Shipley Do-Nuts (Galveston)

Got me a old fashioned home made apple fritter with vietnames ice coffee ?and they let me wear their hat If I could I would give them 6 stars

Always loved Shipley in Galveston. Moved away but was visiting and had to have breakfast there. Best donuts and people! Erik does a great job for the community and is a super nice guy.

We don't have a Shipley's and with our first experience we ordered 4 plain glazed and 2 chocolate frosting donuts. The plain glazed were puffed up, soft and fluffy.(I should have taken pics but we immediately scarfed them down) They have a nice even glazed over the entire donut. It was 10:30 in the morning and the donuts tasted fresh and yummy and now I understand why it's a busy store.

We were on vacation in Galveston, and stopped at Shipley?s. We were immediately greeted with very friendly staff. We ordering several donuts, and drinks. After paying and sitting down at a table, my 2 year old quickly changed her mind, and wanted a different color donut. The owner just gave me the additional donut at no cost. He also came by our table and asked if we wanted to try some new peppermint donuts. He brought us 2 different kinds to try at no charge. They were good, and especially fun for C

My husband & daughter frequent this donut shop together. He said it is their new favorite! I got to join them for Father's day. The place is clean & love their murals outside. Staff is super friendly & kind. They absolutely adore our daughter! My husband and daughter enjoy their donuts & donut holes. They also have a drive thru if you are in a rush.

The parking lot is small, but there is a drive through! Decent selection of doughnuts at a good price. I asked for a little time to browse, because we?d never been there before. She definitely rushed us even when there was no one else waiting. We did enjoy the doughnuts, they were exceptionally light, and had great flavors.

Hands down the BEST donut shop I've been too... the Coffee is amazing.. and the donuts and the cinnamon rolls are so yummy... Customer service all 3 days I tried them was great .even scored 2 free glazers my last day just because she was so awesome! I Wish I was a local I would be here every single day !!

Great service and delicious donuts. We were so excited about the donuts we ordered and how delicious they were that I forgot to take pictures. I did take pictures of their donut holes which were soft and fluffy on the inside just like their donuts. These were gifted to us when we mentioned it was our first time trying their donuts because we were visiting the area from Florida. If your in Galveston check them out and enjoy some yummy donuts.

Came in town for a car event! I had to stop by, as I?m originally from Houston, and this was the go to donut spot (Houston location). I haven?t been to one in years! Great location, and fresh food!

I love the donuts there. There are so great, but the customer service is terrible. One of the ladies threw the box of Donuts on the counter, right there where I was, and wasn?t even gonna give me a bag I had to ask for a bag.

Ordered a variety of donuts and breakfast kolaches via Uber Eats from this store this morning. I am a frequent patron of this chain but first time at this store. I know what to expect from Shipleys and these were horrible. Every single one was stale/old. If I had to guess, they were made early yesterday. So disappointed after talking them up to our fellow travelers. Shipley HQ needs to make a surprise trip down here because this store is not representing the brand.

The food was nasty. The pig n a blanket meat was disgusting. The bread was soggy. The doughnut holes were stale. I will never go back, nor will I go to another store. It messed my stomach up right before my cruise.

Coming from out of state, I always heard that Shipley Do-Nuts were the best. Good flavor and a great assortment. The kolachies are great and not greasy like other places

Stopped here on our way out of Galveston. I had the cinnamon twist. OMG!!! Amazing! If you can, stop by! It?s the best donut I?ve ever had!

I put in a very large last minute order. These guys knocked it out of the park. Kolaches were all labeled

I ran through the drive thru because this was one of the places I had been told I needed to check out while I was in Galveston. I got a sausage and cheese kolache, an apple fritter, and a coffee. The kolache was good. Thr apple fritter was more like an apple monster. It was huge! I also enjoyed the coffee, which I was a little surprised about because they put the creamer and Splenda or sweet-n-low or whatever in it instead of just bagging it and doing it myself. Never had a bad classier donut from Shipley's on the island. However if you go through the drive-thru be careful, there's a lot of homeless people walking around and walk up to your car at the drive-thru window. Staff is friendly I used to go here regularly and it always happy to help you.

