese combo, but it was amazing. I'm glad I took the chance to try this interesting combo. I also had the mozzarella with hot cheetos dust. This one was also good but I like the potato one the best. This area is poppin with culture and new places to try every time. It's a bit of a drive for me but every thing I've had is super worth it! Also the young man at the register was very helpful and attent

Best strawberry bingsu I have ever had!

The shaved ice is amazing here!! Highly recommended during a hot day. The mochi donuts are also really good; they come out with different flavors every week.

I love milk soft serve and they have it here! The custard taiyaki was really good! They gave me a sample of their brown sugar boba ice cream and it's also awesome.

I?m honestly shocked that I have yet to post a review here, better late than never. I have been coming to bingsu since they very first opened in Katy Asian Town. I?ve seen the store change, the menu change, and the staff as well. I love the shaved ice so much. My go to order is an Oreo Bingsu with no whip cream, and extra extra oreos on top. I order it so much, the workers know and recognize me whenever I place my order. The Oreo Bingsu is the sweet treat I crave all the time, I have to limit myself to goi

Loved trying their Korean style corn dogs. I got the sweet potato and cheese, was not disappointed. They're mochi donuts were great as well and actually change every week so be sure to come back for other flavors. I recieved the food fast so it could be a quick stop for lunch or if you have a sweet tooth!

Every person who works here is super nice, the food/snacks are so great! Truthfully my family and I have been here more times this month than the grocery store lol. The place is always clean and it?s located in such a great plaza. GREAT for the whole FAMILY!!!

It's such a cute little restaurant, and the staff is so helpful! The food is so fresh and delicious. I personally really enjoyed their mozzarella stick with Hot Cheetos! They're are well done, and delicious! Totally recommend trying this place out; it's also very affordable.

Absolutely loved it. Fresh fruit in the Bing Su. I had the Taro ice cream in the Taiyaki with custard filling. The cone was crispier than I would have liked but still yummy. Atmosphere was very relaxing, clean and trendy. Employees were very friendly and fast! Definitely worth the hour drive from home, after having lunch at Hmart

Loved this spot. The cheese hot dogs are super good, the mochi donuts were not my favorite. The bing su spot in Bellaire made them better but I LOVED the strawberry cheesecake bing su!!

Love coming to here to get their famous MochiDonuts they are so soft & fluffy ???????it?s hard trying not to take a lot of boxes of mochiDonuts they don?t last the way home

It's soft serve ice cream and shaved ice. It was pretty good. I came here after having Korean food at the same mini mall. I'm glad I did. I had the black sesame ice cream with a nutella filling and sprinkles but they knew how to make it nice.

?Strawberry and mango Bing Su: 5 out of 5. my kids love this, and so do I. Any dessert with mango and strawberry is almost always a winner. The Bing Su ice is quite unique, and it is different than the ribbon ice at some of the Taiwanese or Chinese dessert places. The texture is like finally shaven frozen sweet milk, but the texture resembles fluffy powder snow like you ski on. Quite a delightful experience as it melts in your mouth. It?s so good I even like eating it by itself once the fruit is gone, and e

Have a sweet tooth? Stop by and treat yourself to some Delicious Donuts, fruit shaved ice treats along with several other snack bites.

I really wanted to like this place, as I read and heard many good things from people. I have been convincing my husband to take me here for awhile, and it is a long ways from us JUST to get ice cream. Upon entering the store, I had an idea of what I wanted based on the posts from Instagram. I was hoping they had the Vietnamese soft serve since I recently saw the post, however they did not have it. So I went with my second choice, which would have been the matcha and true milk swirl. MORE BAD NEWS!!! The ma

Today is my last visit. If I had known I had received my food in a broken bowl, I would never have eaten it. It was covered in toppings and returned immediately. I've never seen food sold in broken dishes. So disappointed.

Ordered the classic mochinut and the blueberry Bing su. The mochinut are good. But the Bing su is not worth $8. This is only ice. The cream has no taste at all.

Have been here many times and always leave satisfied! Edit: Always amazing! Great atmosphere, friendly service, tasty food!

I first had Taiyaki in LA several months ago, so I was excited that Bing Su was serving it. I was a bit disappointed in the Taiyaki, the milk soft serve taste like plain vanilla (nothing special) and the one I received was a bit burnt on the edges.

