Shipley Do-Nuts Keith Bridge

Reviews Summary

Shipley's receives mostly positive reviews for its fresh, high-quality donuts and kolaches, often compared favorably to chains like Dunkin' and Krispy Kreme. Many praise the friendly staff and nostalgic taste, especially Texas transplants. However, some criticize inconsistent freshness, long waits, and occasional poor service or product shortages. A few complaints mention burnt items, cold donuts, or incorrect orders. The coffee receives mixed feedback, with some finding it bitter or bland. Despite minor issues, most agree the donuts are superior to competitors, though early visits are recommended for the best selection.

Customer Reviews

Based out of Texas, this chain did not disappoint! We each had a blueberry-filled donut -- perfectly soft, fresh, and packed with rich filling. Absolutely delicious. We also split a sausage, egg, and cheese kolache with jalape?o... and WOW. It was beyond words amazing -- the perfect balance of flavor and heat, wrapped in soft, pillowy dough. To top it off, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back. A fantastic spot for both sweet and savory treats!

We had the pleasure of working with Joel, and I must say that I have not met a kinder gentleman in quite some time. This was my first time, but my boyfriend hasn't be able to find a Shipley's since he left Birmingham 4 years ago. Joel made him feel like a kid again, and Shipley's has THE BEST food. So many flavors I've never seen, and I LOVE the devil food donut. The breakfast sandwich options are fresh, hot and flavorful and so so good!! 10/10 would recommend, especially this location!!!

My boyfriend and I were very excited to try this place out. Unfortunately, as soon as we got to the drive thru, we were barely greeted. Seemed like she didn?t want to talk to us at all. To add to that, I ordered an ice latte that had milk that was obviously expired and was inedible. We are sick to our stomach, we called the store with the same girl who ?greeted? us originally and didn?t even say anything at first until we said something. We told her our milk was expired and she just said ?sorry?. Here?s a p

I am a big believer in the fact that you don?t always need to go to a giant chain like their neighbor Dunkin?. Shipley has some of the best fresh never frozen pastries I?ve had around here. Pricing is very very reasonable and the quality of the food is fresh and so far hasn?t let me down. I would highly urge you to try them instead of dunkin

Being raised on Shipley donuts, I was thrilled to have this beloved brand in our locale. The staff exhibits warm hospitality, with the flavor living up to my expectation of the Shipley Do-Nuts standard. Be aware that popular items can sell out, so an early visit guarantees a wider selection. This outlet, with its enticingly sweet and savory donuts, is highly endorsed for kickstarting your day.

Five stars aren't enough for Shipley Do-Nuts on Keith Bridge Road in Cumming, GA! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and the incredible aroma of freshly made donuts. But what truly elevated my experience was Joel, the manager. He was incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure I had a fantastic visit. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offered suggestions, and even helped me choose the perfect donuts for my family. The donuts themselves were, of course

The good: the donuts were fresh, flavorful, and a great variety. The bad: the coffee. Nothing more disappointing than to take a bite of an amazing donut and wash it down with coffee that tastes like this. They either need to clean the coffee machine, filter their water, change their coffee grind, or all of the above. Friendly staff with counter service as well as a drive through. I'll be back for the donuts, but the coffee I will get elsewhere.

Had an amazing time at Shipley's! Went for a coffee and came away with a friend. They were so warm and inviting as soon as I walked in. Was a refreshing change of pace from how I'm typically greeted (or not) at other donut shops. If you are looking for donuts in Cumming, look no further. I took a bunch of donuts back to the office and my team was raving about how good they were! Also look for Joel if you go...he is worth the visit!

was so excited to learn that a shipley's was relatively close (30 minute drive). haven't had these in 7/8 years but this is not what i remember at all. i am 1000% sure these are old. they can't be fresh. these donuts are SO dry. i can't believe i drove 31 miles just to get these. and i passed krispy kreme on the way smh. i remember them being so good but these are awful. they absolutely have to be OLD. no possible way these were made today. a waste of gas, time and money. not worth eating.

