Spudnuts Donuts

Good spot for donuts and coffee, just double chet what you get compared to what you ordered. They gave me the exact opposite of what I asked for and even verbally confirmed what I ordered, but still got it entirely wrong. So much for "no ham, only bacon please". ??

Spudnuts Donuts is one of the best donut shops in Sacramento. The best thing is they're very close to my work. They have an excellent selection of donuts there whenever I walk in at the morning. The donuts are fresh and not overly sweet. I feel a little less guilty eating their donuts! Lol

Local coffee, doughnuts, and breakfast Sandwich place. Been here a few times and it has not disappointed me. Found this while in search of coffee and wanting to burn time. Doughnuts are a plus ?? I had high hopes for this place due to the reviews, but upon arriving we weren?t greeted at all. We placed our ordered and left. I had hopes in the donuts but i noticed the shop nor the donuts smelled fresh. Mind you I?m pregnant and I could probably smell fresh donuts a mile away. I was disappointed overall with the experience and especially the taste. Safe to say I will never try them again.

Overall good food at Spudnuts Donuts. The coffee is good. Bagel with cream cheese Very Good. Croissant with bacon and egg (minus cheese) Very Good. Donuts: Lemon filled very good, good tartness. Jelly filled good. Pretty good donuts & good customer service, for the most part. Only problem I had was when I went in a little after they 1st opened in the morning, I tried getting a chocolate bar w/whipped cream & they said I couldn't get 1 for 30-40 mins because the donuts were all still too hot. I told them I didn't care if the whipped cream melted & they still said I had to wait if I wanted one.

The breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Always fresh and I love that they have Thai Tea here.

This place rocks! Great donuts, they could be more talkative and happy but a lot of places seem a little out-of-sorts because I am blind and my wife doesn't always engage like I do so that's that. Great donuts though, did I say that?

(Update) 2 Star Apple Fritter Good selection but overpriced. I Considering myself as an apple fritter connoisseur I would rate their fritter a solid C-. For $1.95, its was on the small side and it used standard glaze, and there was just a hint of apple. They cooked it like a standard donut, so no crisping on the edges, or those morsel chunks on the fringes. I have a pretty high standards when it comes to the big boy on the block, and Spudnuts has really lowered their standards but raised the price. I?l

Edit to update: been coming here for 7 years now and it's still my favorite donut & Vietnamese coffee shop in town.* The owner & employees are as fantastic as the service and, most importantly, food. Got Vietnamese coffees, donuts, and sausage, egg & cheese on croissants and will be most certainly be returning for countless more. Everything was stellar and everyone was really nice.

Classic nostalgic donut place. Recently under new ownership, that I think is improving the place :) Old fashioned and glazed donuts are nice, maple bacon bar is stuffed with bacon, personally my fav :)

I looooove this donut shop so much!! The donuts are fresh and they have a great selection. Plus I?ve tried their breakfast sandwiches and hands down the best! I would say overall, these are decent donuts. They have nice flavors but because they leave them out in the open, meaning the air gets to the donut making them taste a little stale. Our purchase: My husband got a maple old fashioned and a sausage egg croissant sandwich. He said both of his items were decent. I got their chocolate cake w/ chocolate frosting, which reminded me of a ?Little Debbie? cupcake, a chocolate bar, which was delicious btw, and the donut holes, which were super stale.

Been going here for decades. Very good and fresh donuts every time. With a drive through. I ALWAYS leave a little extra. Hope they never leave??

Apple fritters are the best I have ever eaten absolutely delicious

Went thru the drive-thru. Guy at window served me super fast and got the order out in less than 5 mins. The bacon, egg, cheese croissant was AMAZING. Also had a basic glaze and chocolate donut?both were best I?ve ever had!!! ??

Honestly not only best plain bagel with cream cheese in whole Sacramento, but also super affordable! Place itself would not attract me aesthetically BUT since I?ve given it a try I am constantly coming back ??

This small donut shop on Arden is always great. Good selection of donuts and they offer Vietnamese coffee!!! Espresso over ice with sweetened condensed milk, stir it up and Voila! Strong coffee with sweet cream. What's not to like? Glazed, old fashioned, buttermilk bars, donut holes, apple fritters. Yummy!!!

I love all the food donuts,crossiants,coffee only thing is the customer service the lady in there always seems annoyed like she doesn't want your business which is the wrong attitude to have when they recently opened a starbucks a block away the guy in there is very nice always smiling says thank you so pleasant

This used to be my favorite place. They get my order wrong at the drive through 40% of the time and today was no different I ordered 3 donuts and got two of what I asked for. I liked their donuts so I put up with it. But Lately it seems they changed cooks or recipes. Fritters are smaller and less glaze on all the donuts. Time to find a new place.

Best donut shop ever, plus it has a drive thru. The owners are so warm and friendly, they always have amazing fresh donuts, plus cronuts! They also make yummy breakfast sandwiches and super good coffee drinks. Their iced mocha is the best iced mocha I've ever had, better than any of those big chain coffee spots.

I've always been here before 7:30-8:00 mornings. There is never a lot of people there, although I dont know why because the donuts are great. Always fresh and never have that old oil taste that some shops have. A must try is the apple strudel.

Spudnuts Donuts is a Sacramento legend! They have been in business for decades! The donuts are really good! Always fresh! They have the average donut variety, but you have to try the Bacon Bar, a maple bar with real Bacon pieces on top! And, the Funky Monkey, a chocolate, banana, coffee drink! They also have juices, coffee, mochas and a refrigerated selection of grab n go drinks, including milks.

This is the best example of old fashioned donuts in all of Sacramento. Sure, some places have those fancy cronuts and other ridiculous combinations. But give me a great cruller or delicious filled donut any time! And they have a drive thru!!! Great service and... Wait for it... Vietnamese coffee!! It's all the rage now, but we've been drinking it for years and they make a decent one. Come try their donuts same let me know what you think!