I?ve been coming here since day one of being built. It?s changed a lot. Customer service has never been good to be honest. The people there seem like they hate their job. As the years have gone by, especially recently, if you customize your order, they?ll most likely get it wrong. The donuts aren?t that fresh tasting anymore. They are more soggy now. Another thing about this place that annoys me, is if you come 2 hours before they close they?ll be out of 95% of the donuts. There should always be donuts eve

Really good food ?? Alot of choices but you cant go wrong with any. They have a variety of sauces as well to try all good ????

Came across this gem and was pleasantly surprised! Great flavors and spot for dessert. Definitely will be coming back.

Green tea wasn?t as good as expected, unfortunately. I liked the mango bingsu better, but the cream at the top isn?t necessary

Love their taiyaki ice cream! You get a choice of multiple ice cream flavors (Milk, Matcha, Taro, and Black Sesame), choice of filling for your taiyaki (Nutella or Custard), and choice of topping. They also have shaved ice cream bowls as well.

Love this place! The bing su is so refreshing and the hot dogs are fun! The mochi doughnuts are so tasty and cute!

My first experience was not the best. Firstly the customer service is to be questioned, a smile and simply hello would go very far! Ordered several Bing Su. It was ok. The mozzarella corn dog tasted like it was cooked in old oil and was not edible. Don't know if I'll be back in a hurry.

Oh my their ice creams and BingSu (shaved frozen milk) are Amazing!! Their presentation is also a creative art of it's own!! Staff so helpful and patient with ignorant guests like me. Try this place and thank me later??

Mango bingsu was delicious! Perfect and refreshing for a hot day out. Atmosphere was very aesthetically pleasing. Recommend!

The oreo cookie, strawberry and mixed berry shaved ice were delicious! This was such a refreshingly different dessert and I would definitely recommend this place.

Poor customer service and bad business practice!!. we asked for extra plastic spoons and some water. they said they ran out of spoons for my shaved ice, and there?s no free drinking water (only bottled water for purchase). Every restaurant in Asian town gives free drinking water but bing Su. They play Covid card!

This place was good when I first started going to it, but the quality really fell off after a while. The potato mozzarella corndogs were so good before but now every time i get them they're soggy and even taste undercooked and doughy. We got the mango cheesecake bing su and the large isn't as big as it used to be. The mangoes were really soggy and not fresh and it was bland and just wasn?t what it used to be.

First time coming, got a tiramisu mochi nut and mini Oreo bing su, both were pretty good.

Fantastic dessert for the whole family. Fruit was fresh and sweet and the organic milk shaved ice underneath was a great palate cleanser between bites. Will be back

i love this shop its soooo good. their ice cream and bingsu bowls taste so yummy! i try to come here as often as possible i have the biggest sweet tooth and this place satisfies my cravings :-)

Our new favorite place! The rice potato dogs were delicious! The mozzarella was extra stretchy and the breading wasn?t thick like other places. It was a great and flavorful balance. The milk tea was also good but boba was hard so I was pass on that. We did the brown sugar milk tea with less sweetness. They also had the mochi donuts and those were hands down the best! Bigger than other places and it tasted better too.

Love the Bing Su & Mochinuts here! Always a great spot for a sweet treat ????

Place was pleasant. Bing su is on the sweeter side but still refreshing. Would be awesome to have this place closer to Houston.

The mango shaved ice was extraordinary and the coffee was super good ?? definitely delicious and service was good ??

(Update) This is my top 2 spot in Katy, but since the pandemic it's been my only go-to. So, I racked up some reward points and when we try to redeem it, they said that they couldn't give us the reward the screen claims I have, even after I showed them from their sign-in system ???? - - - - If you want variety of ??/bingsu in Houston, this is it. Yeah, that's right. Not just Katy, Houston. We shared a small and we barely finished it, so good!

I came here for the mochi donut. I was not disappointed. I got the earl grey flavor one. The wafer on top of it was pretty stale though.

This place is super cute and the staff is incredibly sweet!! If you?re scared to venture out don?t be, you?re able to try out the different flavors they have before you make a decision. It?s very cute and customizable!

Not sure if I got a dud or if something changed with the bing su. This is usually always a stop for me when I come to town. The ice wasn?t flavorful and the whole dish lacked sweetness. It also had a texture that made it seem it was previously shaved and stored in a freezer instead of freshly shaved.

Fast and friendly service I got the potato ?? and the sweet potato mozzarella with sugar. What I liked most were the mochinuts

Tried it for the first time today. We wanted to try Korean corn dogs, and we were very impressed. Definitely recommend it.

Lovely presentation and delicious options. We enjoy the blueberry cheese cake.
