Shipley Do-Nuts Grapevine

Shipley Do-Nuts Grapevine

Reviews Summary

Shipley's receives mixed reviews, with many praising the fresh, flavorful donuts and friendly staff, particularly highlighting clean stores and good variety. However, several customers criticize inconsistent service, with some staff appearing rude or indifferent. Kolaches are frequently mentioned as disappointingly small or overpriced. Drive-thru and online order mishaps, weak coffee, and occasional cleanliness concerns (like coughing on food) detract from the experience. While loyal fans love the quality and customer service when done right, others vow not to return due to poor interactions or value issues.

Customer Reviews

You can go inside to order or use the drive thru. They also have seating available inside. They are friendly and the donuts are really good. (I think they taste better than dunkin donuts). I like the ?clairs, blueberry cake ones, and the donut holes with icing. They open at 4:30, but if you want the donut holes, then go around 5.

The coffee is ok, the donuts are EXCELLENT!!! Flavorful without that sugary after taste. Well worth the visit. Plus the girls working here are very nice.

These are overpriced for what they are. The flavors available are fine, but they taste like they've been sitting out for half a day. The kolaches are tiny and around $3/ea. Nuts. There are better places around Grapevine to go.

Came here to try some donuts for a large catering event. The staff member who closed today (12/20) was so kind and helpful! She took the time to explain and show us the different options/ flavors? We will definitely be ordered from here now! As always, delicious donuts!

I ordered from them, and they were missing some, so they sent me seven extra donuts, nearly matching my order. So nice of them! They even sent me a handwritten note! Great donuts for a great price.

The staff were incredibly friendly!! I ended up getting a dozen jalape?o and cheese kolachies and they are amazing! I also got a dozed assorted doughnuts and they look amazing!! I'll deffinatly be coming back here in thr future

Gershon is very friendly. He?s going to help you with whatever bakery item you need come to Shipleys and ask for Gershon.

Doughnuts are very fresh and tasty but atmosphere wasn't pleasant. Rap music being played very loud and another visit on top of music pans were being thrown around which was very loud.

One of the cleanest Shipley Do-nuts I have been to,the staff were nice and the variety of donuts looked fresh. Lovely store

Staff was great and helpful. I needed 3 dz first thing in the morning and they got everything ready for me in under 5 mins.

My go to donuts on my way to work just down the street. Always great staff and amazing donuts..

A bit pricey. The glazed donuts melt in your mouth when recently out. Kolaches were'nt so good.

The lady at the window was extra nice, she took time 2 tell me about all the different donuts and other offerings they have. I think these r new owners. The donuts were hot and fresh and the prices were fair. Definitely recommend.

Best glazed donuts there are! I am so excited that there is a Shipley right down the road from me now! Delicious donuts and great pricing. Definitely worth the hype. Will be returning.

My review consists of four (4) visits to this same location in Grapevine. From employees that aren't helpful and having a language barrier to not filling the $4 long johns all the way today. This is after I specifically asked.

This was so disappointing. There was hardly any frosting on our doughnuts- possibly the worst I?ve ever had. The jalape?o Koloche WAS the worst I?ve ever had. The bread was not very fresh, it was like a hot dog and didn?t even have jalape?os in the meat. It just had jalepeno slices placed inside the bread around the hot dog. I couldn?t even finish it. The lady at the window was very friendly and they got it out quickly, but Walmart doughnuts are literally 10 times better.

Service fee? Absolutely great Donuts ! But what's up with the service fee ordering online? Clearly states that there is no service fee but, when you go to pay it adds a $2 service fee. Not only that, no Bavarian when you go to pick up the order!

Excellent service, fresh and delicious donuts?? and professional employees ??????????.

Kolaches here are great, and our family enjoys the donuts! Getting pretty pricy for donuts now, and customer service seems to have gone downhill. We still go every so often for a treat, but not nearly as often as we used to!

I used to like going to this place to eat but with recent hires they have made the overall customer experience has gone down hill. To be more specific I order a coke & the kid behind the counter did not put ice in it & proceeded to get an attitude when i kindly asked him to give me some ice. Then when they went to get the plain donuts that same person coughed all over it. It will not be back as I like eating at clean establishments with great customer satisfaction experiences.