This is by far the best donut drive-thru place in the Sacramento Arden area. Apple fritters taste like Apple Hill quality & they make breakfast bagel & croissant sandwiches, with various coffee drinks, smoothies, and Chai or Thai teas available. I've been going here for over 30 years & the people are always amazing & the donuts are home-made & excellent!

Amazing service and very friendly. They had great Donuts and i gorlt egg bacon and cheese croissant Andi I had the lady add cream cheese on to it, was so much better then McDonald's. If you haven't tried this donut shop you really need too!!! Also try their chunky monkey blended cofee it's to die for. If I could give more than five stars I would!!!! I will become a regular that's for sure ??????

This guy is very nice to me he has a heart I went homeless in the process of failing a business in the past and he gave me a discount for me to eat in the past I hope all of sacramento gives him their money he has great prices great donuts and food on top he is just a good Samaritan it'd a rare thing he deserves sacramento to root for this guy just based on his heart

Their apple fritters are amazing and cheap coffee. Tip: bring cash so you don't get charged a $2.5 credit card fee. The chocolate-covered, chocolate-filled donut is also really, really good :-D just like they told me: it will melt in your month. It's like a chocolate croissant but a donut!

Drive-thru donuts! I wish they were open later, but I get that it's a mom & pop place that has to make & bake some time. And they're yummy even if you don't eat them right away... Unlike the donuts from that chain drive-thru! Good selection of donuts & coffee/espresso drinks. They also serve breakfast sandwiches which were thoroughly enjoyed by two others. Always have to pick up an apple fritter for my pops. My faves are those airy french crullers. ?? Yum!

Total ripoff. Didn't get what I paid for. Avoid. I purchased a dozen of the plain donuts (11.60). And a dozen of the 16.60 donuts. He never showed me what's in the box. I get them home and they flat out ripped me off. I paid a dollar a piece for donut holes. I knew I should not have trusted them. I should have looked. If I did. I would have refused the order.

Happy friendly hard working family selling great donuts and related bakery products. Very heavy on the sugar glaze, but still a 5 star foodie item. Not the original but still nice folks serving up great donuts and fritters, chocolate goodies that have all the choco-holics loving this place.

This place is another coin toss for me because the rare occasion I go here there's stages that determine whether I'll buy donuts. Stage #1 I first have to see if there's a million flies inside the store (including the donut case). Stage #2 If there isn't I have to carefully select my donuts because trust me they sale old donuts here. Fell in love with Spudnuts when I lived in Hollister. Was so glad they had location in Sacramento so I didn't have to hunt for good donuts. Just wish they had a Woodland location.

Tried supporting mom & pop. Spent $8 on doughnuts and coffee and lady wants to pour me half cup of med roast after running out of dark roast because she didn't want to brew another pot of dark roast. First and last visit. Liked the drive thru window option. Glad I was inside to see the mix of 2 different blends of coffee being poured.

I moved to this area of Sacramento, Before I was going to Howard's donuts in Rancho Cordova. I think these are great, I have been getting the Bear Claws, and Banana Nut and Blue Berry Muffins. they are crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Chalked full of Blue Berry's. Super Nice people as well.

I first experienced Spudnut donuts in Panama City Florida. They were amazing, I even overnited a dozen to my sister in California. The sign at this place says Spudnuts BUT these are NOT Spudnuts. You can get these donuts any old place. Totally disappointed ??

donuts were good , the ladies were very nice . only thing is they forgot to give us one donut and also I got a "frap" white chocolate and it was horrible. it tasted like mold and dirty water. I wouldn't get drinks here again unless it was bottled. but donuts were good. maybe my next trip will be 5 stars ?? UPDATED REVIEW 3/19/18 the donuts don't taste the same. the are all to airy and to sweet now. I won't be back unfortunately..

I finally found a donut shop that makes my favorite donut (chocolate french curler) the right way, and it was delicious. The owner was very friendly and patient. I had just left the ER after a 5 hour visit when I saw this donut shop. It was just what I needed

Good donuts, the raised glazed donuts are made from potato flour and seem to be gluten free because of that. They told us the other donuts are not. Good flavors and very soft. Nice service also.

Luv these Donuts. They have a huge selection and some unusual choices in Donuts and Drinks. I tried the Ice cold Chunky ?? Monkey with expresso. So very refreshing almost didn't have room for my ?? choices. She even gave me an extra glazed old fashion donut what a sweety.

Nice place. Has a drive through but we had to get out so that we could choose our dozen. Only draw back was they were out of glaze donuts already before 9 am on Sunday morning .

Came here today through drive thru are very slow need to be faster and never give out napkins stop being cheap and hand out napkins to every customer please got good doughnuts but got to pick up speed in drive thru way to slow its one car ahead of me and I waited 10 mins came here today thru drive thru 12/19/23 waiting 10mins the worker in side seen me and walk by and kept working never came to window to help me bad customer service and I will never come here again that was rude and shame on this place

Pretty cool donut shop. While the inside and outside might be old, the store delivers some good eats and drinks. They even have a drive thru, or you can go inside to order, and if you want they also have online ordering too. Great customer service. We try to go every Sunday. Unlike other donut shops, they're one we can depend on if we want donuts at 12pm.

I grew up in Richland Wa, home if the oldest still in operation spudnut. We recently went to the Sacramento location. It brought back so many memories. Absolutely taste and texture of these donuts are what was expected. Definitely part of the original chain and has tried to maintain that spudnut flavor and texture.

They have a drive thru yall! The donuts were very delicious. Staff is friendly and they are open from 4am to 4pm according to the sign. Walked into the store and the surroundings were very clean.