Workers were really nice and there was a good selection of donuts to choose from! Coffee was really good and perfect for our trip back to the airport. They were also open really early (we went around 6am) which was nice cause not much else was open that early for breakfeast.

Oh my goodness. I have lived in Galveston since 2009 and this is the first time I have come to Shipley!! Just out of convenience, I have a donut shop two blocks from me, so that is the one I normally go to. I?m so glad I took the chance and stopped by. the cream filled donuts are my go to and they did not disappoint. Best of all, was the customer service. Come check out this place and say hi to this girl. I didn?t get her name, but she is so cute, friendly and energetic. She will put a smile on your face!

This place was super friendly, great staff. I would talk about the food but we already know. However ? How can Shipleys make better black coffee than any other place on earth? What?s in this stuff, crack? Will seek to fulfill my caffeine addiction needs here again in the future.

Being charged seven dollars for two kolaches and not receiving them isn?t a good business practice. I would?ve canceled the entire order had I known I wouldn?t receive basically half of my tab. They just silently sent my driver away with half of what I ordered.

Great do-nuts and friendly people. The Thai tea was a little weak, perhaps the ice melted, other than that everything was great especially the Vietnamese iced coffee. Beware that the parking lot is very small so if you have a big vehicle you might want to park accross the street.

This Shipley's has Thai tea, along with Vietnamese iced coffee and green milk tea!! I've never been to a Shipley's that has these drinks, so it was truly an awesome find. Came here 20 minutes before closing and was instructed to walk to the drive thru window. I ordered several Thai teas along with a cream filled donut. The ladies who helped me out were really kind and ended up giving me five extra donuts on the house. The Thai tea is delicious as they use real tea leaves to brew it and not instant Thai tea

What an absolute bummer and waste of money. This was my first experience with Shipley Do-Nuts, and I will never return. We placed a delivery order directly through the app?order just arrived, costing about $40. Let's start with the joke of a frappe. It arrived in multiple cups and was a spilled-over, sticky mess. The best glazed donuts I ever had in my entire life.

Dont really give all 5 stars but this place definitely deserves it. It doesn't matter what time I show up , they always have my favorites. They ladies are always nice and courteous. On my last visit , I ordered 2 sausage and cheese kolaches and 2 chocolate filled donuts. The lady gave me a free egg n cheese kolache for free. (It was the last one and it was 4 pm...??) I try to stop by at least twice a week.

I had a good time eating the food, but it was served cold which was a bummer. However, the lady working there was really nice and made the experience better. The drive-through driveway needs some work though, it's kinda messed up and not level at all. If you're driving a low car, watch out because it could scrape the bottom.

Ordered 2 glazed donuts and 2 strawberry filled donuts along with a hot chocolate. Did not look in the bag until I arrived to my destination and there was mold on the donuts. They Obviously do not make it fresh each day and not inspected at all. How many days does it have to be to start growing mold. Quality of food is lacking. Do not waste your time going here.

Stopped by here on a Saturday morning recently while picking up friends from the ship cruise terminal. Busy place/ Organized place/ Clean place/ Friendly place. Plenty of locals and visitors. The locals made you feel welcome. The employees made you feel welcome. And to top it off, the best and quickest customer sevice ever. Of course the jalape?o cheese kolaches and glazed donuts are unmatched as well. Thank you so much. Hopefully we will see you again soon.

I thought if I paid more at Shipley's than it would be better quality than neighbor Mom and pop donut shop. Big mistake! The quality is similar to grocery store donuts. It is way over priced.

I got sausage and cheese kolaches. Absolutely delicious. They were fresh and hot when served. I want more. My daughter got donuts. So delicious.

This is a wonderful location. The donuts are delicious and always warm when we get them. The employees and people around are always so nice to my 2.5 year old daughter. Has become a regular spot for us to grab donuts once a week! The donut holes and the iced with sprinkles is mine and my daughters favorite!

Found a cute little do-nut shop on our way to our cruise this morning! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was so upbeat and exciting. The do-nuts looked incredible, along with all of the other pastries. We ended up getting a chocolate cream do-nut, a chocolate filled do-nut, and a sausage, egg, & jalape?o kolache (which we?d never heard of before). We DEVOURED every bite, and one of the owners even brought us out another kolache (ham & cheese) for free because we had asked for ham, cheese & jalape

I always receive cold donuts. I used to work at shipleys--the one is Missouri city. So I know the difference between a fresh and old donut. It's quite disgusting for a donut place to make donuts at 6 am, then serve them all day. Donuts should be made all day up until about 10 a.m. I'll never give this location business ever again.