Shipley's is always nostalgic visit for us from our Texas days. Kolaches still good, but they only had jalape?o flavor left and were overdone. Not quite as great as our traditional Texas location experiences.

Donuts were good. We grew up in an area with Shipley's and just happened to pass by this one and stopped in. It was noon when we got there so I am sure donuts would have been better earlier in the morning but they were still good. Girls working the counter were nice and helpful. Still mad at Shipley's (chain not this store) for ruining the chocolate filled donuts a few years ago. It now comes filled with a heavier chocolate ganash type filling. It used to be filled with a lighter chocolate cream and w

Super fresh and delicious. Love the maple iced! Even if the donuts were average, which they aren't, I would support them for how friendly they are. They give you plenty of time to decide and answer questions with a smile! Great customer service!

I love Shipley in Houston, TX. This location the staff was friendly. The donuts are not like TX but they are still good. These are too dense. They need to change the floor or use less.

Ok spot. Not an interesting selection. Apple fritter was dark. Still better than industrial Dunkin. In there defense it was after 11am. I will give them another try.

A warm Shipleys donut is one of my fondest childhood memories. They would avoid selling a cold donut as much as possible, and fill boxes as they came out of the fryer. I now know this is because Shipleys donuts are just not good cold. Here in Cumming they are always cold, and not anywhere near worth the price.

They were the nicest people who even tried to make to order some of their items for me. The kolache was the best I ever had.

Such great Do-Nuts! I ordered 6 Dozen for marketing for my company, and they gave me a few bags of some tiny ones for free. They were delicious!!! 10 out of 10.

The staff are always so kind and warm. They have great donuts and kolaches and someone's always kind enough to throw in an extra one for free. Give them a try!!

Yay! Shipleys is now in Georgia! The chocolate filled donuts were true to the delicious taste I have grown to know and love. I've been to over a dozen now and those one did not disappoint except for not answering the phone so I could place an order. Other than that, welcome to Georgia!

Good assortment, gotta get there early or they run out of favorites. This was from our 1st visit. Though we visited again on mother's day and the size of them were significantly smaller than previously.

I went to Keith Bridge location this morning for the first time. I was hoping for an outstanding glazed donut. Nope, didn't happen. Just another "me too" donut at best, that tasted like a leftover from the day before. I was told it was fried 10 mins ago. In my opinion, that was not true.

The place was spotless and the lady was still cleaning anyway. I love that. It was so clean! That said, the apple fritter was stale and burnt. The other donuts we got were fair! Donut holes are my favorite and I was not disappointed. The hot coffee was a little on the old side but not bad.

I grew up in Texas and love Shipley's donuts. So happy to have found a location in GA. After trying all the flavors, we always stick to the glazed - simple, delicious, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Wished the donuts were served warm like they are in TX, but still a million times better than any other donut chain out there.

What a great place for sandwiches and donuts. Big chain nect door. Drive past and try Shipleys. Great variety. Lovely staff.

First time eating Shipley?s, and it did not disappoint. The donuts were light, fluffy, and just a slight chew to them. What was really great was the staff. They were friendly, patient, and attentive.

Was only able to order 1 sausage jalape?o kolache because they were out of literally everything else, as usual, and it looks like this. Come on guys, do better. You could at least put more cheese or something? Don?t think I will go here anymore.

I'm from Texas and I have been waiting for them to come and the donuts are just exactly what I remember from back home my favorite is the bear claws cinnamon rolls and the sour cream donuts.

Was going to stop by Dunkin?s for coffee, but saw this donut shop right next to them. I always like to try new places. Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. I ordered 2 ham & cheese Kolaches and they weren?t bad. I also ordered an apple fritter and a regular large coffee with cream and sugar. The apple fritter was burnt so bad, we had to toss it. The coffee was only half full, extremely bitter with maybe a drop of cream and no sugar whatsoever. I really wanted to like this place, but sadly I don?

