Good selection of donuts and croissants. They also carry breakfast sandwiches which is available the whole day.I like the donut holes and ham croissant. Friendly staff and clean atmosphere. Going here early is better because the donuts and croissants are made fresh.
We enjoyed our visit here. The coffee, donuts, donut holes were great. The staff here is also very friendly and warm and helpful. Got to come back here and try some more up there stuff. Especially the Oreo donut that was out of stock when we visited.
I love this location, people actually hang out in this one, it feels like a part of the community! I had the pleasure of getting some donuts for a group of people the other day, and the woman behind the counter (I wish I could see her name) but she was extremely sweet, friendly and provided excellent customer service. Will be back again! ??
This has been a family favorite spot for 5 years now. I had the Baklava this morning. I grew up with Armenian best friends and this has to be some of the best baklava I have ever had. The lady was concerned about the 2.75 price point but let me reassure you it's WELL worth it. Beautifully done. Delicious!!
Amazing donuts with a great selection of standards and some rotating/seasonal selections. Buttermilk bars are perfect, and great croissants if you prefer that (try the za'atar!).
Sesame Donuts was founded in 1987 by an immigrant from Sierra Leone and is one of the Portland area?s oldest donut chains. They?ve been around longer than Blue Star, Coco, Pip?s, Doe and a most other local donut chains. Sesame has almost been around as long as Voodoo Donut. Currently they have 10 mostly suburban locations with a few in the city. Got two each of Oreo, M&M Yum, Sid?s Special, Lemoncello, Toasted Coconut and Portland Cream
The glazed donuts are amazing! If you have ever had krispy kream donuts these compare big time to them! So sweet and flakey! The Oreo cream donut and the cinnamon roll were also delicious! The apple cider donut was not our favorite. Although we did have it a day later. Can?t wait to visit again!
My wife and I tried this place for the first time, and we absolutely love it. First off the location is great. Nice and safe, and a free parking lot. The donuts were affordable and very tasty. Soft, and lasts a day or two extra and still tastes great. The guy working that day was friendly and nice and gave us free apple fritters for being first time customers. We thought that was so nice, and we will definitely be back. We are new to the area, and scouting out great donut places. Surprised this ratin
This location is "Sesame Central," where most of the donuts sold in the Sesame locations are made. The donuts are always fresh and delicious. The service is great, consistent, and accommodating.
I went in once and a worker commented how the owners wanted them to not reuse the disposable gloves to save money there was a pile of used disposable gloves by the computer, so I was a little concerned about that. But another day I was outside in my car and saw how one of the girls received money, proceeded to pick up trash from the floor and with the same hand and glove rearrange the donuts!!!!!!!!!!!! The other girl touched the computer screen and received cash and didn't change gloves! ???? not going ba
I judge a donut by its original glazed. It was just the right touch of sweet. The beef breakfast croissant was so satisfying. I would definitely come here frequently if I was from around here. Halal
This is the BEST location out of all of them. Blew me away with the freshness of the donuts ??
This place is hands down better than any other donut place around. Krispy Kream, Blue Star and Voodoo Donuts all pale in comparison. Friendly staff, great food and awesome prices. Try this place out and they also have rotating seasonal items.
Asked the employee to fill a long John with Bavarian creme and he either completley misunderstood or was new lol otherwise friendly service just seemed like he was shy and new
Love these donuts. Tried a bagel sandwich however and it felt like it wasn't toasted but microwaved.
I used to go to Sesame Donuts once in a while specifically to order their sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast bagel because the sausage they used was delicious! I believe it was a sliced Portuguese sausage and it set Sesame apart from other breakfast sandwiches. It was flavorful and different! Today, my fianc? went in to order a couple of breakfast sandwiches for us, and arrived home with a basic sausage patty. SO disappointing! I?m not sure what happened, but I hope this isn?t a permanent change because it?
Staff at this location is by far the best hands down!! Donuts from here and inexpensive but taste very high quality.