The donuts are lousy now and so is the service. I was over charged, according to the drive-thru menu prices. Noticed it after I paid & employee had closed the window. She was standing nearby, face in phone. Tried waving her to come back then laid on the horn after several toot toots. After still no response from her, I reversed over the bell then back to the window. I simply asked for a refund for the difference. The owner, I guess, yells at me "The prices changed. You can keep them or give them back for

I won't be back to this place. Customer service and value has totally gone down hill since the big C. I was kicking off my lazy morning by treating my little one and I to some yummy badness and instead we got yucky badness. ?? The cashier seemed very unhappy to be working there and or taking customer orders. Got my order wrong after I repeated it multiple times and proceeded to have attitude with me over it. When I asked for donut holes with sprinkles, I was told that I don't have many options so late in

Nice, new Donut shop had all kinds of wonderful pastries and donuts you can imagine, and when they open they have stuff to sell where as most all others have just put out a sample of their morning work by 5am. This one is a pit pricy for that fact they are fully open @ 5am. This is my new favorite donuts shop!

Looking for really good tasting homemade donuts? Yap this will be your best choice. My favorite donuts are the chocolate covered donuts with pecans and the lemon filling donuts . They are daily fresh and so soft. I enjoy with their great tasting decaf coffee they brew fresh daily all day . you always find everything fresh and the costumer service they give you is so beautiful for they greet you with a beautiful warm smile all the time never has failed me. They have a large variety of donuts daily to choose

Delicious. I don`t like getting donuts for breakfast anymore but I used to. Filled-in donuts are my favorite. Owner is a great guy. Make more apple filled in the morning please!

So friendly and the food is amazing.....Wish they would have them near me!

Sorry, I do not like Shipley's donuts, not a fan at all. One day I was really having a sweet tooth, decided to stop in and just look. OMG, The donuts tasted fresh, not thickly frosted with 10 layers. but really done well. The next time I came in, I asked for old fashioned donuts. The Manager came forward and said he would be trying them out in a couple weeks. True to his word, I stopped in while waiting for pizza across the street. Old fashioned donuts were great. The Manager is very conscientious ab

hello owner** need to read your reviews and can the cashier girl at the window with repeated bad attitude duah*** and quit giving excuses as to why things aren?t good at your establishment? My experience today ?. I Ordered 5 filled donuts and 6 kolaches and the donuts she packed in a small bag squished to a pancake and put the kolaches in a box.. no smile, no how are you, no THANK YOU!!!!!! Then I asked for mustard she gave me 3 packets? hunmmmm but didn?t I order 6 kolaches?

We just moved to Grapevine, TX and my hubby wanted donuts. The staff was super friendly showing a menu from a distance. I stole an extra one and it was amazing. Thank you for being open through everything. Please stay safe. I totally recommend this company and I am rarely a sweets fan (so that means alot).

I came for the kolaches, hoping my experience last time was a one time thing. The dough itsself is big, so I was hopeful. As soon as I bit into it, I was greeted by dough. Took another bite and realized it is full of air with a little bitty sausage inside. The dough is 3 times larger than the sausage. Heck, there's more sliced cheese than sausage. Disappointed. I also asked for half a dozen donut holes, got home and realised I was given half a dozen glazed donuts. It's just me.. What am I going to do with h

Driest doughnut holes of all time. White cracked glaze indicate age. Chocolate dipped holes were so dry on bottom. It was awful.

We like going there. Excellent service and very friendly. Only problem is if you want a cup of coffee you better go before 1 pm.. they STOP making coffee at that time.. that?s totally wrong.. Who doesn?t drink coffee with a donut? Other than that, they make great donuts.

Donuts were fine but the young lady at the front was rude rushed me and was cussing at her coworker. Slammed my stuff on the glass counter and didn't offer a larger bag to carry everything out.

i think the photo speaks for itself on how this Shipleys has gone downhill the past two years

Shipley's is my favorite donut shop. Thanks to inflation for our entire country, we are all hit. Even at our beloved donut shop. The price for one glazed donut is going to run you $1.03. We are all seeing prices rise. I've seen customers get upset as a result, but keep on mind, their cost of goods have gone up drastically. In order to keep the business operating, they need to increase their prices.

The smallest Shipley kolaches in Texas!!! I assumed Shipley Do-Nuts everywhere would be identical as though they had some kind of standard, not so. The kolaches at this location are nearly 1/2 the size of what we were used to from Shipleys! Weird! We live in Houston, and just to be sure my mind wasn't playing tricks on me or that Shipleys suddenly followed everyone's lead by small-sizing their product due to inflation (like other manufacturers do), I stopped in at my local store this morning. Sure enough, a

Everything about this place needs work. Cold coffee and food. Trust me. I know very well how hot my local Shipley?s coffee is at home. It?s stays hot for several hours in my very own mug. The same one I brought in this morning to your sorry shop!!!

The excellent glazed are creamy & delightful. A classic! Nice clean store. Took my baby girl for her first doughnut ever! She loves them!

Super friendly and Kind! My son is allergic to the glaze, but he prefers the ?glazed? donut-unglazed. We weren?t there in time to catch a batch before they were glazed so he dropped a bunch in for us fresh and made sure they didn?t glaze them for us. That speaks to my momma heart immensely!