If i could give this place 10 stars I would. The people there are always so kind and friendly. They always ask me how my morning is and to enjoy the rest of the day. The kolaches and donuts are top tier. I?m not a coffee drinker so i can?t advocate in that way, but i?m sure it?s great if it?s anything like their food. There?s a Dunkin right next to it and I would love to see a smaller place like Shipley?s get more business and recognition!

I ordered the new breakfast kolachas and was sorely disappointed. They were more like steamed buns. The filling in the sausage one was unseasoned and the bacon on was so salty I couldn?t finish it. Still love the donuts.

The staff are super nice but the donuts and coffee just are not good. It was cool to try a new chain but it was not a good experience. Coffee tastes cheap and bland, while their breakfast food and donuts tastes very plain and old.

Really good Donuts. What else can I say. The girls at the front were really nice and patient with my kids while they picked their selections. The donuts were all what you would expect from a smaller donut shop. Good quality and not overpriced. The apple fritter was not my favorite but that was the only negative for me. Overall if you want donuts and you have the choice between Dunkin ????and this place???? there?s no debate. Shipley Donuts is the way to go.

Fresh, high quality donuts and excellent customer service from the cashier. I recommend you try them out!

If you haven?t been yet; you?re missing out. Whether you stop in or drive thru - you will not be disappointed. Best kolaches in the area

Line was out the door and up the front of the entire complex. Donuts are soft like a hot Krispy Kreme and we're quite good.

I remember the days when the goal of service was to "Exceed Your Expectations," but in the past few years with Covid and staffing issues ...... just simply having the staff to be open has been enough! Well....the folks at Shipley Donuts at Hammond's Crossing EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! Donuts were ready to go, service with a smile, extras included. Wow! Love this place!

Don?t know when this open, but I?m a big believer in supporting my local businesses. Stop there for four donuts and a French vanilla coffee. Donuts was very good and freshly made, they got the coffee wrong but not a big deal I didn?t need it any ways. I end up getting black coffee but it was still tasty so no complaint. Will definitely come back and let my friends and family know as well.

Very excited that a taste of Texas is here in Georgia and so close to home. I had the chance to stop in today and give this place a try. It did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and helpful. The donuts were fresh and the Sausage and Cheese Kolaches put everything over the top. I will be a regular!

I?m a Georgia transplant and was so excited to Shipley?s Donuts like I had growing up in Arkansas. This location was a disappointment. The service was great however they are not living up to the Shipley?s name. They ran out of glazed donuts and it?s not fresh. The donut I did receive was okay. If you know anything about Shipley?s then you know.

This place is amazing! I was concerned when I saw a donut place going literally next door to Dunkin. Now that I?ve experienced Shipley?s I am no longer concerned! These donuts are light, fluffy and delicious! I had a bold sausage and cheese kolachee, and was very pleased with it as well! If you are an impatient person, you may not be pleased as the folks who have discovered this gem are willing to wait in line to be served. It?s not a supply issue, it?s a demand issue, and the wait is worth it!

The doughnuts are great! The apple fritters look amazing, but really lack apple. The kolaches are so good, and nearly impossible to find anywhere else in Georgia.

I generally don't eat a lot of sweets. But I've waited eleven years for this, to be at a Shipley Do Nuts again. The last one I was at was coming out of Nashville TN in 2012. Today was even better than I remembered and the coffee was fantastic! And the employees was very helpful and made me feel at home.

Very tasty donuts! The caramel iced coffee is amazing! Don?t get me started on the jalape?o cheese kaloches ?? they are so delicious. The staff is very friendly and the manager Stephanie is so welcoming! ?? definitely recommend!

Wow, every single thing my family had was amazing! Will definitely be back and highly recommend compared to other donut places around.

