Easily some of the best donuts that I have ever had. They are soft and delicious and come in several different varieties. Service is fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable. This is a popular place, and if they run out before 11am, they are done for the day. So, if it's later in the morning, you may want to call ahead to make sure they are still operating.or that they still have the type of donut you are wanting. This is a cash only establishment. Cards are not accepted.

Get there around 6-7am or you?ll miss out. They are usually sold out early. Best donuts I?ve ever had. So doughy and delicious. Can?t be beat.

As a former resident of Terre Haute, this used to be a staple. I was passing by on a business trip. I was able to talk my boss into making a stop(I harassed him until he relented). We got there late, not a whole lot of selection left, not any of the classic glazed donuts, for certain. But buy the donuts, I did. This isn't an eatery, it's a donut shop. If you're passing through, make time to go early. Excellent texture and flavors.

Stopped here to check out the square donuts. It was super neat. However, for it being before 9 am they had a very limited selection left to choose from. It was the last day before they were open before closing for vacation, but I was disappointed in the lack of options. The cost was decent. You can't dine in. You can get yourself a coffee.

Donuts were round...until Richard Comer Sr made them square. We had never had a square donut before, and I don?t just mean the brand. Donuts have always been round so why the attraction to square? This place is incredible, absolutely prefect! Seemingly a staple of Terre Haute, IN this place is just amazing. Its old school, cash only, and has a stunning feel of the old days when people were nice and donuts were ok all the time. They close whenever they run out of donuts and that's usually mid morning. We went on a Sunday around 10pm and they still have plenty left. Go get yourself some Square Donuts...or 5 like me.

Once again I left a happy customer. Loaded up the car & brought a few boxes of deliciousness home to the family. We don't get to Terre Haute too often so when we get to have Square Donuts it's a real treat. It a tradition! Been going here for over 50 yrs. when the original bakery was on 63. The only thing bad about this place is the cash only policy but typically anyone who's been in Terre haute for any amount of time is aware of this policy and is prepared.

As I recall, the glazed square donuts are the best around. Problem is they run out of them WAY TO EARLY. The last SEVERAL attempts both locations were out by mid morning. Make more glazed donuts!!!

Square donuts is probably the most unprepared business I have ever seen. They never stick to their open or closing schedule. They only take cash, and they do not prepare enough donuts for customers. Got to the establishment at 10:10am and they told me that they were sold out of donuts. Mind you this is my fifth time coming to this place and I still have not tried a single donut. So I am just fed up with stores lack of availability for all customers. But I can imagine that they don?t care about one customers

I would have loved to tell you how the donuts are however Google said square donuts was open until 2 PM. Their website said Square donuts was open until 3 PM door said it was open until 2 PM but it was closed up tight at 1:45.

Only 4/5 because of cash only payments. When local businesses want supported they should cater towards the norm, especially in a college town with a younger generation.

I'm not sure what happened to this place over the last year, but I wish you all the luck getting a doughnut if you aren't there when the doors open. I was just there at 7:30am on a Saturday and they were out of 2/3rds of my order. This has been the case the last 3 times I've visited. The doughnuts are delicious, if you can get one. Being the only good doughnut in town just to be out of product before 8am consistently is bonkers.

Cash only in 2024 is insane. This isn't 1993 anymore. Get with the times. This has to be a money laundering scheme. They can just raise the prices to accommodate for card processing fees and offer a cash discount to their original price. What a joke.

I am gonna be honest. They have the best donuts. They just dont know how to run a business. I have been there 3 times this month. I was there at 9 a.m. August 21.2023. worker cars in the parking lot. I LOVE Square Donuts!!!! Always super fast and friendly service, and the same amazing quality every single time. Their prices are ridiculously cheap for the quality of donut, 91? for a single donut just sounds too good to be true. My only complaint is that their parking lot is not the best design, it?s very easy to get stuck behind the drive thru line leaving the store, which is a little frustrating. I also wish they were open later, but that?s a small price to pay for getting donuts made fresh every day.

