Customer Reviews

Depends on what one you go to for service. Some people are great. Places are all crusty and meet major updating and even more cleaning. I have been pretty loyal due to church on Sunday.

Looked for a donut shop came across sesame donuts. Need a dozen donuts for a morning training. They had a great selection and priced well also

Sesame Donuts has been a nostalgic stop for us since we first moved to the area. While the staff is consistently friendly, the donuts themselves are just okay?often on the dry side, unfortunately. We noticed a price increase in recent years, which diminishes the overall value. Additionally, the cleanliness of the shop leaves something to be desired. If you're in the mood for an average donut, Sesame Donuts will suffice. However, for truly exceptional options, I'd recommend exploring some of the other local

Popular spot for donuts, every time I go here there is a bit of a crowd, sometimes a bit of a wait but well worth it! The raised glazed donuts are mostly what I get, tho I have tried some of their other donuts and they are delicious ?? There is a wide selection of pastries to choose from. I would recommend the trip!

My favorite donuts for years, never disappoints!

Tasted like dirty grease with each bite from assorted donuts. Could not find anything that tasted fresh! The frosting was old and cracked. The simple glazed donut was stale and the glaze cracked from drying out after the first bite. Never again!!

Amazing service and usually great food but I was pretty disappointed by my bagel that was ?toasted with cream cheese? the last time I came in.

The donuts are light, fluffy, and fresh. Pretty dang good. Classic flavors abound.

Extremely disappointed in this place. It has gone downhill. I received the wrong order from Sesame Donuts through Doordash. I ordered a box of 6 donuts and all of them were not the flavors I requested. I tried to call the store, but they didn't answer the phone so I decided to go into the store to correct the order. The girl at the counter was extremely rude right away when I came up to the counter. She acted annoyed that I even came in. She said that we received the wrong donuts because they were out of th

The first stop of the 2020 Rose City Volksters Holiday Cruise and charity drive. Loads of fun, and the doughnuts were really good too.

Wandered upon this shop in our Portland adventures a few weeks ago. We loved it. The breakfast sandwich with sausage was delicious. Probably because it was not American sausage but Lebanese. Super yummy donuts too. The gentleman that was at the counter was so fun to talk to and he gave us some great places to hike and see while in Oregon. This place was way better than Voo..... in my opinion.

Always great. Generous amour of filling and frosting.

Stopped at 2 in the afternoon on Father's Day. The fellow working was very kind, pleasant, and they had everything I wanted even that late on a special day. The donuts were good, as they always are. I've been to the ones in Tigard and on Scholls Ferry, and live near the one in Sherwood. They are all equally great!

They made my friend?s birthday

I'm not a big donut person, but I actually really enjoyed these. My preferred donut is the light, airy, flakey donuts (think krispy kreme but less sweet), or an old-fashioned/cake style donut. These were neither as I got one dozen variety all raised donuts, however, I actually really like them. They are not super dense and not overly sweet, though you can get that if you desire. Great variety, and they still taste great on day two.

I love coming here with my son. And from the looks of it so do other parents. There is always a line that moves very quickly. The service is helpful and friendly and the donuts are so good! My favorite is the twist and I have it on good authority that all the fritters are delicious. They have a huge selection as well!

Delicious and freshly baked every morning

This is our go to donut shop. It never disappoints. The customer service is fantastic. Staff is always super friendly and kind. Tonight, came in and got a beautiful assortment. And the boxes are so cute! Thank you so much!

I don't eat donuts but I do eat croissants and Sesame Donuts has absolutely the best croissants in the metro area! Get there early because they go fast! They have great coffee too, and the people that work there are just as nice as they can be. I highly recommend Sesame Donuts in Tigard Plaza.

They have some of the best donuts I've ever had. They outshine krispy kreme and voodoo donuts.....and they are friendly and always pleasant. Amazingly they are open until 10pm, which is really nice because all the retail stores close at 9pm, so this gives you the opportunity to grab a yummy donut as you head home, and if your lucky, some nights they offer an end of the night special on their donuts ....which is cool, but their donuts are so good that I think people could care less if there's a special or no

Just bought these about an hour ago, paper peeled the frosting right off (best part). Sad.

The donuts are exactly what you'd expect from this delicious local chain. I had one apple cider and one pumpkin spice. Both were still warm! The coffee, however, is not the same as at other locations. They brew it on the weak side (watery).

LOVED the smoothies! Covid conscious location. Have a mouthwatering array of divine donuts! Helpful and friendly employees willing to give you a quick 'rundown of their tasty choices. Great breakfast stop, WILL RETURN! Thank you Sesame Donuts for being a great place to stop in my new town! ??

