Tried this spot while I was in downtown LA and I?m still thinking about it. The mochi donuts were so good ? perfectly chewy with a light crisp, and not overly sweet. Each flavor had its own vibe, but the black sesame one was hands down my favorite. Deep, nutty, and not something you find just anywhere. The shape of the donuts also made it so easy and fun to eat! My first time at So Mochi! Ube Brown Sugar/w Boba became my favorite combination, not too overly sweet, tastes savory & dreamy. I love the coffee cake flavor so yummy worth the $4. I tried my friends Somoa flavor that was nice too. Both Chewy texture full of flavor probably better warm tho!

I initially saw this on TikTok and it's such a fun, cute, and delicious shop! I loved their matcha and their doughnuts were perfectly chewy and with great flavor. I really wanted to try their corn dogs but we weren't able to make it back. Their staff was very kind and helpful, and the atmosphere was fun and bubbly. Highly recommended and a very cute place to take pictures!

Amazing mochi donut shop in the middle of filthy downtown? Literal escape from urine-smelling streets of LA downtown (yes, it smells great inside!) This place feels dirty and neglected. Cashier looked like he came straight outta prison with bad attitude. I got an Ube brown sugar boba drink and the uber flavor was alright but once I mixed jt with the brown sugar flavor the taste was disgusting. Too much brown sugar syrup. One of the worst drink I ever had lol. Not Recommended.

Best corn dogs i have tried the hot cheetos half sausage and half cheese is the best one i recommend getting the whole box that comes with 5 corn dogs so you try a variety of them and see which one you like best .

I come here almost everyday, on my morning commute and this place is amazing! I started the day with an amazing bubble tea and a delicious donut for a great price. The service was helpful and kind, and there are a few seats indoors and more outdoors. For out-of-town women, I recommend being aware on the street. By no fault of the business, an obviously drunk man hit on me for several minutes while I waited for the store to open.

I was charging at the whole foods when i felt a quench coming on. I step outside to see what my options were it was *bucks, ??dnuts and SOMOCHI. I went with somochi. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but Gonzalo helped me figure that out really quick.I wasn't sure if I wanted the brown sugar or the watermelon slushy.He did mention it was a little bit hot outside and a watermelon slushy did sound good. went by at 4:30 on Saturday to grab dozen donuts, but nobody was there and no signage on when they will be back. I was in a hurry so i didnt have time to wait around so left after 3-5 minutes. The donuts looked good though.

The mochi textures are perfect, and the seasonal flavors feel intentional, not gimmicky. Even though it?s a takeout spot, the staff made the experience feel warm and welcoming. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Definitely a spot I?ll keep coming back to when I?m craving something special but not heavy.

11pm- looking for late dessert after theatre. So Mochi was bright, friendly, active. Got a 3-pack of donuts and (what looked like it was going to be) a small Joy cone with ube soft serve. The cone was actually a huge waffle cone! (Sorry- no pic.) The donuts were good but the ube ice cream was fantastic! Definitely coming back again!

Visited this place in DTLA because I thought it looked nice & I wanted a quick bite to eat & try there CornDogs which I saw took only 5-6 minutes to make. Unfortunately I didn?t receive the 2 corndogs i purchased until an additional 25minutes later, I would understand if it was busy but it was only me & 1 other customer who also waited the 25+minutes, the corndogs were good but not worth the 25 minute wait.
