Great donuts! great location! Great staff! Great vibes! Such a fun little donut shop downtown. Try the old fashioned donut! I also tried the blueberry filled and it was delicious! I like that they have both old fashioned, and yeast donuts, and both are yummy. They are a good price too. It's a good place to spend a quiet Sunday morning with coffee and donuts.

This was maybe more of a 3.5 star experience. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and picked out 4 donuts. The place had 2 customers silently sitting and maybe working on their computers but the whole place felt sterile and lifeless. I wasn't greeted and stood at the counter for a few minutes while the lone employee arranged items until I finally asked if I could order. We saw a sign out front advertising fresh apple fritters and wandered in. We ended up buying apple fritters and a chocolate old fashioned and a plain old fashioned! Wow, they were great! Dough was soft and flavorful. The fritters had chunks of apple and a nice glaze. Prices were great. We didn't get coffee, but nice variety and it smelled really good. We will definitely stop here again before leaving Knoxville!

Amazing coffee and donut shop serving up arguably the best donuts and baked goods you?ll ever have. The apple fritter will be tough to beat while the donuts are dense, rich and just as great. The coffee also was fresh and strong. I highly recommend stopping by if in downtown.

Nice coffee & doughnut shop. The owner makes the doughnuts at the larger location down the road and brings them fresh everyday. The vanilla ice doughnut is ?? ?? It?s thick and fluffy and has layering to it. Chai latte is very spicy and excellent?drip coffee is quality too. Stop by!

Umm, I'm sorry, what? We placed an order for donuts with Uber Eats and they waited for about 15 min and then canceled the order saying "they were too busy to accept the order right now". Ok, I guess that means you don't want to make the sale. Nice customer service. You do know that if you're very busy and don't want to accept orders, you can disable delivery service ordering, right? We stopped here on a road trip and loved the doughnuts so much that we made another stop on the way back!! Their vegan cake doughnuts are delicious! We also loved the old fashioned style, they had a coffee flavored old fashioned doughnut that was phenomenal. We were totally heartbroken they didn't have it the second time we came back, ha! Would definitely recommend, and grab a coffee while you are there. They make a great shaken espresso!

We got there early to pick up donuts for the office. At 8:00am the barista let us in but had no product to sell. We left at 8:15. No donuts at a donut shop is ridiculous. We saw the delivery person headed to the shop as we drove away. You would hope a business would operate by the hours they set. Status Dough did not.

A small donut shop on Gay St. in Knoxville. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had coffee that was not the best I ever had but drinkable. I did however have a vegan snickerdoodle donut that was really good. When I hear vegan I think tastes lousy but this was not the case. I'm not a vegetarian but am not opposed to anything that tastes good. It was a good donut. This place is a little expensive but worth a stop.

Our favorite was the honey glazed, maple & vegan glazed donuts. They were a perfect balance of sweetness that we prefer. The old fashioned doughnut tasted oliy.If you break it open you can see it at the bottom of the doughnut. The strawberry filled doughnut was ok but the filling tasted weird.

Due to food sensitivities, I am not able to try the doughnuts because they are fried in soybean oil, but they look delicious. I tried an almond milk latte, and it was good! A nice treat to keep you warm walking around market square on a chilly morning. Employee was friendly and kind.

A very tasty buttermilk doughnut and really good coffee. The doughnuts are as big as your face and the selection is simple with no silly contrived offerings. The doughnut I had was filled with Nutella. It was absolutely delicious. The coffee was strong and tasted great, as well. The workers were funny and pleasant to talk to. I loved this place!

Just like the other two locations, this place is great and every way! I think the donuts are worth the money because they really put time love and care and top notch ingredients and you can taste it! The only complaint I could possibly come up with is that they could make a few more seasonal auctions, but besides that this place is perfect

3.5 - I didn?t like the vegan glazed donuts. They were soft and crumbly like cake. Nice atmosphere for a quick stop in but very limited seating. Street parking available if you get lucky and can parallel park. If not, state street parking garage is super close by.

Came here because of Adam Ragusea. A bit disappointed as the Old Fashioned had a hair in it! The Apple Fritter was good and the glazed was good as well. Overall, this is a good donut shop, but honestly, it is far less impressive than the hype I got from Adam Ragusea. It's really no different than any reasonable donut shop. Nice man at the counter. The apple fritter melted in my mouth, plenty of apple chunks. Go there! That was my review three years ago and I still remember how good that apple fritter was. I'm back in Knoxville and I'm headed back to Status Dough!

Best donuts in Knoxville, if you love simple but incredibly well made, no nonsense donuts then this is the place for you. Both cake and yeast donuts. They are extra large, so a half-dozen donuts will come in the typical dozen donuts size box. Excellent espresso drinks, as well.

The donuts were very good and so was the coffee. The raised donuts were fluffy yet dense. They had that texture that you find at a good donut place. The old fashioned donuts had a nice crust on the outside. We were in town for the weekend and went back a second day.

Happened across a TikTok about this place a couple weeks before flying into Knoxville for a wedding, so of course we had to try it out. The yeast donut was totally unlike the raised donuts we have out west, and absolutely worth stopping in for. Hopefully we'll be back this way soon, and next time we'll bring friends.

Perfectly constructed cortado. Temperature was ideal for immediate drinking and not cooled by any under steamed milk. Speaking of which, the ratio and consistency of the milk was well balanced and great mouth feel. The line can get long but the product was well worth the wait.

I stopped by the shop on Bearden hill in Knoxville because I just happened to be at the doctor's office next door. I had heard that those were the best donuts in Knoxville. So I bought 4 different kinds and them home. My husband and I decided they were absolutely the best donuts we ever had! They were so big that we had to cut them in half and had enough for 2 days. They are not cheap - but are worth the money! Very light and fluffy.

Hours of operation are 8 to 4, not 8 to 8. I wasted 40 minutes driving out of my way, and walking a mile in total a mile in the rain, just to satisfy a pregnancy craving I have. Their donuts are so good but c'mon! Either update your hours or tell me on the phone when I call!! (I called earlier today and the lady answered multiple questions.)

Small batch donuts are always such a tasty treat! The location is small but I'm guessing most folks just grab and go, which is exactly what I did! Looks like they have a bunch of different options but apple fritters, Boston cream and the other standards are all on hand.

Very confused by the pricing of this place. Paid $8 for a ?medium? iced latte with oat milk. I ordered a large one, she said she heard medium. We were visiting Knoxville for the weekend and saw the reviews so decided to check it out. We should have tried somewhere else. Latte wasn?t worth the price.

These donuts are heavenly??. They?re large and fluffy and perfect. Some donut shops put your donuts in a paper bag which causes the frosting/glaze/toppings to rub off but Status Dough uses the clear, recyclable, to-go containers that allow plenty of space for donut toppings and no fear of them getting knocked off.

Loved this place! We ordered the chocolate iced, lemon poppy seed, and coffee cake donuts as well as an espresso and decaf latte. All were delicious.

This place is so cute! The lines are never too long (which is impressive in Knoxville) and the donuts are so good and creative. My favorites are the lemon poppy seed donut and the chocolate dipped old fashioned.

I have literally been all over the country sampling donuts and the coffee old fashioned here is in top 3 of all time I've tried. Very nice fella working the counter as well.

The gal behind the counter made me an excellent ristretto, on her first attempt! All I had to do was explain that a ristretto was all the grounds of an expresso but made with only half the water, and zip zam zowie, a crema-rich, uber concentrated godshot appeared! The buttermilk doughnut was further icing on the cake.