I love them ! So cute <3 i think my kids will love these.

Well I?ve never tried these ?donuts ? everyone?s been raving about. Figured I could just try one?.. they were wonderful!! I was very wise and only ate the one!! I totally didn?t eat an entire dozen!! I didn?t!!!!!! Seriously!!!! No I didn?t why are all of you looking at me like that?!?!

Always great donuts and service! I Highly recommend the powdered cream-filled if you need serious sugar. My favorite is the blueberry glazed donut and crossiant. I know the guy who owns this sesame donuts is really great guy. Highly recommend the fruit smoothie too. Peach-mango is my ?? fav.

Good variety.. was not brave enough to try their sesame donuts but will next time..

I love Sesame!! They are very tasty (lots of frosting) and the service is friendly. It's small and the bathroom is kinda scrunched, but still a great place. Prices are going up though... Locally owned, so that's good.

Products are amazing. There isn't a donut that we don't like. Went in and asked for them to pick out the dozen for us. They have their pumpkin spice donut, and it is sooo good. Moist with the tight amount of spices and pumpkin to flavor.

I?m new to the area, and I sure wish this place wasn?t so close to my new home! The donuts are delicious, and fairly priced. The staff here is always welcoming, especially Shada. So other than the looks my wife gives me for eating too many donuts, there?s no reason not to come here often!

Good, no nonsense donuts and coffee. The service at this location is really pleasant, the coffee is always hot, and the donuts taste fresh each morning. These aren?t $4 donuts you?ll get from places downtown, but I think they taste better.

Staff was rude which isn?t usually the case. She was in accommodating to a tefund request due to medical need. And refused to tell me when management was going to be in. Will tell all my friends to pick a different sesame doughnut location. Never choosing this one again!!!

My favorite donut chain to hit up all the time! Excellent hours, the staff are so nice and the donuts themselves are darn near my all time favorite. Perfect place to get plenty of cheap amazing donuts for friends, family, work or whatever

Raspberry jelly donut holes always a winner for me, hubby likes blueberry cake and daughter loves pumpkin spice donut. My son usually orders flavor of the day and hasn't complained once. They have a happy hour dozen special which we take advantage of but are more than willing to pay full price for these fresh yumyums. Employees are always friendly and nice clean atmosphere

Amazing donuts and bagels !They even have some gluten free items.

Great selection, friendly service. Only downfall is they are so close to the office that everyone in the office stops to get donuts regularly. Constant supply of donuts it seems. I'm not even sure that can even be deemed a downfall. I haven't had a chance to try the breakfast sandwiches or drinks, they're always so busy I hesitate to order those items as I don't want to hold up the line. You can call large orders in ahead of time so I suppose the same would be true for other items, I'm just not familiar eno

Excellent and speedy service, affordable and delicious donuts. My only concern is that I saw an employee sweeping the floor behind the registries pretty vigorously and the Donuts were only about 2 feet from the floor on display, is there a concern about dust and dirt being lifted into the air possibly getting on the food? I'd be happy to shop there again of course and if there's an answer you can respond to this post if you'd like. Thank you

First time I have ever been there. I could have gotten better tasting donuts from Fred Meyer, Safeway or Walmart. The chocolate tasted bitter, like it was mixed with something else. The donut holes were on the dryer side too... but the customer service is nice.

Best donuts in town! IN RESPONSE to the reviewer with the question about sweeping: Health Code requires all food to be at least 6" off the ground. Bakery display cases must be approved by the OR Health Authority. Restaurants must mop floors daily and keep floors free of dust and debris with proper ventilation. Sweeping between display case & counter keeps particulates out of the air that would otherwise be kicked up by the movement of servers between the counter & display case - it's a good thing! :)

The girl that works there thinks she has so much power and authority over people. She thinks she is a doctor and has the right to give medical advice about masks aka muzzles to control, divide and conquer the population. She needs to be fired asap! As good as the Donuts may be I will never enter this establishment again. One customer down, many more to come and probably many others lost already. SHE is going to make this donut shop go out of business.

This is a tastier version of Dunkin Donuts. Having eaten here many dozens of times over a handful of years, I have never had a stale donut, the coffee is always hot, and the staff are remarkably patient and pleasant. I recommend: -Blueberry Cake if you're not looking for something too sweet -Oreo Cream if you want a LOT of sweet -Coconut Cream if you like some texture -Cream Cheese Strawberry if you like a mix of fruity and creamy -all of their too-easy-to-eat donut holes (you can even buy just one or two

I came in and asked for a bacon, egg & cheese on a toasted raisin bagel. I was told that they only had raising bagels on Thursdays. So I said a plain bagel is fine. Please make sure it is toasted. There was a younger male and an older female working that day and the male working that day made my order. I also picked up 4 glazed donut holes and thank goodness I did or I would have been a very hungry person until I could leave my job for lunch! I get to work and open my sandwich. Not toasted, Turkey bacon. I

The donuts we're interesting and maybe even good but its hard for me to recall clearly as the bad service was at the forefront of my mind. I'm not really a fan of frequenting establishments who's employees make me feel as if I'm a bother. Try Tigard donuts, common types of donuts but very good and friendly faces every time I go.

