Scotty's Doughnuts & Teriyaki Chicken

Stopped here specifically for the egg rolls. Also decided to pick up a couple of donuts. The spot used to be the best. The egg rolls were good. But the donuts not even close to what they used to be. In fact I don't think I would ever go there for the donuts again. The inside of the donut shop is so dirty and run down and just filthy. This place definitely is not what it used to be. They have awesome donuts...OPEN 24 hours! The atmosphere, ..if u go alone at night may I suggest u carry a gun. The owners r great 2...I suggest they wear kevlar vests! The fresh cream filled bars n fritters r the best around!!

Omg. The best Terriyaki rice bowls ever !!!! And jamming donuts. The family that owns it is very awesome. They are so kind and work so hard.

I've been coming here off and on for years for the teriyaki chicken bowls because they're pretty good. You wouldn't think a doughnut shop would make good teriyaki chicken but they do. They don't skimp on the portions so you get your money's worth. I docked 1 star because sometimes the rice is overcooked, probably because they microwave it. Nonetheless it's still better than most places in Modesto.

This place has the best Egg Rolls in Modesto a must to try plus they have a 24 hour drive thru location is in front of the Salvation Army

Best 24 hr donut & eggroll joint I've ever been to. The years of permeating grease and dirt from unwashed hands creates a patina that covers the entire building bringing out a subtle flavor found nowhere else. It's like it's baked into the building, making it impossible for them to change locations. Sas is included in the price when the sisters are working their shift. This is a Modesto classic and I hope it stays the same for many years to come. Thank you Scotty's!

They have the best doughnuts and the cream filling is excellent! The chicken teriyaki bowls are amazing and the staff is very friendly. Don't let the side of town or outside of the building stop you from trying Scotty's doughnuts, so good!

The donuts are good, but it's all about the chicken bowls. Never had a chicken bowl anywhere else with sauce that is even close to their flavor. Usually, get a double chicken bowl or pork and chicken with extra sauce. Sometimes, I will get extra sauce for the next day so I can make my own chicken bowl with their teriyaki.

This is a little hole in the wall place on Yosemite Avenue in Modesto. Super friendly staff great doughnuts. But the teriyaki chicken bowls are amazing you get your money's worth one bowl feeds to people very well. I love this place..!!

I have been eating the chicken teriaky bowl from this spot for well over 20yrs. The best around no competition. The chicken the use is always the best. Never gotten sick or had any complaints. The eggrolls are my fav around. An the best buttermilk bar an mapel bar i know of. Still open 24hrs for donuts. Which is awesome when you need a place to chll during the wiching hour.

I always get the chicken teriyaki here. I also enjoy the egg rolls but they might be a bit greasy for some people's taste. The egg rolls are giant though. Every once in a while the wife and I will get doughnuts here. She likes the cream filled chocolate eclair or sugar dusted and I usually get blueberry. Doughnuts are decent and they are open late or all night, I'm not sure.

Wow amazing food and it's a DRIVE THRU the food was so fresh and delicious and I didnt even have to wait very long. we got a chicken teriyaki bowl with double chicken the teriyaki sauce is house made and sticky sweet and just yum very impressed! Was told to come back in the morning to try the fresh warm doughnuts and will definitely be back.

My wife and I have coffee there most mornings early and when Sophie's their the coffee is especially good as is the service

Awesome customer service. The chicken bowl is definitely delicious with plenty of chicken on top of perfectly cooked rice and veggies. Don't forget to try the egg rolls at 2 for $2.50 great price and if you can catch them on a day when they are freshly made BONUS.

Yes, it is deserving of 5 stars but be warned, this place is right in front of the homeless shelter. I love that they are open 24/7 & have a drive through. I work nights so I've never had the pleasure of the teriyaki bowls, but the donuts are amazing. Personally I do find the taste of the chocolate icing a little off, but that is merely a personal taste issue and not a reflection of the establishment. I do recommend this place, they are one of the few places that have fountain Pepsi as well, which is a big deal for me. The best teriyaki chicken bowls in the area that I've tasted, and OMG their egg rolls are delicious and the size of small burritos. Sometimes they've been sweet to us and have given us a few free donuts with our order. I just love this place, it's healthy and delicious but the best part is that they give you a nice healthy serving

I loved it for a long time until I ordered that chicken bowl and I liked it a lot for a long time long time but recently I got it and I swear it had what look like dog hair and it's about really bad and I'm not saying say that being some type of way about race or any of that. I promise you if you get the chicken bowl please for your old health or even a piece of mind check the chicken thoroughly before you eat it

Best donuts I've ever had, and I've had plenty. Bavarian creme is the one. Silky...rich..cool..i can't say enough..Not too sweet but just sweet enough to make me dream of them. I had part of one from a friend last month and haven't stopped thinking of it. Also had the teriyaki chicken bowl which was tender, juicy, generous, with steamed veggies .. not soft... Awesome service! Their always happy and joking, I always leave with a smile! We moved out of Modesto a few years ago but I still make the drive just for their chicken bowls. Once you try them you won't go anyplace else.

