It was surf and turf night the food was excellent my steak was cooked to perfection rare. The men's restroom was messy but other than that everything was great no long lines and if there was they moved quickly.. and they have some excellent art through some of their hallways that lead to banquet rooms in the gift shop
I will give Shady Maple's Farm Market a 5 stars. Why you might ask? It's not because it's part of a destination within Lancaster County, PA but because it has both unique snacks and fare as well as some great prices on produce, meat and even doughnuts. First, if you want to see why Pennsylvania is considered the snack food capital of America, look no further - a good portion of their chip aisle has chips and pretzels made locally in the area with some unique flavors. They also have locally made A-Treat
Food is the best! Long line moves fast don't skip It.
We hired Shady Maple Bakery to make our 10" heart shaped wedding cake and it turned out amazing! We also had them make 7 dozen apple cider donuts to include at our wedding too and the guests raved about them! They were great to communicate with over email and phone, they were able to have it all delivered with the caterer, and it was all so cost effective! We'll definitely look into them again for other special events we host.
Excellent grocery store and farm market! Always fresh and beautiful produce!
Every time I go home i come here! I grew up shopping here with my mom when it was a little IGA store. Now it is huge and is the most wonderful grocery store I?ve ever been in! It?s apple and potato season! Make sure you give yourself enough time, you can spend hours. The fresh , local seasonal Produce is astounding! The bakery selection is phenomenal! They have the largest selection of gluten-free items, including bakery items I?ve seen anywhere. Check out the largest cottage cheese container I?ve ever seen
I?ve eaten at the smorgasbord several times but today was the first time I visited the market. What a great supermarket! The produce section had so many variety of apples I?ve never heard off. One variety had apple bigger than a softball. The seafood case was full of fresh fish and some pre-prepped items like bacon wrapped scallops. The bakery was extensive, but the butcher area was one of the most impressive areas. They had a large selection of exotic meats, some fresh, some frozen, like camel and kangaroo
This market is absolute aces! The prices are better than the chain grocery stores, but what is the most amazing part about this place is the fact that you are supporting a local business and local farmers, the produce is always fresh and Pennsylvania Grown! The 20 min drive is worth it because the quality of the produce, meat and baked goods is unbeatable!
Amazing experience, had good dinner with steak and other varieties of food
This is an awesome grocery store. This grocery store is very big and it is super super busy. The bakery, salad/deli and meat departments are very busy so be prepared to wait for your number to be called. The selections are great and well worth the wait. The produce department has beautiful items with a wide variety of organic and local items. The aisles are wide and nicely laid out. It is very easy to find what you are looking for. The staff is excellent and checkout a breeze and there are lots of cashier
This market has it all! Everything is such good quality, too. We spent hours in here, and my group spent almost $600 in total. We wanted it all. I recommend you come in here after you eat not before so you don't overbuy like we did. Can't wait to be back.
Great variety and reasonable prices. Bakery is amazing as well as the prepared foods. The meat counter has beautiful cuts of meat and interesting combos of burgers and sausages, especially!
One of the best Amish markets in the state. The meat department will do custom cuts at a reasonable price. The bakery has some of the best donuts in the county. This place rocks!
We got there before 4pm and spent some time in the 30,000 SQ ft gift shop. Def a must see. Then made our way back upstairs and got seated. Prime rib night (Wednesday) and it was fantastic! Ate way too much, the selection is massive! I had two slices of prime rib and then the largest slice of brisket point you can imagine. It took up most of the plate. Desserts are excellent too. Get there early. Line was still out the door at 6:30pm.
We absolutely love this store!! It is no wonder people come from states away to shop here. What an incredible blessing to be local. Impeccably clean, superior staffing in all their departments!! Very wide selections. Most importantly, every cart is a WINNER!!!!
I went down for mums with my mum. Was surprised to find purple ones! All very healthy and many combinations. The Pennsylvania Dutch lady is always so nice. If you don't want mums they have tons of gourds and pumpkins too.
This is one of the best buffets I have ever had the privilege of eating at. I wish I had taken photos but I had gotten distracted by the amount of food and how delicious the food was. I am looking forward to going back real soon. I traveled a little over an hour and it was definitely worth the travel.
This supermarket was a highlight of our trip. The store has an amazing atmosphere and a great selection of products and fresh produce and meats. The deli was amazing and great prices. A good bakery and awesome bulk product area. We can't wait to return and walk the entire supermarket. Update : We have enjoyed coming to this supper market that we now go every 3 weeks driving up from Maryland. The prepared desserts and salads are outstanding.