I used to pedal my bike to their 3rd street location back in the 80?s & they?re still as good today as back then. I?ve driven all over this country (CDL A Truck Driver) and had donuts from just about every state & these are still the freshest best tasting donuts bar none.

Best donuts in town period. Biggest complaint is the cash only policy. I've had to pass on it many times after realizing I had no cash just credit card. The service is quick and prices are more than fair. Grabing a dozen or two and sharing with co-workers is a great way to brighten people's day!

In my opinion they absolutely beat any of the other "popular" brands out there. They have their classic square shaped glazed yeast donut, cream and chocolate and maple filled. If you don't want to work in customer service -don't work in customer service. It doesn't matter what day or time of the week I go in -there is constantly rude staff. Whether it be at the window or inside. This morning more particularly it was inside. They know that it's a weekend and they are going to be busy as it is one of our towns staple of a place to go. They need to figure out a balance of handling each customer with a smile and kindness because I got anyting but that this morning.

Good donuts. Unique only in their shape. Variety and flavor are pretty standard for any donut shop, which is why I settled at 4/5. Big thing here though is you can really tell they are freshly made that day. Which is much better than the chains like Dunkin that thaw and serve.

The last four times that I?ve been in town I?ve tried to get the glazed square donuts. I get there between 9-10am and they?ve been sold out EVERY TIME. I watch the people in the back doing absolutely nothing when they could be making glazed donuts. It?s TWO hours before closing; make the donuts. Tired of the ?get here earlier?. Absolutely the best donuts in the world. With sushi being my death row last meal the square donut is an easy death row breakfast choice. If I had one complaint it would be that they only take cash. If that's my biggest complaint you must be pretty close to perfect.

Who doesn't love fresh donuts. Everytime I go they always have a smile on their face and are happy to help you choose what dozen you want! It's a must if you are new to town or if you are just wanting a soft and sweet donut that melts in your mouth!!

Cash only, but well worth that little extra effort. They are easily the best donuts in Terre Haute! A unique place with a ton of different flavors and fillings. They're also pretty cheap compared to a lot of good donut places I've been to.

First time ever to Square donuts. Was going to get donuts for the whole shift at a factory I work. With an average of 3-4 each over a 12 hour shift. Drove halfway across town to find them open but with the doors locked, and signs saying "drive thru only", and "cash only". Took 2 seconds for this shop to loose my business. EVER.

Their donuts are so unique and delicious. Good prices and good selection. Any friend from out of town I try to take here. Only thing I would change is I wish they would be open later. 3pm is too early if you want to take a friend after work.

Skip the chain restaurants and gas station donuts, this local family owned donut shop is the best around. There is a line for the drive through every day of the week. Their classic square shaped yeast donut is the most popular, but I also love the cake donuts and tractor tires. The seasonal pumpkin spice icing is also delicious. They always run out of donuts hours before they close. Today I went there at 11am for donuts they said they were out but they didn?t close until 3pm. THAT?S FOUR HOURS!!! The employee said that the person who makes the donuts leaves at 9:30 and when they run out no one can make more. Found this place online, viewed them menu and went in the morning. I asked about German chocolate doughnut holes, they kinda snipped you looked at wrong location, No I didn't I clearly picked Terre Haute. Maybe staff should be aware of happening before snipping, doughnuts were good but a tad too sweet, the doughnut holes were good, but the after taste seriously made me have the taste and smell of eating play-doh! Spent the day eating something salty to rid of the aftertaste.

You better dang call first. And you better know they do cash only, and sometimes only sell pre ordered boxes. Picked up some glazed squares, long johns and cake donuts on Saturday morning. The glazed were good but the long johns and cakes tasted weird. Did they change their chocolate supplier? It's a shame because the long johns were my favorite ones.

Absolute MUST stop for donut lovers. Pretty unqiue square shape for many of the donuts. The maple/pecan/cream filled long john is easily one of the best classic donuts in the country in my mind.
