This donut shop is an absolute gem in our neighborhood. The place is cozy, the atmosphere is warm, and the people are incredibly kind. One thing that stands out to me is the beautiful mix of cultures among the employees ? it?s the only store around here where you see that, and it makes all the difference. I don?t know the owner personally, but I?m 100% sure he treats his employees with great respect, because it clearly reflects in the way they treat customers. Very clean interior sitting area. Amazingly fresh and yummy donuts! Employees smile and make eye contact creating a welcoming environment! Highly recommend over any of the chain stores and even over the sacred Ship?..also for those parents that eat carnivore or keto you special order eggs cheese sausage or bacon!
Came from New Jersey and wanted something to eat my husband and I don?t know the area but we saw it on our way to our destination. The croissants were so fresh and soft, and the ladies that were serving were super nice. Next time I come to Houston I will sure come back ??. Thank you for the great food and service.
Went to grab donuts for my son since we were in a rush to church. The drive through line was incredibly slow to say it was not that many people so I got out of line and went in the store and I was the next in line. The donuts looked dry and they were. The donut holes were not fluffy. The only semi good thing was the plain kolaches.
The guy who helped me, Richard, was incredibly polite, attentive, and thorough?making sure I had everything I needed. He had excellent customer service. The donuts were fresh and yum also!!!
The donuts are not frosted to even half the top, only 1/4 of the top is frosted. The apple fritter is OVER FRIED to the point where it's hard a rock and not edible! (See pic) I Really wanted some assorted flavored donuts, like the old days, but they all had Sprinkles on them..... why???? I didn't see 1 kid in the store buying donuts, yet all the colored donuts had sprinkles. A fresh tray of assorted colored donuts was coming out from the back and ALL of them had 'Sprinkles'. I was so dissappointed!!! I
We love this donut shop! Coffee is always hot and tasty, donuts and kolaches are delicious as well! The staff is friendly and the inside area is always very clean and well organized
The best donut shop I have ever been too. My go to?s are the glaze donut, cinnamon sugar donut or the blueberry donut. BUT the ham, egg, and cheese croissant is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this shop. Not only is the food great, but the staff are even sweeter!
I do not understand how this place has any negative reviews. We have always had excellent service and excellent food from here. Their spicy boudin kolache is hands down my favorite in the area. Most places just slap some pickled jalape?os on it and call it spicy. Theirs yesterday fresh and are chopped up and part of the boudin. They are also actually spicy. My kids love the variety of filling options available. I'm adding pictures of the menu since there weren't any.

Rude, attitude was though they didn?t want any service. Came here 15 min after opening, and they had NO Donuts hot and ready, but then I was told I have to wait for 15min to get food. Three employees working, but No Donuts. How is this possible?? Bad employees!! That?s how!! Find another job, or work on Customer Service. A Donut Shop, with No Donuts!!

Good selection of donuts and other breakfast foods. No complaints from the kids so that means good donuts :) The donut dough is not as sweet as other donut shops and I kind of like that...makes it seem more healthy ;)
Wow these donuts are so good and fresh! I also had the vanilla latte and it was good as well. The prices are great and the girl at the drive thru was friendly. Can?t wait to go back in the morning before my flight!
The best! Went to pick up a dozen breakfast tacos this morning for the shop, they had just run out, made me a fresh batch, and threw in a couple donuts for the wait time (which was not even bad). Thank you for going above and beyond. You're our neighborhood go to.
Walked in today to place a happy birthday donut order. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. I couldn't help but grab a few donuts lol they did not disappoint. The kolaches and croissants looked amazing I can't wait to go back and try them. If you never been definitely give them a try. I'll update once I get my donut order .

Everyone is very friendly and the place is always clean and everything in order. Very professional and food is good. I stop by every Sunday after church. My grand daughter loves their donuts with sprinkles.
The Tacos are hot garbage. But even worst than that is the young girls attitude. She has horrible people skills. When it was clear I didn?t understand that all the tacos were pre-made 4 hours before I got there at 9am . She just kept repeating ?all tacos come with cheese? in the most rude tone. I asked her if the tacos were small or larger so I could know how many I should get and she took a deep breathe and muttered ?regular taco size? she just looked like she hated her job which I could understand but don
Excellent donuts, tacos and kolaches! Quick service too. I don't see why people give this place less than 5 stars due to communication issues. They try their best considering their circumstances, but either way the quality of the food completely outweighs the setback with communication. Love this place!

I have been living in this neighborhood, going on 5 years now. I would pass this donut shop to go to it's competitors. One day, my daughter wanted some donuts & kolaches, she asked me, "Have I ever tried Southern Maid?" My reply was, "No!" Sometimes, I stick to what I know! My daughter bought some over and Oh, my goodness! Hot & Delicious! Don't sleep on Southern Maid Donuts. Check it out! See what you think.
The employees are friendly but the food is bland. The glazed donuts taste like flour. There's nothing special about this place. It's only positive is its proximity to the neighborhood. I'd rather drive to a Shipley's if I'm craving good donuts.

I drive by this place often, but I never stopped until today! I was very curious as to what they had to offer. Their menu just blew me away! Their selection of kolaches, croissants, tacos and donuts is pretty impressive! ??Their prices are also very competitive, but slightly lower than other donut places in the area. I love that they have a convenient drive thru and that there is a menu for you to check out and make your selections before you drive up to the window. The man who took my order was very curteo
I had a sausage and cheese kolache and didn't like the taste. I'm not sure if it's the cheese or the sausage but it wasn't good to me at all. I bought donuts for my daughter's class and she said they were good. I would go back to try the donuts but wouldn't buy a kolache again.
Pretty darn good. The wife and I stopped by for a quick bite for breakfast. We ordered tacos and donuts. Both were very good. Definitely worth a stop if you're looking for breakfast.

On April 4th my daughter went into this location and the workers overlooked her. They assisted two adults who came in after her. I watched for a minute and then I went to the counter and the lady told the man that was helping the others that she was there, which really irritated me. Of a child's money is not as important as an adult then I will not be coming back. A child deserves the same acknowledgment and consideration when making a purchase.