I am a huge fan of Shipley's! I wanted to give them a 5 star rating but couldn't be cause of my experience - the gentleman serving us made my family feel like we were a burden by being there. What a loss!!! This place is great - clean, great variety, and the do-nuts are super! But the experience was a zero. I know others would rate this much lower bc of that, but I can't. I hope management sees this and looks into it. Great location, clean inside, and I am a fan!

Decent apple fritters and great sausage rolls. Need to fix the coffee. Coffee was very weak (looked like tea), and after asking about it, they made some dark roast (supposedly, they will have both available after they get more equipment) which was also too weak. I am NOT a coffee connoisseur, I just want Decent coffee. Better up your game Shipley, with Kountry Donuts and Starbucks just a minute away, after the newness wears off folks will go elsewhere.

We have been waiting for Shipley's to open.My husband got 6 cinnamon donuts. They were nicely boxed and looked fine.We were disappointed in their taste. We did not care for the taste of them at all.It is a cake donut, but for me not to to eat even a quarter of it was unusual. We threw the rest out.We have had glazed donuts at Shipley's, in other places, in the past, and always enjoyed them.Next time we'll go back to the glazed.I'm sorry this is not a good review, but I do wish you well in your new business ,and

Stopped here because I had to try Texas's kalachi's

Wow im shocked and disappointed, The smallest Shipley kolaches/DONUTS in Texas!!! I assumed Shipley Do-Nuts everywhere would be identical as though they had some kind of standard, not so. The kolaches/DONUTS at this location are nearly 1/2 the size of what we were used to from Shipleys! Weird! ALSO MY COFFEE TASTED SPOILED VERY DISAPPOINTED. THIS MUST BE A FRANCHISE OWN BUSINESS, I WON'T BE BACK!!!

Great donuts and Kolaches. Had a fantastic experience with my family today. Very reasonably priced for a big box store. All employees were friendly and smiling, so nice to see folks with a customer service attitude these days .

Shipley has the tastiest donuts - but customer service matters too. I was recently responsible for feeding breakfast to 15 middle school boys for a weekend retreat. I timed my Shipley run to ensure I walked in with fresh donuts just before they woke up. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way because I waited 15 minutes in there drive-thru, behind only 3 cars. I figured it was due to a difficult customer, but when it was my turn to order, I asked for 3-dozen glazed but was told to pull forward because t

They taste old and over priced

Staff was so so. Prices a little high for donuts compared to other Shipleys. Kolaches were also a little high. Too much bread. Charging for cheese on a kolache? Shocking. Try this place once be prepared to pay a little extra don't expect a friendly staff

They have the best glass donuts on the planet. I miss Shipley's as we don't have it up north...just the average gourmet donut shops or Krispy Kreme. I googled this location as it was on the way to the airport. It was a late afternoon and the guy behind the counter gave me hot and fresh glazed donuts in the back. I was over the moon about this. Best donuts, great experience.

They aren't the best donuts I've had, but they are good. Kids all enjoyed them and the service was good. They have a pretty good variety of donuts and kolaches as well.

I love Shipley Do-Nuts.. I just wish they were cheaper. From full sized pigs in blankets all the way down to the freshest, light and airy donut holes...they've got it all plus this store has a drive thru window.

Great donuts that are consistently yummy. Service is usually fast, but the drive through can take a while if a car ahead puts in a big order. We love this place ??

The donuts are really good and so are the kolaches. I usually go here when I need a donut fix :). The only thing I do wish is that the sausages in the kolaches were bigger because it's mostly air and I have to tear most of the bread off.

Restrooms were very clean! Great job Jack!

I cannot save enough positive things about these guys. Great donuts and superb SERVICE! They acknowledge you when you walk in and will answer any questions. I love to start my weekends and my kiddos with them!!

I love Shipley donuts. They have the freshest donuts and the sausage rolls are amazing. They are always so nice and friendly. This is our go to spot.

Dropped in on this great donut shop shop this morning! It?s within walking distance of Great Wolf Lodge where we stayed for the weekend. My family loved their first experience with these just out of the oven donuts!

I grew up with Shipley's donuts in Waco so I was excited to go in on 8/8 to pick up donuts for work. Edit 9/12: tried it again. Got the kolache and donuts and it was just like it was in Waco! Love it. 5 stars and will be coming back again. Old post: I was there around 8am and there wasn't enough donuts or kolaches for me to get a dozen kolaches and a dozen chocolate iced donuts. Nothing too fancy. The employee checked the back and there wasn't any more being made. I ended up just walking out since both it

I was visiting the Gaylord Resort and decided to stop in for some donuts. Love their donuts and kolaches. The staff were all friendly. Would definitely recommend Shipley's Do-nuts to anyone. Don't forget to ask for HOT GLAZE!