They always have a great selection and I can get a great latte there too!!

The best donuts ever. Drove all the way from Milwaukie and ate all 8 donuts in 1 day because I just couldn't stop eating them ??

I like the selection of donuts offered. A lot of variety. I've also always been pleased with the freshness and taste. Not every donut shop can make a quality old-fasioned but Sesame has a great one.

Donuts are delicious! Seseme donuts always an old time favorite. Great coffee, not too many tables but a great place to chill for a couple min. Have a chocolate milk, juice, smoothie and some other favorites.

The donuts are never fresh at this location. I don't think they're cooked in house, but brought from another location. Go for the donut holes or the fritters, everything else is a crapshoot. 60 donut holes for under 9 bucks is a good deal though.

This is by far the BEST Donut shop in OR. When my husband, our three year old and I moved to Beaverton we came to Sesame Donutseeds nearly everyday. Obviously the Donuts themselves are beyond amazing, but the staff are what is really amazing. Now that we have moved to a different state we think of these people all of the time and cannot wait for the chance to go to Sesame Donuts again

Today I bought 3 donuts for less than five dollars and gave the women behind the counter a ten dollar bill and let her know that there?s no change needed. I?m just trying to support small businesses and their workers in this time when I know they need it. And I like to help when I can. But I received zero acknowledgment, no eye contact, no thank you, no nothing. All the sudden a good deed didn?t feel so good. Clearly she?s not appreciative of the business or the over 100% tip. So I?ll bring my busines

Seemed to be a really popular place on a Sunday morning. The donuts were fine, but we only tried 3.

Not bad but the dozen I had seemed a bit stale. Much better than other options but definitely nothing to call home about. Just your standard doughnut joint. The apple fritters were pretty good though and they are massive.

This is my go-to spot for donuts. I like them better than Voodoo or Blue Star. They are reasonably priced, have a good variety of flavors, and taste great. Service is always quick and friendly, even during Covid.

I used to go here more, but too many places just aren't what they use to be. I PAID $1.25 I believe, for a MINI fritter. Not worth that. Fritters are better at Fred's where I tend to get them. I also didn't care for the guy helping me when I asked about the selection. On plenty of occasions I have gone here, been happy with the donuts and staff Definitively NOT today It's a very small shop, few seats and then it's pretty full. And...unlike Arnold Schwarzenegger - I am feeling I won't be back. I will g

I went in about 8:45 on 5/30/20. I ordered a dozen doughnuts. They were the worst doughnuts I have ever bought in a doughnut shop. They were ALL over cooked! I got, maple, chocolate and the mixed bars.... all browned ( dark brown, almost burned), the cake doughnuts were dense, really dark and greasy, the devils food cake doughnuts were dry, , over cooked. I have bough better doughnuts in the grocery store bakery, even 7-11 has better doughnuts. I was so disappointed, I will not return to that location! The

I love Sesame Donut's. I've tried all the high-falutin donut spots in the Portland area and nothing compares to them. Every Sesame location I've gone to has consistently excellent donuts and always kind quick service.

Horrible customer service!!! The older ladies working basically denied to make me a bagel with cream cheese because she had just put it away I was kinda shocked just got my donuts and left

Oh wow we just stopped for first time. The Cherry Fritter is OUT OF THIS WORLD YUMMY!!!!! I enjoyed other varieties we tried, but the Fritters were bomb! Going back to try the Raspberry Fritter and Devils Glaze next time.

NORMALLY this is our favorite donate shop, but today we had probably the worst experience. We came in and were the only people there, my children where picking what they wanting(not taking long at all) to land the lady behind the counter got very rude. "I thought only 5! There 5 of you!" She started rushing us and didn't even get us the right donuts at the end. More people came in so we decided not to press the issue. But I don't think we will return. That is not customer service!

I drove 40 mins with 3 kids and a fussy 1 year old after leaving. For donuts. I was super excited cause we have no existing donut shops near home and I come in telling her that we came from 40 minutes away to get donuts. I start to pick donuts out cause she was rushing it seemed. Then I name what one box was going to be because I had a friend tell me. She immediately starts grabbing whatever she wanted with out me saying anything. I had to stop her so I can add a few others I thought my friend would like be

I love this donut shop . I was in town last week and visited this store. The staff are friendly, and professional, it is a family atmosphere. It is a clean place and the donuts are amazing . When I go back to Oregon, I will be coming back again.