Not the easiest place to spot coming from East or West but was able to find without much problem looks a lil run down but has that island flare of pick up the pieces and make a living.... Not to chatty but needs to learn how to smile at least but at least they carry some donuts and kolaches until 4

This Shipleys is awesome!!! My morning was instantly better by the amazing service and staff. The lady at the drive through was so sweet and even gave a sweet compliment to our dog that we brought with us. Try the strawberry frozen lemonade!!!!!!!! Best summer drink ever.

Love this Shipley?s!! The outside of the building is too cute! It is painted with aquatic animals and donuts and really pulls you in. Service was quick and the food was delicious as always! The only thing I found odd was that the sausages used in the sausage and cheese kolaches were different from the sausages used at other Shipley stores. It wasn?t bad though, just not what I expected! Great place to come for donuts, kolaches, and coffee in the morning!

I've always been a fan of Shirley's, but the quality at this location was some of the best. They didn't have the chocolate do-nut holes I like, but that didn't matter. Great flavors, not average!

Dining room was closed. We were stopped at the menu and the owner came out and motioned for us to move forward in the drive thru so a truck could pull in behind us. We got to the window and they were out of almost everything we asked for. What we did get we didn't even eat because it smelled spoiled. I was disappointed since I had heard so many things about how good Shipley donuts are.

Great little donut shop in Galveston. We ordered here a few times and their selection is fantastic.

Donuts are great, but service was surprising. Drive thru line was long, so I placed my order online while waiting. By the time I got up to the window, the order was not ready. I was asked to park and come in, so I did. Order was immediately ready, but as I went to the car I noticed it was incomplete. I had ordered multiple filled donuts, but apparently was only charged for and provided the first. Other items in the order that were properly charged were also missing. Ordering options could be updated

This Doughnut shop has been on point for about 30 years since my Family and I have visited the island. It has became a first stop tradition to pickup on our way into Galveston. Not once have been disappointed with the Food, Service and Atmosphere...try to get there early before Sunrise or you'll have to park way down the street.

We used the drive through and and really appreciated how friendly the staff was! My Kolache tasted great.

Great donuts nearly ALL DAY LONG ??

The drive through employee was blunt and rude with us. We asked for certain items on the menu but she kept telling us they weren't available. So we asked for the items they did have and but she looked at us confused. Kolaches where mediocre and the coffee they did have available was not worth it. Also the dumpster next to the drive through is very unappealing when trying to get food.

Great service and amazing selection - love how they keep all items (donuts and kolaches) stocked up all day so you never have to worry about them running out or being there by a certain time. Very clean eating area.

Looked and tasted like old donuts. Just wasn?t what we were expecting. Our local Shipley shop back in Euless, uses a better sausage for their kolaches and we definitely missed it.

04/10/2021 UPDATE: I want to thank Management for communicating with me and informing that I was not charged for the dozen donuts. On the contrary I got the whole other half a dozen free. As for the coffee it did not taste bad. Fortunately, the amount of milk and sugar that was added was at a good amount. I was just upset about the missed instructions but again Thank you for the communication and getting back to me ?? I love Shipleys but this drive thru experience was not the greatest. Great customer service, donuts are great, and always stocked with lots of beverage options.

Since I was little the few times I got to go was always so exciting. Now as an adult I indulge myself every now and then. I think it's doughnuts are better than krispy Kreme. There kolaches are filling. Slighty on the pricey side. They are quick. They have boba too.

It's always a great experience when coming to this Shipley's! It might be busy at times however the staff are always kind and the food quality always delivers ?? ?? If you haven't tried a kolache before, I recommend you do :)

Placed an order for delivery, then randomly got an email that my order had been cancelled. I called the store, to which they argued with me that "the order was ready and needed to be picked up". Ok, not my problem, I ordered delivery on YOUR website. Three people and much arguing later, I was told the delivery person cancelled the order because it wasn't ready when she got there and didn't want to wait for it.