Their regular coffee is absolutely horrible! It was not only cold but tasted like it was four or five days old even though it was apparently freshly brewed. The employee made me a new cup and it was also cold and tasted horrible. My donut on the other hand was amazing as always at Sesame Donuts. I paid $3.50 for one donut and a 12 oz cup of nasty coffee. Nothing could help this coffee be any better not even the creamer I put in it and sugar. And the cold temperature was before I added creamer.
I love Sesame and the donuts, but this location seems a bit disheveled. Someone spilled a drink and the floor was still sticky, and I think the door wasn't working properly. I'll keep coming here, even though I live in Tualatin...
Love their donuts. And the customer service is always positive.
Love this little shops donuts. Great baklava too.
Took my donuts Togo. But customer service was not my best experience. I came in right after a mom and her son got their items and the counter person went to make a phone call around the corner. I'm sure she didn't see me and the phone call was important, but she didn't apologize for making me wait. I wasn't going to make a comment but this keeps popping up for me to comment on my experience. So I thought for training purposes to remind employees if you are away from your front counter always acknowledge the
Me and my family's favorite beaverton spot.. I mean it has great donuts and it's next to Starbucks. You can't go wrong with that.
I?m so in love with this donut shop. The vibes and atmosphere was amazing. I loved the donuts and the service were amazing! The lady was so sweet. The entire concept is amazing. They have good seating and it?s such a great place to study, date, and hang out with friends. Would highly recommend if you?re looking to support a local shop and have a great time. I order a match latte and rose latte loved both. :)
Donuts and humans have loved each other since baking was invented. I'm pretty sure anyone who says they don't like donuts is proof that there are indeed aliens on Earth. And here in the PNW, a lot of us take donuts as seriously as we do our coffee. So most of us won't bother with a donut place if it's not worth it! Sesame Donuts is worth it. They aren't trendy or spend their annual budget on their marketing. They put their energy in supplying tasty and creative donuts that are very consistent with their te
Doesn't taste any better than grocery store donut. The 2x to 3x price is definitely unreasonable for the quality of their donut. We did a blind taste test and no one can tell the different between grocery store donut or sesame donut. The only reason for 2 stars is more variety. I like to support local business but not in a way that I feel I got ripoff.
I can't give this place enough stars. Customer service is amazing. The food is fresh and delicious. Best breakfast sandwich. This place is fun and definitely puts a smile on my face every time.
Great selection of donuts including the unique, less sweet sesame donut! Also have delicious fresh baklava and croissants. Only place I know that has real almond croissants!
My teens went & had a fantastic experience. Apparently the staff was extra friendly & chatty & gave them each a couple of extra doughnuts comparable to what they ordered (not the plain ones)! Not saying you?ll get freebies all the time - or that we should, but I was happy to have had my young adults treated so kindly.
Very clean, amazing selection, and it makes the neighborhood smell amazing during peak baking hours ?? Not even a huge fan of donuts, but they have some great ones! They also have a lot of savory options too, if you're looking to cut down on sweets!
The staff is so friendly and makes you feel welcome. The donuts are really yummy, but I bought some tea cookies that were out of this world. The gentleman who bakes them is very nice and a great baker. Love this location.
donuts are so so, but $6 for a old fashioned and a cinnamon roll is absurd.. yes not a dozen, but 2 donuts were $6, quick google search and the avg cost to make a donut is 12 cents, so let?s just say for sake of argument the cinnamon rolls are more so these 2 donuts cost 50 cents to make, you are talking about a 12x markup?ridiculous and I will not be back
I ordered 5 dozen donuts and 180 donut holes and needed to pick them up at 8:00 in the morning. It was right in the middle of their rush, and when i walked in they were ready for me. I had my daughter with me and the cashier helped me walk the donuts to my car so i could carry my 18 month old. Great Customer service. I've loved this donut shop for years and will continue to give them my business because of how well they treat everyone!
