Super friendly staff, they clearly enjoy their work, starting work at 12 am to provide delicious doughnuts. I am a fan of the buttermilk bar and they offer 4 kinds, glazed, maple, chocolate, and vanilla. For sure the biggest buttermilk bars I have ever had. They also have a great variety of other doughnuts. For sure a great place to stop and get your doughnut cravings full filled.

Their chocolate bars are excellent. Everything else there sucked. Their glazed donut holes and glazed donuts have no glaze on them and they only come in cake form.. they are horrible. Their blueberry donuts were disgusting and they have no cinnamon rolls, sugar donuts, maple bacon bars, or any other type of donut that usually makes up the basic menu at almost every donut shop ever. Best donuts in town. They are a small family owned business and make great donuts. They use good ingredients as you can taste when eating their donuts

1) Savoy Donuts has fresher donuts than Peterson?s. 2) Savoy Donuts has better customer service than Peterson?s (more personal, kinder, and faster!). 3) Savoy donuts are SO AMAZING that I am officially a loyal Savoy-ian after being a Peterson-ian for 24 years. I always make my donut-run at the end of my shift, 20 minutes before Savoy Donuts close, and Cindy and Dan always take me in with open arms, and the donuts are STILL so fresh!!! They are amazing bakers, and wonderful people. Must try!!!

One of the best donut in town!! The owners are great and friendly. The donuts are BIG, soft and delicious. Satisfying cheweyness to it. The whole office loved it and now they are telling me i need to keep getting them more and more. I cant wait to try other donuts.... Especially ham and chees croissant!!

Great donuts. I really recommend them. Call ahead and order if you want something specific, they sell out almost every day. They are crispy, soft inside. They also taste great the next day. My favorite is their maple raised. Yummmmm. They are very kind and remember us. It reminds me of the donut shop from when I was a little kid in LA.

Been working in Escondido for 3 years, my first time walking in this place I was greeted by a super friendly lady (didn't get her name). She was patient, gave light hearted jokes and ultimately made my experience pleasant. Off first taste the donuts were airy, fluffy, soft and delicious. A taste and feel that could only be achieved when you put actual care into the food. I wanted to include a photo of the chocolate bar, but it was so good I devoured it before i had time. This is one of the best donuts I?ve had in a very long time and possibly one of the best donuts I?ve had in my life. The chocolate bar was very moist, and the dough itself was thick and yet airy at the same time. There was a generous amount of chocolate frosting on the top, which had a nice rich flavor and not too sweet. I will go out of my way to get donuts here when I?m in the area.

Love the donuts ??, but the family is the best. So friendly and caring. Tuesday and Thursday mornings there are seniors that meet outside and they know all of them. They are always refilling coffee and help everyone one find a seat that needs one.

Hands down the best donuts in Escondido/SD. The apple fritters, buttermilk bars, old fashioned, blueberry donuts, and spiced donuts are especially good. Family owned and operated. Flashback to when I was a letter carrier in Escondido. Picked these up for co-workers when I worked overtime. Now live in Indiana and wish they would franchise! Miss this place and was wondering if still here. Found them in 1991 and bought for 14 years. Enjoy. DH

Fresh donuts, made through the morning and when they sell out, they close shop! That means there isnt any funky dried out donut that's been chilling in a case all day. Savoy doesn?t look like much from the outside, but don?t let that fool you. Inside is stark with maybe seating for 8. Behind the counter is clean with excellent efficient service(every one wants donuts at the same time of day). The price for the quality is kind of stunning. I had planned to buy a dozen but ended up buying two dozen because it was so reasonable. They accept cash only but an ATM is two hundred feet away. I?ll be back for the efficient service and high quality.

The lady in the store was so sweet! I called right before closing to ask their hours and she ended up keeping the store open for me! Even as I got my dumb butt lost. -_- But she was there and she was so sweet and I'm so glad I went and got them because even at their oldest, right before closing--THE best donuts I've ever had. The donuts are great here. My family used to go to Peterson's for decades (yes, back in the early 90's) but have a new favorite in North County. Owner operated and they the nicest couple. Come in more than once, tell them your name and they'll remember you forever.

It's our first time here. Donuts are warm, soft and fresh. The size are supper big, I like it smaller. The store are also accepting credit card.

Not a bad donut but a small selection. No maple bars or chocolate cake donuts on this Saturday visit but we still found half of a dozen we could eat! Good price at 90 cents a donut, 9.95 for a bakers dozen. Selection and lack of artisan donuts ding this place but if you are looking for an old school neighborhood shop this might be for you.

This is the best place in town for doughnuts. I drive all the way across town for them. So worth it!!! Definitely got to try them!

Love this place but I wish they were open more. Also the blueberry cake donuts are the best thing ever. I wish they were also available more. It seems they run out pretty early or sometimes don't even make any for the day, other than that, I love this donut shop! Delicious!