Sesame donuts is second to none. Hands down they make the best donuts on the planet, and I'm willing to fight ??anyone that says different. ?????????

I really like this location of sesame donuts. Only have been here a few times and always received stellar customer service. It?s a local favorite for a reason!

I've been buying donut's from them for around 20 years. Never a bad experience. Lovely people and a great product. Even Gluten free and Vegan options.

Sesame donuts is like one of the best places to go when you want a donut. You can get a whole lot of donuts for really low prices. The bread of the donuts taste like they were just made unlike like other donut shops.

Donuts are pretty good! However, the customer service is horrible and your totally rushed into making a discussion as soon as you walk in regardless of a line or not. Now I usually know what I want and I'm ready. A big lady behind the counter remarked and said "your fast at picking , finally someone who knows that they want.," I rolled my eyes at her and she saw it. I get it, people are indecisive but it's donuts we all Iove to oooo and ahhh at all the tasty choices plus customers tend to buy more when you

These are the best donuts. There may be fancier pricier donuts flavor-wise you're not going to do and the price is really mobile reasonable.

Our favorite donut shop! Sesame Donuts are delicious any time of day or night. They even have a 24 hour location. Go grab a variety of donut holes and don't forget the sesame seed holes.

Paid for Large smoothies but was served medium, and the young ladies working thought it was funny.. ??

Very clean & welcoming service. They have maple bacon bars. A must try....

Cheapest place to get donuts in tigard!

Classic awesome donuts. In a city that specializes in crazy donuts, these are my standby favorite donuts that always win a crowd over at the office. They remind me of donuts from childhood... So good! Go ahead indulge a little.

2 donuts and a hot coffee, what more could a girl ask for? The donuts are very filling and substantial and make Krispy Kreme look weak. The service is friendly and fast.

Oooh man!! The variety of donuts they have .. If you like great Fresh donuts , clean and friendly service at great prices.. this is a must !! I was highly impressed!! And they deliver with Uber eats!! Can't get any better!!

Great smelling and looking donuts. Very sad offerings for gluten-free folks. The gf donuts were dry. It wasn't great.

Been in Portland two + years, still the best doughnuts I have had up here (including voodoo, and blue star) Do yourself a favor and have their apple fritters or crullers ideally early in the morning when fresh.

Fast, friendly service. A great selection of donuts at fair prices. Thank you! ??

My favorite donuts. They have the best old fashioned, bavarian cream, and lemon filled. They have a great selection that usually lasts late into the morning. Love the donuts.

I special ordered 2 doz doughnuts for my daughter's birthday. I went to pick them up and the kid had no clue what I was talking about. He made them for me but had to use doughnuts on hand so I ended up with hole-less doughnuts without cream.

Just went there cause it was close and was very pleasantly surprised. Great doughnuts!! Unique flavor combinations. Would definitely recommend you try them!

I love Sesame Donuts! They have great vegan as well as gluten free donuts, and positively the BEST cake donuts around for great prices and service!

Love this locally owned spot. Friendly, fast as they can be for a small shop. Doughnuts always fresh, never had a stale or grease one from this location.

I live Sesame Donuts! Are they very similar to Dunkin? Yes - which is part of the appeal for me, having grown up in the midwest. No one else has vanilla cream filled doughnuts (except KK but they are waaaaay too sweet). Also, Sesame has what I consider to be a genius invention - the jelly-filled doughnut hole. As you know, the doughnut version often sits in the box while the other doughnuts get eaten because, although we know its tasty, we don't want to commit a big ol doughnut's worth of jelly-filled messi

Great unpretentious donuts, good selection (but much more in Beaverton) custard is canned, boo. And, like most donut shops, they underfry the apple fritter. It?s doughy in the middle. Great buttermilk donuts!!!!

Good donut place. Sesame and pumpkin cake donuts are divine. Going in late Sunday yields reduced donut costs. Wish they had cullers. Fritters are nothing to write home about.

On Father's Day, they made sure to have extras on hand, so even at 2pm I was able to get my dad's favorites! Love these guys!

Got a glazed twist. It was burnt and entirely inedible. Also got a bunch of random donut holes. They were so dry. I regret going here very much. Would have been better off with grocery store donuts tbh.

I love the 185th location. I stopped into the Tigard one just by chance. Doughnut was not very fresh, and the gal working could have cared less about helping me. Maybe she was having a bad day, but no eye contact and hardly said a word.