I go here and tip well because if you read the rest of these reviews, you will see a whole bunch of hints at racism. The donuts have never been bad for me (I went in on Christmas Eve once and they had a huge selection and everything was fresh) and the staff has always been kind, though a little standoffish, but reading the reviews, that doesn?t surprise me. The Boston cream is good and my mom loves the apple fritters.
Staff is nice and friendly. Always good donuts. This store is a bit larger than the one over by Joann Fabric, I assume sometimes the selection is low depending on the time of day but this store does seem to have room for more stock so if you NEED a specific donut you might have to check other locations. Kid-friendly with windows to see them making/frosting things.
Best donuts in Portland by far. Great selection, wonderful staff. I make it a go to must whenever I am in Portland. Would highly recommend to family, friends and everyone! Have now gotten my two grown daughters addicted to them as well!
We have loved this place for years. But the donuts we got this morning were bad. The apple fritter had no apple, it was hard and tasted old. It had too much glaze and was like orange on the inside. The bars were sticky like they were under cooked. I hope the owners see this and can bring the standards back up.
Deliciously fresh at all times of day, one of my favorite locations!
Oh my gosh the lady working here is so nice. She was just sweet and magical with us and the people here before us. Like how could someone be so kind and excited about life after the last few years?? When we left my friend turned to me and said, she has just made me a customer for life.
BEST donuts, no matter what time of day you come! This is a family-owned local small business that is well-worth its weight in gold. This is a family favorite! If you ever want a midnight treat, just stop by and order whatever just popped out of the kitchen. Pure heaven!!
Never again to this location. I?m disappointed. The other two stores in the area are amazing. Friendly competent staff. We go to the one closer to home every Sunday but we had an appointment nearby. This was the first time in this location. The cashier forgot my youngest?s donut. I clearly said 2 of the special. The bathroom had no toilet paper or paper towels. So had to go back out and get napkins from the front. Had that been the end of it I would have shrugged and moved on. But then one stall was out of
If you meet the owner you will know he is passionate about his baked goods. A mix of Lebanese pastries and donuts. It smells and tastes delicious.
DO NOT COME HERE I watched the woman making donuts drop dough on the ground and put it back on the tray. She was not wearing gloves the entire time I was there. It is filthy in their, and they are letting us eat all of it. I have it two because they do have REALLY good donuts! But I am never coming back to this location.
No matter when I go , their donuts are always fresh. I tried the donut holes for the first time this last trip and I'm so sad I never had them before because they are silky little pillows of happiness. Absolutely the best donuts around Portland!
Marginal donuts at best. They were beautiful and had a nice assortment to choose from, but the flavor was lacking. Their coffee was good, so I was pleasantly surprised, but they were almost out of lids. Not a huge deal, just something I noticed. They also had milk for sale, which is nice when you eat donuts. But their water dispenser was empty and we had trouble getting anything out of it, but no one seemed to notice or care. They did see us trying but didn't help us, nor did they fill it.
Huge selection of donuts and they taste like most other donut places. We?ve been a few times and the staff is just not very friendly. Maybe it?s just my experience taking small children that take 15 seconds to decide what they want but it seems to be a bother that I don?t just come and complete my transaction immediately.
Sitting in front of store waiting for it to open at 5 am. It's now 5:05 and a woman comes strolling along like a Sunday afternoon.. I'm a bit confused as to the quality of their donuts.. I thought the donuts are fresh as in made today. It appears that is not the case here. There are no early workers preparing donuts for the Customer.. I will go in and see if the donuts are today fresh.. So the answer is No! They do not have any fresh donuts made today... Then why they charge an over priced fee for day old
Always delish. I had to change my review from 5 to 4. Mainly blc of the customer service. The donuts are usually delish but the customer service is not always the best. The white lady in the front does not provide the best customer service when busy or under pressure. Also, She can be a little impatient if you take too long to decide on what kind of donut you want. It makes the experience less pleasant.
