Today is our last day in Santa Barbara after living here for two years. This location Spudnuts has been our favorite breakfast place. We love ordering the Ham, Egg, and Cheese breakfast sandwich on a Jalape?o and Cheddar Bagel. For Donuts we love to order the Chocolate with M&M?s and a Plain Glazed Donut. I lived in Santa Barbara years ago and this was my favorite spot for my morning coffee and bagel. The owner literally is the sweetest lady and I haven?t seen her for like 5 years, but I still think about how welcoming she was to me. I love chive cream cheese and she literally went out of her way to get fresh chives for me. At the time, I was going through a rough patch and this little donut shop felt like a safe haven. The food and staff here are amazing, my wife and I were passing through Santa Barbara on a road trip and we loved this place. I reccomend trying the jalape?o cheddar bagels

Yep, this is where you get your breakfast and lunch for miles around. Don't let the humble appearance fool you, this is quality stuff. With lovely staff helping you with a big smile and honest courtesy. Glad I found this gem! Had an egg, bacon and cheese on a bagel and couldn't have been happier with it.

My family and I spent three weeks in Santa Barbara and our favorite place for breakfast was here! Every morning it was a pleasure to be greeted so kindly. All of the staff were kind and always smiling. The bagels were our favorite ?? our last day they sent us off with a box of doughnuts as a gift, it was such a surprise and so sweet of them. We wish we could take Spudnuts back to France with us! We will miss them.

Bagel sandwiches were tasty! They had a huge selection of pastries too. Definitely a solid spot to grab a morning breakfast sammy, donut, and coffee.

Best Bakery in Santa Barbara. Donuts remind me of Krispy Kreme but better. Imagine a Krispy Kreme donut without the grease...they melt in your mouth. If I had to leave Santa Barbara I would dream about this Donut Shop everyday until my return. I've traveled the USA and I've never had the perfect donut until I found Joy and Mama's place. I think you guys should change your name because I've been to the other Spudnuts and IT IS DEFINITELY INEXPLICABLY NOT THE SAME!!!! So don't go wasting your time and money a

Now that's what a donut is supposed to taste like! Light, fluffy, subtly sweet, perfect. Staff is exuberant, friendly, and attentive. A variety of brewed coffee to choose from. I love it.

If you find yourself in the vicinity or anywhere in Santa Barbara, I highly recommend visiting this establishment. The cuisine is truly exceptional and delectable, and the fresh fruit juice is a noteworthy feature of their offerings. The staff provides outstanding service with a warm and welcoming demeanor.

I got a cheese bagel with cream cheese and it was so delicious, and tasted fresh. We also got a bacon egg and cheese jalape?o bagel which was great. The half carrot half orange was so fresh!! Would definitely come back!

The croissant breakfast sandwich is so good, the donuts are too. The staff is very friendly, you can tell it?s a family run business, it?s great.

Travelled from San Francisco down to L.A . And honestly this was thee best breakfast spot along the way the doughnuts were to die for. The atmosphere was just perfect for that time of the morning . There fresh OJ incomparable. Unbelievable.

I love going here for breakfast , the donuts are great. They have so many options like breakfast bagels, sandwiches, boba smoothies, coffee, croissants and more . The staff are very nice and it?s locally owned. I recommend the strawberry banana boba, glazed donut, and plain bagel with cream cheese ????

The new Hispanic male that usually works in the morning always charges a different price for donuts by the dozen. We get (or used too) the same dozen donuts 2-3x a week. The last four trips the price is always different from the other. I mentioned that to him several times and could not give me an answer as to why? The Best way to resolve this, we now go to Ellers down the street where the prices are always the same and a much better donuts.

We were visiting from Montana and wanted to find a great donut shop and we did!!! Spudnuts had a huge selection of yummy donuts! We also had breakfast sandwiches that were awesome! The fresh juice was so good and so was the coffee! Best of all though was the customer service! The staff was so positive - it made our day!!!

This donut shop has delicious donuts and wonderful service. BUT, during my last visit I ordered a bagel that was flat and prepared incorrectly. The dough was raw and in a baker's opinion, the dough was not fermented long enough and/or the incorrect mixing technique was used - possibly just a bad batch because this is a first. Just be aware of raw bagels on the shelf. Although, never disappointed with their sweet treats!!

They have great bagel and croissant sandwiches, their baked goods are fluffy very light. Is the only place I have seeing with strawberry glaze donuts. They have great boba drinks and fresh juices made when ordered. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Their customer service makes you feel at home. It is great for students, for taking dozens to works. Ps: they have different types of cream cheese flavors.