Amazing produce....lots of fresh locally grown items...wide variety of bulk foods such as seasonings, snacks, and items for baking. So many freshly baked items...donuts and whoopie pies just to name a few. And on top of all that, anything else that any other grocery store might carry....do yourself a favor and check it out!
I like shopping there very much. Vegetables, fruits and meat are all fresh. Today, I was very angry that the cashier didn't get what I bought every time. I used to feel that I was forgetful and didn't take anything. Today, she packed two bags and put them in a conspicuous position, and put the other bag next to the food bag. When I got home, I found that this was the second time. I was a little intentional. I was very angry. Now most of them go to the self-service to calculate the money by myself.
Shady Maple is a top notch quality supermarket. The produce has droves of varieties from apples to your green veggies! They offer an incredible amount of prepared foods, and yes they have sushi! Again the deli has a wide selection of meats and cheeses. Moving into the meat section, where their meats are processed by them and mostly purchased locally. The service has consistently been excellent. It?s fun! You?ll enjoy the bulk foods, and items typically found in your Amish and or Mennonite groceries. Enjoy!
Shady Maple Bakery was fantastic! We used them for our wedding, and they were easy to talk to. Our wedding cake and desserts were all under $200! They also delivered and set up for a fee and it was worth it. The cake and desserts were gone! Everyone was talking about how good they were and I can?t stress enough how great they are for a wedding!
We were visiting the area and our host recommended this market. Their produce (especially the corn) was farm fresh and reasonably priced. It is a large store with lots of specialty sections: bulk food, organic, deli, bakery, and prepared meals. There's a cafe and food sampling station. It's got lots of parking as part of a shopping mall. They also have a Smorgasbord restaurant nearby.
This is my favorite grocery store! The produce is so nice compared to my regular grocery stores, the bakery is incredible, they have a lot of the food from the smorgasboard in the deli section and they have Fox Meadow ice cream in the freezer section. I do recommend going earlier in the day. I?ve been twice recently in the late afternoon on a Saturday and the bakery is totally cleaned out. I don?t know if it?s like that every day of the week that they?re open or just Saturdays since they?re closed on Sunday
Large store with great selection. They do a few things better than competitors: such as, the service case containing the salads, desserts, and prepared food items and the marked down produce in small bushels. Overall clean with small dusting opportunities on shelving and base of the cases.
Great grocery store to pop into! The staff are so friendly!! The store is clean and well stocked, easy to find things either by checking the overhead signs or the paper directory located on the aisle end cap. Fantastic prices on farm produce, and local meats/cheeses. Absolutely worth the stop in when you're in the area!
The market itself was nice. The people, on the other hand, not so much. It seemed like most were in such a hurry, pushing past people almost running into them. Reaching in front of people while they were trying to look and /or shop. The workers were rather rude. Why must everyone be in such a rush and have zero manners anymore? I'm by no means saying everything should be butterflies and rainbows, but a little common courtesy goes a long way.
Wonderful place. Nice selection of food. Looks fresh. Tastes fresh. Immense store. Always wonderful. Prices are low as could be. Even have a recipe kiosk!
I grew up going here and always considered it to be a place to buy quality groceries at a good price. However, I was very disappointed at my last visit. The apples I purchased spoiled within a week and the prices on many of the dairy products were outrageous! They were much higher than other stores. I was also disappointed to find that their pickled eggs, which I had planned on purchasing, contained red dye!
Absolutely love shopping here! Meat selection & prices are very reasonable! Donuts are definitely a plus!
Every shelf items or common products are more expensive than most chain grocery stores. Although produce costs are fair . The attraction is Farm fresh even if products are not in season. Meat manager is on the ball with freshness. Some area's like that get a 4 rating Maybe in general a3 ratingfor most areas .
I was honestly in shock by how amazing my son's birthday cake turned out. This is some incredible talent. Everytime I order a cake from them I'm blown away. They are the best cake decoraters on the planet. This was for my son's Dorney Park themed party. Thank you so much.
Don't come here if you are on diet but with a good cook at home. The meats are so fresh but very reasonable priced. It is such a big market that can satisfy all your needs for cooking. My son brings me in and I estimate that we will finish shopping in 30 minutes. But I am wrong because my wife, daughter and son all are good cooks. I am the lucky taster only to give my opinion to the three good cooks. The market has a lot of brands that may not be seen in the other supermarkets. There is a lot of loca
Delicious baked goods...whooping pies, donuts, shoofly pies. Our only issue this visit was with an employee in the produce section. She was upset that she was working by herself and loudly let other people know. She was very rude to customers and to another employee who came to help her out
This huge farm market has everything you could ever ask for. Plenty of fresh, absolutely beautiful fruits and veggies, impressive keto options for their sweet goodies. Their smoked meats are second to none as well as a very friendly, welcoming staff. Definitely worth the trip!