They Keep getting my coffee order wrong. Simple black iced coffee. Multiple times I was given with cream. This last time I ordered 2 and only was delivered 1. Total waste of money. The Sesame Donuts in Sherwood is always perfect. I don't know why I keep giving this one chances. Two black iced coffees is not a difficult order. This kind of oversight this often is ridiculous.
I absolutely love the fact that when I order here, I'm treated with respect and kindness. On top of that, these donuts are so freaking delicious! If I could give a million stars for this location, I would.
Always a great place. They are friendly, very courteous and always go the extra mile, including making custom gluten-free donuts if they've already sold out for the day. Really great place that we will continue to keep coming back to
The girl was there and the busy. I watched listen and ring up just as fast. I may have had to wait but I understood it was busy. Finally my turn i told har my order she had it together with a blink of an I. I told her she was good. She said her 3rd day on the job. I said this place should be very grateful for having you. She said thankyou and we said bye. Just as good as the doughnuts. Excellent service.
I love sesame doughnuts and always have and always will. I was served by I believe her name was Megan, and I think I will no longer be going to this location. I am overall unhappy with the service provided and I am a little bummed that I requested a larger box for my dozen doughnuts and she shoved them all into a small box. The gentleman who was working has worked with me many times and has been wonderful everytime.
The staff was friendly and the service was quick, but the donuts were some of the worst I've ever had. The maple frosting fell off the maple bar, most of the donuts felt like they hadn't had enough time to to rise/had been over proved. Drove 20 minutes to get there, won't do that again.
If I could give it more stars I would. This is the best donut place in town. Fluffy pastries and delectable desserts, I'm always trying to find an excuse to come here. Love their donut holes and their scones that they sometimes have. Just great vibes in general and good treats. Wish I could get free donuts more often! ??
LOVE the people here and the donuts are just ??. A little spendy but WORTH EVERY PENNY.
Best donuts the the locals eat
Great service and tasty doughnuts! The twist doughnut is a mix of chrispy and soft. So delicious
Once again, Sesame donuts pulls off another successful location. This place is a great meetup spot - lots of nice tables, wifi, clean bathrooms, and very generous and kind staff. I was getting some donuts one night - this happened twice- and they asked if I wanted some extras and I said sure, so instead of 15 donut holes, they literally filled the bag. A+
Why do people like Sesame Donuts? Their donuts are bland, overpriced, and never fresh. Staff doesn't care about you. I am not a fan.
Good Donuts, fresh and tasty. We were lured in by the sign advertising Tillamook ice cream but it was pretty late and the ice cream had already been put away in the freezer for the night. Happily for us, the donuts were delicious.
Contains Health Issues*** As the husband of a former employee: Often times donuts will be dropped on the ground by employees, and then placed back on the screens to be frosted like the other donuts. When a customer orders a milkshake, my wife gave a full scoop of ice cream and her manager chewed her out for "wasting money". The employee's are given 6 free donuts per shift, and often times my wife would give a customer she connected with one of her free donuts, but she ended up getting in trouble for do
Always clean and smells delightful! Friendly, welcoming, helpful staff. Wonderful, delicious doughnuts! Mocha - Fave. Treat yourself to smiles & tasteful treats.
Friendly staff, great donuts, especially if your sniffer teaches you the times they start baking new batches. This location is owned by the same family as the one on Beaverton-Hillsdale is, but the prices are substanially higher here than there, which is why I'm rating this location 4 out of 5 stars.
There was a super sweet lady working where she was so kind to me and my mom! The donuts are super good to! Best donut shop I have been to I would 100% recommend.
First visit to Sesame Donuts. They have a good selection of donuts. However, no added value over supermarket donuts. Several donuts seemed a little dry and lacking flavor. A good donut place but definitely better choices out there.
We didn't expect this place to have ice cream but it does. And tasty donuts of course. And couple breakfast options which I believe are served all day. I suggest stopping by to check it out if your looking to satisfy your sweet tooth. They have a wide variety of Tillamook ice cream. They have another Oregon brand but I can't remember the name right now. It's a little more expensive than say dairy queen but it's the real deal. No fancy toppings like the yogurt places but this stuff has it inside the tasty i
They don't use soybean oil in their dough or frying. If you have a soy allergy Sesame Donuts is one of few donut shops in town that you can safely eat from.