This is the best donut shop in the world I know because I?m from San Francisco and we have a lot of stupid doughnut places there with this donut places super great I just had the best chocolate croissant ever in my life and my friend had a maple Croh Dough and I think that?s going to be the best one and she?s really fussy! Come here as often as I can, these bagels are crispy and chewy but loaded with flavor! Coffee is really good as well, serve yourself. Come check it out, you won't be disappointed!

Delicious. My girlfriend and I stopped in for a coffee and a bagel, sort of a ritual almost every morning on our road trip. Spudnuts was the best thus far. Coffee was hot and on point, bagels where delectable. Would recommend to anyone visiting Santa Barbara

This Spudnets is the BEST. I don't know quite how they do things a little better than the rest but there is something about the way they prepare and toast their bagels in particular. Perfectly balance of crunchy and chewy. Kona coffee is always a must and their donuts just seem extra fresh. Staff remember their guests and are just really nice to order from. If I need a "donut shop fix" in Santa Barbara, I go here and will continue too for a long time to come.

There are a few Spudnuts, but this one, in particular, is especially tasty. It's on upper State. Their jelly donuts are really good. There is something special about their jelly. If you ask for one, they will take the donut and personally fill it with their jelly. I also love their apple fritters. So crunchy and yummy!

The older lady was very nice, great customer service. Good outdoor seating. It was 12:30pm and the don Parenting or HAP is a serious form of child maltreatment and the donuts tasted fresh..

Visiting from out of town and were craving some bagels - stumbled upon this place online and ventured to find it. Donuts and bagels are an absolute 10! Great pre-hike breakfast. Highly recommend!

Discovered this place while in Santa Barbara. I had an Apple Fritter & Coffee for Breakfast. Staff was friendly & my Fritter was the Best ever. People - you just HAVE to come in & check this place out !

Donuts are awesome and fresh, the sandwiches are BOMB, their Thai tea boba is the best in town (other places its too milky and not strong enough, they know how to do it right here) and INCREDBLE service. I came for the donuts and thai tea and stayed for Joy and her wonderful family. I always left with a big smile and an even bigger turkey bagel sandwich. I just moved out of town and miss this place so dearly, it was a common stop for my friends and I. Joy, if you're reading this, I'm sending lots of love!

This is the only Spudnuts in SB that we like (we?ve been to all of them). Always the freshest, always the best selection, and most importantly run by an amazing, friendly family. We don?t eat donuts often, but when we do, we only go to Joy?s Spudnuts.

Spudnuts has excellent food! Their donuts are fresh and tasty, and they have the best croissant sandwiches I have ever had in my life! Turkey, roast beef, and tuna. I highly recommend this coffee shop!

I got a great jalape?o cream cheese bagel and my foreign credit card wouldn?t work?the owner graciously told me to pay her the next time I returned. I was just as embarrassed as I was moved by her good-hearted trust. Will definitely return and not just out of obligation. ??

Super friendly staff!! Couldn't decide and ordered 6 delicious looking donuts and a croissant. The jelly filled powder did not disappoint!! And the croissant was buttery and flakey!!! She threw in some free donut holes in my box. Will definitely be back when in area

This place has excellent doughnuts! We've been twice now and the staff is super friendly. They have all the basic donuts that most people like and some others that I have yet to try. The doughnuts are fresh and exactly what I want when I have a craving!

A critical lifeline for early morning eats and fresh bagels donuts and pastries in the upper state area. Bonus: they have amazing service. Dunkin? Gone. Jacks Bagels? Gone. Chick fil a? Closed early AM & Sunday. Jack in the box? not 24hr anymore and drive thru only. May spudnuts live on forever!

Best doughnuts and bagels in town. I have tried every shop from Santa Barbra to santa maria and this one stands out. They also have the most friendliest customer service. I literally will not eat no other doughnut or bagel from some where else. ?????? there is also a spudnuts on Carrillo st. But i prefer the spudnuts on upper state st. Across Denny's

I asked if the doughnuts were fresh, day of. She said yes. I bought two dozen for my boys birthday to give to their baseball team. They were old doughnuts. I will never go back.

Ok so opens at 5am ..awesome... the freshest,warmest,softest,sticky(in a good way) and the most friendly staff (at 5am you know how hard that is) also they have bagels breakfast sandwiches.. outside little tables parking can be hard sometimes but still all around yes to stopping by again

I have never been here, stopped for a donut and had the lightest, tender donut I think I have every had. The owner was also nice enough to give me a larger coffee, than what I ordered.
