The personalized cakes I have ordered from Spilt Milk have been absolutely amazing! I highly recommend Danielle, the baker, if you are looking for a specialty cake for any occasion! Also, the atmosphere in Spilt Milk is retro and so fun! The case is filled with donuts, specialty sweets, and homemade gelato! Don?t forget the coffee or latte as well! Great place to visit and enjoy!

The donuts here are great, especially being filled with something for basically all of them. They are very good, I ended up getting The Banana Split, the pi?a colada & another banana filled donut i honestly can?t remember the name of. My only gripe with this place is the donuts for a half dozen are not cheap. I also got ice cream.

Made my first gelato and donut stop of the summer at Spilt Milk this afternoon and all I can say is YUMM!! Been coming here since they opened and the donuts are always FRESH as well as the gelato, today I tried the strawberry mango gelato and a couple of the specialty donuts including the banana pudding and coconut lime? DELICIOUS! Always a 10/10 they never disappoint. (Make sure you ask about their custom cakes for your next event!!)

Delicious donuts & gelato! Maddy delivered exceptional customer service. I made an oddball request--to have a donut sliced in half to create a donut & gelato "ice cream sandwich"--and Maddy didn't even skip a beat but just set herself straight away to figuring out how to make it work. This place is an absolute must if you are in the area. Staying in sunset beach and this is the best latte I've had all vacation. Donuts are made fresh in front of you and are fluffy and delicious. The gelato is so creamy and delicious also. You need to try this place if you are even remotely close to it

Death by chocolate cake was fabulous! Very decadent and rich, without being overwhelming. The donuts are melt in your mouth fresh and the gelato is perfect. The staff is all incredibly helpful and nice, sharing their recommendations and helping me narrow down all of the delicious options. Definitely one of my local favorites, I recommend this to anyone in the area looking for a sweet treat!

I always love coming to spilt milk. The atmosphere is delightful. The espresso is piping hot. The donuts and sweet treats are always fresh. The service is impeccable always serving with a smile. Insanely good stuffed donuts and regular donuts with icing on top and very good coffee. Can't wait to go back and try their ice cream some day. Super friendly, helpful, and patient staff. Update, had the ice cream and it was good. They have a donut birthday cake ice cream which has pieces of donut in it and tastes amazing, what an awesome twist on an already great flavor.

Everything is so great and they were so kind to give my daughter an extra donut for free. You will not be disappointed. My family already has eaten 2 dozen donuts since we?ve been here!

Came here one morning for donuts and back in the afternoon for dessert. I would give the donuts at 8.5/10, definitely try the maple bacon. Besides gelato they also serve little cakes and ice cream cookies. The gelato was really good, but I felt like most of the flavors tasted more like ice cream than gelato. I think I tried all the flavors and mango was my favorite.

The ice cream was tasty, but the flavor selection was pretty limited?only six options available. The donuts, however, were excellent?light, fluffy, and filled with creamy goodness. The split milk latte was just okay, nothing special. Overall, a decent stop, especially for the donuts.

Checked this location out on a Tuesday morning while staying on OIB. We were there at 7 when they opened. The donut selection was great. The two gals working were very friendly and helpful. Food is good here but when my wife went to grab some donuts and coffee today she has verbally harassed by a "local" young man right out front. He then waited out front to harass her again, she had to call the cops to have the young man removed. She felt trapped inside the restaurant with our 2 month old and our 3 year old who has cerebral palsy. The staff stated the young man is dating the owners daughter and they couldn't do anything about him being rude to customers entering the store. I am just glad OIB

Just moved to the area, I checked out a local donut shop, the cake donuts are to die for and Athena made me the best mocha coffee with coconut milk I?ve ever had! They have a great selection of non-dairy options!

I work on Ocean Isle Beach. I simply come in here to get a cup of coffee and a donut for lunch for one. I had to wait a minimum of 5 minutes on a so-called fresh batch of coffee. When I got my coffee it tasted so burnt and nasty. It about made me gag. I literally asked for sugar and cream. I have to service all this myself. We stopped in one time after eating at Marias to see if they had a dairy free sorbet option--nope. The girl working was not helpful or friendly. We stopped in on our way out of town a couple of days later for a donut. My husband bought three donuts to go and all tasted stale. I thought they made the donuts on site? Very disappointing both visits.

I had never had Gelato ice cream; it was AWESOME! They are known for their donuts, but to me, the ice cream was the best. We went back twice in one day for more donuts and gelato.

Wonderful donut place(can even watch them make them) plus coffee and teas. Ice cream sandwiches with more ice cream stuff coming. Their donuts are not only beautiful, but tasty and structurally able to handle the flavored whipped cream.

Excellent ?? doughnut and ? coffee shop right across the Intracoastal waterway from Ocean Isle Beach. They have a great variety of doughnuts, fritters and other pastries. During busy morning hours be prepared to wait. They do have ample indoor and outdoor seating along with ? handicap accessible ??? parking and ?? restrooms.

At the donut shop I met a young woman named Alejandra. She is very clean every business should have women like her .she is very hard working god bless her everyone speaks and makes delicious Donuts

So a previous review by Lindsey was correct, they have changed their signature donut. Not sure why ?management? was trying to gaslight her in a response. I was in there recently and they had their spilt milk donut but it was not the cr?me filled version they used to have. I asked about it and was informed they have changed their signature donut. That was the only donut I go there to buy. They can change all their donuts if they choose, but don?t try to gaslight your customers about it. Just own it.

