It's been 10 years since I've been to Harrisonburg, but I was always remember Strite's donuts. I had someone personally delivery these for me and they were just as good and fresh as I had remembered them to be. They have the best jelly donuts (ideal jelly to dough ratio) and I always loved their bluebery donuts.
These are some awesome donuts. The flavors are delicious, the prices are very fair and the staff is awesome. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a sweet treat that?s local
Strite?s Donuts are DELICIOUS!!! They are really fresh, soft and airy donuts. You can?t stop at one! Not living in the area we stop by every chance we pass through town!!! We buy extra for friends and family! Worth it!!!
Conveniently located off of 42 near EMU, this donut shop is a valley favorite. Many tasty do ut options, varying in flavors and size. They even have super cute baby donuts. Give them a try if you're in the area, or watch for the food truck in surrounding towns.
Oh my goodness, the Eclairs !! Each donut, as you take that bite, you can taste the love that was put into the goodness of making each one just right. The sugar cinnamon yum! The real jelly filled taste like my grandmother 's jelly rolls. Homemade Goodness made with Love is what Strites Donuts are all about and I personally Thank you!!
I had one of these blueberry donuts at late-night breakfast in Festival dining hall tonight and it was incredible! I've never heard of Strite's before, but I'm excited to order more in the future. Arguably the best donut I've ever had.
I know the description says gas station donuts, but I've had many donuts in my life and these are hands down the best! I don't understand how the average star rating is anything less than a 5. I was about to pick up two dozen this morning from the trailer behind John Henry's and was disappointed they weren't there today.
Amazing hot and fresh yeast donuts. They were huge and a nice balance of dense yet fluffy. We got the blueberry, chocolate, and glazed.
I have no idea how anyone can give these a negative review. And I think the price is amazing for FRESH donuts. These donuts are delicious. I felt zero guilt eating these because these are hands down the best donuts I have ever had and my entire family agrees (which never happens!). Not to mention how sweet they are and they wrote "Have a great day" on our box.

I don't get a chance to visit Strite's Donuts often enough to enjoy their specialty filled Donuts I view on their Facebook page but whenever I arrived to Strite's donuts I always enjoy their glazed donut holes and Bavarian creme eclairs. I always wanted to try the peach and apple filled ones but the one filled donut I remember the most was the lemon filled I thought was delicious when their food truck visited the Winchester Church of God and that was three to four years ago. I hope their business continues

Was hoping for better lighter consistency based on the other reviews. Lamars sets my standard and they are very hard to beat. People were very nice, but too heavy dough and the Bavarian creme in the eclair was non distinct. The chocolate top was very tasty with a great consistency.

The best donuts in Harrisonburg. They so big and dense, one Strite?s donut is worth a whole dozen from the chain brands. Plus Carl and family are also incredibly friendly and welcoming!
We've spent 5 years trying to coordinate our semiannual travel through VA with Strite's Donuts availability after our initial chance encounter. We finally did it and were not disappointed!!! One strong recommendation...eat them fresh within a few hours. They're still good the next day, but not as incredible as when they are fresh. This is not a criticism at all... it's just the nature of such a rare delicacy!
Found this morning by accident. Donuts were warm, fresh, chewy and delicious. They are pretty large, just fyi. Bought 6 stayed fresh all day. Highly recommend!
I've tried them a few times now over the years. Both in Stephens City and in Woodstock. I thought it was just me but last week I picked up a dozen from the Woodstock site since we had family members still at the house. Everyone agreed they were ok but nothing outstanding. A few of us thought ours had a greasy taste to it. Nice folks running the trailer but I cannot agree these were great donuts.
These donuts are the BEST I've ever had. They are soft, light and fluffy. I'm visiting from FL and thought I'd support a local business. I'm glad I did. Very nice and friendly employees.

Good service, neat food truck atmosphere. The doughnuts were warm and freshly made. Sadly, I have had better. They do taste a lot like the ones my mother used to make but as much as I would love to have one of my mom's doughnuts just one more time I do realize there are better tasting ones but I will stop by here again when in town because the doughnuts in California are too far.
We stopped early in the morning while traveling south. The donuts were ice cold as if they had been frozen. They were heavy and lacked flavor. The chocolate frosting had little chocolate flavor. We tossed them out as the calories were not worth it. We were very disappointed as this shop gets good reviews.

I ate one of their glazed doughnuts that a friend bought to our office. It reminded me of the hometown bakery that I grew up with as a child. It melted in my mouth! It was the best doughnut I've had in over 30 years. 5 stars!
Best donut shop ever!! Their glazed are probably my favorite, but whenever they have maple flavored, that is my jam. They have multiple locations and certain times that they are at each location.

We attempted to go on Monday, 3/18. The gentlemen said they had just returned from a festival over the weekend and would not be open that day, but would be open Tuesday. No problem. We went back Tuesday at about 945 and they were not open. If you're actually looking for a donut place, stick to Dunkin. At least they are open.

Picked up 6 donuts from these folks, usually I like to eat just one donut but this donut was really good so I started one chocolate and then got into the powdereds and whoa nelly this donut is the shiznit. You'd be nuggin futs to not stop and try these ones. I give it 5 stars and also must thank Holy Baby Jesus in his manger full of stuffed animals and frankinscense too, thank you my Baby boy.

With all the hype surrounding the Krispy Kreme newly opened store in Harrisonburg, Strites remains a far better choice for fresh donuts. The staff is friendly and their donuts are so much better.
