I pre-ordered 15 different types of donuts for a Mother?s Day function. Long story short, after taking them out and splitting them in multiple ?sample? sizes, I did not receive all the specialty donuts I had ordered. I noticed instead they were replaced with duplicates of other donuts I ordered, and I was shorted one. Regardless they were delicious and service was good, but a heads up that my order was going to be changed, would have been appreciated!

This is a cozy little donut shop, that offers great tasting donuts! The plain glazed donuts are the closest saying I found to Round Rock Donuts world famous Donuts since I've been here in North carolina. If you know about Round Rock donuts, come check this place out! Best doughnuts in Pinehurst! They are so tasty, huge, lots of flavors to choose from, and well worth the price. Make sure to get an apple fritter. They have a few sizes of fritters, with the large one easily feeding 5-6 people.

I had only tried donuts from Southern Angel Donut Co. before today... which have always been fantastic! The powdered sugar long john is delicious. The GINORMOUS apple fritter is great... but that might be the best cinnamon roll I've ever tasted!!

Love the apple fritters. But have been very disappointed in service the past two visits. Twice we have ordered 10 fritters to arrive and find our order has been lost. Today we had given them 2 weeks notice. Even had talked with the manager on the phone. Order had been misplaced. We were offered to buy the last four left in the display case. Every time i come into town, I always stop here to get the apple fritters. Don?t get me wrong, the donuts are fantastic but the apple fritter may very well be the best pastry i?ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and get some fresh in the morning, you won?t regret it!

Love their doughnuts. Specifically the glazed lemon, raspberry and strawberry filled. I?m not a fan of their maple. My favorite is the custard filled with chocolate icing. Although the maple bacon is definitely worth a try. My kids especially love the pink strawberry flavored doughnuts with the fruity pebbles sprinkled on.

Very disappointing! I thought they used to have the best cake donuts in the area. I asked if they were fresh. Because last time it didn't taste or feel like it. More like (at least) day old. I had a glazed blueberry and a sour cream. Hard. Crunchy, but not in a good way, more like way too dry. Like cooked way too long. I prefer to support local independent business. But you've got to be at least comparable to the other options. They've not measured up in my last two visits.

Great donuts. Usually good service. Last time I was in, two employees spent five minutes on a delivery order while three people waited for donuts. Do not know who the delivery was going to, but you ordered dark roast coffee. They ran out about two thirds full, filled the rest with regular coffee. Glad I had already poured mine, just waiting to get my donut and pay, lol.

Saw the sign, so I thought I would stop in to buy some donuts. The prices are very high, and the donuts were awful! I had a blueberry cake donut, and it was hard, dry, and lacked flavor. Got my husband an Apple fritter, and it was obviously left in the oil too long and for too low a temperature; it was all oil around the edges, but the very center was not quite done. It also seemed stale. The $2.00 price tag was ridiculous. I only bought the fritter and a half a dozen donuts; I am glad I didn't buy more. Si

This is hard because I REALLY love the donuts, proximity to my home, selection, etc? but the worker, Ashley, ruins it. I usually chalk it up to it?s her personality but my last interaction was unbearable. She?s really mean for no reason.

Their donuts are not like anything I've ever had. Someone gave them a bad rating because they were over indulgent but if you're eating donuts isn't that the point? It's hard to explain how these donuts are so much better than anyone else but they are soft, rich and extremely not good for you. They are a bit expensive but it goes with the old saying you get what you pay for. If you haven't tried Southern Angel you need to give them a go just once because you really don't know what you're missing.

Great little out of the way spot for a remarkable donut treat. Try the s?more donut, it?s yummy. The donuts are light and fluffy, not overly sweet. Defiantly, a win in my book. The staff is so sweet, the location is clean, and there is an outside sitting (limited) area.

This is the third time we have bought donuts from here and they were just ?meh?. This morning we ordered 2 apple fritters and 3 donuts. The apple fritters are huge a d because of that they have to fry for a long time to cook the dough inside. So the outside tasted over fried and the inside has next to no flavor. And there?s hardly any apples. The filled donuts were ok. I guess we will have to find a different donut shop.

5 stars (before 12pm) - This is undoubtedly the best donut shop in Moore county. My absolute kryptonite ?I never leave Pinehurst without having at least a dozen. Southern Angels has an incredible variety of every flavor you could think of, but my personal favorite is just the original glazed. (This is how you know they're good). Their only downside is for the majority of the time, their inventory is very cleared out by late morning (as they should be). However, their management is good about pre-packaging

Good selection of donuts. It was my first time there. The apple dumplings were so huge it filled us up for lunch. They were extremely delicious as well. We will return. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Excessively sweet. They use way too much sugar in their dough for at least on their yeast pastries. Frostings also. So sweet it hurts your teeth. My wife can not stand them. One bite and she knows where the donut came from. She asks me to never get them again. It's simple, cut back on your sugar in the recipe. You will get a better product.

This place is awesome. Highly suggest the cinnamon crumb donut and bluberry cake. They do call ahead ordering and the staff is very nice!! So many other unique donut options as well!

Every time I go by Granny?s Doughnuts in Aberdeen the place is always CLOSED. Sometimes as early as 9:30. One day, while in Pinehurst, I stopped by this little doughnut shop called ?Southern Angel.? When I walked in the front door I was greeted by one of the happiest and most genuine person I?ve ever met; Bee. They have so many different doughnut creations and textures that they easily beat the big brands. If you?re a local or visiting the area ?Southern Angel? should be a part of your morning routine.

This place in incredible, so much so that it is easy to take it for granted since it is so unassuming in a small place in a small town. In addition to a great variety of scrumptious doughtnuts, they have a world-class online ordering system.

I Like So.Do. their donuts are large like Dunkin'. The batter taste (to me) like that of KrispyC, but caters creativity like Duck and home owned like Granny's. They even have a PB&J donut!!! But the Lemon filled are in my opinion " The Best!!"

I came to visit my Dad and was staying at hotel nearby. I saw the sign and walked inside. I was greeted with a friendly smile and a sample. I was hooked. I got 6 glazed donuts they were pillows of pure heavenly bliss!