Everybody working here was extremely nice! And extremely helpful! The donuts were pretty good and the gelato is amazing! They have dairy free sorbet also that is so refreshing!

We stopped in for a bite and wound up with ice cream, apple fritters, and strawberry filled dough nuts. I would recommend and will go back. Staff is friendly and yes, you can sample any flavor.

Ordered 1/2 dozen and an apple fritter. The apple fritter had no apple in it, it tasted stale and looked way different than the rest in the same bin, why the girl chose to sell it is beyond me. I had to toss it. But that was after I got home so couldn?t return it

Service is fabulous; however, the donuts have been very inconsistent lately. Depending on who makes the donuts you may get the wrong filling or none at all. I thought it was funny at first, but then I started noticing how inconsistent the fillings are. Even the amount of Nutella has changed. I am a frequent flier at Maria?s and Spilt Milk and love their food. The donuts are different now. Maybe they have a new donut maker?

We love this little place. The staff is always very nice and the doughnuts are some of the best we?ve ever had and they have a huge selection of them. I really like their coffee (mocha with added white chocolate). Wife and son-in-law liked the Ocean Isle Beach (raspberry coffee). It is a regular stop for us multiple times every year. There will be no crying over this spilt milk! The doughnuts were fresh, crispy outside with a soft chewy center, just as they should be. Perfectly made, very friendly staff. Visited on a vacation, and wish we could bring it back to our hometown. Easily the best doughnuts I've ever had!

We went in with high hopes. The donuts were slightly disappointing. While I put this at better than Dunkin donuts it was just average. The gelato was also not fantastic. But it was good.

Staff was friendly and welcoming. However, the donuts need to be kept in a closed cabinet. When we were trying to choose a flavor to purchase, we noticed flies crawling all over the donuts that just sit on an open air shelf. I know during the summer with people constantly going in and out, there will be flies coming in, but when the person in front of is ordered a donut and the staff picked it up, 10-15 flies flew away off the donuts, we decided to skip the donuts and get ice cream instead. Sitting here now asked for regular sugar I accidentally put Splenda which I couldn?t tell fromthe package that it wasn?t real sugar. I asked the girl at the at the counter for real sugar, she couldn?t find any. What kind of coffee shop does not have real sugar for coffee. I can?t use Splenda. I?m sure there?s several people that can?t. She didn?t offer to go look in the back nothing and the donuts are great, but it would?ve been nice if they could reheated them

I?m not the biggest coffee drinker back home, but Spilt Milk is the highlight of my trips to Ocean Isle every year! Their donuts are absolutely incredible?hands down my favorite donuts of all time. Every day, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating to my coffee order, especially Sam?she's the sweetest! The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes each visit a delight. It was really good! We got the banana and the Nutella doughnut and it was wonderful. We also had the mocha iced coffee and it hit the spot. They were also open during the winter season when most places were closed.

From one OIB business owner to another, customer service is everything but especially in this area. The wrong people are upfront, you need some cheerful, welcoming people but instead we were met with someone with a severe attitude. Completely understand that everyone is new and the system is still being trained on but there is no need to argue or belittle the customer. Positive note: the donuts are decent!

Cheesecake was room temperature with a mushy strawberry and overall bad flavor, ice cream sandwich was beautiful but ice cream was icy/ grainy, scooped ice cream was good. Will not go back - 3 items for $25 and 2 were thrown in trash. Love the name and the decor but unfortunately I am now crying over Spilt Milk.

This used to be our favorite donut shop. We would buy multiple dozens of donuts every time we come to the beach. They have changed their signature donut and it?s not remotely the same. We find ourselves not wanting to go back because that was the donut that we would go for! I?m really hoping that they bring it back or they have lost our business.

We went here today while finding something to do on a rainy day. The donuts were tasty and the service was fast and friendly. It was also cool to see the donuts being made on site. My 9 year old loved that part.

The donuts aren?t bad, but they aren?t great. If you don?t like cake based donuts then Krispy Kreme is a drive to SC. Personally these feel too expensive for the taste. If you do happen to eat at Maria?s (or Smoked for that matter) you could get these as dessert and that may drop the cost a bit, but if you?re looking for something sweet, there are other, better options in OIB.

I ordered a couple of the blueberry glazed donuts, and silly me. I thought that meant there would be blueberry filling inside. Their standard donuts are good, Their specialty selections can be fantastic. Highly reccomend the French toast, or key lime specials. If you're lucky enough to be there when they add carmel to the bacon maple donuts, grab a few of those.

Very limited ice cream for a very busy Friday night. No milk shakes. Out of donuts. Will buy donuts again. Was looking forwards to donuts as they are very good. Will not buy ice cream as it was the last of the pan and was like gum textured. They had no plain vanilla or chocolate. I guess it was a off night.

Donuts are delicious. Customer service was not good. Employees seem generally inconvenienced to serve you and unhappy to work there. FYI Lids on small cups don't fit so both kids spilled them immediately.

We went to Spilt Milk a little earlier in the evening before dinner, because when on vacation you live on a different schedule than usual! The staff were all seated towards the back working on folding boxes but as soon as we walked in the door they all jumped up and welcomed our large family group! We were a large family group of 17 but the staff took the time to let us sample flavors of ice cream and answer any questions we had!