Don?t forget your mask bc you will get scolded. But if you are going to be ?mask police? make sure YOU as the employee wear your mask correctly. Plus, how do you not have kolaches when you 6 hours away from closing? Go make more instead of standing there doing NOTHING! If you hate your job so much, go find another one. Horrible customer service. The Employees hate their job and customers.

Went in and the girl at the counter acted like we were such an inconvenience for coming. 11 in the morning, they close at 3 but couldn't make any more coffee. Poor! We walked out. Don't go here!

The best donuts ever... They sell a cinnamon roll that has walnuts inside, they are the best in the world... and the customer service is really good, all the girls are super nice... I love this place

Had never heard of Shipley?s donuts but my husband and neighbors couldn?t wait for this place to open in Grapevine. Now I know! Ive been to pastry heaven! EVRYTHING is amazing! Pecan cinnamon roll is to die for if you like those flavors. The pastries, cakes, and the kolaches....OMG THE KOLACHES! They are HUGE and sooooo good! Want a raise? Bring some Shipley?s to your boss and coworkers. The owner, Mike, is so very nice. Stop in. Don?t miss the small piece of heaven called Shipley?s that just opened in Gra

Your website and Google maps entry are terrible and need work. Trying see prices for doughnuts and bulk orders for pick up... nowhere to be found. Only catering, and that may take 7 days?? Am I the only person who has ever wanted to order bulk donuts the night before??

Drove around this place 3 times trying to find it. Was not disappointed once my journey ended. Hot and fresh glazed do-nuts just like I remembered getting as a kid back home. Keep your eyes peeled and stop by one morning. It?s worth it.

This Shipley's is always great for service. There's cinnamon roll seem to have something special above and beyond the normal cinnamon roll. It's just like the cinnamon is all the way through and through and not concentrated in one ring.

Clean, friendly place. They even offered treats to my dog when I used the drive-thru. Donuts were good, but I wasn't a fan of the kolaches.

Wow - new "ground zero" for do-nuts in the Grapevine / Southlake area! Loving this new Shipley location. The store, owners and do-nut crew are all looking great. Oh, and the do-nuts are delicious.

The best donuts around! Period! Always fresh; always served with a smile! What else does one need in a donut shop! Love this place!

This is a staple! Me and my daughter go every Friday for ?Donut Friday?. The ownership and staff are amazing. We truly feel like family when we go there.

Drove 15 miles for donuts. The Kolaches were extremely small, bread/sausage both. 1/3rd normal size for normal price. Disclaimer: not THE Mark Cuban

The Donuts are great but the young lady that attends to customers is extremely rude and acts as though she doesn't want to be there. The guys in the back however are very kind.

You know, I don't know if it was because it was after 12 pm and Labor day, but that good Shipley's flavor took the day off, too. The kolaches were good.

Love having a Shipley near home. Haven?t had their donuts in years. Service and staff ya always been great.

Little depressing to bite into one of your big kolaches only to see its mostly air. The sausage inside was so tiny that more than half the kolache deflated when I bit into it.

This establishment does not accept medical exemptions and completely discriminates against individuals with any type of disabilities. My husband who is a 20 year veteran with 6 deployments overseas was yelled at on Veterans Day by the staff and humiliated for having a medical exemption. It's sad how some businesses like these treat their customers.

Needed a donut fix and Shipley's fit the bill perfectly

Brought my daughter here and the staff were very helpful and kind. Great kolaches and delicious chocolate sprinkle donuts!

Doing business on the cheap? Cold donuts and no napkins! Common guys you can do better. If not, I'll take my business to Kountry Donuts on Main St.

Great place! Good selection and the staff are really nice (shoutout to Obed for recommending some good donuts)

Love this place. But they STOP servings coffee at 1:00p.. .that's not right. Everyone loves a cup of coffee and a donut. ???

For the second time the drive-thru got my order wrong. JALAPENO kolache does not mean PLAIN. Big difference.

Friendly staff, location is very clean, social distancing markers for the line etc. Good variety of donuts.

Online menu shows cinnamon roll at $1.85,.Was just charged $2.50 each

Must stop if you travel to Texas! We now live in Florida and were attending a wedding, so the next morning before our flight we had breakfast at Shipley's Do-nuts!

My kids love the sweet of the doughnuts and I love the savory of the Kolaches. Shipley does it right. Awesome selection!

they have a lot of different kind of donuts and all are delicious. I love this place

My first time here, I was not crazy about the order at pick up window no menu available, and the glazed donuts were not the best?too much dough.