Just discovered this delicious place! We're from Indiana so this is new to us and we are in love ! Doughnuts ?? are fresh and melt in your mouth goodness! Customer service is a 10 friendly good morning! Glad your here Shipley ??

Very disappointed in my first visit. It took a long time for someone to wait on me even though there was close to 10 people working. I found out cinnamon twists do not count as doughnuts. They did not have any blueberry cake doughnuts. Worst of all, all of the doughnuts tasted burnt. Definitely did not live up to the hype. Wow it took two months to get a response. Contact info submitted. Let's see how long it takes to get a response this now.

Great donuts we rated donut shops with family and came up with: #1 is definitely Krispy Kreme #2 Shipleys #3 Dunkin They only have drip coffee could improve in that aspect if you?re eating great donuts you def want great coffee to go with it. Definitely will need to add extra seating as well.

Great do-nuts. I know this place from Texas & and whenever we go to Houston to visit family & and friends, we always go Shipleys do-nuts for coffee & donuts. Was pretty surprised when I saw they had a location in Cummings & I immediately pulled in & gave it a try & was pretty good donuts & kolacha too ham & cheese. So if you ever in the Cummings area give Shipleys a try.

Best customer service! They are the kindest people there. Plus the kolaches are amazing!!! Big fan of the donut holes too.

Amazing selection, crew, and bonus, happy hour pricing, 2 for 1!

First off let me begin by saying I?m a proud born and raised Texan girl through and through. My husbands job relocated us to Georgia and I?ve been here 6 yrs. I?ve gotten used to living here but the food will NEVER touch anything Texas has to offer. When I first heard they were building a Shipley?s in Georgia you know I had to be there to get some of my Favorite donuts ever!! This was a huge disappointment, first off in Texas they ALWAYS give you hot and fresh glazed donuts they are never sitting in the fro

These donuts are beyond excellent!! I grew up on Shipley's donuts in Mississippi. They are the only donuts I will eat. The only thing I would suggest is that they would keep their donuts hot during the day.

Went on Monday 3/20/23, I was very excited weeks earlier hearing they were coming soon. I joined the rewards program, waited to see when they would open and I arrive with an email for a free coffee and wanted to place an order. Well, they do not participate in the rewards program, no to the Free Coffee coupon I had and to top it off I ordered 4 kolaches and 3 donuts. I should have checked my order but did not. Only got 3 kolaches, have no idea which is which and the donuts while good, the plain glazed was m

I have been to this do-nut shop 3 times since they have opened. The do-nuts are incredible! They have so many flavors and are made fresh on premises. My favorites are the cinnamon sugar and lemon filled. By far, this is my favorite do-nut shop. Watch out Dunkin? and Krispy Kreme.

Disappointed. Sausage kolache just okay and the bun was like a dry hotdog bun. Apple fritter was burnt. Not sure why it was considered sellable. Will not be back...

Poor service. Doughnuts are mediocre at best. For the price, you are better off going next door to Dunkin. They advertise that they sell ?kolachi?s? no? they sell frozen attempts at kolachi?s they are not made fresh. Overall, very disappointed? will not be going back.

Not excited about the donuts, but the apple fritters are the best I ever had. Unfortunately, the last two times I?ve been there, they were sold out. - apparently they cannot keep up with the demand.

The sausage and cheese Kolache is delicious!!!! I also highly recommend the raspberry filled doughnuts. The staff was friendly and quick. I?m excited to finally have a good do-nut place close by!

The workers were so sweet and kind. They made my son's day singing him happy birthday. And the donuts are so good. Thank you for being amazing.

This location is just as good as the ones in Houston! The donuts and kolaches are always amazing and the staff is so nice and helpful! Very excited to support a Texas business in Georgia.

This visit brought back memories and I was so excited to have Shipleys donut! They were fast, fresh and deliciously fantastic! The staff were so helpful and patient as we tried to make our choices! I will be back soon!

Sooo happy to see Shipley?s here in Georgia!!! Grew up on these in Houston, Texas.. Will definitely return ??

