I recently discovered Serres Donut Shop, and I?m so glad I did! This small, family-owned shop near my house has quickly become my go-to spot for donuts. The donuts are always incredibly fresh and bursting with flavor, with so many delicious options to choose from. The owner is also very friendly, making each visit even more enjoyable. I only wish I had found this place sooner! Highly recommended if you're in the area.
Never before have I wanted to give 100/5 stars. Serres donuts are absolutely top notch, the jelly stick stands out as my favorite by a large margin. Will be back to order 1 of everything soon. Coffee is top notch diner style and I loved every sip.
What a great find! So much better than Dunkin Donuts!! Clean, Delicious and super friendly. I had the sour cream and the apple cider...both were to die for. Hubby got the blueberry muffin and the table favorite chocolate coconut. Coffee was delicious. Many wonderful locals were there visiting and eating. Very warm feel.. like grandma's house. Highly recommended!
You can never eat a Dunkin? donut again, it?s a crime, it?s irresponsible, it?s downright depraved. Serres is the real deal, AND it?s cheaper. Best breakfast in Syracuse, when I?m an old man I?ll sit in here every morning enjoying my coffee & donuts until the cruel passing of night takes me back to the nursing home where I?ll sundown and forget who I am and abuse the nursing staff
Simply the best for over 40 years. I've been going here since they started. Nikki is wonderful and you will mot find a better home made donut!
Old school doughnuts shop. Nothing trendy here. Like it should be. Just good old fashion doughnuts. Our favorites are the apple sauce and the apple fritters. I come from out of town and early before they sell out. Service is with a smile. There are always colorful patrons to enjoy a chat and coffee with while you wait. Don't miss out!
Place is cash only. Friendly staff and good donuts. The chocolate glazed was my favorite. The jelly log was also very good, clear crisp on the fried part and raspberry filling.
I got the pineapple donut today and it was the best donut i?ve ever had. I highly recommend this place.
Delicious doughnuts at a great price. The doughnuts taste fresh (even late in the morning!) and aren't oily or greasy. At $1 per doughnut, they're easily better than any chain. Just be sure to bring cash since they don't accept cards.

What a delight to find this secret doughnut shop with a charming Lady that makes all her own doughnuts and has been there for many many years!! The sourdough jelly doughnut was superb!! If I was local I would try to go here all the time she deserves business please check it out!!

Nikki is the best. Donuts made fresh , bagel is impeccable, my favorite is the cranberry muffins and apple fritters with the fresh apples inside. Cash only. And I love the family ambiance and don't forget your coffee or hot chocolate I recommend it highly!!!!!
Old donut/coffee shop that seems to have never left the late 1950s, complete with an old cigarette dispenser in the back corner. Pineapple and choclate glazed donuts are excellent. But, expect a smaller selection as they get near closing.
These might possibly be the best donuts I have ever had! The owner was able to fill a large order for my office, and I am so grateful we were able to share these donuts with all of our staff! Absolutely delicious, and served with such kindness. Thank you!

These donuts are the best I've found in Syracuse. The place is old-school: no fancy-pants, frilly invented donuts, just classics, done to perfection. Glazed, powdered, plain, chocolate... they're all fantastic. I love visiting here. The lady who runs it is so kind and a joy to chat with. I hope nothing about Serres ever changes!
I just tried this place for the first time today and I absolutely LOVED it! The lady who helped me was very nice, and there was a wide selection despite (I'd assume due to covid) reduced business. The donuts were fresh and delicious! Also well priced! Definitely my new go-to donut shop!!
The best donuts around, and that's not all. Their baklava is the best I've ever had--seriously! There's also bagels, cookies, and other fresh baked goods. And the coffee is good too. My favorites: chocolate peanut donuts, chocolate coconut donuts, and that perfect baklava! And nothing is sickening sweet, but just right.
10 Stars! Not just 5! Wow! Fabulous treats! Excellent service! And if you go early enough you get great company from the regulars. What a wonderful place! There is not many like this left! What a treasure! Wish I didn't live so far away, I would be stopping by regularly. Sadly, an 8 hour drive is not possible when I want this family's yummy treats. :( You better believe though next time I am in town you will find me there! :)
Very Sweet little donut shop. The owner thought my son was so cute, she gave him a bag of goldfish. He thought that was the greatest. Donuts are homemade and they are big! I got a 1/2 dozen for $5.00.
Do yourself a HUGE FAVOR- go here. You need these donuts in your life, really, YOU DO. Best I have had in a long time. You know how a fresh plain donut is supposed to be a bit crispy on the outside?! Yeah. Just go here!
Very nice place. Feels very family friendly and a common place for people to stop and chat and have a bite to eat and purchase really good donuts. It's cash-only so don't expect to use your card but it's worth it and the baklava is very delicious!
Skip the Dunkin and try these donuts instead. They're better, more fresh, and cheaper. Coffee is good too. Bring cash. There's always easy street parking. You won't be disappointed.

The search for the perfect donut is over. We have to drive an hour to get to Serres, but it is well worth it. The donuts are the best, the people are very nice, and the other baked goods are tasty, too.

Definitely a hidden gem in Syracuse! Not like the other bakeries in Syracuse this one is mostly dedicated to their donuts. Be sure to go there in the morning (Before 11AM) before the donuts disappear ! ! !

First time after hearing about how good there jelly sticks are . Been past it a thousand times wish I would have went sooner . Other family members have been going there for years . Dounuts are unbelievable as is the bagels we will be stopping again.
My family loves donuts. I saw the rating so drove from Chittenango last week. The smell of this place was grease and sour smell. Donuts were over done and awful. Would NOT RECOMMEND SERRES.

You just have to make a special trip to Serres; the product is the real thing, my favorite is the ?Powdered Jelly Stick.? The jelly is of perfect sweetness, consistency with abundance of fruity flavor and knee-deep powder over a crispy tender donut. Drove up from Florida to see my daughter and eat some of Serres?s wares.