I wish it was closer to home. Awesome selection of pastries. Extremely clean store. And the fresh cut meats are fantastic.
This place is phenomenal! I've never seen so many delicious choices before! I purchased a Shoo Fly pie and some homemade oatmeal cookies. Delicious!!
I?ve been coming here, maybe twice a year for many years, and steadily the prices have escalated beyond belief. They did , however, have a few good bargains, tho. Pies were nice. The staff is never friendly. Bought some fresh herbs, outside, under a tent ,for my garden. They were cheap but tiny ( they will grow ). It?s a good place for baked goods?. Donuts, bread, cookies?
It's a little world of goodness. You can find a wide variety of wholesome food, from fresh baked to great fresh meats butcher available to pick and choose for your delight. Not to mention the great produce section. Available pet food and housewares. Plenty of parking, for sure
So much to see and a lot of food we got there at a reasonable price. Had all varieties of food, produce, and baked goods that we really enjoyed.
Great bakery and all around selection. Dawn from the bakery was very friendly and answered every question we had. Excellent customer service. Huge soup and meat selection - eye candy for those that enjoy food shopping. We will be back!
I love in this market. Already fresh meats, fruits and veggies. The staff is nice and they have a great selection.
Very nice market. We arrived late in the day so alot of the donuts were sold out but we still bought some Awesome breads!
Never disappoints! The baked goods here are top notch. From whoopie pies, to cakes and even pies they have a decent variety. One of my favorite things to get from the deli is their chicken salad. It?s absolutely delicious!
We usually love driving down and grabbing donuts, but my wife just found a bandaid in the donut?! How the hell does that even happen? Guess we won't be getting them anytime soon, gross.
My go to for fresh produce!! The selection of apples here is just AWESOME!! Plus they have Plumellos which are hard to find!! I think I actually found my new favourite apple!! The KARMA!! THEY ARE DELISH!!! The prices are great as well!!! They also have an amazing selection in the bakery section!! Lots of sweet treats!!
Great farm market with a variety of different items that are not found elsewhere! The best donuts ever. Good selection of gluten free and organic food as well.
Love it,Large market, nice clean, they have everything, we don't go to Lancaster without stopping here.Great baker and meats!
A true treasure in Lancaster County. Extremely well-run large supermarket. One of a Kind a must go and Shop.. well-run so that you're not disappointed.
Great selection of food for an all you can eat, only giving it a 3 because it honestly depends on your taste and preferences.
We go there every 4 months or so to stock up on meat and other things we enjoy in there. People working there are friendly and helpful
The food supply and quality are well worth the ride for an all you can eat buffet. The country scenery is also a plus.
Took advantage of a amazing meat sale and saw the most beautiful eagle cake
Love this place! We go monthly and always get what we need. The doughnuts are delicious and the luncheon meat is the best prices around.
Nice clean well stocked store. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. A light amount of rude entitled people today. But still a few. Fast checkout!
Store is large, well- lit, and clean. Large selection of produce, meats, seafood, and bulk cooking items. Friendly staff and competitive prices .
Best prices and quality for their fresh produce. Unique meat options like house made sausages and smoked meats.
The perfect grocery store! Everthing is fresh, well stocked quality goods at great prices. Be sure to get some donuts!
Very nice place, they have a very small Slavic section (that's pretty hard to find) . The prices are quite high though. Would go again if lived closer by
Very huge delicatessen selection at Shady Maple Farm Market. Baked goods are also exceptional. Folks come from other states to shop there..!
Every time I go I order the same thing: super fresh pork rib burger, bread, lettuce, tomato, everything, and the mantecados. Another level is a blessed place.
It's an insanely large farmers market! So much to buy! The prices are incredible!
This place never fails us as a place we want to come get a cake again. We went there and had a long conversation with the lady about what we were looking for and then after that, she sent us home with a sample cake pack. They were understanding with money (if necessary) and were ok with different amounts at a time (again if needed). Day of, we were told the cake was there and things went smoothly, once we saw that cake....they 100000% gave us what we wanted for our wedding cake. Everyone LOVED the cake (loo
I love coming out to this market..indoor shopping with a convenient stop and go stand to eat as with sandwiches, beverages, ice cream and soft pretzels. The far end also has a sit in and eat cafeteria style restaurant as well. Each section of the store has many departments filled with goods and unique foods as well. All kinds of tasty treats to eat and the employees are full of knowledge..if you can not find something, someone is right there to help you. The bakery is great. I must say though if u want a do
Large variety of everything, veggies, fruits, seafood, meat, prepared goods, baked goods... service is always excellent.