Great experience. Really polite staff huge selection. Loved the chocolate croissant, crispy outside and lusciously layered with ample dark chocolate ganache filling. The bear claw also surpassed reasonable expectations.
Very friendly staff and always fresh doughnuts, also the other breakfast items are amazing, can't find them any place else. Best place for breakfast in the area. Me and my kids love it. Keep our family businesses busy.
We stopped by at around 6pm for coffee and donuts, but the coffee was empty and the donuts were dry. They tasted old, which was weird since you could see the donut conveyor belt making fresh ones in the back. (It was making cake donuts but we prefer jelly/cream filled.) Over all, a disappointing experience. I wouldn't go back. There's a nice donut shop right down 99 across from the turn you take to get to Walmart. Also Jimmy Johns, petsmart and tong thai are there so it's convenient, but darn it I like th
Staff is pleasant and helpful. The doughnuts are great. Most doughnut shops you can taste/feel all the sugar. Sesame uses less sugar than most doughnut shops. This is a child friendly place. All around a great community store.
Love that this place is near my house. Great fresh donuts and they have gluten free donuts too! They have such a good selection and feature special fun donuts with sprinkles as well.
Very nice they gave me two free small mini donuts for national donut day!
Sesame Donuts has a wonderful selection of delicious donuts, and an always friendly staff. This is definitely my favorite place for donuts in Beaverton!
Disappointing. Most of the staff here are teenagers working for the family business and don't seem to care about the shop or good customer service. They advertise Tillamook ice cream here but only a few of the ice cream flavors are actually from the Tillamook Creamery.
I have a severe dairy allergy and have been sick after eating their vegan donuts twice. I think they may have some dairy ingredients. I gave 2 instead of one star because I can?t know for sure. If you have a dairy allergy rather than preference, you may want to steer away.
Delicious soft and fresh donuts! The lady behind the counter was sweet and helpful! Best donuts in town with a fantastic large selection with creative and delicious options :)
Awesome staff, friendly. Great donuts. Last time I was here I was buying donuts for clients and the super nice lady behind the counter offered me a free donut and coffee
If you want novelty or Instagram shots, VooDoo is fine, but if you want genuinely really good donuts, Sesame is the spot. I spend a lot of time in San Francisco and have been spoiled by the amazing donut game the city has, but Sesame is the only PDX spot I get donuts because they're the best. Always an interesting assortment of flavors and varieties and I often don't get by until afternoon and still can usually find a decent amount of choices remaining.
Best donut shop in Portland I know. Even my daughter who never eats more then 2 small bites of a donut from other places finished the whole piece over there. I think their donuts are great
Definitely a family favorite. Not sure why this specific location?s donuts are always fresher than other locations. Great variety.
Kids love this place. Also make their own savory goods too.
Not sure why people like this place. The staff is usually rude and seems disinterested like I'm wasting their time and there's nothing special about their donuts. Also, this might be obvious but don't buy ice cream here as it's not fresh at all.
If you are open 5am to 8:40pm then list that as your hours of operation. I show up at 8:45 assuming they are open to 9pm like their site says and they are closed already. They just lost my business and I hope they lose yours too. Krispy Kreme wouldn't close at 8:40 when they are supposed to be open until 9, neither would Voodoo. Thanks for wasting my time. I would give you zero stars if I could.
Sesame donuts is a regular stop for us on the weekend mornings. My son loves them! My favorite is the Portland Cream and my son will vouch for anything with sprinkles ??
A frequent destination on family walks with our kids. Yummy donuts, and staff at this location are always very friendly.
The customer service is extremely good at this Sesame Donuts location. It was my first time visiting this location and a young man by the name of Ben was extremely helpful and kind towards me. Great place!
