First time I went in here the girl rolled her eyes at me for ordering a sandwich, she?s had a bad attitude every time I?ve been in there. I think they finally fired her cause she had the worst customer service ever. I work around the corner and come all the time with my co worker and we are absolutely done with this place. They through a fit over making a sandwich 1.5 hours before they even close. 12:30 is lunch time. When do they expect you to order? 10:00 for lunch? I?ve never seen such lazy workers in my
I have to tell them to add cream cheese or it is a dry bagel with a thin layer of cream cheese as if you're buttering toast. If I'm paying $5 for a bagel then it better be worth $5. Got another bagel today, dry as can be because there's barely any cream cheese. If you don't know what a bagel and cream cheese is supposed to be like, then don't sell them. Sure wish I knew how to post a picture of my pathetic bagel and cream cheese. So not worth what I'm being charged.

Salmon bagel to DIE for. Super fresh, quick to make sandwiches, fresh donuts. Haven?t had anything bad here. Food is delicious and can always count on good donuts. So excited to have an other sandwich shop in town.
I ordered a plain bagle with egg and sausage this morning and got a strawberry one instead. My friend ordered a croissant with egg and sausage and got some weird bread.

The donut flavor is horrible frosting changed flavors and not in a good way. The cost has increased way to much (eg $3.50 fir donut holes) I used to come once a week because I have kids and now I might go every 2 months or so. If they weren?t the only donut shop up here I?d never go to them. The girls behind the counter need to smoke more as well not friendly at all
Great spot for donuts. And if you're into Boba, it is one of the few locations that offer it. Their menu offerings were actually limited. Upon asking, they did not have several ingredients, so options were limited for meals aside from donuts and drinks. A few high tables and chairs. Not ideal for small children/toddlers to dine in, but adequate for a quick stop and coffee & donut.
Took forever to get food, Bagels weren't toasted, barely any cream cheese. I won't be back.
Unfortunately , I had a different experience with the staff this visit! Opon entry i wasn't greeted strike one . Strike two was the fact I left $3.60 cash tip, I still didn't get a thank you kiss my @$$ or nothing . It's not how I would like my staff dealing with regular guest ( happend on nov 4 8am ) two younger ladies
Under new ownership and I think they changed the donut recipe. The chocolate was flaking off in big chunks and the apple fritter had no apples. Not sure why but that was odd. Never had to worry about flaking donuts before.
The best donuts I've ever had, I don't even live in the area anymore and we still compare any donut we have to these. The apple fritters, bear claws and old fashioned are my favorites, but you could be blindfolded, point randomly and still end up with an absolutely stellar selection. Very polite and hardworking employees, one of my favorite businesses in Calaveras.

This place charges more than the posted price and then a has the nerve to not honor the price it says in front of your face. The girl with the rose tattoo on the back of her neck has the worst attitude. Pay attention your total here. You're being charged more than the advertised price.
Update: as of July 15th, 2023 - there are new owners of the business and they did a face lift to the place. Better lighting, looks inviting! Newer drink selection in refrigerator, new over the counter drinks like Thai tea and such! Also they added bagels and few other pastries in addition to the donuts we traditionally love! Always friendly, the donuts are fresh daily and a wide variety of flavors.

Doughnuts are always fresh, the young lady who runs the shop is always very nice, very efficient, and courteous. I stop by every Thursday morning and I'm able to get in and out so I can make it to the kids school on time. Definitely worth the stop.
Haven't been here in quite a while, but I was pleasantly surprised when I recently visited. The menu has expanded significantly and love all the drink choices.
Tired the new breakfast with an orange juice from tropicana...the sandwich was bland and was cut in half with an overload of cheese, so it literally fell apart on me. The sausage was undercooked and tasted terrible and I bit into bone bites in the meat. The orange juice was disgusting and I blame Tropicana and manufacturer of the sausage patties. The pre-made egg scrambles were bland also. Just do donuts!
What a nice little place to have coffee with your favorite doughnut. Their beautiful doughnuts are right up there with the best I've seen for the last 40+ years. The best part is that they are reasonably priced as well. Go enjoy a box for the car...
Arrive on Sunday morning at 9:45am to find out they only have about 8 donuts left with 3 hours left of business. What business just say ?oh well? part way through the day? You have better luck getting donuts at the gas station.

THIS is an old fashion doughnut backery where all they make are doughnuts. For those of us that have been around a while and remember how wonderful the doughnuts used to taste? Well Star Donuts is still making them the old fashioned way. Delicious, melt in your mouth doughnuts that go great with a good cup of coffee. So do yourselves a favor and don't pass by Star Donuts without stopping and buying a few boxes of doughnuts. They're open at 5:30AM-4PM Monday thru Friday and 6AM-4PM Sunday. They're closed on

They have the best Donuts here! They are always fresh and aren't super greasy. You have to get there early though or they will sell out!