I love this little farmer's market grocery store. The prices are reasonable and The quality of food is much better than competitors.
One of our favorite destinations for unbelievably fresh produce at great prices and tons of baking supplies!! Love this place!
Love the produce and bakery. Always unusual fruits and such. Always go when I'm in the area.
New York City native visiting Lancaster. Went over here after dining at smorgasbord. Immediately blown away by the reasonable prices on everything. Half a bushel of apples for under $20?! Large bottles of olive oil under $20???!! Lots of local and homemade goods. Literally dashed across the store when I heard half off donuts in the bakery department. The strawberry cheesecake donut was divine. I would eat one every day if I could, lol I'm also surprised at the variety of stuff here. I'm a chef who cooks f
Good quality food and plenty of options! Inwas surprised at the prices of meat and most other things seemed to be less expensive than other places. Not the greatest parking only reason for the 4 stars. Definitely worth going for food and supplies
This place is amazing, a vast amount of options to choose from. You have to get some of their doughnuts, deliciousness!
I so enjoy going to Shady Maple. Driving from Reading, looking at the farms and countryside,it's so pretty. The little roadside stands and horse and buggies just make the trip special. Shady Maple baked goods are like homemade ?? Lots of fresh produce great prices, tons of deli choices, and meats. Well worth the trip, for savings and quality.
Amazing place. You can satisfy: sweet tooth, organic needs, sugar free needs, gluten free needs. Bachelor inability to cook meals and sides, needs. Homemade meals and sides and desserts. Spices and candy (nostalgic candy lovers must come here.) I can find peanut oil, Amish butter, corn pudding, cranberry salad, perogies ($3), corned beef, whole chickens, raspberry pie, all kinds of pies small and large sizes, apple dumplings, donuts and cakes, made there. Colorful layered jello salads, Watergate salad, (31
Incredible.... worth the stop. much better supermarket than others found in much bigger cities. The gluten free section was the largest I have seen ever.
First time at the farmers market and I was not pleased. Employees were rude and unhelpful. I didn't know where the check out was and when I asked, the employee said "over there" didn't even point in the direction of the check out. Over all I was very disappointed.
Everyone should try this place out at least once very good food and really friendly staff
Beware of this tourist trap. Read inspection results (bakery). It may be in your best interest to shop local farmers markets selling fresh and custom foods versus near end date prepared food items and marked up meats transported from far and wide.
A wonderful place to shop. We stopped for some Donuts. The most custard I've ever eaten in a donut. In both of them.
Great food, great service, great price. I love about an hour and a half away. I try to get there at least once a year.
Shady Maple as a wide selection of home style food, a meat departments, Amish and Mennonite dishes and a surprisingly large gluten free departments. Baked goods and deli are insane. Produce is off the hook.
I choose to take a longer drive than my local town grocery store to shop here instead. Their produce, meat, and cheese selections are excellent and I can find anything I'm looking for. Prices on some items are comparable to bargain stores. Shopping here has made my cooking taste better and be better for me.
Always find great produce here. The doughnuts are to die for.
Great quality of food all the time. It's a great place
Love to stop by here after visiting the Smorgasbord. This market has some good jams, dressings, and pickled items to look at. The prices for produce are lower than chain grocery stores and everything looks very fresh. They have a variety of different flavor popcorn, like pizza, garlic, salt and onion, and caramel. They have a great bakery area with good donut options, flavored bread options, and cookie options. This place also has a pre-made case - everything in it looks delicious, especially the desserts ?
Just about everything under one roof. Their doughnuts are some of the best around and grab n go sushi is swimmingly good!
The food prices are reasonable. Love the atmosphere. The workers are very helpful and courteous. My kids also enjoyed shopping here.
Absolutely love this grocery store!!! Their donuts are delicious and fresh. Tons of varieties to choose from. They literally have the most selection of fresh pastries and cakes. Their meat selection is huge as well. Meats from Camel to ostrich. Their blueberry breakfast sausages are absolutely amazing. My favorite is their apple maple breakfast sausages. Clean and very friendly staff. Make sure to get their fresh local produce. Definitely stop here, you will not regret it and you'll want to shop here every
I got a donut from their stand in the central market and it was hands-down the best donut I?ve ever had in my life :) I wish I would have gotten more. The girls were also so friendly and sweet. I got the raspberry cream filled.