Shipley in Georgia??? Shipleys were my favorite in Mississippi and then Texas! Shipleys has amazing donuts and kolaches! The only complaint is their prices are higher than other states which is disappointing but other than that such a great donut place

Shipley?s has the BEST do-nuts!! As a Texan it is a taste of Houston!! This location is friendly and clean, be sure to check it out! If it is out of your way, it is worth the drive!! ????

I?m not one that writes reviews,HOWEVER - the service and quality of food was exceptional ?? I ate Shipley when lived in Texas . So glad they hear and excited how they treat customers! I will tell everyone and be back . My babies will make sure. THANK YOU SHIPLEY CREW

Thought we would try this place out , we were excited to try the kolaches , we drove 20 mins to get here first words out of the speaker were "we are out of those" . Not a great first impression

Kimberly Hodges - do you even know what you?re talking about? The reason there was a line waiting in the rain is because the product they?re selling was SOLD OUT and they were in the process of baking more for us next round of customers. You don?t get that at Dunkin or KK. Shipley?s actually bakes in house. And the owner was actually standing right there in the rain with us giving us a play by play of what was being baked, when certain items would be ready, etc. so I?m not sure where your inaccurate accoun

Excellent doughnuts. Friendly service! I left the original comment. Because the first time was great. Went this Easter Sunday and the girls got the order wrong and the doughnuts were not fresh. Day old. Disappointed

We are transplants from Houston, TX that now live in Atlanta and this Shipley's is just like we remember it back home! The kolaches are especially amazing and people are great. Shipleys >> Krispy Kreme any day.

Friendly service, and I love being able to get good kolaches nearby. The donuts all look great, but I?ve only gotten to try the fritters, which were also very good.

Owners or employees had their kids flicking us off and making faces after we asked them to leave us alone. ?Mothers? joined in as well. Maybe don?t wear company shirts in public if you want to act like that? haven?t tried Shipleys now I definitely won?t it that?s the people they have on their team

Delicious kolaches and donuts! Everything was fresh and high quality. Fast and friendly customer service. Great spot for a quick, tasty breakfast.

So glad to see ShipleyDo-Nut here in Georgia. These taste as good as I remember in Texas. Wish they had a few tables to stand or sit at while there. Now just need one closer to exit 12 on GA 400

So good we went twice in one day because we couldnt believe how much we loved it! The kolaches are perfect and the donuts taste homemade! Were obsessed

Damm it!!! Shake was very delicious and donuts amazing much better Dunkin? and all this for an excellent price!!!

These Do-Nuts are simply amazing, much better than that place a couple of doors down. And all the workers are extremely nice

Problem. Open at 7 and line waiting outside at 9:30 and not letting anyone in! People standing in rain! Out of product?? A good customer service would be alerting people waiting as to why so they know whether they should wait! Out of product, if so bad management and preparation!

The donuts were good, much better than Dunkin' and Krispy Kreme, the only problem was they were missing some donuts from their menu.

SO EXCITED! Friendly & fast service and everything is so fresh! ??????

Wonderful doughnuts and very nice kids working there. Doughnuts are a little more pricey than the doughnut chain next door, but you get what you pay for.

Long line and it's clear why. Huge selection, the cinnamon twists were warm and heavenly. Friendly crew even with how busy they were. I am a fan!

The male manager & team working today was amazing!

Great experience I will be coming back soon although they get busy they still have great customer service very polite and is very sanitary. Fresh coolichie, donuts and coffee??

Best donuts in Georgia!! Staff will do anything to make the customer happy. Great selection too!

The first visit the donuts were Amazing! Today they weren?t as fresh but they were still delicious.

Great food and wonderful service!

Stopped by them 5 mins before door close and the staff was extremely friendly, told what was available. Food was amazing but customer service was exemplary. Will go back many more times.

The service of the clerk was very good and I enjoyed it. Thank you