This place use to be the best place for teriyaki and egg rolls! Every thing just is bland, cold and the egg rolls were thin and tasted like old oil. I wish I could leave a better review, but I wouldn't eat here again.

Been a patron since 1987(minimum)aka (BOY OR BLACK KRIS). Everything they cook is excellent! From the donuts to the teriyaki chicken bowl. After 15 years of not being in the area, the owners remembered and called me by my nickname!!! That's amazing and will always support them Mr.T's can't touch them!. MUCH LOVE! ??

I saw the reviews about how amazing the teriyaki chicken bowl was here, so I went and tried it for myself. The actual chicken bowl itself was fine, but the teriyaki sauce was excessively sweet, as though they had added sugar to normal sweet teriyaki sauce. I am not exaggerating when I say the sauce was as sweet as maple syrup. Today, I went to Teriyaki King on Coffee & Orangeburg, and am relieved that the sauce is not liquid sugar. The cool part is they are open late nite with a drive thru. But the place in general looks to need some deep cleaning or renovation. I don't think they are as up to code as they should be, they serve more than just donuts, they also serve teriyaki bowls. I've never tried so I can't comment on that.

Great chicken bowls and the only place I have found in Modesto, Ca real Egg rolls made with wonton wrappers outside of Jack in the Box. A nice variety of donuts that are well made and taste very good. Very polite staff and owners.

This place has great donuts. I actually love their apple fritters.. but it's not in the best of locations. But if you in the area and have the donut cravings, definitely try them out you won't be sorry...

This place is always great. Def not the prettiest from the outside and the area it is located in is kinda seedy. The teriyaki bowls have always been great all the years ive gone there. The woman is always so friendly and gives free doughnuts almost every time ive gone. Only con is the eggrolls, i think they make them early and leave them in a warmer for the remainder of the day so they arent crispy.

I was the only customer and she had one person in the drive thru and it took 20 minutes. This facility needs to be cleaned and the donuts weren't fantastic.

The best teriyaki bowel in town hands down, really good food. I've always heard my friends talking about how good this place is, but I was not really impressed tbh, but after I tried it I changed my mind, great comfort food, also great donuts if that's your thing.

I go to scotty's to get thier teriyaki bowls. I always go there to get them.Big plus ,they have a drive through. I just had one the other day. They cut off the bowls around 7 PM. I'll keep coming back.

Scotty's Donuts rocks they are awesome all they're doing is are good delicious wonderful but their coffee is amazing for just playing Columbia Roast Coffee it is delicious, I mean the only coffee that I think might even be better is Starbucks gourmet coffees but for a quick cup and Joe it's delicious and doesn't cost you almost 6 bucks a cup you need to try Scotty's Donuts cuz they have delicious coffee for it a large is about: $ 2. 00 (Small is $ 1.00) Not to mention teriyaki rice bowls are extremely delic

I needed a stop over before heading to Yosemite and scottys was perfect location. What a pleasant surprise everything was good. Coffee and donuts were amazing. Definitely worth my time and coming back every time I'm in the area.

I only get the chocolate bar with cream in side , it's the best I have ever had, also got the egg rolls and those are very good, and fountain drink, open 24 hours and a drive through, I try and stop there every time I'm in the area, highly recommend

Scottty's donuts is usually about the same. AWESOME. The teriyaki chicken bowls are about the business. The owners are polite and kind and are always willing to go over and above for thier customers. Always have been and im sure they always will be.

Delicious chicken bowl. Large enough to split and eat again later. Veggies sometimes not cooked perfect, so I usually order with no veggies.

I love this place it doesn't look like much but they always cater to you they sell donuts freshly made every day and if you want them filled they do that when you order sooo super fresh they also do teriyaki chicken bowls and egg rolls very delicious

The teriyaki bowl is great. Ask for double meat. The chicken is well cooked with a nice smokey flavor.

Not the best part of town, many transients, shabby looking building, but they serve the biggest and best Bavarian chocolate donuts around for cheap. Haven't tried their Chinese food, but will because their pastries are spot on!
